A lot of survivor mains are playing killer for BP and being massively hypocritical, and the remaining survivors are being sweaty AF and more than a little toxic.
This. SO this. I check on a lot of toxic killers accounts and they often have more time as survivor. I ... don't get it. Let me treat you exactly how I hate being treated? Alrighty then.
-
I don't know why it made the rounds, but it has been said often in the community that the toxic Freddy mains moved onto Wraith once he got a buff and Freddy got a nerf. Personally, I see mostly Huntresses and Bubbas who appear triggered for some reason by a non-bming survivor.

Sorry, can't add to the love it camp. Visually the most stunning map to date. Playing in the tight corridors especially with zombies roaming about is horrible. Once safe pallets are gone the hallways are suicide against projectile killers. I'd imagine Bubba will have trouble with some of the halls and sharp turns. Even with the lights flickering, gens are in awkward places that you struggle to find. The rooms also make it easy to get accidentally sandbagged as almost all exits are narrow enough for one person at a time. Stealth killers will have a ball, as you can't see the killer until they are right up on you. Hopefully, I rarely get this map.
-
Was spine chill. I still hate being the player GF stalks first or Myers tiers up on but I'm more aware of my surroundings and it rarely happens. Right now, I'm stuck on Iron Will and I don't see that changing as the newer survivors and even the old ones (had their volume cranked up) and are obnoxiously loud.
-
I'm so glad to see I am not the only one. I thought I was going crazy, I played against a Pig the other day with no terror radius on and off. Everytime I ran into her she was standing up and not crouched. I thought she had tinkerer and I was just unlucky to encounter her whenever it was activated. She ended up snatching two people (one being myself) off gens even when I was looking. Of course at the end of the game I was thoroughly confused as to why she had no TR perks.
Edit: OP in 2020. lol Guess it is still happening, or its back. No surprise there as several bugs make the rounds now and again.
-
I'm on both PC and Xbox but I'm more progressed on Xbox because some of my friends are on there. I'm a teamplayer even when mostly soloing but teammates who are allergic to gens is getting out of hand. I'll be grinding during the event if you want to add me. I also don't mind playing without comms or even just comming with someone who doesn't talk very much. I'm rank 5 on xbox (wish I could stay out of red ranks sometimes XD) and I think 14 on PC right now and both accounts are under Feechima.

Dear developers,
I was playing as killer and there was a survivor who brought No Mither, Key, Hatch offering, Soul Guard, Unbreakable. When I knock them down, I cannot hook them, but they can pick themselves up infinitely. The other survivor was lag switching as well, but at first I did not know so that they managed to make sure I cannot hook them and keep me at the state of carrying a survivor so that I could not chase the guy with a key, until they bled out. It took a very long time to finish the game, and it was not fun nor fair at all. I have not mentioned that the guy with a key had an in-game name which involves homophobic words.
I am on console XBOX, and my in-game name and code are Mx Suun #5236. I would be very grateful if you can look into this and prevent people behaving so negatively from contaminating in the community. If there is any evidence required, I can try to upload in-game screenshots and clips.
Thank you.
Hopefully you reported them after game. Unfortunately on Xbox you cannot leave verbal feedback but if they were cheating it likely has occured in more than just your game so every report counts. Unfortunately, Behavior has found it very difficult to stop cheaters as they are constantly thinking up new ways to bypass security systems. It is also extremely easy to make another account if they are banned. Just report anyone you see. It is all you can do for now. They can't bring up your game and find this player just from your gamertag so all reports should happen ASAP after the game ends.

I play on xbox where random fps drops can just stop hits from connecting or turning my camera away from the survivors
Change your settings so only friends can send you messages or just delete them as soon as they come in. I personally delete messages from survivors or just send them a thumbs up because I could care less about some stranger on the internet.
-
Tunneling and camping (prioxying) seems like its on the rise in most of my games. However, so are teammates dropping everything to rush for the unhook and then disappearing the minute your feet touch the ground. Now, thanks to the new struggle mechanic, you can't even die when you want to. Your teammate is sure to save you and then resume their hiding behind a tree or rock.
-
There is a counter to dead hard, its called LAG and killer priority. And survivors have 'second chance' perks because they....uh...die and are removed from the game. Unlike killers that are guaranteed chances until the game ends.
-
I'd say its a toss up between Franklin's and Noed for most survivors.
Personally I despise Hex:Undying and Infectious Fright
-
I'm sure you already know there is also a challenge on the current rift to save within the killer's terror radius with BT twice in one game. This is also encouraging bad plays for those who want to get it done. They'll hook trade just to accomplish it. I'm having trouble getting mine done because I try not to farm the other person.
-
Killers I hate to face Deathslinger and The Twins, the less the better.
-
In my three years playing and watching this game I've seen every player skin except maybe Quentin (who I play) and Jeff (who no one plays) Urban, hide, afk, camp hatch in my games and other streamers. Useless players don't have to be blendettes to be useless. I'm having a rash of bad Nancys and Fengs atm.
-
Interesting. I'm giving this game a break for the complete opposite. My teams get annihilated trying to save me or anyone else on hook because the killer has pitched a tent, at red ranks no less. Or even if they don't come right away the killer is on the hill with binoculars waiting for a mouse to run over. I've run into more killers securing a hook into struggle phase than I can count no matter how many gens were done. I can only put it down to some popular streamer posted some strat on Youtube. Maybe these teammates have run into these killers, and would rather sit on a gen then get downed trying to save. It's unfortunate and frustrating. We've all been there before.
-
"What is a 'free stun". Sounds like a regurgitated killer-main complaint that survivors get info, stuns, escapes for free when really they earned them because you 'failed to kill them.'. Its kind of like saying if the doors spawn too close together during EGC and you're the last one alive the killer gets a free kill. No, you failed to escape.
I can't believe that Head On is being complained about. If you know the survivor went in a locker you have 3 seconds to get them out or...here is a NOVEL idea. Leave. Pretend to leave? Or pretend you are going to open the locker and back up. Most survivors have trouble timing the stun correctly.
It's so odd to me that players act as if they have no choice. That if a survivor may have DS you have to sit there and wait or slug them. Either way, that's pressure, but if you do nothing the pressure is on you instead of the survivors. If a survivor wants to sit in a locker and wait out DS they are not doing gens. I'm going to eat the DS or go find someone who is on a gen. You have OPTIONS.
As for dead head. Well that was already nerfed from being used while standing still, but perhaps the biggest nerf has been dedicated servers. Just know that for every dead hard that was successful, there are three survivors laying on the ground completely exhausted.

I'm not saying that they should be removed. I'm saying that survivors rely way, way, way too much on them, seemingly need to have an indicator of the killer's location that requires no skill or effort put in.
I would be fine if they removed the bloodstains and scratchmarks, because killers wouldn't have to rely on them if survivors couldn't detect them from a mile away.
If they made killers actually intimidating then maybe I would be okay with it. They could probably just put survivors into first person to do it.
There shouldn't be perks to counter entire powers. At all. Period.
I've studied game design and the horror genre for at least five years and counting. The only kind of fear (which there are multiple kinds) this game can illicit is "Horror." Horror is a mixture of shock and possibly disgust. Cheap. Easy. Becomes boring and predictable fast. Think of jumpscares.
The strongest kinds of fear are terror and dread.
Terror is fear about what you don't know. Fear of the thing you heard lurking outside. Think of Alien, or FNAF before everyone knew just about everything about the game.
Dread is fear about what you do know, and is going to happen, but hasn't happened yet. Fear of the thing about to look under the table and gut you alive. Think of A Silent Place, or the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who.
Neither of these are possible if you both know the full capabilities of the monster and have the means to counter them perfectly.
Stealth killers could of been actually scary. Scary in the sense that you know that they're there, but not when they'll get you. Hell, if you removed the Terror Radius and red stain, the game could be almost as good as the trailers. Imagine a game of cat and mouse instead of ring-around-the-rosy.
Think of the Stalkers from Subnautica. You could fight them, unlike most hostile creatures, but they were still scary because you didn't know where they where at any given moment.
Think of the RE2 remake. You always had an idea of where Mr. X was whenever he was a threat, but he was still scary because you couldn't stop him in any way.
Both of these are good horror and good game design. I could easily put terror or dread into a 4v1 game. It's been done before.
But no. If anything, the killer should be stressed to hell because they can't stop the survivors. The survivors should feel little to no connection to the game itself, and should have a quick, easy task and the ability to counter or stop anything the killer. Immersion? What's that?
Spine chill does not counter killer powers. Your power isn't your stealth, its your stalk/exposure. Piggies power is her lunge/dash. Stealth is a tool you have in order to use your power at close distance. You can still use your powers even if survivors know where you are. Spine chill just means those easy gen grabs are not going to be a thing unless the survivor is not paying attention. The only killers with a true counter to their power is Hag and Trapper. Both powers can be disabled. Myers and Ghostface can still get stalks off. GF can 99 a freaking stalk and can stalk in seconds so if you're used to only getting gen stalks, change up your playstyle.
Honestly it just seems like survivors and killers want any perk in the game that forces them to work harder completely removed. No need to compare DBD to other games. It's far from similar to other games in the same genre.
The reason that Spine Chill stands out to you is because you're used to going undetected and fully stalking a 2 man squad on a gen, but when a survivor has sc and you crouch to the gen no ones home. GF range is insane. Find a building or hill to stand on. The deadzones in most maps are huge and prominent. There is no where for survivors to hide from stalk. Even when gf came out they added about a billion trees to every outside map. Adapt. We all have to.
-
That's funny because anytime I use two ultra rares, play a map offering for Hawkins and use NOED for backup I get a 4k. I mean I have to slug when I kill two survivors and two are alive with five gens up because they can't find ruin undying but you wouldn't believe how crazy fast these games go for me. It's like they can't predict where I'm going when I phase and use stridor to find them. Good thing I use headphones and can hear them doing any actions on the map besides standing still or I'd never win this game.
-
Saying you can't sounds like an excuse. You could get rid of the old UI. You can make a new HUD and bring back the original design. I mean what is this one actually offering differently but a headshot of the survivors, which no one asked for or needed. Cross out 'can't' and replace it with 'won't' and there you have it.
-
Stiff, awkward, painfully slow looking. The fact that you stand straight up like a pole is stuck up your bum when you pivot, stop to do a totem, or any other objective is terrible. Running injured makes your survivor look as if they are clearing a line to the toilet. Crouching sounds like you are wearing a diaper, like enough noise isn't already in the game. Whoever came up with these ideas should take an extended vacation and reflect on life.

I mean.. 360s shouldn’t even exist tbh.. Like.. they don’t show how skilled you are, they only show that you’re playing against a baby or a console killer..
So why would it matter if you can do them? You should be able to turn in a complete circle, that's like saying killers shouldn't be able to moonwalk.
-
SC is fine. If anything it prevents gens from being done with how teammates run off as soon as it lights up. SB is more of a counter to stealth killers imo. With SC you still have no idea in which direction the killer is coming from. Myers and Ghostface can still get stalks just not while you're sitting on a gen. The only thing it really counters is getting pulled off a gen. And with this logic should Iron Will be changed because it counters spirits, Calm spirit counters doc, small game counters Trapper, Flashlights counter hag and Wraith. There are just perks, items and powers that counter what the others does and has. Pyramid heads main power nullifies about 5 survivor perks.
-
Deathslinger-I hate the constant looking behind me, spamming ADS from killer, only shooting at the corner of doors/turns in the hallways to assure a hit. His range is stupid far, he gives no warning before the shot and its so fast you have to outplay where he aims because you can't dodge the harpoon. I also despise the reel-in mechanic. Oh and his teeny-tiny buffed by M&A terror radius.
-
They didn't just change undying because of complaints. The undying/ruin combo has probably shifted the numbers too much in that survivors, especially in low ranks where survivors hide when they hear a TR, can hardly ever get out. In other words undying/ruin was carrying the games too much. DS is mostly used by players that get caught 10 seconds later. If it hasn't been nerfed its because the inclusion of it has not greatly skewed the survival statistics. Since Laurie Strode came out, DS has been complained about and it is was changed quite some time ago. For some reason the majority of the community keep ignoring the fact that DS is NOT an anti-tunnel perk as confirmed by Peanits. Therefore it will not follow the 'I'm not being tunneled' rules people want to assign to it.
-
Why are killers still afraid of DS? Eat it before end game. Pick them up. Most will be caught in 10 seconds. Also devs have already said that DS is not an anti-tunnel perk, although the community calls it one because it is most often used...get this...when a survivor is being tunneled. Therefore it will not follow the "I'm not being tunneled, deactivation rules". Iron Will does not make breathing and footsteps quiet. That is a game bug. Also, how often do you run into DS and unbreakable? Perks have synergy, and if a survivor wants to waste two slots for the possibility that they may be slugged let them.
-
Because killers don't die.
-
"you should be wary of being near, knowing that getting seen a bad, and getting caught dangerous. It isn't, not to myself or any other truly experienced survivors."
And yet with every update and killer released the devs introduce a new way to find survivors. Aura reveals in a least 10+ perks and built in killer powers. Survivors WILL be found. At this point you can be revealed for cleansing a totem, touching a gen, getting out of a locker and recently rummaging through a chest. I don't play stealth. It doesn't pay off, and gens don't get done with this nice new undying/ruin combo. I run. You ever seen what happens when a person goes upstairs and hides in the bathtub during a horror movie? They die in the bathtub. Only the ones who fight back, get s**t done. I don't bully killers. That's some latent PVP crap from people who play other multiplayer games where they swagger around the map using hacks and autoaim and call themselves the best there is.
And there is not one horror game around that maintains it's 'horror and fear factor' for the majority of players. If you play something for 1,000 hours you've seen it all. There is nothing new and no reason to be afraid. Perhaps, you are not challenged with this game since you handicap yourself and still win. That is your experience and not the experience for the majority of the players who barely make it out. Maybe it is not because killers are powerless but that the person behind the killer is not as skilled as you. That happens on both sides. I don't believe you should reward a new player for simply buying a killer that can never be beat. Put in the time like everyone else, if you're getting your behind handed to you in every game, it's not the game.
-
Everything feels and looks strange and seems scattered around the screen, but we probably all will get used to it. I don't think the items should be on the left hand corner of the screen. I think it would look better with the item shrunken down in size and put it next to the gen counter. Also, now that killers have a hook counter, survivors should get a totem counter. It would help solo queue immensely.
-
Ace. I have two accounts on xbox and pc and I haven't bothered to buy him on either. I think he came for free on my xbox with the 'ultimate' version . I leveled him up enough to use on the rift. Complete garbage. I would have said Ash but finally flip flop is getting some value when paired with power struggle.

They can turn a 3-gen around because someone has luck. Basically you have another Tool as survivor to recover from mistakes which would otherwise cost you the game.
Sounds like NOED.

Rank means very little. I'd check the hours over assuming a red rank or a group of red ranks will be better at the game. Although the hours can be deceiving as well, rank is simply an indication of RECENT playtime. I've gone against green rank killers as a red rank survivor with over a thousand more hours in the game than me. These players could take a break from the game for two months, come back at green ranks and wipe the floor with red rank killers. It just means they have played a lot recently. With the way rank reset is set up right now, its hard to get out of high ranks even if you're out-skilled by most players and it means even less. When I play killer, admittedly not as much right now, I chock up losses to individual skill and check hours to verify that yeah they knew what they are doing from experience. Mind you, you admit to playing on at least one other account so your rank is no indication of your skill level either.
-
In most cases it was a few that ruined it for many but there are actually so many people that shouldn't even be playing the game because they are sore losers. If not having fun means you got downed you dc, got caught first you dc, fairly put on deathhook you dc, missed DS you dc, don't like the killer you dc, didn't activate Deliverance before you got hooked you DC, survivors are about to win you DC, don't like the map you DC, get spun you DC, pallet stunned you dc, blinded by a flashlight you dc, lose a survivor you're carrying you dc, totem gets cleansed you dc. These are the reasons people have DC'D often and with little regard to their teammates or other players . Ideally you can leave the game when being griefed but the ragequiting far outweighed the genuine reasons people dc'd.
-
Not bannable but chances are this Killer has been losing all day, had a bad day at school/work or is just a jerk in general. People who believe they are punishing survivors because they had a bad game before the current one make me laugh. When this happens I usually crack open my kindle or move my laundry from washer to dryer. I'm not going to sit there for your temper tantrum.
-
Rabbit's Foot- gain a token for a max of 3 tokens each time you safely unhook a survivor, or fully heal another survivor. The token will give you a buffer toward injury if at full health against basic attacks during the killer exposed status. Being hit by a basic attack while exposed will put your survivor in the mending state. Survivors touched by luck will have a green glow about their aura when being struck. You will not be able to heal for a total of 100/80/60 seconds after mending.

Please tell me how you spam with him considering the reload time, slowdown during reload, maximum length to shot, missed shot cool down or if you hit, reel time and weapon wipe.
You assume I mean shooting. I'm talking about ADS to make you run around like a chicken, somewhat like what Spirit s do when standing still and all the time closing the gap. On Midwich and any long corridors it's fish in a barrel.

I don't think its offensive to the voice actress, for me its just that the scream is just too loud. When i play killer i always hit the survivor when i hook them if they are a meg or a feng (now with the new one too), its not to BM its just to prevent them from hurting my ears.
Except the OP is not complaining about pitch they are saying a woman who did the voice acting doesn't sound feminine enough and they don't like her voice.
-
It sounds to me like a female. At no point did I think she sounded like a man. As a black female myself, with a lower range voice ,she sounds perfectly normal and unique from the higher pitched range of most of the other survivors. I'm loving it.
-
I've used the luck pouch and maybe the lattern. The appeal of charms wore off nearly as soon as they were released. I haven't even bothered to redeem the Halloween charms and I've seen the Dwightcrow codes in several streams and have yet to try and redeem it. They are a pointless addition to the game imo.
-
If 87 out of 100 were running that build then some popular streamer somewhere recently showed his chat the build and the mindless hive followed suit.
-
I enjoyed the moonrise event althought I was triggered by teammates throwing the game to get a lantern they could get later. Before that my favorite event was the Hallowed Blight event. It gave survivors something else to do even though it made us all mindless hoarders. I laughed all the way to the hook, as long as I got my nectar. Worse gameplay of my life but I enjoyed it.
-
Add shadownerf to maps that weren't revamped. I think the old pallet spawns on each map is out the window as maps can spawn with massive deadzones and a gen plunked smack dab in the middle of it all. Nice patchnotes, devs.
-
I have put down the game for almost a month and really have no incentive to pick it up for this 'event'. I might play if some of my friends want me to join them. I've been defending the game needing money for future DLC and licensing for quite some time now, but lately they seem to be making bad business decisions one after another. The community is ticked off and I can't blame them. You take an event that is well known for providing you with at least two free skins if you grind hard enough and then give the community free charms instead. All this during 2020, a year that has been in the crapper from start to finish, you make it so that families that might already be struggling with employment now have to pay money for those same skins. Seems like a solid plan?
Correct me if I am wrong but all the latest survivor and killer skins have been purple or gold which mean they are the highest price they can be. Half the time you can't even grind shards for them or because they are so expensive you'd really need to play this game like a part time job to afford them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm here because I still believe in this game. I believe things will improve and become more bearable for both sides but it just seems to be getting worse. Ever since the rift came out, I feel as if some of the other aspects of 'events' have suffered. Despite complaints the old Scorching BBQ event, Hallowed Blight, and Moonrise event were fun and innovative . I hope that kind of creativity returns to the game.
-
Deathslinger. The most unfun killer I have ever gone against. Most Deathslingers use the same build and shoot only when you approach a corner or vault. For some reason I always get hit by the m1 first and as slow as he is I'm not sure why I allow him that close. M&A is abysmal on him, and I also hate that he takes so long to down you. Like you have to wait for the inevitable M1 with a slow reel to your death. Lastly, his chuckle after he downs you is just icing on the irritating cake.
-
I've been watching and playing this game for nearly three years. Losing 1-2 gens early isn't the END of the game. I've seen killers turn things around with 1 gen left and I've seen no more gens pop after those initial 2 gens. If you get discouraged after two gens and start to play halfhearted, then you're already defeated. This game is easier than it has ever been for killers. Not saying it is easy but with each patch and map rework it gets much easier and more fair.
-
On another group I am in someone posted they DC if they go down quick because it is an indication of how the match is going to be. To my ears that sounds like a sore loser or someone afraid of a challenege. I told that person that just because you get downed first doesn't mean you will get caught a second time. And surely dcing when it happens means you will never improve in the game.
-
Making deerstalker basekit would absolutely increase slugging. The only reason some people get picked up is because they are crawling away and might get lost. It would also severely weaken perks like tenacity. It's fine where it is.
