nah. just bored and pressing rb

Yeah, it doesn't mean crap now, but that was the initial meaning until people started doing it just cuz.

Side note: I'm gonna mostly refrain from sharing my own opinions as I want peeps to share theirs without my input.

I'm also running the same poll on the subreddit to see how they compare. If anyone would like, after a couple days I can make a post for comparison. :)

I would like to see the results on both forums.

  • -if a survivor is waving their arms on hook they are being camped

-don't run the killer toward a hooked person but away from hook so someone else can save

-careful not to three gen, try not to do the gen next to the one you are on unless there are 3 gens in one area

-if you are being pushed out the exit gate, atleast take a hit to test for NOED

-when playing against a spirit try to cleanse when she is in chase with an injured surivivor

-rancor should not try and open the exit gate

-healthy survivors or those who have never been hooked should go for risky saves

  • Same OP. I don't insta-save, even if I'm close by I want to give the killer time to leave, but I died 3 games in a row last Saturday trading hooks with the last person, even in basement. I did that for the survivor on basement hook because they ran the killer for the last two gens and I couldn't let them go out like that. I need to stop, but the minute I leave someone on the hook they are the ones messaging me to say "Gee thanks," lol. I'm used to being left behind in comparison. I don't mind dying some games, but I also want to escape too sometimes.

  • Unpopular opinion but Autohaven, Swamp and Yamaoka maps.

  • They do have a built-in speedboost 'perk', its called bloodlust. Now if you want to take away bloodlust to create a perk that gives you speed, that's another discussion. Killers like Oni, Spirit, Billy, and Nurse need not apply.

  • There are several perks I would never use outside of getting the adept: buckle up, lucky break, autodidact, no mither, premonition, this is not happening, object of obsession, boil over,babysitter...and so many more.

On the killer side: make your choice, noed, bamboozle, rancor, cruel limits, mindbreaker, territorial imperative...just a few more. I feel like most of the killer perks are way more useful than most of the survivor's. It is no wonder you have meta perks. If you had a perk powerful/useful enough to take the place of current meta perks it would be too strong.

  • Would you stop going around antagonizing everyone. Every comment you have ever posted is bitter and hateful.

A break is not going to fix anything. If anything it will be worse when he gets back. Out of practice and totally new game to face. With each patch the game changes.

Sabo swf, seal team 6 squads using cheating comms will rule the roost soon. If this is the case i am done as well. I am just waiting it out to see how bad it gets. If sabo becomes meta. I am out.

Killer ques.....any time of the day. INSTANT que....surv que? Be prepared to wait. A long time the higher you go.

I seriously hope they are working on getting bots for you. Cos that is the way this game is headed.

I play killer as well, so no bots needed. It is fine to be frustrated with the game, I have been on both sides. You should absolutely let the devs know when you want to see change, but the OP sounds like they are frazzled 'nervous breakdown' frazzled, and that isn't healthy. I'm not trying to be snobby or sarcastic when I say this game might not be right for them.

  • "I use ultra rare add ons i slug I tunnel i camp i play dirty oh so [BAD WORD] dirty."

Maybe it's for the best you take an extended break or quit if you want. It sounds like you must have reached a breaking point. If the game is getting to you this badly, it might not be the right one for you.

  • @yukairi said:

I think it should take away the communication when the game starts between friends, that they can't talk to each other

SWF communicate through third party avenues such as Discord. They can also use steam, but the devs can't control that either, even if they were to take away a SWF option. If survivors need to talk through pregame chat they are probably solo.

Med kits got a nerf? I know about add ons consumed per trial but what was the med kit nerf?

Green medkits got nerfed, faster but less charges, so a yellow medkit is better than a green right now. Unless you hit a great it disappears. But yeah, I meant insta-heals. You get the point. @Pulsar

I mean, Almo answered a lot of questions in the past regarding Legion, for example he stated that they decreased the mending time because it would get unbearably high with certain Legion's add-ons (and everyone asked: "then why not simply change the add-on?"), or recently that he's happy with the current 4 seconds stun.

One would expect at this point that he would know what happens to Legion during Killer Instinct (because yeah, OP was explicitly speaking about that). If it's a bug I think it's a bit of a shame. I think that he simply misread the OP and didn't realise he was talking about Killer Instinct, but then the question remains:

WHY DOESN'T LEGION SEE GEN AURAS WHEN KILLER INSTINCT IS ACTIVE?

But if we have to stick with the bug explanation... what's next, realising just now that when Wraith gets burnt by a flashlight he needs to cloak-uncloak otherwise he can't hit :)?

I'm not talking about the OP or the changes needed for Legions-bugs should be reported. I'm talking about the rude people always telling Almo you 'need to do this' or 'your job is to do xyz.' (Again, OP did not use that language but someone else did.) There is a way to get your opinion across. Acting like a Karen at Walmart is not it. @Free_Hugs because I don't feel like replying twice.

  • @yukairi said:

Please de. Make something, you nerf everything from killer but never from surviver, the surviver is very toxic in swf, it's unfair for the killer, the balance now it's more for the surviver.

Are you new to the game? They just nerfed toolboxes on the PTB and it will be live in another week or so. Also, medkits just got a nerf. If you mean nerf the toxicity out of survivors, well that is something that can't be done. The devs can't force players to play how they want which is why no behavior outside of harassment in end-game chat, exploiting, and preventing other players from playing the game is punishable.

  • @Almo said:

Sounds like a bug if Legion is not seeing gens in Fenzy. I'd recommend posting in the bug forum about this.

I commend you for still posting in the forums. Almost everytime you post, someone who plays the game 'knows more' than the devs who made it, or tell you what your job is supposed to be and what your duties are, and yet you maintain your cool.

  • Honestly, once you cover projectiles, bludgeoning, and knives there just isn't much in the way of killing that will make another unique kill style unless they use telepathy or something to kill the survivor. Deathslinger has two things in common with Huntress, he's 110 movement speed and he essentially launches a projectile. I think the way in which he reels you in is very innovative and scary (albeit the fear will wear off soon). He is a fun killer to go against and play as and he isn't annoying for either side, except for people who maybe think he should move faster. No killer is going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I doubt any of us could do any better than Behavior. Sure, we have ideas that we think would go over well but writing something on paper and implementing it in an established game is leagues apart.

  • Keys can be annoying and frustrating. I've had escapes playing as killer when I had the pressure up and a three gen strat. Despite this, I hope the devs don't make any changes to keys or the hatch. Maybe making keys a little less common, especially in chests. But enough with the nerfing on both sides. They've now nerfed every survivor item except for keys and I hope it stays that way.

  • This post was inevitable. I typed in 110 movement speed on the forums search engine and posts about the Huntress movement speed needing to be increased popped up for 2018. All killers with 110% movement speed have been asked to have it increased, I think Legion was the only one that it was done for. Let's give players more time to get comfortable with the killer, more than a few hours of 'watching' other people play atleast, before we come up with suggestions for changing him or ranking how good or bad he will be on the killer tier list.

  • The one who rotates killers and is just good at killer. If you have 5k hours in just one killer, man you better be good at them or quit DBD entirely.

  • @Dehitay said:

It takes a considerable amount of bias to look at the update notes and actually think it's survivor sided. You seem to completely be ignoring anything other than what favors survivors.

Breakable walls will definitely be killer sided since if it's an advantage, they can break them whenever; and if it's not an advantage, they don't have to be broken at all.

Item retention was always ridiculously easy on escape. If you think this will increase item retention by any significant margin, you have no clue what survivors have been doing all this time. However, the garunteed addon loss on the other hand will be where the true difference comes from and that is huge unless survivors start running Ace in the Hole to counter it.

Sabotaging will now require a deal more of a head start than previously. If a survivor is downed too close to a hook, it's impossible to do anything about it with this change. And the faster hook spawns are definitely in the killer's favor.

Toolbox changes were clearly a nerf. If you bothered reading the details, that much was definitely made clear. You're just desperate to see everything as a survivor buff if you're honestly questioning this.

And all 3 killers that got changes were definitely buffed. This is one of the most killer sided patches in a long while.

I started writing a paragraph and then I saw what you wrote so I deleted it. Well said. The OP is suffering from willful ignorance. He/she will never see anything outside of a telescope with biased lenses.

  • I doubt backstory really sells characters at the end of the day. It doesn't for me. Looks, cosmectics, and yes ethnicity are the real sellers here. I have already seen Lebanese players excited to be represented and play her. I just hope Zarina's future look is much more different than other females as she is looking like a copy of Meg, Nea, and Yui with the boots, leather jacket, and side shaved head.

  • DBD devs you can't please this community. Good try though.

For the first guy hooked of the game there is no deliverance because he is the first being hooked so he couldn't get a safe rescue to active it.

I don't see what kind of situation your are reffering to, unless the killer decide to slug to one hooked everyone but this is extremely rare imo.

Read that wrong I thought you said deny struggling on first hook not first hooked survivor but I don't see what good that would do. Anyone who quits on first hook for legit reasons or not puts the rest of the team at an advantage. Which was also what I was referring to with my second comment. Scenarios where you 4% if the team is all slugged or also hooked are rare but clutch.

  • @Lewyx said:

Devs could remove the ability to attempt escapes for the first hooked survivor, that would atleast prevent actual 3v1 games.

They would have to account for deliverance and also that would screw up those rare games where the team is all in a bad spot and one guy yeets off hook and saves the day.

  • @Frankie said:

Neither need to be nerfed. They just need to be made more rare.

Not EVERYTHING needs to be nerfed. There is such thing as overbalance, and it's what kills games by making them a boring snoozefest.

100 % agree it is the fact that they are too common that is the problem not that they are in the game.

I did see your other comment and I would say that ebony Moris are very common in the web. Keys are not. But keys are easy to get with plunderers out of a chests.

  • Original. I think the killers are more interesting and fun and not limited to running every change through contract negotiations. Plus some of the cosmectics for the killer and survivor can be purchased with shards as well as the killer/survivor. With licensed characters everything has to be purchased.

  • There is toxicity on both sides. Whatever side you favor, most are convinced the other side is more problematic. The DBD community would do well to stop cutting itself in half. There are toxic people in this game: The flashlight clicker, end-game chat abuser, spam pallet and locker noises person goes on to become the ebony mori every game, facecamper, beat person on hook player. Surely, people don't think a survivor has never touched killer and vice versa or that the moment they do they become an angel.

  • I'm always working for the maximum bp I can get. That's why I do every totem I find-also happens to help against NOED. I could care less about pipping. The grind to unlock perks on killers and survivors is insane. Just give me my points. Also, if I die, saving another survivor I call that a win. The only time I won't try to save is if we most likely both will die.

As a killer, 4 BBQ stacks, decent chases, learned something from the game, and of course good BP and I call it a win.

  • I play mostly survivor, and I respect all players, period, until you give me a reason not to. I don't go into a game trying to abuse or bm a killer based on my last killer griefing me. I think we need to discard labels and just realize there are people that play the game terribly no matter what role. I don't think there is a survivor that bm's a killer and then goes on to play a wholesome killer game.

  • @kazakun said:

I agree with both points in a way. The fog can definitely be useful for stealth, hiding traps, etc. But both fog and shrouds are not great things to have to buy if there are other options. They both have some downsides depending on if you are on killer or survivor side also. I mean if all 4 start together in the same area and work on the same gen,it might not be as good an option as having everyone in different areas working on 3 gens, especially if someone gets spotted quick.

Agreed. Having everyone start the trial together is rarely advantageous and even when you start out together there is no guarantee it will stay that way for the few minutes it takes to work on a gen. Most gens now are 3 man at the most so somebody has to wander off. Not to mention if everyone is found together against a killer like Plague or Legion it is never good news.

Has anyone ever actually seen a match with 5 purple fog offerings stacked? I can only imagine!

I would love to see what this looks like too, lol.

As for gens spaced farther apart or closer together, that would be a huge game-changer, not sure if the devs would ever get behind that.

  • @Boss said:

I try to avoid the Separation one unless there's something behind them on the Bloodweb that i want, but i still won't use them.

The very idea that i could be the cause to separate them in such a way that they can all quickly start repairing a Generator on their own just scares me.

That's a good point. Separation is actually more efficient for the players especially against Plague, Legion, and Oni. Also when using the offering some survivors have dc'd thinking it is a mori.

  • Imagine trying to search for gen parts or fuel with Oni running the map downing your team. Then once you got the gen cranking he would come along with pop and regress it. Very few people would ever make it out.

  • Agreed. I hate going to Autohaven, especially to Gas Haven.

  • These aren't so much arguments as stating the mechanics of the game. This doesn't prove anything or even argue a point.

  • I don't know. I use it as part of my normal loadout along with inner strength. It stops three gen strats, helps you find totems in those hard maps like Hawkins, Lerys, and Yamoaka. Most people don't even bother with totems even though they are an easy 1k pts and there has been an increase in NOED. I often have to take one for the team and find them all myself.

2nd most useless offerings in the game to me.

I actually think the fog ones are more useful, for those who play stealthy or 'immersed'. I don't use them either as I don't stealth. They are also useful for stealth killers, or killers like Trapper.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Sometimes you have no choice but to buy them so you might as well use them. I use them often, especially when I'm doing rituals or challenges to complete gens or escape or something. It's usually easier with teammates

That is true. I've got a lot of add ons/offerings I don't use so they are stacking up.

  • @toxicmegg said:

literally never use shrouds i prefer bloodpoint offerings or something useful anyway

Agreed. I am having so much trouble keeping bp offerings on my mains because of all the other stuff I have to buy on the web that I feel is useless. That's the point of this whole thread.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1070600#Comment_1070600

An offering isn't as costly as a perk slot, and the closer someone is the easier it is to flashlight save them.

I get that, but you're using a 4k-6k bp to ensure people are near for a start of the match save. How many people go down before the first gen is popped, in which case the team splits up? If it is useful to you, I respect that.

  • I don't have anything to add, but I wanted to suggest you not track bad teams or killers. That's very subjective and wouldn't offer any useful information. Now if you wanted to track the rank of the killer or teammates, that would be more hard data.

  • They are trying to derank. If they are having a tough time at the current rank they figure going down a rank would be easier.

  • I main Hag, but sometimes she is unfun, especially in maps with high grass and a lot of high structures because of her height. It is also frustrating to have someone in the game with a flashlight.

  • Yesterday, I ran at a ghostface three different times to stop his stalk, we literally touched shoulders and it didn't reveal him. I tried to center him on my screen when he was standing in the middle of nowhere stalking, and still didn't reveal him. I was on xbox. It is really frustrating to play against him and as I hear it gf players get unfair reveals too.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

Flashlights and Prove Thyself exist, the shrouds have some use.

I could see using it for Prove Thyself, but really you usually spawn with someone now, and the other two players are just around the corner. Also, banding together is not all its cracked up to be with perks like discordance and infectious fright.

I also don't get what you mean about flashlights, are you betting on the person getting downed at the beginning of the match? Perks like empathy and Bond would be better for that, no?

I didnt do that, actually. And I'm not blaming anything on anyone other than someone who DC because they couldnt handle what happened in game.

So they're a scummy killer. And? Move on.

Disconnecting makes you worse than that, because it shows you cant regulate emotion, handle a loss, or just move tf on and be an adult. You have to "prove your point" or "get the last word" by going "######### you , I can pull the plug."

    "What the killer did"

What they did was waste their entire game and got one kill, and you took it personally, as a righteous crusade to combat. Get off your high horse hon.

And now you've resorted to insulting me instead of actually debating your point? I guess that just proves my theory about people who would DC over ######### like that.

I have no interest in responding to someone who has no response except "oh you're wrong, YOURE the #########".

Bye now, hopefully you'll grow up someday.

Also, don't ever call me hon again.

Good thing I don't need your approval to be an adult. It does not make me immature to DC on something like that. If I couldn't handle it I would DC in the beginning not waiting until the gens popped. The point is you are not going to be rewarded for playing like that. I don't play this game so that I can indulge children because DCing might upset their feelings. I don't encourage DCing either. I haven't insulted you, I SAID, read carefully, if you want to play like an ahole (Not you, the person standing over someone for 3 gens because they are scared of rancor getting away) then you get what you get, which is not your cheated prize.

As for debating, what were you backing up your opinion with? Feelings? Its an opinion and not facts that DCing against scummy playstyles makes you worse than the other player. Therefore I don't need to break out a dissertation to prove anything.

And stop trying to play the victim here, reporting every comment.
