It's funny how many people mentioned Pyramid Head, when his power is the most non-interactive power in the game. Want to drop pallet? Do it and get a hit, or just run through and... get a hit. Want to jump in the window? Do it and get a hit, or fake it and... get a hit. Because i'm patient with him.
I think this is because many people meet mostly PH players who try to make random shots with his ability and isn't patient enough with him.
I think Blight and Wesker are the best design in the game. Both have insanely high skill ceiling and with pretty fair room for counterplay for survivors. That's why i love to play as and against them, unless it's tunneling Wesker with -8% crutch.
It really just depends on how the killer plays Pyramid Head. A good Pyramid Head that tries to go for more experimental shots (and does end up getting impressive ones) is fun to go against because of the potential to outplay his Rites of Judgement outside of an animation lock such as pallet dropping or vaulting. It all comes down to that crunch you feel upon dodging that ranged attack.
The patient Pyramid Head playstyle is not fun to go against because you vault a window and get hit by his rites of judgement, or you don't and you get M1'd. All Pyramid Heads will do that obviously, but skilled Pyramid Heads willing to try out crazier shots at times are pretty interesting and interactive.
-
Genuinely why do people even play like that? It almost feels like he's playing to make the survivors feel miserable rather than playing to have fun or even playing to win by tunneling a survivor at 5 gens as a top 3 killer. What does one gain from that?
-
Knight is the one killer I actually felt like playing but he's been killswitched for a whole month.
Aside from that, there's no excuse for this. A character should not be disabled for a whole month, maybe a week and a half at most but a month is beyond ridiculous. A patch should have been released solely to fix Knight prior to the mid chapter's release.
-
Killers who so happen to have anti-loop but are not anti-loop killers themselves usually have the most interactive forms of anti-loop. Wraith, Billy, Huntress, Bubba, Demogorgon, Oni, Blight, and Wesker all come to mind in this case.
-
A killer more focused on trickshots is kind of cool. Ricochet Trickster is probably one of the hardest killer playstyles in the game, but it's really satisfying to get ricochet downs.
Not fun to go against, though. It's not satisfying to outplay 10 million knives being thrown at you.
-
Are you referring to the PTB Onyrō or the new changes proposed in today's developer update? Just wanna be sure before I cast my vote.
-
Is Lery's really that small? I swear it takes a while to get across it, feels a lot larger compared to other maps.
I would say Midwich and both RPD wings are the smallest maps in the game. RPD feels larger because of all the hallways it has, yet it feels very minimal at the same time (not that it should be larger because god help me). I think the wiki has actual map scalings so that'll probably prove me wrong.
-
Maybe sooner or later but probably not right now. I don't play survivor as often and his perks don't seem too appealing to me except for the Boon perk (the main saving grace that attracts me) which might be helpful to teach my friends how to play this game.

Got the games in a sale a few weeks ago. Haven’t played them yet and am kinda excited.
Dont know why it got so many ‚haters‘ that don’t even know anything about it? From everything I know about it, it’s a pretty good fit for DbD.. and getting a killer added later would also be a good precedent. (Though I think L4D will still not be considered to get new content because no monetary gains, right?)
It's a shame that due to the lack of monetary gains that we won't see that many Valve collaborations. However I would still love for potential collabs with Valve again, such as legendary skins for Singularity of GLaDOS and maybe even Wheatley for the comedic voicelines. Also Coach from L4D2 as a legendary survivor skin would be gold. BBQ bacon burger.
-
I've never heard of Alan Wake prior to DBD but I'm happy for those that are fans of the franchise. If Alan Wake gets a killer, then awesome! The franchise has its fair share of fans in the DBD community so there'll be people happy for its inclusion in the fog, and we should be happy for them.
All that really matters to me is a character with good perks, and a killer that's fun for both sides.
-
Quick Gambit is quite possibly one of the worst designed survivor perks in the sense that it's absolutely useless. No killer is going to let a survivor run them around a generator where there's only 1 pallet and the person doing the generator gets chased off.
It has nearly zero redeeming qualities, only one barely redeeming quality in particular where it's a complete joke and a meme of a perk that you gotta respect the Gambiter gamers.
It needs a full rework from the ground up because it is such god awful design.
-
Yeah I think the add-on adjustments are pretty solid, still too many Overdrive duration add-ons but it'll do. I'm hoping to see Mother's Helpers, Pighouse Gloves and Leafy Mash come back in the future, though.
And The Thompson's Moonshine.I'm especially glad The Thompson's Mix returned and was rebalanced for its side effect, I was shocked to see it in the PTB because I didn't think they would recommission an add-on. His cooldown add-ons were my favorite pre-pre-rework.
-
She's a little harder to use on controller from what I've heard, so that's probably a large factor contributing to a lower pick rate.
I still think Xeno has a ton of missed potential. Crawler mode having a 24 metre terror radius was a cool implementation especially considering I'm a sucker for lower terror radiuses above 0 and below 32, and travelling through tunnels is pretty sick and one of the more creative forms of mobility and tracking.
However, I still think the tail strike is pretty lame. It's another clone of Rites of Judgement and especially Nemesis's tentacle. Maybe being able to latch and climb on walls to reach greater heights for instance and then striking off walls would have been very unique and would have made Xeno one of the most game-changing killers to be introduced. It definitely would have been harder to implement especially considering they already worked their asses off on making the tunnels, but it's still something I wish to see. Also, not to mention the fact that there's not much counterplay against an Xenomorph in crawler mode. You dodge it? Well, cool I guess, about as rewarding as 360ing a killer. It's either you get hit by the tail or a basic attack at a window.
And finally, my biggest pet peeve regarding Xenomorph: turrets. Another mechanic that relies on solo queue teammates to put turrets in proper areas yet they just so happen to put them right next to generators or stations rather than loops that punish Xeno directly.
The best part about Xenomorph overall are her varying terror radiuses and her form of mobility. Her chase power, though? Not so great.
-
I agree with this 100%, both of those add-ons were cool and Mother's Helpers was especially a genuinely useful add-on outside of meme builds. Also, bring back Leafy Mash, it was another cool add-on that benefited from stealth Billy/silent Billy builds.
I also think Pighouse Gloves can stay over the new purple Overdrive add-on because it benefits more from Overdrive than it did with Overheat. It was a cool idea of an add-on but no one ever got value out of it since it required you to overheat. Now that Overdrive exists and replaces the mechanic, it would actually work more consistently while not being busted.

Been my GOAT ever since I copped DBD! Maybe it's time I have Clown as my next PFP.

Why not Clown? Not many users have Clown as their profile picture, though our friend @Akumakaji comes to mind.
They are pretty rare.
That is true... I just might have to consider that actually.

And I thought for sure you mained Deathslinger! I need to stop looking at profile pictures and immediately assume people main that character.
I think people will probably mistake me as a Demo main when I am very much not, I just can't decide on profile pictures anymore and kept Demogorgon as my staple because I like Demo and Stranger Things lol.
-
Still a Clown main at heart, but I've been playing Billy for most of my hours to the point where I decided him to be my first P100 goal. Singularity is also up there.
-
I say Pop when I'm talking about the perk vocally. Through text I say PGTW. P-guh-two...?
-
I haven't gone against a Bubba in a long time. Like, a really long time.
The other two I rarely go against are Artist and Singularity for... obvious reasons.
-
@Dustin said:
Playing against Singularity - It had been so long that I'd played against one last night that I forgot to use my EMP I was holding. Last time I saw one was about 4-5 months ago give or take. Ironically I enjoy playing them I just haven't versed them at all since basically launch.
I played a lot of Singularity but never went against one until like a few months after learning him, and my mind was blown when I learned how the EMP worked for the first time. The fact that it's a whole sphere, the fact that you have to click M1 to activate it after charging it, yeah.
To be fair I'm a killer main so I don't play survivor often but it felt so surreal playing against a killer I'm familiar with, yet not knowing how to go against them...
-
It's insane how many people are overreacting about the anti 3 gen update. Unless you're playing chess as Knight you will never hit the 8 kick limit on a single generator. In this case, 8 is a larger number than it sounds.
We got baseline 5% regression instead of the previous 2.5% and a gen tapp patch to compensate. If you don't rely on guarding only three generators for your lives to win games, then this update is the best thing to happen for killers.
-
Scrapped Tape is pretty cool. I always like add-ons that try to change the killers' powers to their pre-rework variants, such as Bubba's Carburetor Tuning Guide and (sort of) Freddy's Pill Bottle.
But yeah as you said there probably won't be many changes for Doc since he's under the killer tweaks list and there's about 5 other killers being adjusted all at once, so changes similar to 5.3.0 are to be expected but I would love to be proven wrong. As cool as they sound, AI illusions would probably fall under the killer updates category.
I am also really, really hoping for a 40m terror radius for a stronger Static Blast because BHVR has been willing to experiment with terror radiuses more often with Wesker's 40m terror radius and Xeno's 24m crawler mode radius (28m Pig comeback when?).
I wish you the best of luck for the next mid-chapter, hopefully Doc will get the buffs he so deserves (especially the longer range for shock therapy) and some nicer add-ons. As for my main Clown... I just want him to have an extra bottle base-kit lol.
-
Knight for sure. Pathing and mindgaming where survivors are going to go is pretty satisfying when it pays off, but there's not much you can do against him as survivor.
Xenomorph is another one because I do think hitting tail strikes is pretty satisfying and the tunnels are very very fun to use, but it almost feels like there's nothing you can do against an Xenomorph in crawler mode because you can't rely on solo queue teammates to place turrets in the right spots and there's not much of a punishment for an Xeno missing their tail strike.
-
I really like these ideas, two of them worth noting however as you stated are the buffs I wish for the most:
Buff Remnant's movement speed a little (holding down the TP) from 3.68 m/s to maybe 3.76 m/s or 3.8 m/s.
As you stated, teleport speed should definitely be faster in daytime, so my suggestion is to increase the speed of traveling through lockers from 12 m/s to 16 m/s in order to make it a little more usable in chase as well as enhancing his mobility.
The goals of my desired buffs is to enhance his chase power and making his mobility more efficient at the same time, making him far less map reliant in the process. I feel like Nightfall inflicting Blindness might be a bit too much as it's already a pretty powerful phase for Dredge, but it could work as a nice add-on as you stated.
There is also the option for locker spots to be adjusted for maps that Dredge struggles getting hooks in on average.

Tbf I play her with this ish but also as a trap killer. Survivors just run to places that make it better for me to trap. Chase and place drones at spots that are good for them to be at like if a survivor runs me to shack ofc Im using a drone because that eliminates shack from play, if they then run to main well then boom drone at main as well. Long loop that I can't mindgame? A drone will do great there!
So sometimes its just coincidence
During chases you're most definitely going to need to put a drone at a window or a pallet, I was mostly referring to Skull Merchants who only use their drones during chases or only place them directly on generators which is a common mistake that Skull Merchants make.
Skull Merchant's trap playstyle is pretty respectable to me because you actually have to keep in mind of the drone's range, tiles or buildings that survivors are likely going to commit to such as the main building. In the Killer Shack you can actually place a drone on the side of the entrance area (such as next to one of the lockers) and survivors will not see it coming because it's hidden from their line of sight.
Obviously all Skull Merchants are going to drop a drone in chase though because that's pretty much required and is the right thing to do during chases because while it does force a survivor out of the loop, there's the chance they may fall in a drone's radius allowing for mindgame opportunities.

I want it in the game and it can be made to fit the game.
Thank you for your input, I am now unironically in support of your desire to get Power Rangers in the game. Legendary skins or even a full-on chapter, you name it.
-
For Billy - Bring back Mother's Helpers, replacing Discarded Air Filter. and buff it to 45 seconds. It was a decent add-on with some nice perk synergy. Also, bring back Pighouse Gloves, replacing High-Speed Idler Screw, with a new buff: that it now increases the action speed of vaulting windows. It would work better with Overdrive rather than Overheat, where it would almost never activate. There's too many Overdrive duration-related add-ons when only two types of Overdrive add-ons are necessary: time duration add-ons (no dissipation) and additional effects during Overdrive add-ons.
For Blight - Honestly I feel like the turn rate add-on is fine, it's the synergy with his infinite rush add-on that makes it absolutely busted. Feel free to prove me wrong, though, as I've heard it has good synergy with the new Alc Ring.
-
Probably in its best state at the moment. It's the closest DBD has to a 'parry' but it has more prerequisites to activate than before, making it fair.

Nah, P100 is 100% totaly optional and totaly waste of your time and BP unless you have literaly no point or goal to use BP and just want to drop it on your fav character.
Once you add some rewards, some people will feel the need to unlock it / unlock it all and they will just spend BP into worthless thing. We don't need to add a layer of motivation for it either. Same if they add achievement that requires you to unlock prestige 100 on someone just for some people wanting to 100% the game. It's totaly pointless and just waste of time.
You don't have to get "reward" for spending and wasting bilions into one character(s).
Needless to mention you're also already rewarded with a crapton of add-ons and offerings and by the time you've reached P100 you basically have an unlimited supply of all add-ons for the character.
-
P100 is a badge of honor to show the players you've played with or gone against that you're dedicated to that certain character. It's simple as that, just a badge of honor. It's not something that should be rewarded, rather something to be proud of for obtaining.
-
The drone concept is cool, and the drones themselves look cool. Her aesthetic, on the other hand, not a big fan...
Power? Literally Status Effect: The Killer. She's got it all: Undetectable, Broken, Deep Wound, Hindered, Haste... and with add-ons Mangled and Hemorrhage. Pretty lame. I feel like they could have done a lot more with drones, such as being able to spy on survivors while controlling a drone.
Playing her as a trap-based setup killer is kind of fun but no SM I've played against has played her like that, they only place drone at loop and force survivor to leave loop and it's really not interactive, or they just constantly place drones on gens and force survivors to hack them, it's pretty boring counterplay. I guess the drone hacking minigame is fun, though.
-
I second this, it would be cool to have more customization in the characters menu. I want to see Naughty Bear on my menu, not the Trapper!

It's sad that STBFL got changed, since old STBFL before the base kit 10% was added, was fine. I think the 4% change would have been just fine to make it what they used to be, but idk.
I do hope that they listen to the backlash about the STBFL nerf. I don't mind the nerf to 4%, but being able to avoid losing stacks was a key part of the perk that made it fun. It is a strong and powerful perk, but not game-breaking nor overpowered.
-

The worst thing is it's practically basekit at this point. If I get a Myers there's like a 90% chance they will have it.
Literally this, it's absolutely hilarious. Every time I go against a Myers they almost always run Tombstone Piece or Judith's Tombstone. If not, they are 95% going to have Tuft of Hair with J. Myers. It's such a meme at this point.
Current Tombstone is basically the closest there is to the old moris or even the old old moris, so that's probably why it's so popular for Myers to run them because it's an easy way for people to get consistent 4ks every game, just like the old old moris. As for why it's super meta in Japan I have no clue, but it's still pretty popular worldwide, just not as common in the U.S. servers from my experience.
-
Jill Valentine can play the piano pretty well.
-
5 seconds and allow it to work in the endgame.
I don't understand the concept of pity kills and why they are so necessary, 4 escapes and 4 kills will inevitably happen between games. A perk shouldn't be an unused slot simply because the survivors did their objective.
-
10. Absolute 10.
Now that Billy has been fixed, Freddy needs complete priority. He is in such an awful spot and needs another full rework closer to his older version (pre-rework). I would gladly trade all killers' changes in the killer tweaks dropdown in the roadmap except for Pig, for a full killer update for The Nightmare.
There's such huge demand on a rework for Freddy that I'm surprised BHVR hasn't stated anything about potential changes for him. Here's hoping for the second half of 2024.
-
The kill rates would be... exceptionally high. Everybody would suicide on hook LMAO
-
The Blight buff: he can now collide on every single object no matter what, INCLUDING dropped items. This totally won't be detrimental to the Blight, he can now chain rushes more!
-
Elodie my beloved, she's so underrated.
I don't main her but I do want to start playing her at some point... once I get more cosmetics for her.
-
"Hey, do your job, killer. Start slashing, not kicking."
Food for thought: I feel like the Entity would canonically loathe camping and tunneling because there's not much action going on other than a single survivor being forcefully taken by the Entity while less survivors are panicking. Only being able to feed on the fear of a single survivor must sound boring when there are three other survivors with potential tastier fears. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if the single survivor getting camped/tunneled is moreso disappointed and mildly annoyed about getting targetted rather than scared or frightened, being punished by the Entity simply because the killer refused to go for anybody else. There's a reason why the Entity rewards less bloodpoints for such, after all...
-
I used to play Base-kit Bubba often but in order to do his flicks around larger tiles you need one of the engravings and the chili add-on. I like your ideas, but I would personally make the yellow Knife Scratches add-on for +2% faster movement speed (without the charge time reduction) base-kit and make each charge 0.25 seconds longer. Just a small base-kit buff that allows him to close in distances better and allow for using different add-ons rather than only Chili and Engravings.
Carburetor Tuning Guide is fine, it's an add-on that mainly relies on Haste perks such as PWYF since it's an add-on that turns him into old Bubba. It's one of my favorite killer add-ons in the game, as a matter of fact.
For the Tantrum window add-ons The Grease and Long Guide Bar: Give The Grease a cooldown reduction after missing a Chainsaw Sweep as well as reduced Tantrum Duration, and make Long Guide Bar destroy pallets faster with the Chainsaw. The Tantrum window add-ons are pretty useless because the mechanic is literally used as an anti face-camp mechanic, and using those add-ons to facecamp doesn't even help.
-
It would be a 50/50 change. It would give tunnelers a buff as they would now go for the easier picks, while also giving normal killers an advantage to know how to get more hooks.
But to be honest, tunnelers are going to tunnel regardless because it's how they've always been playing, so I wouldn't mind this change.

Hey, thank u for the feedback, I don’t see Billy being much higher, and that comes from someone who played quite a bit of Billy, he’s MILES better now, but he’s still gets Fd over by maps and crouching, still, I’m very happy with his changes. Yeah I must admit that wraith was positioned a bit too high, but I do think he’s a pretty decent killer, even in comp he usually does pretty well, although he can’t keep up if everything is aloud, but hardly any killer can, but I see ur point, then again nice to see that u do agree with the majority:)
One thing worth noting is that you never put any killers below the C-tier, which I agree with that sentiment because no killer is inherently incapable of winning, but it is possible for a killer to be the weakest or the strongest in the game. Wraith's a decent killer for sure and I love playing as him & against!
I would say the buffs definitely made him far less map-reliant, but he is still one of the more map-reliant killers in the game so I think his placement in your list is fair.
-
Pretty solid tier list!
I would probably bump up Artist and Wesker right above Oni, with Artist above Wesker. A god Artist can absolutely stomp with her ability to literally hit across the entire map more consistently than Huntress. Wesker with his techs is a nightmare to go against. The issue with Oni that makes him worse than the other two is that he has a power that can be deactivated for a large portion of the game if the survivors make it too difficult for him to catch up. Oni at the top of A- makes sense for me, with Singularity at the lowest of A-.
The placement I disagree most with however is Wraith's placement, I don't think he's stronger than any of the killers that he's put above. He has okay-ish anti-loop but it's one of the most inconsistent chase powers in the game other than his ability to close in distances. His mobility and stealth are decent but windows and pallets are such a nightmare for Wraith, especially ones that are even slightly safe. The other killers below him are much better at securing downs, tracking survivors, and moving across the map. If they added back his +0.25 seconds to his uncloak speed boost I would actually agree with his placement, though. I would put him in the top of C+.
As others have stated it's a little too early to be confident about Billy's placement in a tier list, but I predict that he'll be deemed below Oni, or maybe even above.
-
It's a Miracle!
Your assistance grants the rest of your team a sense of optimism.
After stunning the killer by any means, your teammates gain a 40%/50%/60% action speed boost for Conspicuous Actions during the killer's stun duration. After the stun duration, the action speed boost lingers for 2 seconds, lowering the boost down to 25% during the linger duration.
Boon: Interloper
Unwelcome intruders will inevitably receive despair.
Press and hold the Active Ability button on a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.
Soft chimes ring out in a radius of 24 metres.
When any player goes in the Boon Totem's radius, gain a Token, up to a maximum of 5 Tokens. When a player leaves the radius of the Boon Totem, lose a token. Once 5 Tokens have been reached, the Token count can no longer go down. Each token grants a unique ability:
1 Token: Gain a 1% Haste Status Effect while running.
2 Tokens: Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by by 9%/12%/15%.
3 Tokens: When not in a chase, the Killer's aura is revealed to you in a 128 metre radius.
4 Tokens: The Killer's Action speed of breaking Breakable Walls, Pallets, and damaging Generators is reduced by 30%. The Boon Totem's aura is revealed to the killer within 32 metres.
5 Tokens: All survivors gain a 50% Haste bonus for the rest of the trial until the Boon Totem is snuffed. The Boon totem's aura is revealed to the Killer within 128 metres.
When the Killer snuffs the Boon Totem by any means, the effects of Boon: Interloper disappear. When the Killer snuffs the Boon Totem while Boon: Interloper has 4-5 Tokens, all survivors are given the Exhausted status for 40 seconds, and the perk is deactivated.
Only one Totem can be blessed by your Boon Perks at a time and all of their effects are active on the same Boon Totem.
Cosmic Eternity
Surviving for what felt like an eternity has granted you such incredible relief, allowing you to use your full mental capacity.
Once the exit gates are powered, your full Aura-reading potential is unlocked, allowing you to see the Auras of Pallets, Windows, Totems, Exit Gate Switches, Hooks, Chests, and the Hatch within 64/96/128 metres.
-
It's a very underrated and fun perk that works well both standalone and endgame perk synergies. I personally use it on my Nemesis in order to help close in distances passively. The fast that the Haste stays on for a few more seconds after leaving the range is really, really helpful as well.
I also use it on my old Bubba-esque build with Carburetor Tuning Guide with PWYF and Nemesis in order to get the closest possible distance and guarantee downs with the extra PWYF stack from Batteries Included.
I love Batteries Included for its passive effect, it's a straightforward yet goofy perk that comes in clutch in the most random of times.

Oni, without question.
He's got a cool mask, that's for sure. Compared to the other killers in DBD his design is incredibly unique, badass, and sticks out pretty well. Definitely one of my favorite characters in the game.
