I like how you came here just to say "I already switch don't care" to be honest.
What a commitment for something you gonna leave alone.

No different, I got it.

This might be the best time to introduce tools to ######### KILL the killers, like entity's power has been weakened and weakened over time...

yeah it baffles me that they buffed gens but didn’t look into how they buffed slowdowns an the process i had a legion with than, gift of pain , pentimento an dying light when i tell you that game last forever it got to the point i didn’t wanna even do gens anymore
A perk that got meaningfully buffed on those is gift of pain only, and it doesn't work together with thanatophobia anyway.
Slowdown itself hasn't really been buffed, at all.
Also may I ask how he managed to utilize pentimento with no hex perks?

Time to Switch to VHS
It's been... how long since I saw something like this.
I doubt any game can substitute dbd, at all tbh.

I'm solo que and I'm still escaping in like every few matches, what.

nah but THIS ONES different
different by how.

I'm genuinely surprised about the fact dbd survived from instant mori kill tbh.

Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't happen. It has happened with other games and can happen to this game just as easily.
Just because it has happened with other games doesn't mean it will happen though, what's the point.
-
It is needed for both killers and survivors but somehow they don't like adding it.
Though I'd rather make it team based than individual based.

Did that last time
Do it again, again and again until game finally dies.
-
New update = game reborn lol
-
Just run into them and hit it?
Nothing difficult, especially now.
-
Probably in right direction then, many people stated people only play this game because of friends, if that is fun game will survive.
-
What, it already happened.
-
Yeah, it speaks that people mostly only cares about BP.
It became like that right after they killswitched BP bonus.

I seriously stealth doesn't become popular it's the one strategy I just can't stand as killer
at least you have 10 more seconds to find someone, it's great!
-
It's been "fix SWF or fix killers" situation for eternity, seems like they chose latter.
Of course soloq will die, I'm pretty sure it's all expected though.
-
If all survivors SERIOUSLY play stealthily, killers unlikely to win game tbh.
-
Statistically speaking, I doubt those changes increase kill rate THAT Much.
-
But how can my survivor que time triple when survivors quit?

@Lecruidant said:
It hasn't worked in general. Because there's no backbone to the MMR system. You escape a trial? You gain MMR. You lose the trial? Even though you did 3 gens, unhooked 3 people, looped the killer maybe twice? You still LOSE MMR. Same goes for Killer. Could have Iridescent in 2 categories and still "Lose" by people getting out. So you lose MMR. You gain it though if you camp and tunnel people out. So once you hook you can afk in their face and the system counts it as "Skill". This is why MMR isn't "Working". I generally bounce around the maps unhooking, healing, looping, and doing 2-3 gens. I'm being matched with people who have 20 hours. The system is flawed and I want the old system back.
System isn't really a problem though.

@ImmersedNurse Just wanted to comment on what you said above about David being a gay character being treated equally in the lore. (I didn't quote it because you were responding to another forum member and I just wanted to comment on one thing you said in it).
David is the first and only character in DBD who's sexuality has been publicly announced and celebrated by the company who made him. That is not equality. That is giving special attention to a character based solely on the fact that he is now gay. This is counter productive to the idea of normalization and diversity in my opinion.
Yeah... I'm not exactly sure if "hey look, he is now gay, this is great right?" is proper way to have diversity to be honest...
-
I wonder, was there any actual meaningful lore even?
-
Hmmm seems no different from pre update to me.
-
I doubt it, there is plenty ways to hard lock killers from camping but still none implemented.

I guess it's gonna switch up on which side has the longer queue times.
That... only makes que longer and longer though...
-
No worries, in next week survivors gonna utilize the ######### outta all the buffed perks and reduce kill rate to 30%.

It's because me and my friend are actually good and have actually played atleast 100 hours on each killer and that's how we came to the conclusion the game is skill based and most killer players are sweaty and suck and they use their lack of skill to complain.
We do alright even against swf so I don't really see the issue killers have with survivors.
I rarley ever see survivors complain but killers do nothing BUT complain.
"You run the meta so you suck I can run the meta because I'm good and only killers can be good by default with no skill otherwise it's survivor sided"
Killer's are, say it with me, crybabies.
"I rarely ever see survivors complain", this is new to me.
-
@Beatricks said:
It's really not. What's happening now is a lot of decent, but not great players are getting stomped into the ground, making them lose MMR that will eventually lead to the lower ranks and by extensions newer people, having lobbies that overfill with significantly more experienced survivors, so less seasoned Killers are now going to get bullied more. And BHVR has shown time and time again that they have no interest in balancing the game at its core, rather than just applying bandaid solutions that help in some areas and highly damage others.
Uh, what's "balancing the game at its core" when this update brought significant amount of basegame changes.
I didn't know basegame changes are considered band-aid.

I'm pretty sure that's called solo q and obnoxious holding m1 mechanics which get fueled by perks like jolt, thana, pain res or DMS.
Bloodlust is an completely unnecessary mechanic. If you need that than you're doing something wrong. You're not supposed to chase more than 45 seconds and if the survivor is in a good position you leave. That was the killer gameplay before and it was fine because it involved macro management and strategy. Now you can just follow mindlessly because you have so much time.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3073379#Comment_3073379
Yes we are. Maybe play against an actually good Legion and see how good macro strategies destroy every solo team. Most people just give up because holding m1 forever with thana plus 10 sec more gen time, only to let the gen get jolted and then pain res'ed, is very overwhelming. Not saying it's impossible to win but it's the complete opposite of fun to have 20 minutes full of holding m1 without any feeling of progress.
so you use the word "soloq" as "countless amount of seriously incompetent survivors"? then probably, yeah.
If bloodlust is activating, it's not like he is doing wrong, it's maps which is wrong.
There is still fair amount of nigh infinite, they can't fix it so bloodlust will stay.

I wonder how much fun you'll have as Killer when you have to wait like 30 minutes for a lobby because no one wants to play Survivor anymore.
Only if that happens, I think most killer players would love to play survivor games with instant que time.

@solidhex said:

Sry but if killers need 20 minutes games and 2 minutes chases every time to get a 4k then this is not skill. Many killers did fine before. Either give us strong anti camp and tunnel mechanics so the killer is FORCED to go for 12 hooks or revert some of the changes, especially the training wheels like bloodlust or the forever m1 perks
I'm pretty sure with 2 minutes chases and 20 minutes games and survivors still can't finish gen, that's called skill issue.
Bloodlust is nowhere near training wheel, it's meant to fix map issues somehow BHVR can not deal with.
-
She is too clunky to be used without extreme strength she had, I don't think it gonna change that much no matter what.

Imagine if lunge attack was a perk. Remove lunge attack for killers and you’ll see that perhaps they’re not as good as they think
Just use demogorgon then.

easy wins is not the problem it are survivors enjoying the game if the answer is no the game dies cause 80% of players are survivors and if they eave there's going to be no one left
Huh, pretty bold to assume ALL survivors stop having fun because of this change.
If that's the case somehow, how about removing killer role and replace it with bots? this way people can win more and have more fun.

So you're telling me that it's fine that every killer who crossed a certain threshold of skill is now just winning every game? My games as killer were so easy that I stopped after 4 games because I felt bad. They couldn't even do something.
BTW I won most of my matches before the patch when I tryharded. Doesn't matter which killer. Yeah there are strong swfs but those are rare. This patch was for the baby killers who cried on the forums every day. They just needed to nerf Dead Hard and maybe DS and that would be fine. If you can't win then you don't deserve to win, go practice!
"If you can't win then you don't deserve to win"? so you wanna say all survivors complaints are invalid now?
-
@Gorgonia said:
I wonder why killer mains think it's great to have super easy wins...
Let's not talk about SWF... let's talk about solo Q games. You as a killer probably had easy games in the past before because of baby survivors or had to sweat your ass off. And it was fine, as long as some mechanics were not abused.
Me, as a solo Q main surv, had lots of fun playing survivor even if it meant dying... because I had the means to make it harder for the killer to get me or I had the means to help myself survive more.
Many of those resources are gone so now you know the killer sees you = the killer downs you. Yes, you can still have some loops but not as efficiently. And I never ran DH or DS by the way.
There is no such things as "super easy wins", most killers don't have low enough MMR to match with incompetent solo queue players.
There is plenty skillful soloq players and it's not like we can opt out from SWF matches.
@KateMain86 said:
It might be too early to tell but people sure seem to be really divided on these changes. I think killer mains are more likely to keep playing when the game may seem rough for them than survivors are. Survivors are the ones chased, thrown on hooks, mori'd, camped, slugged and tunneled. Killers only have to deal with so much from survivors and can't be eliminated from the match. If survivor mains feel those things are more common now or just happen easier than before then I can see why they'll decide they've had enough. The killer role in my opinion has always seemed easier to just accept a bad match and move on. Speaking from a survivor main perspective however reaching those points of frustration that just make you want to close the game out do happen often.
Honestly, at this ratio reduction of survivor players only helps game health, most "killer main" plays killer just because they can't match as survivors with reasonable time frame.

@Dwight_Fairfield said:
In a world without dead hard suddenly the "bad" killers are winning. Imagine that.
I think it's more about survivors can't bully killers for eternity without doing gen.

And I agree, totally. But now you have the case where good or decent survivors still get killed by awful killers because they changed the mechanics to allow this. For example, I just played a game versus the Huntress. She was axing people and taking them down with the hatchet in less than 10 seconds simply because the cooldown between hits is reduced, the distance a surv gets after a hit is reduced and some maps are awfully designed with dead spaces.
Map issue, also that's been the case against huntress all the time when you get close to her.
-
It's broken.
-
There could be actual extremely weird matchmaking problem, but what's likely is the incentives are bugged.

But if killer queues are short, wouldn't that mean there's an abundance of survivors?
Yes, that's the reason why killer que has always been extremely quick in the past.
-
@Gorgonia said:
It's not okay... making one class rather useless simply because you wanted bad killers to look good is not okay. We have been getting 4kd in solo Q by awful killers.
awful survivors deserves to get 4kd by awful killers, which wasn't the case in past.
-
If endgame camping is a problem, so is hatch escape.

If only other survs would understand this -.-
Yeah, I wish BHVR to make all survivor players better so soloq suffer less.
If that is possible, ofc.
