Honestly Ruin should have been buffed to 150% instead of being buffed by removing the deactivation on death. Keep the Ruin cleansing on player death, just bring back the higher regression rate.
-
I really like these! Iri videotape with BBQ would go pretty hard. Spearhead is literally Gift of Pain for cages and I love it for that since GoP is my favorite Scourge Hook. I think its duration should be buffed to 60 seconds though since 16 of those seconds would likely be for getting healed.
Lost Memories Book + Scarlet Egg would be a fun combo. Lost Memories Book has a lot of good potential add-on combinations, like Obsidian Goblet for a longer Undetectable, Rust Colored Egg for instantly regaining back the stealth, and Tablet for faster movement speed while Undetectable. I love add-ons that have the potential to compliment each other. Dead Butterfly + Mannequin Foot and the survivors will never know where you are on the map... lots of fun build potential!
-
He's pretty fun, probably one of the more chill killers to play as. I like the setups you can create through patrolling and his overall playstyle if you try to be more experimental with his patrolling, but he's so damn inconsistent and add-on reliant. Not a stressful killer, but Map of the Realm is absolutely required to get decent results with him.
His perks aren't my cup of tea except for maybe Face the Darkness, it's a cool tracking perk on the right killer.

Ik this thread is annoying people with how I constantly spam and showcase my ideas here (so I’m sincerely sorry for that) but I’ve finished an entire addon pass concept and I got an idea for an iri videotape and I think this one might be perfect
and god help if most of these addons end up being into the game cause they feel scary with most of their design but they can synergize with eachother making variety
It's not annoying! It's good to know that you have a lot of ideas for a killer you're faithful for. There's some killers that barely anybody plays and cares about, so knowing that there are mains for a certain killer that want changes for them and is faithful for them really warms my heart. PH deserves better add-ons and BHVR needs to be made aware of that, literally anything is better than what PH has right now. I'm down to see what ideas you've got going for an add-on pass.
-
I don't mind as long as the killer is fun to play as and against and introduces something new to the table. In other words, as long as fans of the series are happy with a new inclusion in DBD then I'm happy.
-
The Pig's roar is a homage to SAW. Plus it sounds silly and I love it for that.
There could be an add-on that silences the roar, preferably as a purple one though.
-
Grats. Needless to say sick Legion fit
-
Xeno is more powerful but Nemesis is more fun for me. Linger tech is really fun and there are certain tiles where you could actually hit through little gaps (such as the gaps under undropped pallets) making him really satisfying to play. There's also more freedom when it comes to getting hits with the tentacle attack and more control with it. Xeno feels like I'm limited to short wall tiles and just getting guaranteed hits at windows and pallets which I don't find satisfying.
-
I made three perks of my own that represent me on another thread about a month ago, I could pull them up here if ya don't mind
It's a Miracle!
Your assistance grants the rest of your team a sense of optimism.
After stunning the killer by any means, your teammates gain a 40%/50%/60% action speed boost for Conspicuous Actions during the killer's stun duration. After the stun duration, the action speed boost lingers for 2 seconds, lowering the boost down to 25% during the linger duration.
Boon: Interloper
Unwelcome intruders will inevitably receive despair.
Press and hold the Active Ability button on a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.
Soft chimes ring out in a radius of 24 metres.
When any player goes in the Boon Totem's radius, gain a Token, up to a maximum of 5 Tokens. When a player leaves the radius of the Boon Totem, lose a token. Once 5 Tokens have been reached, the Token count can no longer go down. Each token grants a unique ability:
1 Token: Gain a 1% Haste Status Effect while running.
2 Tokens: Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by by 9%/12%/15%.
3 Tokens: When not in a chase, the Killer's aura is revealed to you in a 128 metre radius.
4 Tokens: The Killer's Action speed of breaking Breakable Walls, Pallets, and damaging Generators is reduced by 30%. The Boon Totem's aura is revealed to the killer within 32 metres.
5 Tokens: All survivors gain a 50% Haste bonus for the rest of the trial until the Boon Totem is snuffed. The Boon totem's aura is revealed to the Killer within 128 metres.
When the Killer snuffs the Boon Totem by any means, the effects of Boon: Interloper disappear. When the Killer snuffs the Boon Totem while Boon: Interloper has 4-5 Tokens, all survivors are given the Exhausted status for 40 seconds, and the perk is deactivated.
Only one Totem can be blessed by your Boon Perks at a time and all of their effects are active on the same Boon Totem.
Cosmic Eternity
Surviving for what felt like an eternity has granted you such incredible relief, allowing you to use your full mental capacity.
Once the exit gates are powered, your full Aura-reading potential is unlocked, allowing you to see the Auras of Pallets, Windows, Totems, Exit Gate Switches, Hooks, Chests, and the Hatch within 64/96/128 metres.

Doctor with a 40 metres TR? Where do I sign up?
Imagine this with Distressing and Calm addons. That would be terrifying.
It'd be a crazy buff to the classic skill check Doc build. I was sorta questioning whether or not it'd be a buff or a nerf but I think it'd be pretty rad.

Well I first joined this forum because I wanted to how people from other regions think about the perks :/
I would be thankful if you teach me how to improve the format.
I don't see the issue with that, it's fascinating to hear what people think about certain things in the game such as perks, add-ons, and killers. If people don't like these threads then they don't need to click on them, just scroll down and find a new thread.

The Nostromo hook!
Fun fact: It's also unique as it's the only hook that spawns if you play a certain killer (Xenomorph).
This used to be a feature long ago where killers had unique hooks (Wraith had the Autohaven hooks, and Billy had the Coldwind hooks no matter the map) but it was cut because it allowed survivors to find out who the killer is quickly. If you can customize your hooks with charms, why not have the ability to customize your hook's theme? Even keep the option to have hooks themed after their maps if you so wish!

The worst thing about this is the poor excuse BHVR made when they reworked him, they said that the old Freddy were unintuitive or very opressive against newbie survivors, like he were the only noob stomper killer in the game before being reworked, there are more noob stomper killers aside the old Freddy and new ones released after that. They removed his uniqueness, I stopped played him after the rework and before it he was in my top 3 most played killers. Also, i've heard that the main responsible of his rework no longer works in BHVR and he recogniced that the rework was bad.
And we've got a new noob stomper dropping in a little more than a week from now! Oh, the irony.

I finally got an idea to what the iri forgotten videotape addon would be…. Thoughts?
and yes I’ve been playing other killers recently
and this addon might feel worthless after thinking of it
I think the issue with your idea is that it might not be as good for an iridescent. Once you hit a survivor with PotD the survivor will gain a huge amount of distance and you won't be able to hit them immediately after even if your power is fully recharged (unless they really screw up and don't make distance). It could probably work as a purple or green add-on just without the downside of it punishing missed attacks, it could combo well with Infectious Fright.

Ok so I decided to redo my addon pass concept cause there were some addons that were too op and some were pretty much useless so here’s what I’ve created so far (iris are gonna be the same btw)
I think instead of making the survivor Oblivious it should make you Undetectable for 20-30 seconds since Oblivious doesn't hide the red stain. PH could use some more stealth add-ons!
Speaking of another Oblivious add-on, I think the Lost Memories Book should have its Oblivious increased to 60-90 seconds and have it activate whenever a survivor steps on a torment trail (assuming that it only gives them Oblivious when they get Tormented for the first time). It has the potential to be a good add-on because of the killer instinct that shows when a survivor steps on a trail.

Iridescent Forgotten Video Tape: this tape oozes a disturbing aura and the air in the same room with it feels thick and cloing, like a wet blanket trying to suffocate a would-be-viewer. It shows footage of an Executioner of another time, a true master swordsman who could swing the giant cleaver effortlessly through the air and even ground.
Effect: for 60s total The Executioner can use his punishment of the damned smooth and swift, like his predecessor from a place called PTB. Once the time is up, this add-on deactivates for the rest of the trial.
Honestly bringing back launch PH as an iridescent add-on would be sick and having it limited at the same time as compensation is nice.

Were you cursed by a Hex and did you run the perk Soul Guard?

I liked the old version better for flashlights because it could be used mid chase
I miss the old version of it in general. It felt unique because it actually felt like an extra add-on for your item that increased the charges for it.

Playing against Xeno sucks from my experience because I can't rely on solo queue teammates to help out with turrets and placing them in tiles with pallets and windows rather than right next to control stations. I like placing turrets but it takes forever to set them up and my solo queue teammates would rather follow the Xenomorph for a lovely Background Player play rather than setting up turrets or doing generators.
It doesn't help that Xeno literally has an uncounterable chase power other than holding W or having good turret spots, just hope that she misses and that your solo queue teammates are competent!
-
Just a month or two from now and you won't be noticing a difference with Billy.
-
Honestly many of the older things in DBD were just funny as hell enough to make me wish they were still in the game. Even when I end up loading into a 3v1 game within like 30 minutes it's just so funny to see only three survivors with an empty space at the far right as I just think to myself "Yeah we're losing this." I remember being the only one to load into a game. The Legion made me do 2 gens so that the hatch would spawn and she let me go. Truly when DBD was at its peak.
I don't speak for everybody though and I understand why people were more annoyed than amused, especially when it happens continuously, but there were so many funny things in old DBD because of its ridiculous jankiness and I miss it for that.
Oh yeah and bunny tech was pretty fire.
-
I got value out of Two Can Play one time but it was only because I was literally throwing the game in desperation of getting value out of it. I tried to get stunned as Hillbilly, they stunned me, they got blinded and literally stood still as I saw their aura with Nemesis and then I chainsawed them. It was hilarious and totally worth it.
It could definitely use a buff though, maybe have it activate 0.5 seconds after stunning/blinding the killer, and buff the blind duration to 2.5 seconds in order to make the perk capable of being viable without Enduring. I will say I do love how it works as a hex (the way it relights another totem when recharged).
-
Pig is a nerf yeah, but how are Clown and Doctor not buffs? They're moreso QoL in the sense that you no longer need to run certain add-ons to enjoy playing as them, but they are still buffs by definition.
-
As a survivor main, I completely agree with your assessment of the Trapper's dominance in Dead by Daylight. His ability to place traps strategically around the map creates a constant sense of danger and makes it difficult for survivors to navigate the environment safely. This can lead to frustrating gameplay experiences, especially for newer players who may not be familiar with how to counter the Trapper's tactics.
I also agree that the Trapper's current power level tips the scales too heavily in favor of the killer, which can discourage experimentation with other killers and limit the game's diversity. Nerfing the Trapper's abilities, such as reducing his trap placement speed or limiting the number of traps he can carry, would help to rebalance the game and create a more equitable playing field for both killers and survivors.
Overall, I believe that nerfing the Trapper would improve the overall gameplay experience and make Dead by Daylight a more enjoyable and dynamic game for all players.
-
I'm glad to hear that another person believes how unnecessary the uncloak speed boost nerf is. Wraith's hyperlunge felt so good at that time and actually increased his skill ceiling when it came to his anti-loop. I can't play Wraith without a swift hunt add-on because of that nerf. I'm sure they can restore it and no one would overreact about Wraith's base-kit being OP again.
On the topic of Billy, his add-ons could use some more work because half of them are pretty useless. Bring back Mother's Helpers.
-
Remove the wake up slowdown, but remove Singularity's built-in Insidious when 8 meters from a hooked survivor.
-
This might be a weird take but I think considering how such strategies are extremely efficient for securing kills, if you camp and tunnel extremely efficiently with Hag and Pyramid Head, you can guarantee 4ks practically every game especially with the right perks. Obviously if you play chill with both they're in the same tier as they are in the list, but the camping potential that both killer have (Hag traps around hook and basement, PH PotD hits both survivors at once on hooks and cages) and PH having the best power for tunneling (Cages removing BT and useful for avoiding DS) could give both of them a unique tier.
-
Oh, the crazy potential that Unbound will have with tier 3 Myers... it's like the secret buff to Myers that BHVR never intended. It might actually be his new best perk once it drops. Oh and it'll be pretty good on Singularity too.
-
God I wish I got that Singularity skin but I wasn't around during that rift. I love them all but the blue Singularity with the frozen cosmetics in combination really takes the cake for me.
But yeah, mix & matching is really fun and allows for creativity. It makes me wish all these license dealers would let us have fun instead of agreeing to make them sets. At least our king Nicolas Cage is kind enough to let us mix & match his incredible choices in attire.
-
Singularity is both horrifying and cool as hell. He's one of the more non human killers that manages to be so human-like in speech and intellect. His design is cool as hell and he's genuinely terrifying and threatening to get chased by due to his appearance.
It's stated that his perfect, God-like body we see in the fog is actually a mangled version of it with some parts of him burnt or broken. It would be pretty sick to see a version of him as Hux intended his body of perfection to look like. Hopefully we see that cosmetic soon enough.
-
Realm Beyond ruined my precious Chapel. It used to be the most balanced map in the game, but now you have these god windows in the main building.
Midwich and Temple of Purgation are probably my favorite maps, aesthetic and gameplay-wise.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
I know so many people who disagree, it did need a change it's been abused on killers who can use their power to curb the downside. It's a common tunneler perk atm, You all will be complaining when Decisive comes back because that's the main perk which countered it in the first place.
it's still useful, it's still strong. Just adapt and stop wanting to cheese the perk.
People who tunnel are going to tunnel nonetheless. Most killers didn't even need STBFL, anyone who used it on a non M1 oriented killer was borderline wasting a perk slot. STBFL is still the same for killers like Trapper, Wraith, and Hag so it doesn't stop them from utilizing its camping and tunneling potential.
The best and most optimal user of STBFL prior to its nerf was Pig and she was still one of the weakest killers in the game, seems like she needed another nerf after all. Demogorgon was also good with it, but then again most good Demogorgons play M2 mostly so Demo doesn't really need STBFL especially with the existence of Black Heart.
-
Gyro controls on console would be pretty cool and fun. Would allow for more freedom with aiming as well.
-
I feel like there were far less complaints about solo queue during the old ranking system era, so I guess that era was the best for solo queue at least from my experience as well other than the occasional 3 man games which were ridiculous (glad they removed those).
I will say that the main strength of SWF lies upon being able to pick your teammates, in solo queue it depends on luck with the MMR system, so I believe the issue is MMR.
-
Distortion did kind of annoy me at first but it's definitely not overpowered. It's a strong perk but not OP, you're effectively using up a perk slot to hide your aura when the killer can still very much find you without aura reading.
What I can say is that it sure as hell encouraged me to switcheroo the wall hax I usually got comfortable with before Distortion entered the meta. I'll still run BBQ, but Whispers and Spies from the Shadows are really solid and underrated perks that don't get trumped by Distortion while also enhancing your ability to look for survivors without aura reading. Deathbound is also cool, it may be on the weaker end but it's pretty fun to middle finger Oblivious survivors that just finished healing.
-
Zanshin Tactics.
No, I'm not kidding. I genuinely believe it's an excellent guidance perk for both newer and experienced players allowing you to know which pallets and windows have spawned or which pallets have been broken. I love running it on Pyramid Head because it helps me get the exact location of the pallet or window in order to get the perfect shot. It's also good for pathing as Knight, and for setup killers such as Trapper and Hag in order to quickly setup traps.
-
Was hoping to get some add-on buffs and reworks as well as bringing back the old Ethers, but it's a small killer tweaks patch so I can't expect anything too fancy.
Base-kit changes are incredible, the antidote buff adds for more consistency and the extra haste is a nice bonus. As others have stated, the removal of the intoxication visuals was overdone and simply lazy.
-
Damn I didn't even know Breakout got nerfed, wasn't playing DBD during that patch. I don't think it even needed the nerf to begin with, the 20% to 25% buff was fine on its own. The old version was definitely better though due to its consistency and worrying about getting hit by the killer less.
-
I like the killer's orange glyph where it actually handicaps you until you get 6 hooks, it actually felt like I was playing hard mode and I enjoy a challenge. It makes me wish that there was a No Mither equivalent for killer more explicit than Dying Light.
Hate the white glyphs though
-
I'd say lower end of B tier. He's a bit too add-on reliant in my opinion and some of his add-ons suck. Chili and Engravings should be base-kit for him as you said. That said, he's easily one of my favorite killers to play as and against, chases against him are always fun.
-
GREEN KEY GALORE.
-
One of the most fun iri add-ons in the game. I think having it break the way it currently does is fine, it feels extremely satisfying to shred pallets Nemesis style.
-
@TieBreaker said:
My guess is that it's because it would eliminate some of the creativity for survivors, making gameplay more stale than it already is. Things like the CJ Tech would no longer work and you'd never see a killer accidently vault out a second story window.
CJ Tech is peak, fun and hilarious gameplay for both sides. It's also hilarious to see killers trying to pick me up but then they open a locker instead. Truly what makes DBD genius game design.
I don't want BHVR to patch out fun and goofy gimmicks and I hope they don't, but they might as well since DBD is a competitive esports title to them.

One of my go-to tricks when I was learning Pyramid Head and was still pretty bad with landing shots was comboing Nurse Calling with Monitor&Abuse. This reduced the terror radius to the same as your detection range and messed with survivors threat assessment, thinking that you were much further away and allowed for some beautiful podshots. These days I would probably go full stealth with Trails of Torment or even the new Unkowns genkick perk.
Oh damn, I should probably try that combo out, I could definitely use more practice for my PH shots lmao. Thanks for the idea!
I'm also really excited for Unknown's new stealth perk, it's basically the old Trail of Torment (but stronger!) as a whole new perk.

For me that perk is Spies in the Shadows. It was always a comfort pick for me and these days I equipped it on a lot of my killers.
I never understood the hate or ridicule this perk got. Its like having eyes in the back of my head.
Having a feeling that someone is around, being ready to leave: a Crow goes off behind me to be left. Gotcha!
A survivor plays stealthy af, but no one has room for dumb Calm Spirit. Gotcha!
Moments before I pick someone up a Crow warns me. Gotcha!
Endgame collapse, I leisurely check the gates till a Crow goes off. Gotcha!
This perk is so versatile and I never get no value out of it. Its the essence of a comfort pick for me.
And of course, how could I forget: it doesn't warn survivors by burning through their Distorion or makes then scream like UW. The crows just silently whisper in your ear and no one is any the wiser.... besides you.
I think the reason why Spies from the Shadows gets hate is because it's another tracking perk that doesn't show survivors' auras. Like Whispers, you still have to look for survivors manually because the info isn't handed to you that easily. Back then Whispers always had the upper hand compared to Spies, and now that Whispers left the meta, Spies has sadly been forgotten as well.
What makes both of these perks unique and why I love their design is that they stay activated for the entirety of the trial. Got 2 kills and the other two survivors are hiding in corners? Don't worry, you've got passive tracking!
I do want to try and use Spies from the Shadows more often because it seems fun.
-
Because it's hilarious and peak gameplay.
BHVR seems to get off to the idea of DBD becoming a competitive esports title, so if you're hoping for the 4% and other fun gimmicks to be removed, you're in luck because they want their game to be competitive.
-
A Clown TV show with shifts to a more cartoony art style when his victims are intoxicated (similar to his tome cutscene) would go pretty hard.
-
If they do make Shattered Hope base-kit, then CoH would have to return to its full glory and other boon perks would have to be buffed big time and I do not want to go back to the CoH era even with base-kit boon breaking, that alone was a huge factor that made me take a break from DBD.
That said I think Shattered Hope could use some changes. It could probably be a cool bloodpoint farming perk. Allows you to stomp dull totems and then rekindle them into hex totems, and each time you
rekindlecrush a totem you gain a token that grants +25% more bloodpoints like BBQ's tokens.Stacks with Pentimento too.(Had a brain fart and forgot how Pentimento worked) Too bad BHVR is really shy about adding more grinding methods cause le bloodpoints valuable!!! -
As others have stated, it really depends on the amount of hooks I've gotten. I can get a 0k or a 1k and still feel satisfied for getting 8-9 hooks.
