Had a match with blight at the artist map. Wasn't a bad match for the most part.
Issue I have not just with this match but as a whole as killer is dealing with stacked second chance perks, especially at endgame where killer gets most his downs and kills anyway.
Ash was on hook. Eng game happened. I hit a Meg who rocketed in for the save. I decided to tunnel ash bc he was on death hook and it was end game. I wanted a kill.
Meg had borrowed.
Now ash runs to the 99d exit gate. I swing. Borrowed kicks in. I swing again, he uses deadhard. I swing a third time and down him.
Another survivor opened the gate. Ash crawls.... I pick him up in exit and he d-strikes me for the free win. Lol
Dude had 3 stacked second chance perks. Like okay... how many buffs should a survivor have?
He's basically invincible. There's no counter. Doesn't matter if I wait out borrowed. I lose in the situation.
I'm standing in front of this guy. And can't kill him. Crazy.
This happens quite alot. These stacked perks are a problem at endgame. If a killer gets a down anywhere near exit gates stacked perks always gives survivors free escapes.
They really shouldn't stack like that. A killer should always have some form of counter. A give and take. Otherwise what's the point? How can you call it a competition?
You cant. Think about it.
Take advantage of survivor altruism and trade hooks as much as possible EG. More chances for you to collapse their efforts and less chance of playing into their perks.

Slinger is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be yes he’s not strong and he’s not as good as he was before the nerf but he’s not bottom tier. I know 3 matches doesn’t prove anything but I got very good results
2 Deadhards in 3 matches, and you're saying this sample is a good indicator of Deathslingers overall health?
Yikes, dude.

There's a lot of players on these boards that say Killers get punished by camping by not getting Kills. It seems like a majority believe that camping will net you on average, about 1 kill, while the other 3 survivors escape.
Since I like date, I thought I would test this hypothesis by doing 10 camping-killer games a night and showing the data I got. (There is 1 caveat, if there is a hatch escape without all 5 gens being done I count that as a kill. So far I've only had 1 of these happen).
Here's my data for night 1. I am, of course, playing Leatherface.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/TZ85PMV40IX2/image.png
As you can see, as a camping-killer, I'm getting on average about 3.3 kills a game. I don't really feel like I've been punished at all for camping with kill rate of 82.50%.
(I'll add 10 more games tomorrow night for more accurate stats and will probably get up to about 50 games, depending on if I can handle the boredom).
All games as Bubba? That would skew your results a bit, as not all campers play Bubba, and it's common knowledge that his camping is several orders of magnitude stronger than any other killer. You will have to get your MMR on Bubba very high before you meet the teams that just loop you infinitely and bang out the gens before you get a hook, but if you're as inexperienced with Bubba as you say, and you keep playing him, you -will- meet those teams.
EDIT: That's if MMR is still active, many people on the forums have been sharing their suspicions that it is not.

Sprint Burst doesn't. I'm also a little confused why people seem to overlook that perk in the 'undeserved distance' department. Isn't that way more frustrating to fight than DH?
SB has way more distance, but it is frontloaded. The large majority of the time you can identify a survivor with SB just by their refusal to run, @ them and make them sprint, and immediately go about your business. If you see them again within 60 seconds you know they won't have it and it's a non issue.
If SB could be saved and used whenever a survivor wanted, even if they were already running, then it would be in the same league as DH. In order for that to happen now, a survivor has to be very good at managing their exhaustion, and they're free to reap that payoff if they'd like, as it's considerably more effort than "Oh, I'm injured, I'll just use this whenever it's most convenient."

"Otherwise, you'd understand that DH is a problem. Hence, troll at best, bald-faced liar at worst."- This is exactly the kind of stuff that I'm talking about on here. 🙄

And wonder why people have stopped taking you seriously, maybe it's time to stop saying that 2+2=5.
Also: Still don't believe you play killer, again, not in any real sense that shows you've thought critically, or played above a potato MMR while doing so, because every comment you makes reflects that.

That actually doesn't make me a troll. I do defend survivors a lot, but that's because of all the crazy things killers post here daily, lol. Anyways, I play killer as well. Things definitely need improving on both sides and I've said this a lot.
There is nothing crazy about wanting DH nerfed, I see it in every single game on at least 3, if not all 4 survivors. That is an experience shared by a large portion of the population. BhVR has gone on the record about having a problem with seeing the same perks overused. In this case not only is it too strong, it's also so buggy that it screws over several killers even more than usual.
You don't play killer in any meaningful sense of the notion. Otherwise, you'd understand that DH is a problem. Hence, troll at best, bald-faced liar at worst.

No, it isn't. I wouldn't really say it erases mistakes... People just purposely play a bit riskier when they use the perk. Other perks give distance as well. "Gross survivor/trolling posts"- LOL! This doesn't surprise me... I guess I'm a troll because I don't agree with all the "omg, poor killers! Nerf every survivor perk into the ground because killer is sooo weak!" posts/threads. Killer isn't as bad as you guys say. Sorry, but it's true. I actually do want a balanced game. Let's start with perks that actually need it, though. ;)
You said Dead hard is fine and you're personally tired of seeing gen-regression perks every game. News flash, we would LOVE to use other perks. Nerf Dead hard, give killers more perk options and we'll stop using gen regression so fast your head will spin.
Hell, on this thread alone the comparison to coup de grace was made and it went right past you. Survivors have a stronger, more reliable, more frequent lunge. Killers get 1/4th the perk aggregate and they're less impactful.
-
Save the best for last if you're a good shot. I'm all ears is fantastic if you're good at finegling walls while managing a chained survivor.
Monitor and abuse
Use iri add on on survivors unhooking for consistent expose
Use a cross hair app
Pay attention to survivor patterns, they're pretty brain dead and whatever angle they show you when you shoot at them the first two times is probably what they'll do the rest of the game.
Let Deathslinger sleep, he's tired and the poor guy deserves his rest.

if anything at least adding a vote system as many games have so that happens everyone leaves, many games have the vote leave so, i think its fair, most people who play solo q actually, will appreciate that and aleviate the huge pain that playing solo represents.
The killer came to play, he put in addons. Are those going to be refunded, is he going to be given BP equivalent to what the remaining survivors left on the table by voting out?

You punish survivors for leaving a match that has a campy tunneling killer but do NOTHING to punish the killers who abuse the game. The game is designed to work as a team, so to say "just do gens and leave, that's how you punish killers " is not the answer. You ruined this game by nerfing all the good survivor perks (sprint burst, decisive strike..etc) and you keep nerfing it into the ground.
No wonder you gave this game away for free because your loving the current community and nobody is buying this game. This game use to be fun and so what fair.
I'd say fix this stupid game but everyone knows that's not going to happen. So me and others will watch this game fade into oblivion.

Find friends. Bush already nailed it, potatoes are going to potate, and that is the one variable you have control over when you premake your lobbies. If someone is a potato, you can exclude them from future groups and give someone else a test run.
There are multiple forums in which to find decent groups, and even groups that might be willing to teach you. I think the complaints about SoloQ are really unfounded, because unless you're a really toxic individual, or one of the .5% that have an awful play schedule, you'll be able to find 1-3 other individuals to play with, and even having 1 extra buddy greatly raises your chances of success if they know what they're doing.

Flashlights are weak as hell, just look at a wall. Killers are already adapting to CoH, tunneling and camping every game. The problem with CoH is that it killed any amount of pressure the Killer can gain by injuring multiple Survivors
Just putting this here to confirm that you are right, tunneling has increased as a direct response to COH. Even if you had no game data you could measure it just based on the frequency of these topics on the forum.

Grab a dictionary bud.
I know what the word means. What YOU don't understand is that if you're willing to take the same hit you want for other survivors, that does not make you a hypocrite.
Tru wants those things nerfed, which means it would affect him too. There is nothing hypocritical about that. It's only hypocritical if he doesn't play survivor and you're hellbent on pushing an 'Us vs Them' agenda so you can feel some moral superiority when killers complain about you. That's not what is happening here.

Honestly unbearable to watch.
I complain about Deadhard and boons, and run them too. That doesn't make me a hypocrite, it means I understand the meta and how easily abusable it is.
I still want them to be nerfed, I will gladly take that kick to my survivor games.

Like I've made my point clear, I was responding to the comments made in this thread, and chose the most recent one to quote. I get being pedantic about these things, but there's pedantic and then there's trying to hold everyone to a standard nobody but yourself has, as evidenced by other people in the thead understanding exactly what I mean.
Anyway darling it's been fun but next time you wanna start an argument make sure you actually have a side to defend first

The problem is you are declaring this as "unmitigatable abuse." Its extremely easy to mitigate. Do not chase survivors at that main building. Is it good that the building is that strong? No, of course not. I hate that building. Its for that very reason smart killers literally ignore the generator up top unless they have a vertical movement ability like Hag, Nurse, or Demo. Once that generator is finished (which it was) there is no reason to even enter the building anymore. Now normally people could speed burst after getting hit and get TO the building, but seeing as he was Legion and everyone was always injured, there was no chance of that.
"The unmitigable abuse" applies only to that, where lockers, ridiculously strong loops, the ability to flashlight through the tiniest slit in a wall, invalidates the majority of killer gameplay. I'm quite sure no-one wants to suggest killers carry franklins or lightborn every game. As BHVR has said it before, if something exists in every game, well, that's just not good design.
You don't think that building should be so strong, you don't think that generators should be out of play simply because of their spawn position. I'm assuming you also believe that most buildings shouldn't have such easy fall back safeties (Like lockers with ridonkulously safe flashlight approaches), and you also watched them body block on several occasions, killing his ability to get some of the survivors when they were not at the building.
Honestly, it sounds like you're agreeing with me, just with extra steps. I still believe that the majority of players have to look at this video and see that. He was clearly tilted and it affected his gameplay decisions. That doesn't make how the survivors were able to play healthy, or even appropriate. And with how MMR is that SWF can go against killers with significantly less experience than Tru.
What a great experience.
Sidethought: I also think your last sentence is outright wrong. There are several gens that if you frenzy them and then catch up to them and fatigue, they're still reaching any number of the windows in main building that allow them to pull off the locker play.
-
You can personally attack the streamer all you want, you can harp on his mistakes, you can put on the blinders.
But if you truly cannot see the problem with this kind of playstyle, unmitigable abuse, mechanical exploitation, then it's something beyond whataboutism, your bias is just extreme and you should just admit it.

You know that Survivor Meta perks only exist because they are counters to uncounterable tactics Killers use. Think about that for a sec, the only way to counter certain Killer tactics requires Survivors to equip a perk.
- Facecamping - Borrowed Time
- Tunneling-off-Hook - Decisive Strike
- Slugging - Unbreakable
If the developers actually gave survivors non-perk tools to counter those tactics, then survivors would start using different perks.
You have it backwards, those tactics exist despite the perk counters survivors have at their disposal. This tells you how little killers have in their arsenal. As it's been said to death: By the time 1 survivor is hooked the remaining 3 can complete more than 50% of their objective.
-
The biggest thing that bothers me is the sheer number of completely useless Killer perks and playstyles.
You don't have to be a fricken savant to look at them and realize "This needs to be changed or reworked, because in it's current iteration not only is it unfun, it's not even viable."
You know how many wraith's I've seen since COH? 1.
Twins since COH? 0
DeathSlingers since nerf? 2
Freddys? 1
It leads me to one of two conclusions; Either the Devs simply do not have access to pick and usage rate data, which I would find shocking, OR, they do not have the creativity to even try to tackle these problems.
Either reality is sickening.

Yep. Before it was fine to try during rank reset but now...... MMR
Not even, purposely tanked my MR, but it still matches me with 1000 hour plus survivors who all understand the achievement and most likely take joy in denying it, because if I get to the point where the locker beats me you're still going to die.

How flipping impossible the Myers 4 kill perma within achievement is. It does not matter how good you are, the survivor can DC, or commit to the locker game and deny you everytime.

Its not the time ,i play most of the day ,since i start playing it was the same.
Not sure if you understood @Seth__, Imagine there are 100K players on. Most of them are already in a match, then reduce by your region, then reduce by your MMR, then add lobby dodgers. You can very quickly get to a very small pool of available players, and if you're on either side of the bell curve, those players are going to gravitate to a level of skill different than yours, quite quickly.
This is not League of Legends, where the player pool is in the millions.

Not sure if I'm backed by the math, but Doc with Distressing, BBQ+C, tends to yield me a lot of BP when I'm doing a daily for him.

I tend to punish hubris, even if it comes at the expense of letting other players go.
- Unprovoked click macros
- BT protect hits
- Antagonistic names (Played a guy whos name was "1v1 Me at T+L Wall" and proceeded to make me follow him through 18 windows at a T+T double window tile. Needless to say, I wasn't letting him get off the hook ever again, not as Myers. He was surprisingly indignant afterwards.
- Stopping a gen from regressing mid chase
The kind of play where it's like "Yeah, this would never be cannon in the imagined world of The Fog, but I'm going to abuse the hell out of it anyway." - Those are tickets straight to the entity for me.
I love to give hatch to players who surprise me with unconventional play, but it's rare nowadays.

I would LOVE to see a Naagloshii from Navaho culture. It's shapeshifting ability could be perfect for choosing forms that benefit it based on the map/tileset.

Start with one of the hardest things first, managing your stain (Red light). It's crucial for making survivors move the way you want. Watch reputable streamers to see some of the high-level things you can do with that knowledge.
