I play Claudette on rotation with Feng and Nea, and I'm neither immersed or afk on gens. I'm not an expert looper but I do get chased and with some killers I can run them for a good piece. Most people on gens will actually do other things that someone getting chased can't do, like hook rescues, totems, healing others, and opening gates. You also get bold points for coming close to the killer but not actually entering chase. I think killers complain about AFKing on gens, and I would probably too if I mained killers, because as long as there is someone on the gen the game is never slowed down, time is ticking while you chase. Every team I played where everyone was running around, immersed in the grass, or running at the hook for a rescue, we lost.

Yay. Just got purposefully farmed by a Claudette. As always.
They really need to put a stop to this #########. It's toxic behaviour and the Claudettes do it on purpose.
You're [BAD WORD] kidding me. I am a Claudette main u tool. I dont farm ######### I wait for the killer to [BAD WORD] off. Why u saying all Claudettes are toxic when its just a few of them. Lots of Claudettes I've met are not toxic. And yes that includes bloody Claudettes.
Because in my experience, and in the experience of many others - the vast majority of Claudettes play like this. They are often selfish people who farm others and hide at the edge of the map for the hatch. They are always the first to leave the gens. They spend 10 minutes running around looting every chest in the game. They often try to lead the killer to other people to save themselves. In some cases rhey even purposefully bodyblock.
You might not be but it doesn't change the fact that many others are.
I mean she has that rep as being the toxic character for a reason. Squadettes exist for a reason. Also the fact that she's known as the hardest character to find goes towards their intentions of being stealthy and leaving gens to hide for the hatch.
It's amazing how we all have such different experiences. I rotate, Nea, Feng, and Claudette (claudie mostly because she gets a bad rep and I want to play her differently;not immersed, team player) I find that Jakes and Neas are some of the worse teammates in my experience. Neas are the ones that usually blow up gens for me and urbanly evade away while the killer comes when I'm trying to finish up, also leads killers to me when I'm doing gens, or stands infront of pallets that I can't throw down. I also find that most hatch campers are Jakes and Neas in my games. I've had run ins with numerous Jakes that would do gens while you're on the hook even though you're the last two players, pop the gen, killer finds Jake and you never get off the hook. I get farmed a lot by Megs, who use sprint burst after they get me off the hook and run away when the killer comes for me even though they have full health. What I mean to say is that we all have skin types that we associate with bad players, but it doesn't make it true for everyone. Also, I'm not aware of Claudette being any more toxic than any other player, immersive, yes, but then she meg, and dwight are the most played so I'm guess they get around to having the most stereotypes.

Exit gates from start to finish take 20 seconds to open. Sounds like the gate was already partially done with the open sequence.i actually asked the survivor after, he and no one else had touched it and he apologized for being toxic
Well if they had Hope or any other perk that speeds up actions then it would've opened quicker, not including another person having such a perk.
I think you mean Wake Up. Hope only increases movement speed. Also, if someone with leader stood by the person opening the gate, it would open faster and so would an injured person using resilience.

It's certainly annoying waiting nearly 10 minutes every time I want a Killer game. It's dragging this out to an absurd length for me.
Worst part is the dread you might get hit by a really good team who will stomp your ass I'm starting to see why their was so many nurses when i played survivor. XD
This is why they made us play killer for 1/2 of the vials. They wanted survivors to get a new perspective.
Could a done that by making killers require earning 20 vials and survivors 40 vials. Hear me out a killer needs a lobby of 4 people a survivor only needs one killer. We should make earning vials based of player count not game play preference of survivor or killer. The required players can not be satisfied by preference alone.

I agree, even though you have to share plants, the survivors are usually done well before the killers.

I have only one thing to say to the OP of this thread. AMEN.

Hag, which I know is really unpopular. I usually survive against the hag, maybe because so few players play her not many are really good. I also enjoy the jump scares, and the tension of watching where you step.
-
I've played a few games where the killer got almost no hooks. I'll offer a hook at the end if I haven't been hooked already. I've seen a lot of survivors doing this as well. I've also stepped in to take the place of a survivor being tunneled all to hell, good players are out there, I'm sorry you're encountering a bunch of crappy ones.

Simple reason: Because nothing will ever be done about. It's the same reason there continues to be lag switchers even when streamers video tape and send in the information to the devs then play against the same lag switcher for months. Anonymity gives people the courage who wouldn't bust a grape in real life, to do despicable stuff to people, trying to make themselves feel better. No one likes to lose, and when they are losing it is usually easier to try and project blame on someone else than to admit it's their fault. I agree that bullying is a group mentality. Fuss out a killer, and most of the time other players will agree, bolstering the feeling that they are in the right. Most of the time I am that player that tells the other survivor to chill out and stop acting like an azz. Be kind anyway, bullies don't know what to do when they can't p*ss you off.

Nurse. I don't care how much skill she takes to learn, she breaks the natural mechanics of the game. She ignores any kind of game mechanics designed to combat the killer, pallets are nearly useless and if you're on the Game Map, say goodbye to your sorry self unless its a day 1 nurse. In my experience Nurses either slug too much, which is totally unfair, you're already a dayum nurse or hook babysit; Blink away from the hook until rescue and the second your feet hit the ground she blinks back. To top that off, she is always making crazy hits that shouldn't even land. Her lunge is ridiculous. Banish that bish. The number one thing that CAN combat her is hiding and breaking line of sight, and then they gave her stridor. Is this a joke? I feel like she was the creation of one of the devs who had a bad day playing as killer. If I had a second choice it would be the clown.

I think toxicity in DBD is a carry over from the immature and over-reactive player mentality in other games. All games have toxic players, even the Sims. Players are just competitive and often times an adult that has the mind of a 14 year old or an actual 14 year old. The internet offers them the anonymity to say something outrageous in an attempt to make themselves feel better, without fear of repercussion. They'll be salty if they don't win, and cocky if they do. My advise, as a survivor main who never teabags is get used to it, don't let it p*ss you off and throw you off your next game. Whether you play fair or not, there will always be idiots teabagging at the entrance, just like I encounter killers who 'beat, hatchet, and tonic me' until death on the hook simply if I ran them around for a bit. And I mean, for a bit. I'm not even a good looper. Also, teabaggers always pay in the end. I've seen many survivors both streamers and otherwise, die at the exit gates because they just couldn't leave until the killer witnessed them spam crouch.

I hardly see any Quintons, Tapps or Lauries. Jake is 4th least seen I'd say.

In the future there might be another asian female or not. I don't see why that is such a big deal as at least there is representation at all. There are other ethnicities that aren't even represented here yet, like Native American, any of the many Hispanic ethnicities such as Mexican, South American, Puerto Rican etc, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander.
Also, Tapp was added not because he was black or white or purple but because he was a character they could get rights for from the movie Saw. Adam is the first non-licensed man of color survivor who was actually created by these developers. Tapp may never get personalized skins but Adam sure can.
To the OP who is discouraged to continue playing because they didn't add a Japanese female. You've got bigger problems with Dbd than just the skins. If it's that petty, you're not that invested in the game anyways.

I had a doc give me the hatch a few games ago. It was the first time anyone ever did. First guy that got down and went in basement dc'd. I finished a gen just in time for another person going for the rescue to get downed. Instead of saving or attempting to save while the Doc was on me the third person dc'd. Basement person seeing me get hit, gave up on hook. I was downed right next to the hatch so the Doc gave it to me.
-
First, why is this topic under survivor's section? Secondly, aren't devs already buffing killers? This was known well before the August 16th date of this OP's post.
-
Obviously I don't know how to count. I meant 5 for the last one. Jeebus.
-
I usually try and save, except in a few situations. 1.) Facecamp-not a patrol but an in-your-face camp, unless there is one person there to distract, by myself I'd just get us both killed. 2.) Leatherface hard patrol 3.) basement leatherface 4.) Noed (I'll try and find it) it if there is enough time. 4.)the person on the hook was a bastid in pre-game chat. Say something rude before the game starts up to anyone in lobby and I'll let you die every time. Unfortunately, I end up playing with teams that 3 man down and get hooked quite often, usually with a leatherface. I've learned to exit those games.

It's nice to have Adam but they really need to step up his skins game. His clothing is really boring and uninspired. Best thing about him is his fade. I wish they would have released an athletic male or at least one with clothing that was sporty, not business attire again. I don't play male survivors but I might try Adam just because he probably won't get much love.
-
Claudette's clothes are trash compared to everyone's else's as per usual. Is she dressed like an Obaasan? They should have done a kimono for her. I think the Huntress's new skin looks the best. I love the owl headdress and the entire outfit is badazz, as is the Trapper's new gear. My favorite survivor skin is Nea's. I just hope it comes with dark hair. Kate looks like she escaped from the 70s but I love those glasses.
-
Why even click on the topic just to tell the OP to trash her opinion. S/he has a right to give it, just anyone else up here complaining about the game.
I personally don't have a problem with the way she is dressed, but I do think it is odd that all she's wearing is bandages. Doesn't fit with her lore. When her father killed her, was she getting out of the shower? Makes more sense to have her in a gown or something. I see her as amalgamation of a few of the killers who already exist. Bandaged and disappearing like the wraith, contorted like the hag, projection speeds and sneak attack like the nurse. She's my favorite killer design of them all.
-
Claudette, although Nea is a close second. I like breaking the Scaredette stereotypes floating around.

Self-care doesn't need a nerf. There is enough perks on the killer side to punish it; Nurses calling, add-ons that slow healing like mangling, coulrophobia, not to mention doc's madness that stops any form of objective without snapping out first. Self-healing in itself is a compromising thing to do. It means you aren't doing any gens, taking someone off the hook, or destroying totems. I don't doubt that it's a powerful perk, as it means you can take another hit without getting down but it can also backfire on the survivor.
-
Survivors and killers should not be exploiting. Doesn't make it right because someone else does it. I too have had a map with a tinkerer 2 Billy but because I knew about the yet-to-be-fixed bug I was able to look out for him. My teammates didn't catch on so quick rank 15.
