  • There really does need to be a longer animation when tapping a gen that locks survivors in for like .5 seconds, it's ridiculous that survivors can still tap the gen while looping killers endlessly and the killer can't even punish them for it.

  • At least it'll make that one archives challenge with rancor much easier?

  • I said this in another thread but I feel like it would be more useful if it had a shorter activation time but could be activated more than once a match. Like make it only 10-15 seconds of no blood, but give it a cooldown of like 30-45 seconds.

  • I mean, it's not like they PURPOSEFULLY meant to nerf legion, he just kinda ended up as a casualty of their buff to mending times. Plus, mending was just supposed to be a way to stall the game a little bit, they probably never intended mend times to get out of control as they did. So of course it seemed justified to them, but really it just highlights how bad his power is now.

  • I feel like the no stagger passive is what most people really used BL for and the speed boost is unnecessary since if you're ahead in a chase and you drop off a building, the no stagger effect would be enough to still be able to loop the Killer effectively. Plus it would just make more sense with the park's "lore" (lol) being a balanced landing, hence being able to immediately run without staggering

  • Feels like lucky break should be shorter but be able to activate more than once in a trial to be more useful.

  • Omg the Oni is girthy ๐Ÿ‘€ y'all heard it here first

  • PWYF counts towards ALL aggressive actions, so feral frenzy will still cost stacks there.

  • I want harsher punishments for dcers as well, but i do think it should have a low threshold for frequent dcers that doesn't also punish actual emergency or accidental dcers. Maybe something like 3 or 5 dcs in a hour window and they get a 30 minute to an hour wait.

  • Shirtless Oni skin? I'm down ๐Ÿ‘€ only if he's beefy though, we demand the B E E F

  • Now that I've thought about it, it doesn't seem to be that big of a nerf unless you've been relying on it as a way to abuse infinites like on Haddonfield. Now it's more like Dead Hard, where you have to use it when a killer is on you to make distance to the next loop. If survivors just play more careful they can still make BL work. I think it won't be as bad as everybody is saying once people try it on the ptb.

  • Maybe make it tremendously increase her wind up time as well as trumping all other increase hatchet add ons. Maybe allow wind up add ons.

But I can also see the argument that they should give her the nurse treatment and rework her addons to include different effects like hitting a survivor with a hatchet increases her base movement speed for 60 seconds or something. Might be more fun for Killers that way.

  • Oh this is a hard one.

    • Us (2019) - with Red as the killer, maybe Adelaide as survivor
    • Silent Hill - with Pyramid Head as a killer, maybe no survivor
    • Toss up between Resident Evil with Mr. X as the Killer or Don't Breathe with the Blind Man as the Killer
  • If you're the killer and you're even on the same map as a hooked survivor, you're a camper. If you go after survivors, you're a filthy tunneler.

  • Love the concept! Bendy and the Ink Demon would be a great addition to DBD in my opinion ๐Ÿ˜„

Although, Crooked Wrath seems too similar to Cruel Limits to be implemented. Persistence seems like a weaker Furtive Chase and Memories has potential but seems too strong for the activation cost. Maybe highlight auras of survivors that are within 8 meters of the hooked survivor when 28 meters away? Idk, I'm not scientist...

Creative sounds amazing but it should be after completing a full generator's worth of repairs to prevent genrush abuse. Craftsmanship sounds a little too easy to activate for the cost, but maybe if it gained tokens to stop the gen from pausing progression for every great skillcheck hit? It could be a good anti-ruin perk that way. Also with In Deep, it feels to easy to gain the effect so it should be for every survivor hooked, you gain 2% movement speed increase, so it'd be like Hope but not as strong and more useful in quick rescues!

Overall good ideas and great concept!!

  • I agree that enduring should counter DS but i can also see why they made that change, since it would make the enduring/brutal strength/spirit fury combo op and a MUST-HAVE for all killers, except nurse or spirit that can basically just ignore pallets. Enduring was super popular when DS was first changed to counter it for that exact reason so it makes sense that they wouldn't want to revert the change.

  • Oh I'm paranoid as ######### so I'm on edge almost immediately as soon as the match starts. I don't know how streamers like Puppers and Monto can just start running so confidently when they spawn, I'm always afraid the killer will just automatically know where I am. But i guess that's just because I'm a noob lol

  • Try aiming your camera slightly upwards of what you think is the center of your camera, his reveal is a little wonky and skewed upwards because of the third-person view. Also, make distance if you think he's stalking since he's slower then, unless he's leaning with certain add-ons. If he does get the exposed off while you're just standing there, of course he's gonna down you immediately.

  • I completely missed this! Now I know why everybody says rule set no. 2 should be base! xD It's strange that it's a pink add on when it seems like this should be a common add on

Are people still on this? Literally there are dozens of threads on this already.

They have already made a statement as to why some cosmetics but not others.

As far as Legacy, those players literally put in hundreds of hours for that (event exclusives took maaaybe 20 hours tops) in the game's early stages when nobody knew what its future would hold. They were basically the pioneers and "investors" that made the game what it is, provided early statistics, and helped the devs figure out what direction to take next. Let them have their thing.

Convention cosmetics? Given away for free. It's not the devs' fault that people slapped them on eBay the second they realized how rare they were. The prices have only been going up more and more the past months, and it's outrageous. About a year ago I heard of someone buying Golden Feng for around $250. Then a little later I heard $500. I know No0b3 spent $800 just a few months ago. It's ridiculous and predatory, and the devs are making those codesellers obsolete. No, they won't charge money for them, because the backlash would be insane (because they can't win either way.) It was free in the beginning when they were giving codes out, so they can't, in good conscience, turn around now to shut down the codesellers and then put their own price tag on it. Though I would understand if they did, just saying out loud sounds scummy.

Enjoy the fact that you had exclusive access for this amount of time. And honestly let's be real, are you even wearing those event cosmetics on a regular basis? I doubt it, because I never see anyone wearing them. So what it comes down to is just quietly admiring them in your inventory. And if that's the case, nobody besides you knows you earned them anyway, so what does it matter at that point?

This is honestly the only community I've ever seen that finds something to complain about every step of the way, even when receiving free cosmetics. Holy moly. Y'all need to move on. Get some fresh air. Your life will go on, I promise.

Wow, thank you for expressing so much of what I've been feeling! Some of these threads have been... big OOF

  • I agree, although it might be too subtle of a change for some to really be able to notice or appreciate the change so it may not be feasible for the devs to make such a small change.

  • Doctor and then Pig, since doctor can be really annoying to lower ranks and he's less viable at higher ranks. Pig probably doesn't need a rework, just some buffs to make her traps more viable since she's basically an m1 killer in the egc.

  • I mean... yeah. But that's something the developers decided to do, not something the rest of us that are supposedly unworthy of event exclusive skins could do anything about.

It's not like you guy's are going to consistently wear these items the minute the new line of cosmetics are introduced you will abandon them. I really don't understand why you have to have them now.

Oh, and YOU are? You have all of these cosmetics equipped right now and you never wear anything else? I don't think so.

I'd prefer it to have a stackable buff with a more unique effect.

The hook related auras are already covered by other perks and so is ally tracking in general.

So I suggest it be the opposite:

    * Survivors within 8 meters per token can see your aura

Put that onto the existing effects.

A good effect i thought that's similar to your idea would just be to make it so your aura is visible to other survivors when you're 8 meters or less from the hook, just so other survivors would know you're going for the save!

Or just make it so that only the hooked survivor can see the killer for 4 seconds. Either works.

  • They've literally said in the announcement for the exclusive cosmetics being released that they're not bringing Legacy back, even for those who lost them, since they've said before they wouldn't and they don't want to go back on their word.

  • I honestly wouldn't doubt they're going to give Billy (and Leatherface, for that matter) a power gauge like Spirit or Legion's. I can see the patch notes being like: "We felt that Hillbilly was overperforming in terms of map pressure, since he could reach areas of the map faster than survivors could handle. We've given him a cooldown gauge in order to retain his power, but rein him in a moderate amount to give him some counterplay."

Also, the cooldown gauge has to fully recharge before he can rev his chainsaw again, and they'll make a bunch of new add-ons that have power recovery, speed and some that make him an M1 killer for 60 seconds for no apparent reason.

  • It may not seem fair to the people that "worked hard", and by worked hard I mean played a video game for a few hours, but what about the people that didn't have the time to put in for the events? What about the people who didn't even start playing until after the event?

It might not be a big deal that you couldn't earn these exclusive cosmetics right away if the events ever actually returned, but to be a new player and be told that there are certain cosmetics you can NEVER earn or buy simply because you missed an event or weren't playing back then? Now that doesn't seem fair to me.

  • After this nerf, Prayer Beads (and to a lesser extent, Spirit herself) now gets hard countered by Spine Chill. I'm not entirely sure I'm happy about that, since it's a pretty devastating nerf if one perk can be so powerful against a killer and a certain add-on or build.

  • My time has come. Giant Scissors like Elizabeth Bathory in that movie, Stay Alive.

  • A rework or just a new Yamaoka map would be awesome! Maybe they reworked the map but also changed the look of the map so it's how the estate used to look in the past, to sort of justify the changes to the map? Either way would be cool.

  • THANK YOU. Can't understand the weird hype around Spirit's father as a killer when he was passed over by the entity itself as a potential killer. If it didn't want him then, why would it suddenly have chosen him after he became miserable and guilty for murdering his family?

The new potential samurai killer on the other hand looks and sounds dope as hell.

  • The only things survivors have to do compared to killers is 1) work on gens so just hold m1, 2) hide when terror radius gets near, and 3) run around a rock a few times and maybe throw down a pallet or two. None of which requires any mechanical skill like Billy's chainsaw, nurse blinks or Huntress hatchets.

  • It's not her dad, it's her distant ancestor mentioned in her lore as being the first Yamaoka. That kitana was apparently his and passed down through Rin's family for generations until she shattered it by killing her father. Or spilling his blood, something like that. It's why the teaser says in japanese: "your blood is Yamaoka"

  • I mean I'm sure they'll also either remove prayer beads or make them less effective at the very least, but i have little doubt they'll also just give spirit a flat nerf to her movement speed and/or phase walk ability. Possibly all of the above, based on what happened with Legion.

  • Its always weird to me when i hear the killer's emblem system explained, since it seems more balanced around giving survivors a fair and "fun" game than actually... killing them.

Like I get why, since killers would just camp to secure more sacrifices if they counted more towards devout, but it seems weird that it requires you to basically farm or play less optimally with survivors to get the max # of hooks for each of them, instead of rewarding killers that actually kill survivors quickly and with less gens done.

  • Hell no, he'd be a terrible addition as killer or survivor ๐Ÿ˜ก why is everybody hyping him up so much? He'd be too similar to Spirit lore-wise to make sense as a killer and wouldn't make sense as a survivor since they could've just added him as a survivor when they released Spirit originally instead of Adam, so why would they tease him now?

  • Killers like Pyramid Head and Mr. X would be dope as hell, but I'd rather see what the devs could come up with that's not just a blatant cash-grab using another franchise as bait.

  • Maybe not the same skill checks as on generators, but like snapping out of madness or demogorgan portals skill checks

  • Emotes for being specifically on the hook? No. More emotes than just 'come here' and 'over there'? Yes. I would love to see them implement like a non-voice chat related communication wheel like overwatch with preset lines like "heal me", "come here", or even something like a ping system where you can point to gens or hooks instead of just in a general direction

  • It's a powerful ability, so making it ultra rare would be fitting. Like iri heads or instadown traps, ultra rare add-ons SHOULD be powerful.

  • Protection hits just need a change or a fix, whichever it needs more, since they're so buggy and unreliable. I've taken hits when running behind injured teammates and not had it count towards wglf but getting hit across the map from another survivor does and it's always a "????" from me.

  • I wouldn't say they're the best things 5ever or anything, but they're cute. What's the harm?

  • You can still have fun without letting others ruin your experience. Yeah it sucks when you're downed and hooked again immediately after being farmed, but if you shrug it off and just move onto the next one while staying positive, you'll find you have a lot more fun than people that get tilted and rage at killers in the end-game chat.

  • DCers. I absolutely cannot stand when I'm playing survivor and I see a teammate get downed and immediately DC. Goes double if I saw them teabagging before they went down. Like if you're cocky enough to teabag and then get downed, what did you think was gonna happen? I honestly cannot fathom the mindset of people who childishly ragequit every time they don't get to bully a killer or m1 in peace for 5 minutes straight.

It ruins the experience for everybody, Killer and Survivor, not to mention hamstrings the rest of your team so you're all pretty much guaranteed to die unless the killer takes mercy on you. It's just so frustrating. Killer DCers aren't as bad since you get to move on to the next game, but survivor DCers... ugh. Just grow up and play the damn game. Jesus.

(I'm not talking about people who disconnect bc of emergencies or they had to leave unexpectedly, yall are fine, it's those toxic a**wipes that taunt the killer like they think their hot sh*t and then DC bc "waaah the mean killer hit me and ruined my experience! :[ what about MY fun?!")

  • The teleporting survivors idea sounds super nice too though, wish you could choose multiple options. The turns into a survivor to trick them one sounds dope too.

  • I can kinda see an argument for Spirit to have Wraith's invisible shimmer when phasing, since they both enter the "spirit realm" when phasing/cloaking right? Maybe that would help with a lot of issues players have with her?

  • I prefer to run spine chill in all of my builds, but i wouldn't say it's meta.

  • I think the community as a whole is tired of this mechanic. It's so outdated, they really need to change it to be actually interactive and not just brainless keysmashing. I would honestly kinda love to see something like Doc's snap out of it skill checks, where they're easier to hit but also have a slight risk of missing if you're not paying attention.

  • Makes sense, especially since Claudette and Jake's cosmetics seem to be based on the Alchemist's outfit and the cosmetics themselves are named after Vigo!
