Pretty fun for killers that can hit through walls or hit multiple survivors at once, especially in stealth. Pyramid Head is my favorite user of it, especially with range add-ons. Bubba might also be pretty good with it.
-
Singularity has by far the highest skill floor of any killer in the game, so I'd definitely rate him Very Hard. BHVR rates the killers by their skill floors in terms of understanding the power and learning how to get the job done with the killer, but learning the basics of Singularity is not easy at all.
That said while the difficulty ratings are better than they were before, some of them should be revisited. Unknown is Hard in my opinion rather than Moderate because you need an understanding of how to break line of sight to prevent survivors from seeing you, and understanding the basics of bounce logic is not easy. Trickster should be reverted to Easy because of how straightforward his power is (albeit his high skill ceiling) and recoil being removed makes him less stressful to play as.
Anyways, how the hell is Skull Merchant Hard?
-
Wraiths that actually try to play a chase-oriented playstyle are pretty rare for me. They're really fun to go against, but most Wraiths just play hit & run.

I think they should just make them all available, and let us choose the one we want.
Yeah fair enough, the licensed ones may have to be locked behind paywalls though. I want to see the Silent Hill background come back, it was by far my favorite themed lobby. The neon aesthetic of the All-Kill background is also one I dig. The OG Winter Solstice background is an absolute masterpiece and I want it to come back as well since it was the first DBD event I partook in.
-
It's insane that they throw out all the effort they made for the different themed lobbies. At least make lobby backgrounds unlockable through buying their respective DLCs, cosmetics, or partaking in the event of the lobby background (for instance, owning a blighted cosmetic would unlock all Halloween lobby backgrounds, or owning at least one Iron Maiden collection cosmetic such as the shirts or legendary skins to unlock the Iron Maiden background).
-
DirectX 12 is an absolute blessing and should be immediately popped into the launch options if your GPU supports it. Probably the setting I recommend the most.
It's a shame that BHVR patched out the ability (whether intentionally or not) to upscale your resolution in the settings.ini file, FSR is a nice alternative to that but native upscaling still looked a lot better. It costed a ton of performance, but it looked damn incredible.

solo has always been bad it always will be bad but it has a certain charm to it tbh just observing the creatures you run into is pretty fun
Underrated comment lmao but I 100% agree with this, the joy of solo queue survivor and the only reason I play it more than SWF is because of the hilarious variations of the teammates I get.
Because there is no voice chat, you just get the fascination of what your teammate is thinking to themselves while itemless self-caring in the corner of the map with Sloppy Butcher inflicted on them as you watch their aura in the same position as ever with Bond for the next 30-60 seconds, and to top it off, all of that happening while you're repairing a generator right next to them. Or the Background Player gamer that desperately tries to flashlight save on every single pickup but fails miserably when they could be holding M1, you just gotta think to yourself: Is this Meg a real human being? Truly an experience.
-
So sort of like the shared Chainsaw's old Carburetor Tuning Guide for Demo, but with an activation requirement... I like it. Might be a bit too overtuned though. However instead of the hitbox being made larger, make the attack window longer so that you can still get hits during the shred cooldown kinda like the end of Bubba's chainsaw sweep. Would be a blessing for the flying Demos out there.
What if Executioner had an add-on that literally changed his power entirely?
Obsidian Goblet
An ancient looking goblet carved from pure obsidian.
- The range of Punishment of the Damned attacks are map-wide.
- Punishment of the Damned attacks Hinder them by 15% for 3 seconds and inflict Torment on them.
- Punishment of the Damned attacks create Torment Trails.
- Survivors hit by Punishment of the Damned attacks do not lose health states.
It turns him into a worse Artist, but at least it might be fun.
-
I really miss them, but people move on/take breaks due to burnout, mental health, and just how life is. Nowadays modern DBD YouTube is just contentslop with the game being treated more as competitive to them rather than how No0b3 and Monto played for fun and goofs and overall were quite charming. They were, simply put, just being themselves, and that's what made them and their content so loveable.

Priority (Tweaks):
- Nemesis (Base-kit buffs + full add-on pass)
- Executioner (Minor base-kit buffs + full add-on pass)
- Bubba and Knight (Base-kit buffs + some add-on buffs/reworks)
- Singularity (Minor base-kit buffs mostly QoL + add-on buffs/reworks)
- Dredge (Map-wide locker placement adjustments + base-kit buffs)
- Deathslinger (Minor base-kit buffs mostly QoL + add-on buffs)
- Skull Merchant (Base-kit adjustments such as hacking being more useful, maybe add-on buffs?)
These are my top 8 killers that are desperate in need for killer tweaks. Singularity needs to be less map reliant IMO, and the solution for that is to probably make slipstreaming more consistent (I'm like 95% sure it uses the same code as GF's reveal mechanic). I really hope to see more killer tweaks eventually.
Priority (Rework):
- Freddy (Ground-up)
Twins (Bubba esque)Already planned, wish them luck!- Myers (Clown/Billy/Legion esque)

I wish his chain bound was more rewarding, especially long-range hits. It would make him more engaging to face if Cenos went for more attempts to try and chain bound because it's actually quite fun to outplay. It's really annoying when you do a sick 360 chain bound and then it breaks immediately because the survivor happened to have a bunch of objects surrounding them or happens to be in a corridor.
It does feel really good and rewarding to find the box, though. Figuring out where the box could be by judging all of the survivors' locations is pretty tough, so it feels damn good to solve it and manually initiate the chain hunt. You can really pull the strings with the chain hunt.
Overall, it takes too much brainpower for me to play Pinhead, and he might actually be the most stressful killer in the game for me due to how difficult it is to land the chain bound at certain tiles and having to worry about the box and generators being done at the same time. There's too much multitasking and fast decision-making to be done. I actually used to main him for half a year when he first came out because of how fun it was to use his chain bound, but once I realized you have to physically play around the box instead of using it as passive slowdown, I figured I might as well play Doc instead for more consistent slowdown while having a less stressful chase power at the same time.

I honestly like what you've got going here. Range add-ons need a buff IMO, I'd argue that Black Strap should also be base-kit. A bit of extra range would be nice.
Obsidian Goblet technically already exists in the form of Valtiel Sect Photograph. Since it takes 20 seconds to recover, it would only take 2 seconds off of the recovery, so it would be worse than the current recovery add-ons. I use my M2 a lot so the recharge add-ons are pretty nice to use. I'd probably buff Valtiel Sect Photograph to reduce the recovery time by 7 seconds and get rid of the other recharge-based add-ons, or maybe merging the recharge add-ons with the duration add-ons.
Mannequin Foot definitely needs a buff. IMO I feel like it should have another effect (along with the other trail duration add-ons) where you can see the auras of torment trails from longer aura ranges.
I feel like Spearhead might be a bit too powerful since it would make Executioner a little too powerful in the zoning category, and if I'm correct the 10% haste would make him move at 120% while charging up his PotD (which is a tad too much IMO). The haste being reduced to 2.5% should be fine though. Another possible idea for Spearhead is to make it so that walking on your own trails (similar to iri obsidian goblet) gives you a 5% haste effect with a 3 second linger.
I'm looking forward to more potential ideas that you might have, thanks for sharing!

One thought I had was based on the failed plan to have Punishment of the Damned inflict Torment: Add-ons that allow Punishment to inflict Torment if the Survivor is afflicted with something else first. Ex: Punishment hits on Survivors afflicted with Oblivious inflict Torment as well. Or Blindness, or whatever. If that's still too strong, can have it be "indict Torment on Survivors hit with Punishment X seconds of being inflicted with a status effect"
Alternatively, add-ons that inflict statuses with Punishment hits rather than while affected by Torment.
One idea you could borrow from Artist's Oil Painted: Gain Killer Instinct detection on any Survivors within X feet of any Trails in the environment even if they are not standing on them directly.
I think that'd be a good way to balance out Torment inflicting through PotD. Another idea is to make it so that if it hits from the last 8-10 metres of the ranged attack, Torment gets inflicted onto the survivor, rewarding long-range hits similarly to Slinger's Iridescent Coin.

Delaying the appearance for his M2 would be strong as addon. It would make dodging it really difficult.
This one would be really interesting and fun to use, might be very similar to Nemesis's linger tech.

And this is another form of design
I actually finished those addon concepts but I’ll never show the descriptions publicly mostly cause they just look embarrassing to read
oh and some of them were inspired by certain broken addons from certain killers (alch ring, reworked iri tag, and drivers license)
Honestly I like the ideas you've got going here, Pyramid Head's PotD attack breaking pallets would be really fun. I'm also glad that Crimson Book got revisited to now include Mangled. Tbh Videotape should be iridescent or purple because of how notable and important it is in Silent Hill 2.
I'd love to see more of your add-on ideas, they've gotten more experimental with add-ons such as Legion's BFFs having a token-based system, and Ghostface having a gen regression add-on. I might actually try and make an Executioner add-on pass concept as well.
-
I think the reason why it looks so similar to Dwight is because as DBD players, we merely perceive it to be something default that represents DBD, and such default thing is the poster survivor boy of the fog. After all, The Unknown is anything its victims percieve it to be, is it not?
I hope to see a mangled Trapper skinsuit for Unknown, it would look sick.
-
No way, new Pyramid Head add-on... we are so back.

Dredge hands down is the best for me when it comes to horror-theme. He is your nightmare in closet that hunts you. Abomination of dark thoughts of people that will come to eat you. Also great lore. Nightfall is just cake on top that fits well and makes him feel like a real monster from darkness.
Husk is not scary to me, but he is still cool. He is your typical "AI go crazy" but with a small twist of organic things rather than more machinery.
Unknown looks scary but his gameplay is not at all.
Compared to the rest, Singularity moreso fits the Evil is Cool type trope rather than focusing on the horror of evil. Still pretty terrifying but he's pretty badass with his modified body of perfection, the way he taunts his victims, and even Gabriel Soma comparing him to an ancient God. What makes him the unique of the three is that he's the only one to be fully sapient, being a bloodthirsty AI that enjoys and knows what he does, best shown with his voice lines.
Dredge is simply made of evil without any personal intentions, and Unknown, well, to be honest, is so much of a mystery that I can't be sure about that thing, but it's clearly trying to taunt its prey.

The fan service is working on me. Help
At least this time she doesn't have Mikaela's stupid boons, that alone made me despise Mikaela. Her perks are solely meme perks and for that I already love her.
-
Pinky Finger is really dated and needs a rework, and I personally like your idea for it because Clown needs stealth add-ons. An iridescent that makes it so that antidotes instantly activate but your bottle count is capped to 3 bottles would also be sick. It would also be nice to see the old version of Garish Makeup Kit in the form of another purple add-on, it was one of my favorite Clown add-ons that didn't make the cut in his 4.5.0 rework.
I think the current reload speed is fine, it's just his reload movement speed that needs to be tuned up. It's wayyyy too slow. A little bit of Inner Soles base-kit would be nice, as you suggested.

They should stay, but with a couple of changes:
1. Make map offerings increase the likelihood, but not guarantee the outcome. So for every 5 Offering of Gideon Meat Plant, maybe 1-2 times the Offering won't work.
2. Make Sacrificial Ward actually meaningful and have to so it cancels out 100% any chance of a map offering from working. It's practically useless as it is, as if I've had it on my randomizer and it's gone against a map offering, most often the map offering works anyway.
Another idea is to lower the rarity of the Sacrificial Ward to brown or yellow, that way it's not as painful to have it wasted.

I'm glad they just did that instead of gutting the killer. BHVR's balance choices are a complete diceroll so my heart jumped when I heard about Clown changes. And they buffed the yellow bottle which is something I've personally been wishing for for a long time.
I'm really looking forward to Clown's changes. The only add-on I ever use for him is his yellow Sticky Soda Bottle because his base bottle count is awful and the extra bottle is nice, so I'm looking forward to having more add-on freedom. They made Cheap Gin Bottle base-kit instead, which is interesting. The lower activation time will also be good because of the inconsistency of getting that antidote activated in enough time.

Being able to beam off her traps was a good counter to basement Hag. I don't understand the removal of item-based interactions, especially considering Nemesis's zombies can still be blinded. Keep the ability to flashlight her traps, but keep the survivor nerf for wiping her traps.

I think it's great that PH gets better accessories, like Ghostface who also has very few useful accessories. Iridescents definitely need a change as they give very little advantage, some options would be: knocking down someone with Torment causes the most advanced spawner to lose 10% progress (or something like that); Another could be that damaging someone who has Torment with M2 puts them on the ground. Other accessories could be mini versions of their base abilities, like kicking a generator will give you Undetectable for a while (not until the generator is repaired, like Path of Torment works).
There could be an add-on where hitting a tormented survivor with Punishment of the Damned explodes the most progressed generator in the trial, would be pretty cool.
Add-ons of mini versions of their abilities has been done for Overheat Billy and Blight, and I personally like those concepts. Ghostface also has a mini I'm All Ears in the Address Book add-on. For mini Trail of Torment, after caging a survivor, the next generator you kick will make you go undetectable for 30 seconds. For a mini Deathbound, when a tormented survivor heals another survivor for 1 health state, they scream. For a mini Forced Penance, maybe make it so that both survivors striked in the same Punishment of the Damned are given the Broken status effect for 60 seconds.
-
Make it so that a minimum of 8 charges must be completed upon the healing action of the downed survivor so that it'll work similarly to Second Wind. Obviously have it deplete if you let go of the downed survivor, or else it'll still be abusable. Buff the Endurance to 12 seconds (+2 seconds) to compensate because it won't activate if the downed survivor is 99'd. I have no idea how to nerf the combo without limiting Buckle Up's activation, so unfortunately that's really the best I could think of.
The thing with Buckle Up is that it's technically fine on its own, it's just the combination of it with FTP that makes it ridiculous. It's hard to really nerf this combo without nerfing one of them, but FTP in particular should not be touched at all.
-
Played some rounds with my friend today and we went against a Tunnel Merchant. Very fun experience, very fun indeed!
-
Why not both? I think legendary killer skins should have unique chase music. I'm surprised Naughty Bear didn't get one, actually.
-
It's gathering up more corpses for its skinsuit. It's looking forward to becoming more... complete. The next time we see it, God help us all if we hear familiar voices.
-
The Slinger gun looks sick, just might have to cop the Slinger skin.
-
Grats on P100 Merchant. I hope to achieve this with Pyramid Head soon enough.
If only his add-ons weren't so dogwater aside from range and duration. -
I disagree, we need more anti-loop killers, especially ones that can guarantee hits through windows and pallets and forcefully zoning the survivors, surely that'll be interactive for both sides!

Because it's proximity chat, which is a fun novelty. Discord doesn't give you the fade-out of leaving range, or the tension of calling out to see if someone's even in range to hear, etcetera.
It'd be minor, but there'd be some use for it where there wouldn't be in regular games.
Proxy chat would be damn fun in custom games. Unfortunately, as much as I wish for it to happen, I doubt BHVR would be willing to dedicate resources on something only playable in custom matches.
-
GE is great on its own, it's my new favorite slowdown perk alongside Gift of Pain. The only issue is its synergy with DMS.
-
I actually like going against Legion. They encourage you to split up more, they're everywhere on the map, and you're actually able to loop them like a normal M1 killer. They're a killer that encourages survivors to play differently until the real chase begins. Mending simulator is definitely boring I agree, but the strategy of not mending until you know Frenzy is over is pretty fun to pull off.
-
Mangled is annoying to go against, but it's not something I consider to be problematic. However, I wouldn't mind if they make it timer-based as long as my precious Gift of Pain doesn't get too nerfed. If Sloppy Butcher does indeed get butchered from the upcoming Mangled rework, then I want them to make the game more accessible for newer players by buffing the current general perks or introducing new general perks. Sloppy Butcher is currently one of the only good general killer perks in the game, so I am hoping for more general perks to be viable.
As for STBFL all it really needed was the 4% nerf and for it to not activate within 16m of a hooked survivor (with a 7 second linger in that radius after a survivor gets unhooked). It was a saving grace for lower tier killers, especially Pig.
-
What Billy needs is an add-on that increases his movement speed during the chainsaw sprint by 5% but removes Overdrive. That way the old feeling of double engravings can be brought back.
That said, I like Overdrive, and I also think the new initial turn rate is an insane buff for old Billy players that will increase his skill ceiling big time. He's definitely easier to play now (skill floor has been raised) because he's less painful to play, but there's a lot more to master in his kit now.
-
Definitely the Pinhead era. The NFTs were hilarious, the FNAF speculation was funny. Oh man, good times.
-
Perk-wise I think he's pretty solid and some of the best ones in the game. Starstruck is great for backpack builds but also quite good standalone for basic attack killers (especially Deathslinger). Crowd Control is a nice little hex perk to run on killers that are vulnerable to windows such as Billy and Bubba. His best perk, No Way Out, is not only fun for endgame builds, but is an excellent slowdown perk that is really, really good on its own.
Power-wise it's totally up to you to decide. He's a lot more powerful and enjoyable to play as than his previous iteration and is far more forgiving without the recoil. Whether you like his trickshot-esque playstyle or not is up for you to decide.

Yeah. most people think SWFS are some tournament gamers who know clock calls and have mastered check spots. But most just don't feel like Solo Q or are just trolling, which is quite enjoyable in my opinion and easier to beat.
3% is still a pretty massive difference tbh because it combines data from both chill, regular SWFs who are just playing DBD to socialize with each other, to these comp sweat squads with hyper knowledge on callouts and where everybody is on the map all at once. But I do agree, SWF has the funny rep of being this big scary evil monster when it's something we've all unknowingly stomped with the same effort as stomping a solo queue team.
-
We need a charm and badge shop at this point. Purchasable with iri shards. Event participants have the advantage of getting the items for free, so having another opportunity to obtain the badges would be nice. Plus, I'm not really liking how all of the badges we've gotten so far (aside from the Chucky one, which I assume is still obtainable) have been limited time opportunities to collect.
-
The issue with Freddy is that his chase power is far too similar to Clown's. If they do rework Freddy I'm sure (and hopeful) that they'll keep his generator teleporting because it's a cool ability, but I'm hoping being able to manually pull survivors into the dream world is added, just like his old variant.

The Cooldown-Nerf is 100% justified. Cooldown and Chargetime were the big issues back then before the initial Nerf (and they would not have needed to change anything more), bringing back the Cooldown was not right.
The cooldown we had prior to 7.5.2 was fine as it was. It was basically the same cooldown movement speed as a single engraving (before that got removed since it was deemed a bug) with backlash from players upon such being removed because it was fine as it was. The overdrive rework essentially added it back to his base-kit, a little tuned down though. Billy needed a more forgiving cooldown in order to encourage using the M2 as much as possible.
I feel like players have mostly gone against Billies with TTM and Greased Throttle and their perspectives on such have shifted towards his base-kit cooldown rather than those two add-ons. The cooldown add-ons were problematic and deserved to be gutted, but his base-kit cooldown was perfectly fine.
Nevertheless I'm happy that they buffed his base-kit to compensate and that they learned from Sadako and Trickster.
-
Aaand another repeat of that unnecessary base-kit Wraith nerf.
At least they buffed him to compensate, will try out his new initial turn rate asap. It might be a bandaid fix to make his initial turn rate more accurate to what it was like with 100% controller sensitivity prior to the new rework.
