I think you have pretty much no reason to buy it yet? maybe for that tunneling perk, idk.

She can teleport to televisions scattered around the map with no cooldown, aside from a 30 (I think) second cooldown at the start of the match. She also spawns invisible to Survivors, unless they are within 32 Meters of her, in which case she'll pop in and out of existence.
She has inbuilt slowdown that takes around 3 and a half minutes to actually do something and has no chase ability.
She's old Freddy combined with Wraith combined with Pig combined with new Freddy
TV itself has the cooldown of a minute or two, I think that's the cooldown of her power.
-
semi stealth and teleport (to the completely random pre selected locations), has a slowdown capability which could waste up to 20 seconds or something from a survivor if everything goes right, no chase ability.
I think I can just forget about it and pretend this as stretched res removal update.
-
DH is super stupid but will not kill killer's fun, CoH on the other hand, disables one playstyle and can remove fun.

considering how every new killers need a scourge hook, yes.

Then why is nurse the most picked killer in all tourneys assuming she’s not banned?
she’s one of the few killers who can actually deal with good survivors since her power leaves no realistic counterplay assuming the nurse in question is skilled
You can know how to counter nurse and still get destroyed by her. She doesn’t leave any room for counterplay in most situations especially if you aren’t running things like IW or dead hard
Because she is just strong, and strong doesn't mean instawin.
You can know how to counter nurse and still get destroyed by her, or you can know how to counter nurse and chase her for 80 seconds, it's just on your own skill and nurse's own skill, just like every games should be.
in "most situation" there is enough counterplay to deal with her.

She kinda is though. Not unbeatable but by far the best killer no contest. I forgot to mention how strong aura perks like I’m all ears are on her as well since they nullify this weakness
She really isn't, she is more like noobstomper which kills bad survivors within a seconds and actually get dealt by good survivors for eternity unless nurse is super skilled.
Aura perks are definitely strong, but that's same for every other killers.
So no, she definitely isn't, maybe true against people who don't know anything about nurse, but not for someone who actually knows.

It’s kind of subjective but to me anything that helps a killer catch a survivor who tries to loop a tile is anti-loop.
- Doctor blocking the ability to vault or drop a pallet
- Ranged killers that can shoot over pallets and vaults
- Clown and Freddy and Pinhead slowing down survivors at loops
- Blight and Bubba and Victor and to some extent Hillbilly’s hyper speed. Also Pig’s ambush somewhat
- Nurse ignoring obstacles
- Spirit’s speed and invisibility
- Hag or Trapper putting a trap by a vault spot
So most killers have at least some anti-loop capability in varying degrees. Some examples that don’t (mainly stealth killers)
- Ghost Face doesn’t really help stop looping per se, he just ambushes people so they don’t have time to get to a loop in the first place before a hit or down
- Wraith likewise ambushes and gets hits before a loop. The extent of his anti-loop would be maybe blocking off someone using his speed before they can get to a window, etc, but that’s still more just keeping them from reaching a loop before he can attack
- I mentioned Pig above but really her Ambush is kind of meh at anti-looping. Her main strength is really sneaking up and getting a hit before they can get to a loop in the first place and also slowing the game down with her traps.
- Legion has anti-loop against healthy survivors, but basically no anti-loop ability at all against injured ones .
In that case, I think game doesn't work without antiloops, right?

No it isn’t imo because nurse ignores all obstacles that other killers have to deal with to get there. 4.6 killer have to deal with pallets and windows while nurse can just ignore them
But unlike those 4.6 killers nurse have to deal with literally just a wall, having LoS or not just looping around a rock will be much harder for nurse than running straight.
She just have different obstacles on her, it's not like she is OP godmode killer which ignores literally everything.

All games are 3 gen games. If the killer decides to do a 3 gen from the start then you're already fighting a 3 gen from the start. So many times when there are 4 total gens left on the map I hear people say in discord "do this gen first because otherwise the killer has a 3 gen" (while it's obviouse the killer is ignoring the 4th gen on the outside of the map). What do you think you're doing at this moment trying to prevent the 3 gen ??? YOURE ALREADY FIGHTING A 3 GEN. As survivor I feel in a lot cases 3gen is survivor sided. The killer never leaves them making 2\3th of the map a safehaven for healing. Just do the far gen first so you got the whole team on the last gen... Killer can't split into 3-4 parts. Only a few killer powers make it harder
It depends on killers, getting downed and hooked close enough to 3gen gonna be dead end for survivors.

But most the time they are. Nurse also has range add ons to compensate for this (which most nurses run)
And if they are close enough, isn't it fair to get a hit, like 4.6 killers?
range addons are surely strong though, but I'd say she can only be as strong as good survivors with those addons, no addon nurses would have hard time dealing with them due to the fact she is practically as fast as 4.6 at baseline.

To add to this an my post. Would like to mention Clown. His bottles slow you and impair vision but the most important part of his bottles (IMO) is is forces survivors to slow vault allows some crazy hits you should not get. It would honestly be easy to say who don't have some form of anti loop honestly. Some are just so weak at it so not talked about as much.
He can't deal with actual safe palette though, but works good with windows.

Nurse has 2 blinks. Use 1 for general location and the other to course correct for the hit. I’m not saying it’s simple but it isn’t rocket science either
Not to mention certain maps like shelter woods or blood lodge which have little to no LOS blockers
I know how it works, the thing is she technically can't guarantee a hit even with those 2 blinks unless they are close enough.

Blight can go to the other side of the window in a sec. Also he has "techs" (exploits) to help him.
I don't think he can go to the other side of the window in a sec in every situation, survivors can go other windows in that time too.
That sliding tech doesn't work on every tiles neither, there is plenty of maps where he will bump to things while sliding.

Maaaaybe Pinhead if you are really, really good with the chains and have the right add ons. But that's a reach I admit.
Pinhead can't really deal with truly safe palette even if he hits the chain consistently I think.

Antiloop: nurse, blight, maybe spirit.
Nurse is definitely an antiloop, but is blight antiloop when he can't do anything against windows/palettes just like other killers?
I'm not sure about spirit, I think theoretically she is an antiloop as nothing matters against a 10.0 killer.

My point is that nurse has a choke hold on the balance of killers due to how strong she is. I want her nerfed so it’s easier to buff killers as a whole without making her even stronger
I know the counterplay to nurse. Problem is it only works if either the nurse is bad or you have perks/bugs on your side
Eh, nurse can't realistically counter everything you throw at em, blinking is always a guessing game unless they are extremely close and there is no LoS blocker, which is super rare case.

I think they personally just mean nurse doesn't play dbd. She plays her own game where loops and pallets don't exist. Then she is also a balance nightmare for perks because some perks get nerfed or are broken just because of her (Starstruck nurse anyone?) I won't knock on good nurses i give them credit for mastering a difficult killer. But said character doesn't really play dbd and is a balancing nightmare. And for any big balance changes like making maps smaller you run into nurse becoming even stronger. Because shes kinda the queen of mobility even on very big maps. She doesn't even worry about maps like rpd. You want a early game collapse? Against a good nurse running into corrupted gens loses you the game instantly because it stalls your early game progress against her.
I think... if survivors can't even chase for 30 seconds, starstruck or not they are dead.
-
A killer which is stronger than nurse, somehow pass through PTB and breaks game.

every single Survivor I talk to, including 3 different twitch streamers and their discord friends, are ALL 100% ALL, glad the Nurse is gone right now and hope she never comes back
She is a hated killer, and I have said the same thing in many posts. Her design is stupid and should have never gotten past the development stage. A killer who goes through walls is stupid. It breaks one of the core aspects of the game - the CHASE.
The fact is, it doesn't breaks chase at all.
If anything, her chase is much more interactive than any other killers.
-
I mean it's not like you match with god nurse all the time, and playing nurse doesn't equate to instawin game.
Just like SWFing.
-
I hope for Op fest without any nerfs, because those won't be still not as op as baseline dbd...

Someone brought up dead hard as nurse counterplay and while it is it’s not a good one since not everyone runs it
Dead hard is hard counter, soft counter is juking and mindgaming with cuttting LoS.

That’s true. Dead hard needs a nerf ASAP but how is it any different from a 2 or 3 blink nurse on let’s say bloor lodge? Sure you can attempt a juke but any decent nurse will get that hit
I don't get it, is this about dead hard or something else?

I tend to not defend gens or anything but somehow there is a 3gen situation every 3 match or so, this is funny.

Blight is not that scary. When they use some strong builds, yeah they have great pressure. But i love to play against Blight usually, even they use meta killer perks.
Nurse is different case. She is ignoring everything and i don't think she is fine but also i know she is not going anywhere. She will back sadly.
Nurse will just forces survivors to play different game, and I don't think that by itself is bad thing.
And it was a joke of "no good killers infinite que time" thing.

I was just surprised of the amount of noed i encountered.
Probably they are trying to farming pips or something by securing one or two more kills? grade reset is few days ago, right?
Oh or, MMR got reset too and you are matching baby killers (which tend to have NOED as that is strongest generic perk)
-
I don't think nurse players use wasteful perk like NOED, if anything, I don't think nurse players use any other killers at all.

But I don’t use dead hard :(
Either way needed the best survivor perk in the game to have a chance to counter her kinda proves my point
Not really, you still have plenty of things to counter power, but the thing is, dead hard can literally hard-counter nurse and force her to waste more times on you no matter what.

You're correct about the beginning. Sprint Burst delays the beginning of the chase while Dead Hard extends it. Except when you're facing a team of W Key Pre Drop™ players, Sprint Burst is by far the safer option because you can hold W easier. Any anti-loop no mobility killer would literally and immidiately fall out of any realm of viability as you physically cannot ever catch up, and once more nobody wins.
That feels like a problem in game design.

You can ######### the right off with your whataboutism
It's not "whataboutism", it's about survivors (the opponents of the nurse, which is biggest balance factor) can be as good as nurses.
this game is always survivors vs a killer, if survivors can be as strong as greatest killers with same amount of effort, what is the problem we have?

@egg_ said:

I kinda agree and disagree, I think her basekit is fine. What makes her problematic is being able to stack up slowdown perks and strong addons, but that's my same problem with blight and spirit (basically, what I consider "S tier" killers). There's no balance behind that imho, but not only with nurse.
Tbh what makes her extremely boring is her "mains", just like "blight mains" 🛌🛌
But then good sweatest survivors can take nastiest addon and genrush perks, I don't see real problem there.

I genuinely believe if Racoon City Police Station wasn't in the game, Boil Over would've been fine.
There is at least 3 other places where boil over literally breaks game.

I'm opposite, HOPING for OP killer which doesn't get a nerf.

It could be fixed when people understand that playing killer isnt as complicated as people like you make it look like. to be hoonest killer is much more relaxing as casual player than playing as not-4man-swf. those who always talk about how miserable their matches are, are truly not the average of this game. most players i know that play killer at a casual level have no issues with the power balance. sometimes you get players that are better, most of the time theyre just average. and the average in this game is quite bad if you ask me. i am much better at survivor but due to MMR i landed in low-mmr hell. downward spiral due to 90% bad players as mates. no way to get better mmr without sweating my ass of for a whole season i guess. but that skill level is what you get as killer too. most players are just not good.
as killer i still have a decent mmr as trapper main and the survs i get are more competent than my own mates, but i still have an average around 2-3kills. and i dont play sweaty, in case i play overly fair. and this works. its really rare to get teams that are far better than me, and then i dont even cry about matchmaking like most people here on the forums, but instead i try to learn from my mistakes. and i am not entitled to win. neither as killer nor as survivor. thats all it needs to play killer casualy and have a good time.
Actually, it is.
-
I didn't know true strength of her trap till now.
-
I think more like survivors should get something like stamina system, which heals quickly while not sprinting but don't have much, so they has to do more looping instead of shift+w.

What about when survivor queue times are low? These things go in cycles.
When survivor que times are low? I don't know, is it better to be forced to leave, or having a choice?
