I would love to see Coach and Zoey as standalone survivors. Barbecue Bacon Burger! Zoey is technically already in DBD because of the Meg cosplay, though, so that probably won't happen.
I see people saying The Witch as their preferred, but I personally prefer the Tank to be the killer as we already have an example of what his gameplay could look like. His gameplay could be similar to how he plays in versus, where he could knock the survivors and throw them across the map, and his secondary ability would be to pick up a large rock and throw it to instantly down a survivor (though this would be very hard to use due to how it works in L4D2, adds to his skill floor). The Tank is already really fun in versus, so seeing such gameplay would be pretty interesting in DBD.

Billy is my day 1, especially a competent curve/flick Billy. Respect the M2!

In my tests, the Clown's bottle throws didn't lose any Play with Your Food or Save the Best for Last tokens, so I believe BE didn't classify the Clown's bottle throws as "attack actions".
Just re-tested it and you were right on this, my bad on that part. I swear PWYF used to have that behavior with Clown. I apologize for the misinfo, will edit my comment to prevent people from being misguided.
According to the wiki, Clown's direct bottle hits behave like special attacks, but are not actually listed as special attacks just like Trapper's trap catch events. However, Trickster falls under that category of "Other Attacks" yet all of his blade hits, even the ones that don't result in injuries, consumes tokens. I think we can safely come to an agreement that this is the result of spaghetti code.
-
STBFL only consumes tokens when a basic/special attack hits a survivor. If it misses, the tokens stay. PWYF consumes tokens even if you miss your basic/special attack, meaning Trickster can lose all PWYF stacks quickly. Both are working as intended (except for Knight's guards not consuming STBFL), but that doesn't mean I think it's justified the way it works.
Pinhead's chain bound
and Clown's bottle hits have alwayshas always been considered a special attack. It's very weird but that's how it works.Hitting the obsession with a direct bottle hit would literally consume 2 tokens of STBFL, and 2 more tokens if you hit the obsession with a basic attack.I've always wanted them to change how PWYF works so that it doesn't consume tokens on missed attacks including M1's. Looks like STBFL is the new victim of this situation. Hopefully they revert STBFL completely because it was my favorite perk to run on Pinhead. Rapid is my new alternative for Pinhead but it's not as good as STBFL since Pinhead stands still a lot.

He could use some better add-ons (half of his add-ons are good) but that's about it. His base-kit is fine.
-
As a Visionary connoisseur myself I think it's fine as it is. It's especially helpful on indoor maps (aside from Lery's, the neon signs help me enough). Just remove the cooldown that it got when the live version of the perk released and increase its range to 36 or 40 metres.
I think your perk idea is cool and I would love to see it as a new perk, but I don't think Visionary should be deleted for it. For instance, the same thing happened to my precious Built to Last (ironically another Felix perk) where BHVR reworked it into a boring locker perk and removed its unique attribute of buffing an item's duration instantly. It was certainly weaker than the current Built to Last, but I personally enjoyed it more. It was one of my favorite perks in the game when Descend Beyond dropped.
-
Corrupt Intervention (most important for tracking survivors in the early game), Pain Res, PGTW (instantly go through tunnel, find generator noises, and use PGTW on gen). 4th perk can either be UW, Grim Embrace, DMS. Beware that UW isn't as good for Xeno due to her 24m terror radius in crawler mode and lack of terror radius in tunnels, so I suggest it the least. I recommend GE the most. Pick your poison.
Best add-ons are Kane's Helmet, Emergency Helmet and Star Map. Kane's Helmet is easily her best add-on because it's basically Sloppy Butcher for the tail.
-
I actually quite like this idea. It would encourage killers to focus on hooking different survivors at once because getting an early kill would be detrimental for them for the rest of the game due to generators being faster.
As compensation though, killers should be able to see the hook counter that survivors can see, that way it gives them an idea of who they should or shouldn't hook in order to avoid generators going faster by 'accidentally' tunneling someone out.
-
Hope is fine, it's an endgame perk so it's bound to be strong. Like Adrenaline, you're a 3 perk survivor for the entire trial until the exit gates are powered. It's earned for surviving for such a duration.
The only current issue I can see is when you're a 110% killer and you have difficulty catching up to the survivor with Hope, but 4.4 killers usually have abilities to snipe from long ranges (except for probably Hag if there's not enough traps placed) so Hope isn't too detrimental against them. It's fine as it is.

2v8 needs to happen, it would be a blast. Balance problems are inevitable because DBD was never built with 2v8 in mind, but it's still going to be really fun nevertheless. Plus, imagine an 8 player SWF party...
It would also help get my friends to try and play killer.
-
Probably because there isn't really anything new to look forward to in DBD at the moment. New killers? Interesting, but nothing special. New maps? Pretty, yet done plenty. Balance adjustments? Cool, but it's still the usual. Lights Out? Also pretty cool, groundbreaking for DBD's standards too, but yet it's just DBD but with cut content and darker environments, which doesn't seem to interest everybody.
I think in order for DBD to peak again they need to create something groundbreaking, like an all-new unique gamemode such as 2v8 or Prop Hunt. Lights Out was a cute prototype but it wasn't super crazy and not everybody seems to enjoy it either.
-
Keep playin' chill. While I can't blame you for bringing stronger add-ons the next game you might end up getting matched against a chill SWF or a solo queue team. Eventually when you keep playing with chill builds, you'll be matched up with chill survivors that'll respect how you play. Give hatch every now and then and you might make somebody's day!
-
Freddy!
-
Off the Record is fine, it's the most consistent anti-tunnel perk as long as you don't get farmed. It's a strong perk, but not overpowered.
The only change I would do is make it so that the base-kit BT uses Mettle of Man's endurance instead, that way OTR can't be instantly consumed.
-
Zero blink Nurse is really fun. It's kinda like Legion where you get a guaranteed injure but instead of having slowdown you have the chance to get a guaranteed down later in the game once your blink finally recharges as long as you don't mind being an M1 killer for a little while. It's a much more chill playstyle for Nurse and has good perk build potential. I like STBFL, Enduring, and Superior Anatomy. Knock Out + Forced Hesitation is also something I used for her.
-
What changes are we talking here?

Seeing Billy back in the high A tier is quite heartwarming.

As far as I am concerned, he was never truly gone. He just went to buy some ingredients for his chili.
I wonder what he puts in his chili's seasoning.
-
Bubba mains shall rejoice when that happens. Basement Bubba meta will return!
-
Not rude at all. It's the survivor equivalent of giving someone the hatch and I also do it occasionally if I respect how the killer played. That killer was just trying to dish out the pain, in... well, the strangest circumstance, but yeah.
-
They're not everybody's cups of tea, which is fair.
Reaching Artist's skill floor is simple: place crow that forces survivor to go there and either M1 them or get a free injure; it's not really satisfying to do. However, learning her more experimental and advanced techniques with her power... that consumes a lot of brainpower that not everybody is dedicated to doing. I've seen some crazy Artist plays where they create entire setups with multiple crows at once and injuring survivors with them, they're insane. There's a lot of strategy going on there but it's really, really difficult to learn. Crossmap shots aren't easy either. Artist can be really fun if one takes the time to master her, but simply learning her basics and playing her in the simpler playstyle isn't very satisfying, leading less people to be willing to master her.
Dredge I feel like is moreso people struggling to understand how and when to Remnant and being too stressed from locked lockers, leading them to being discouraged to learn them.
-
Doc used to be quite uncommon for me but I don't go against them these days anymore. I would gladly trade these pesky Xenos for Doctors.
-
Seems like we've got a doppelganger type deal here going on, likely a non-human creature as well. This is very, very exciting because of how unpredictable the power design could be.
-
I'm a really weird killer who's dedicated to getting as many M2 hits as I can, avoiding M1 as much as possible unless I'm playing a literal M1 killer. Plus it gives the survivors a good time if I'm playing Billy Bubba PH or Nemesis. I HATE M1!!!!!!
I have my limits though I absolutely need to M1 if I'm playing Wesker

I enjoy the east side very much, one of my favorite maps for both sides. West side can go though.
I genuinely don't know what it is that makes East Wing more enjoyable, but I seem to have a good time on it while suffering on the West Wing.

I don't usually stack generator regression unless I'm playing Pig or Freddy, I usually just use chase or tracking perks. I run PGTW and Corrupt on Freddy and Corrupt and Surge on Pig. I feel like Corrupt is a must for me when playing as Trapper or Hag due to their setup nature.
I like more experimental slowdown perks such as SH: Gift of Pain (my favorite killer perk in the entire game) because it's Sloppy Butcher with extra steps to obtain the effects but with an additional reward of the survivor having slower repair speeds until healed.
Ruin is also nice w/ BBQ, Nurse's and either Whispers/Discordance/Enduring for my nostalgia-esque build (bonus points if it gets cleansed at the start of the match for the true experience!). It's a pretty solid perk IMO now that it doesn't have the deactivation after killing a survivor.
I usually just run at most one slowdown perk (Pain Resonance, Oppression my dear beloved, or Surge usually) if I absolutely have to (for instance, if I'm still learning a killer such as Billy) unless I'm playing one of the weaker killers. The one I'm using the most currently is Grim Embrace, it feels like I'm actively being rewarded for hooking survivors, so it feels quite good to use.
For the most part though, not really. The 2.5% base regression (now 5%) is really nice and was quite a welcome addition for me when I got back into DBD as someone who didn't stack generator slowdown perks.
-
BHVR has been willing to be more experimental with terror radiuses and committed to separating terror radiuses with movement speeds, with three of the more recent killers having stranger yet reasonable stats: Chucky having a 32m radius and 4.4 m/s, Onryo having a 20m radius and 4.6 m/s, and Wesker having a 40m radius (something that has never been done before) and 4.6 m/s. I hope to see a terror radius pass eventually for the older killers.
Common perks in the shrine would be nice, would add more for me to unlock since I already have all teachables, especially considering I still have characters without Bitter Murmur or No One Left Behind. Would be a nice little optional bonus for completionists.
-
So cut an entire mechanic, an entire library, and a literal staple of the game... from DBD? No thanks, perks allow for replayability in this game.

Saying KWF phonetically sounds too much like another word and you know it's gonna get called that.
I finally realized what word it sounded like. It's so over please make 2v8 killer side solo queue only because I never want to hear that again god save our souls if kill with friends becomes a thing

I don't think people love Billy, they love Billy mains. The OG Billy mains are fun and stylish. Most of the new ones are just jumping on him because he's really strong and easier to use than before. I haven't seen a single M2 only Billy since his rework released.
M2 only Billies are a blast to go against if they're competent at curves and flicks. Various room for outplaying them too. Shame that I only go against M1llies these days. Still decently fun to go against a M1lly but I like Billies that go for experimental chainsaw hits, I gotta respect them for hitting those crazy downs.
Billy's skill floor has been lowered big time so more people have learned the basics of Billy: feathering and backrevving, without having to worry about the unforgiving chainsaw cooldown.
-
2v8 needs to happen inevitably. We have survive with friends and kill your friends, it's time for Kill WITH friends.
-
While Lights Out isn't much, it's a cute little gamemode that reminds us what DBD was intended to be: a survival horror game where there is paranoia and fear of getting caught by the slasher.
Love or hate the gamemode, it will open gates to more possible gamemodes being added to the game now that the framework for modifiers has been completed. Ridiculous that it took this long, but better later than never, so it's still very exciting.
-
Fat Blight is finally here. Placebo Tablet wasn't enough for me.
-
Looks like it works just like PWYF now, shame.
-
Would it be a good change if Distortion didn't lose a token when another survivor's aura is shown at the same exact time your aura would be shown? I feel like it might prevent them from being 0 hooked for the entire game and have the rest of the team get killed because the killer now has the option to find you if they use BBQ for instance.
Or perhaps make it so that Distortion takes up two tokens instead of one if another survivor's aura is shown at the exact same time, that way it's more useful against Nowhere to Hide and still works against Lethal.
I think Distortion is fine but there's some instances where it gets annoying that I end up hooking everyone 3 hook states without tunneling and there's one guy left I get only one hook on and less bloodpoints off of all because the aura reading of BBQ never lead me to them. I like playing for hooks, not kills.

oh, good. They need to update and fix the animations then
It's pretty much why Repressed Alliance is a decent counter to Ruin because you could use it to let go of a gen and have the entity block the gen to prevent it from regressing while the killer terrorizes you off the generator.
-
Onryo, Pyramid Head and Naughty Bear. First two will probably feel damn scary to be chased in the dark by, and I want Naughty Bear to feel scarier in this gamemode.

At least Dredge still has Nightfall and the Remnant even if he gets a map with bad locker spawns. Singularity is a very good killer on a lot of maps but on Lerys and Hawkins he's genuinely worse than Trapper.
I'm such an indoor map magnet when I play Singularity to the point that it discouraged me to play the meatsack robot. I love him but god is he miserable on Lery's and Hawkins. RPD is surprisingly more bearable for me because of the openness of the main hall, and The Game and Midwich are okay but still ridiculously difficult to use biopods on due to how easy it is to break LoS with the amount of rooms and walls.
-
Okay this is hilarious because it's another middle finger to Freddy (I lost count to the amount of times BHVR has bullied poor Freddy) but also really unfortunate. If Lights Out becomes a staple modifier eventually rather than a prototype, then they need to adjust the dream world for the gamemode, no excuses.

If they nerf his Chainsaw Sprint CD including the addons, he is fine.
Unfortunatly, as we all know from Blight, this wont happen before 2028.
His base-kit cooldown is fine. It's basically the same as the engravings giving him bigger movement speed when cancelling the chainsaw, except tuned down. His chainsaw needs to be more forgiving in order to encourage players to actively use the chainsaw more.
His cooldown add-ons should be reverted back to the PTB variant where the percentages are much higher but only affect successful chainsaw hits. Those add-ons were the ones I was excited for the most.

Dwight without glasses looks so uncanny. Love the fit though!

Not really. Only thing you can do is look at a wall if you can. Or run Fire Up (lol). Flashlight timing is way too forgiving now.
Kind of prefer the way flashlights were prior to the 0.4 second buffer at the end of the pickup animation. It felt more satisfying to hit flashlight saves because you had to master the timing.

That title would go to none other than me.
I can't play as you in indoor maps. Even Billy is more bearable than you on Lery's!

God I wish it was today
But no, it's always been the 7th at least in my time zone. Seems like roadmaps have different dates for different regions for time zones.

@OrangeBear said:
Dredge is really bad on skull merchant camp.
Also pretty bad on Swamp due to the locker spreads being extremely inconsistent with the many dead zones not containing any lockers. I can see why people say he's the most map-reliant killer in the game.
-
Probably not intended due to what the perk description states but it sounds funny as hell, actually comedy gold. Genuinely keep that in the game because of how funny it sounds. If I were that Ace I would break my PC straight up
-
I agree, making charms universal would allow for far more charm combination potential. I think perk charms should be universal as well because it would be nice to express my favorite survivor perks or killer perks on one of the sides.
-
Looping is fun for both sides, I'd rather be looped than have a survivor hold W against me leaving me helpless.
-
If I'm correct it's basically just half of Low Amp Filament baseline for Sports Flashlight, meaning you can stack it with battery add-ons in order for it to last as long as possible. So it technically does last longer than 8 seconds I'm pretty sure, though they're more like 8 charges rather than seconds.
