Twins and Freddy stronger than Blight?

    Legion B tier?

The rest is kind of accurate. Sad to see my Oni boi so low but he really sucks against comp teams who will drop every pallet in the map just to never give you a M1.

Twins have more slugging potential than Blight.

Freddy is average in chase, but his map control and slowdown make up for it. He's also just really consistent, non-buggy and has zero map dependency.

Legion is the very bottom of B tier. Borderline C. Their map pressure and tracking ability allow more map control and easier tunneling than other killers. The odds a Legion kills the first Survivor before they hook everyone is actually pretty damn high with the information they can have.

Also, you totally get Oni. His power is basically the Survivor version of Corrupt Intervention if they play mega safe early game.

  • Oni has some really weak maps that make his power hard to use. Plus his power can be super cock blocked super hard by strong Survivors.

If Survivors play super safe and drop pallets early to avoid the first hit for as long as possible, it can be 3+ minutes before the first Blood Fury

  • You gotta play like a dirty ######### to destroy Survivors these days.

Twins, Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Hag and Pyramid Head are probably the strongest picks because none of them do "traditional" looping very much and their powers have low counterplay if the Killer is high skill.

  • Legion and Twins both need to be moved up two tiers each.

Oni needs to be moved to C Tier.

Trickster probably shouldn't be on the tier list, not because he's unreleased but because its insulting to the other Killers.

"It is pretty unlikely most of your chases will be like that unless you play certain killers."

Which is why I consider most killers weak.

The vast majority of the killer roster even when played perfectly can't down fast enough to keep up with survivor objective speed against optimal survivors.

True. Twins, Nurse, Spirit, Blight and Pyramid Head are the only Killers that can consistently down at a speed to match generators when played well against good Survivors without any crazy add-ons.

Everyone else is a little bit weak at high level or pretty add-on reliant to be solid

I don’t know about that. The current rift is for nurse so numbers could be inflated but enduring is very common on killers like Freddy Myers and Ghostface so quite common from my experience

I never see Myers and Ghostface. And I would love to play against a Freddy that actually used chase perks instead of tons of slowdown, but unfortunately its pretty rare

That’s fair but which is more common enduring or nurse?

At Rank 1 (where I play) definitely Nurse

  • @Phasmamain said:

What about when you don’t want to use lithe but have to vault a window? Or if the killer has enduring?

Still not as bad as running Smash Hit against a Nurse

Victor is good at baiting Dead Hard. Doesn't have a red light and has a faster pounce animation than most Killer's swings so he's super hard to react to.

That being said. It is possible to Dead Hard against him on rare occasion

  • I don’t find it overly hard. I think it’s one of the more fun dailies when I get a Survivor that doesn’t have as many perks and have to escape with a wacky build

  • @jester20k said:

Elodie possibly. But that original reference has nothing whatsoever to do with the trickster. It fits even legion way better with mending. No killer actually slashes a femoral artery, and at least half of them use blades.

The word laceration is pretty specific and isn’t used in the description of any other Killer’s power just Trickster.

Also, the description describes the Survivors dying rather quickly or lasting a long time depending. Again Trickster can melt people in his power with Main Event. Or miss a decent amount of shots and take a long time for his down with his Laceration Meter. That seems pretty specific to him. Most Killers instantly deal damage with their hits the only exception is Trickster and maybe Plague.

  • Run Object and drop the shack pallet. The Killer will come running from across the map

  • I feel like your just made Legion more frustrating to play as and against at the same time. Looping at 110 is awful and being hit when you dropped a pallet is also awful

  • Spine Chill is better than Premonition for sure.

Off the Record is pretty meh. Iron Will is better. Other options could be Resilience, Bond or Prove Thyself as they're pretty good all around perks

  • The Twins are actually pretty good and mastering them will get you lots of 4ks.

The Trickster is about as threatening as Billy with Speed Limiter if we're going off the PTB

When they released I was deciding if I should main them (next to deathslinher) but since devs decided to not allow victor to walk on obstacles (stay alive on walls, pallets, etc) I didn't bother as that was the main thing I hoped they'd add to them. It'd be so cool to leap on roofs of building and jumpscare survivors with amazing pounces.

Still, I enjoy to play them from time to time. They can be very strong when one controls victor well.

Victor is really fast (150% so he literally has permanent sprint burst and some add-ons make him even faster). He's mostly a melee character and its usually best to not use him long range. His interactions at windows and pallets can be strange, but his speed makes up for it. Usually you can land hits by correctly predicting when a Survivor will vault and meeting them at the other side, don't try to go through the vault it rarely ends well.

Also, if a Survivor is injured. It's really easy to track them down with Victor because he's super good at following blood trails and baiting out Dead Hard. Downing an injured Survivor with Victor is almost as easy as downing an injured Survivor with Stridor Spirit.

  • @Baby_Victor said:

I’ve been playing them all week, from lvl 18-6, right now. I just wish I had all my perks, I wanna experiment with builds more :/

The Twins really need Ruin/Undying to work because you spend so much time as Victor. He is your main tool to get across the map quickly and spread pressure and he can't kick generators.

    @HealsBadMan said:

I still have to get my Adept for them, I've been dreading to use them after their 100+ bugs and getting destroyed before and during release. I'll try them out though, maybe I'll get lucky. At least I'll derank to hopefully get to a good rank to try on the reset.

He's a quick Twins tip. Ideally, you keep Charlotte in the middle of the map as your home base and to intercept people running away from Victor. Basically, your gameplay should be 60% Victor/40% Charlotte. And your chases should be more like 70% Victor/30% Charlotte. Charlotte is slower and weaker in chase so you should only really be breaking her out when its optimal because she's parked where you want to be or to pick up Victor's slugs. Or when Victor gets kicked/latches onto someone.

Also, a lot of people will tell you not to camp with Twins. But if you get a basement hook or a hook right in between your gens go for it. Leverage any pressure you get. Just play it like Hag where you leave and do other stuff and only come back for the unhook. Walking around near the hook is pointless when you could be pressuring somewhere else.

  • Not sure why Spine Chill is getting hate. It's a good perk but nothing crazy in comparison to the list of meta Survivor perks

  • We have exclusive event cosmetics. A lot of the event skins are exclusive for example last year's year of the rat shirts and the 4th anniversary crowns. Also, I think frosty eyes are exclusive etc.

  • @JesseJH28 said:

I'm sorry, that's just a straight up terrible idea. The whole team could run it and designate one person to stealth the whole game so nobody can be killed...

By that logic, people would already do that to counter slugging the entire team. Just designate one person to stealth and eventually pick everyone back up. But it doesn't happen. It's almost like relying on one teammate to not get chased isn't possible in this game with the variety of Killers and Perks that can help with tracking. Not to mention the massive disadvantage of having teammate that can't do gens or hook saves (because those actions would risk the Killer finding them).

  • @bjorksnas said:

    Healthier design would be

    All For One

You cannot be killed or sacrificed until all Survivors in the trial with this perk have at least one hook state as long as you are saved before the timer runs down

if you are hooked while not all survivors have at least one hook state take a hook state from one of the other survivors with this perk equipped that haven't been hooked yet and repeat stage 2 (can still die if timer runs out)

you can take up to 1/2/3 hook states from teamates

if all survivors have been hooked at least once this perk deactivates

"What do you think you're doing? My friends still need me, and I need them."

no immortality because claudette is hiding in a corn field instead swipe her hook state from her

basically can force 1 survivor to have 5 hook states before dying

That perk idea is really strange because it sounds like the first SWF exclusive perk because it requires other people to run it to be used in the first place. If you brought it in solo queue and no one else had it, it would go to waste.

You shouldn’t be able to lose blood points, especially with how Grundy this game is.

This system also adds the highest scoring bloodpoint events yet at 2000. So if you play to avoid the negative events, farming points should be easier than ever

  • 137/167

And most of them are Survivor adepts with a few Killer specific achievements sprinkled in

  • @MrDardon said:

People like Perks they can use by their own. Leader is a very passive Perk. If I use it, others benefit from it but for myself it's practically useless. That's why no one runs it.

The funny part is that's the opposite of how the perk works. It benefits YOU because other people perform actions for YOU faster.

It's much more "selfish" than perks like Botany, Desperate Measures, We'll Make It and We're Gonna Live Forever. Because all those perks help other people and Leader pretty much just helps yourself.

  • Probably the 23rd is my guess

  • Everyone is playing the new Survivor and doesn't have perks... also the new Killer rarely gets more than 3-4 hooks the entire match so its harder to tunnel since he's so awful in chase

  • Trickster isn't scary he's more unsettling. His chase music, laughs and animations really make it obvious to the Survivors that he's having fun toying with them. He's a psychotic, sadistic, narcissist. Which is threatening in its own way

  • I support this. Ricochet base kit would make him a lot more threatening and give him a unique mechanic to differentiate him from Deathslinger and Huntress

  • @Afius said:

I'm interested to see if I'm going to have to fork over 9000 shards or it'll be something I'll just pass on like the twins.

To be fair. The Twins are pretty strong Killers even if a lot of people dislike their playstyle. There are plenty of Killers that aren't worth as much as they are from a gameplay perspective.

  • Clown is average if a red rank plays him. Otherwise he's subpar because a good understanding of the yellow bottles is the only thing that keeps him out of the dumpster and only the best players even know how to use them effectively

  • Dwight's Killer is Trapper. The Preppy Flatcap cosmetic says: "A beige cap fit for high class golf tournaments and deadly runs around The MacMillan Estate."

My guess is that Dwight lived near the MacMillan Estate and probably heard the stories about what happened there. I doubt they ever met or anything though. Similar relationship to his Killer as Zarina, Felix and Elodie where they knew about their Killer before they came to the Entity's realm, but never actually met them

  • @Terro said:

If the team's goal is to never be 4k'd, it's not really that hard for even a causal 4 man SWF.

We usually get everyone out. Sometimes we mess up a little bit when the Killer starts hardcore camping at the end and angry tho

  • The Survivors that have direct lore connections to their Killer (aka they knew about them before they went to the Entity's realm) are Dwight, Jeff, Felix, Elodie and Zarina.

It was relatively uncommon before 2020 but now I think the Devs have started a trend where they try to connect the Survivors to their Killer to some extent.

  • You have to finish the entire thing. Sometimes med-kits heal you fully and leave a slight amount left

  • It's really Meh-tle of Man

  • No Mither, Lucky Break, Mettle of Man and Self-Care.

If you wanted a legit answer.

  • Use pre-game chat if ur on PC to let the team know what ur doing.

Otherwise SWF to get them to 99 gens

  • It's decent with Pop if you're playing a Killer that isn't great with Surge

  • @DevilSad said:

This is brilliant! Instead of abusing the killer with a penalty, you're enticing them with an incitive. Talk about the carrot not the stick. On top of that, this perk might encourage more risk taking and GENUINELY altruistic behavior from survivors, while also subtly teaching killers a healthier way to play.

You get it. I was also thinking that Survivors that gain the Exposed effect could be highlighted by Killer Instinct for a few seconds just to make it really obvious the perk was in use. It would also be a cool buff to expose perks and killers. Myers especially because it would give a snapshot of all the Survivors when he hits Tier 3

  • No one plays the Twins because they're unfun to play for both sides... but they're decently strong if you hardcore slug and camp and never even make an attempt to play normally. The Twins make Hag look like a Killer that leaves the hook and gives free saves. Elodie is average. Her backstory and cosmetics are honestly more interesting than her perks. Aside from some differences in the reworked maps and a whole lot of bugs. The game is gonna feel pretty similar.

Honestly, the last few patches have been underwhelming at best. Hoping the Devs can turn things around with the next Chapter.

  • @Leachy_Jr

You're one of those people that thinks Dead Hard is supposed to be used to dodge a swing instead of being used for distance at loops aren't you?

  • It changes a lot but Zarina, Steve, Felix, Cheryl and Elodie are the Survivors I play a lot.

Killer is Legion. I play most Killers but Legion is by far my favorite

  • All the Cheryl mains that unlocked her cosmetics basically have Legacy now. So we'll always be able to see who the true mains are from now on

  • Pyramid Head is actually the strongest because there's no sign he's controlled by the Entity. He doesn't have to put Survivors on hooks and can kill them himself.

His lore says he was invited by the Entity. He wasn't taken and his isn't controlled

  • Legion with the buffed mangled add-on, frenzy duration and thanatophobia is so right tho

  • Probably because they just want to leave the matches as soon as possible... which is why queue times are much faster than normal for Survivor. The matches are going quicker and less people want to play

  • Survivors die finishing gens, dead hard instead of dropping pallets and wait until the absolute last second to save teammates.

Killer downs a Survivor and see another target. Why not go for more?

  • @babydonhurtme

Hitboxes are fine on this patch... not joking — Dead By Daylight - Opera 2_15_2021 11_15_10 PM.png

I was definitely in lunge range. When the hit connected, it looked sort of weird though. My guess is that I desynced with the servers when the hit connected but they were using this distance to verify the hit. I bet it looked like I teleported forward on his screen.

This patch does have questionable hits but I'm pretty sure it's a server/hit validation thing and not a hitbox issue. That's the point of this post the hitboxes are the same as ever and people saying the hitboxes are bugged, which isn't true

  • Something needs to happen every game for it to be a core gameplay bug. If it's inconsistent, it's probably a latency/server/validation thing.
