it was 32k *3 (with bbq and addons) for 96k, now it's 80k... "improvement" huh
-
Nurse is not that hard to beat, literally everything shows she is not overly oppressive.
-
I think it's fine as long as breaking pallet can force hits in most situation

Except for climbing in a locker.
So, if you have inner strength, you can cleanse a totem, play the game normally, and the next time you get unhooked, escape super easily to some locker and get healed up for free. If you have DS, you're also immune to the killer for the entire duration of this escape.
That's a fun interaction tbh, I definitely will not feel unfairness.
-
There is not much reason to nerf killer perks because stacking killer perks aren't problem, at least in statistically.
Since this game is asymmetrical seeing both as same only makes a problem, like bro why not give killers exhaustion perks that allows them to dash forward if you gonna balance things with same measure? because that'd be too strong.
-
I mean killers doesn't even have accessibility for their ears.

Was there a new update today? Here’s what the last one I saw says
Overcharge
Along with its current effects, Overcharge will cause a kicked generator’s regression speed to grow from 100% to 400% over the course of 30 seconds. Survivors will want to stop this generator from regressing as soon as possible.
Yes, at least I saw it on steam developer update.

The updates are fine for killers, true.
SWF? They will be okey i guess.
Solo? Good luck in pain.
Solo is actually better because you aren't relying as much as pre patch on teammate.

Killer queue will go up to at least 30 minutes, AT LEAST. Lots of SWF will give up soon as well since all fun/balance is going to be taken away, only the hardcore sweaty SWF's will stay (which is around 1% of the survivor population and not 99% like killer mains make it out to be). I hope mainkillers will enjoy their huge queue just to get their 15 minutes of power fetish. Im out.
a BIG THANKS to BHVR for cutting my shackles, i can leave with 200% certainty now knowing that i will have more fun elsewhere!
gl to everyone that stays!
Honestly? If that actually happens I'd be happy because I fundamentally prefer survivor gameplay despite playing killers more, but sadly it won't happen, won't happen.

Yeah, it's the reason why people won't run BT for all the time... oh wait

Because when it comes to nerfing survivor perks, it's 20% reduction. When it comes to nerfing killer perks, it's 100% reduction.
Like, I don't know what more people want when they claim there isn't a bias at play.
Eh 20% medkit efficiency is not small, I'd say it's actually comparable to 100% reduction of regression speed.
-
Why you thought you'd get fix for camping in a patch for the perk changes?
Like it's clear they are more or less trying to fix it, I don't think overreacting for changes to a patch note is the correct way.
-
at least it had to start with 100%, It's almost a joke they decide to NERF you for seriously long time of 12 seconds.

With the new reduction in grind when it comes to gaining new perks, the Bloodpoint economy had to be tweaked with regards to where and when they should be spent. While players now need to spend Bloodpoints to prestige, ultimately the grind is still heavily reduced and results in an overall improvement to the entire system.
So basically "we want to ease the grind but not actually ease the grind" is the entire point of it I guess.
I don't see why it "had to be tweaked" when ENTIRE point of it was literally reducing grind (breaking down economy), because getting more addons/perks realistically doesn't really break anything in this game as elite players are flooding in them as is.

I feel like hooking survivors/hook saves is part of the magic formula that makes dbd work. So much of the interesting gameplay takes place at that moment.
I'm not certain this is a good idea.
I'd just like to see 1 of each survivor's hook states converted into team hook states that can be used by anyone. That way, the fastest kill doesn't necessarily mean exclusively chasing one person. At least not until the 4 team states get used, and camping is also less effective because camping someone out has to go through the 4 team hook states as well as the person's 1 personal hook state.
Inevitably, the game would be a decent bit more survivor sided since the slowest possible kill is still the same but the fastest possible kill is 3 hooks longer. Particularly for the weaker killers that are a lot harder to consistently get short chases with, but rebalancing the killers and maps around that new power level would be leave a healthier game without totally fundamentally changing the mechanics.
I'm mostly sure hooks ARE the fundamental issue of this game, all the frustrating/broken things stem from this thing, I doubt if hook saves/defenses are "interesting gameplay" for most players as that's just camping or abusing certain things.
I've seen that suggestion before, but as you know that'll actually buff tunneling when there is a weak link, you can burn 6 hook worth of state just from a potato survivor.

Uh myer seems better.

I can go Nurse with omegablink range right now with midwhich offering and get a 100% winrate, doesn't mean I will do it
SWF can do exactly what you stated, doesn't mean they will do it.
It's just a potential, nothing else, that % of people doing so are so small that you as a killer will at best face it 1/100 games
Considering how dead hard goes, I'm pretty sure they will do it.

They don't. It doesn't even work in hockey.
I suppose you don't know what "SWF" means, SWF in this game is pretty much same word as pre made or party, which allows people to play with specified person of their choice.
Since it is not based on RNG like solo Q (which is equivalent of random matches btw), all players can reliably reach much higher MMR than they have in Solo Q, so yes they do, you can't deny a fact.
-
Well people with bad internet connections should be punished too, it's no different from gameplay perspective.

@Lyonic said:
I did'nt mention skill so im afraid its not part of the question.
So as an example answer:
"I'm killer main and I feel 90 seconds is fair"
Since there is time it takes to search for survivor, probably something like half of generator times.
45 seconds doesn't seems that bad for either perspective imo.

Players dont get magically better just because they play in a SWF.
Of course they do, there is countless benefit you can get just by playing SWF.
-
I think people will be happy if skill matters.
-
5:5 for both seems good tbh.
-
No? are you sure you don't have it yet?
check it from character information or sheet or something in up-right of main menu, there should be clear indicator for teachables.

It still costs more now because instead of stopping at level 40 to unlock perks you have to grind HUGE Bloodwebs from level 41 - 50 to unlock just a Tier 1 perk. So, 3 total times of having to grind level 41 - 50 Bloodwebs without BBQ or WGLF bonus Bloodpoint modifier. I guess thanks for attempting to help with the grind.
Not to mention you are forced to get all 3 perks even if you want one perk, effectively doubling cost in that case.
-
Well if rubberbanding doesn't exist you'd get disconnected from the game instead, so yeah it might actually be a feature.
-
@StardustSpeedway said:
I always prioritize hooks over kills and I have the most fun this way!
Yeah, that's the best way to play with people who prioritize chests/bones over gen.

No one really asked for billy nerfs anyways and it was definitely not needed for the game, what's your point.

Only the 5 nurse mains of this forum don't want her nerfed tbh, her addons are broken as hell and she's not hard to play that's lies, I can respect a good blight main cause that's actually hard, nurse is easy 4k every game without even trying
Only the 5 survivor mains of this forum want her nerfed tbh, her addons are meh as hell and she's quite difficult to play it's truth.
-
As if there was a time those two were in control.
-
If we stop considering about time it takes to down someone, literal M1 killer with no power would be "no counterplay".
so you mean if survivors can't chase killers for eternity AND escape, it's unhealthy for the game I guess?

@C3Tooth said:
To this day, what bug me alot is:
Killers: complain about SWF broke game balance
Survivors: complain about Solo is unable to play, demands buff Solo
Killers: its because Solo's skill is low, they dont need a buff
Throw me into a SWF and suddenly I become god like that break game balance?
Actually yes, SWFs innately has dozens perk worth of advantage on top of reliable teammates, throw many solo q players there and most will be godlike.
-
Bold of you to assume killers can injure all survivors before 4 gens are done.
-
What's the point of dcing when you gonna die extremely quickly anyway?
-
@lauraa said:
If somebody really does not want to play anymore, they won't. So may as well give them a legitimate way out.
Then why stopping DCing? it's same thing.
-
@Beatricks said:
Because if they took away our ability to go next when the Bubba is facecamping us and all three of our teammates are behind him crouching in a bush, even less of us would feel inclined to play.
But then that's pretty much same as dcing, dcing is against rules but purposefully throwing games aren't? strange, really.
-
It's really strange DCing is punished but suiciding isn't, both is effectively same.

What about Billy on Lery's? His chainsaw is basically unusable on that map due to the large number of vaults, walls and obstacles on the map.
There is plenty of straight road, and his chainsaw shines most in pallets anyway.
-
@Canas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3052740#Comment_3052740
And why should she be able to dominate on all maps? Take the chainsaw killers for instance, they're differently restricted by indoor maps as well. Killers are bound to have maps which they suck or perform well on, what's so bad about that?
Chainsaw killers does good in indoor maps too though, so yes if killers are almost always losing in a map it's bad.
-
If you increase her movement speed to 4.4, it might work.
-
There is a decent chance peoples are holding up for next update drops, also PTB can split up playerbase too.
I doubt survivors are actually dropping from the game as I don't think changes really matters that much for majority of playerbase, even more so when it isn't even dropped yet.

I don't want him gutted. As for why they haven't addressed it? Maybe partly because he's an old licensed character and partly because he has BBQ, which might factor in into sales.
Now, with bp bonus gone from the effects, maybe something will be done. Although, personally I don't really believe they'll do anything in Year 7.
It doesn't really matter if I/we want to gut him or not, I'm stating that it's weird BHVR doesn't gut bubba when they gut other killers for extremely weird reasons.
I doubt being a licensed character or perk strength matters for it, plenty of licensed characters are plain bad and if they have great perk it should be easier to nerf, as sales hit will be smaller.
-
I doubt anyone cares about bloody cosmetics, addons are more important.
-
You know, just remove hooks, let survivors respawn from four random location after 60 seconds.

I don’t bring tool boxes tho. Especially brand new parts as I think those shouldn’t be in the game to begin with. I do play killer but I can only take so much out of that role before I want to stop
I mean if you don't bring best tools to the game then it's more or less expected.
-
It's quite interesting how dev repeatedly said they are acknowledging facecamping as a problem yet haven't done anything to bubba though, like it's not uncommon to gut killers because of absolutely unwarranted reasons, why not nerf/destroy him when there is absolutely valid reasons?
-
Nothing changed, always been.
@rvzrvzrvz said:
People asked a million times for kindred basekit it's not much compared to what killers get next update.
let's be honest good killer mains already stomp most solo Q teams easily, with 90 seconds generators + all these other basekit buffs they're going to win 90% of the time against solos without even trying, how is this fun ?
Suffice to say, but good killer players will not stomp good solo q teams.
only meh one.

Still saying I was wrong is kinda sad. They said faceamping with MS isnt possible. I told why it is still possible. Easy thing. But whatever. Some people just cant excuse their behavior as they just want to be right.
Oh yeah, definitely, we can use MS and do facecamp just to completely waste a perk slot.

I can imagine doing such somehow ends up with hackers flagging everyone else as "AFKer" and banning them.
