Omg, as killer, I had a Quentin, we were on the game, and I was Huntress, I had this Quentin, cutest bloody survivor in the end, scare the literal crap out of me! He was following me around and when I turned to see him (I like playing with survivors, especially when they are playing with me) in slow motion, only to run backwards. This mans was staring at me, crouched, looking up. He was p3 but holy heckles... I laughed soo hard that match! I can't forget those eyes
LOL Quentin's are laid back. I should meme more but most of the time the killer is not in the mood and I just get jacked. Most people don't think Quentin is cute though. :)
-
If I play Quentin it happens every time, and once they find me, it is on until I am hooked, usually twice. However, being hooked first has been a good omen for me. It usually means I will survive the trial.
Also, survivors are so loud when cleansing totems you would think they are performing cardio. Never fails that I am greeted by a stabby Ghostface if I spawn on a totem (most of the time a dull one at that).
-
As long as that killer nerf list is, many of those things are bugs or changed because of the addition of something else and shouldn't even be on the list. Unbelievably, removing the ability to abuse the game mechanics has been listed as a nerf. That being said, survivors have had even more changes in the last two years than that. It's called attempting to balance which will never happen because it's subjective to each person and no one is ever satisfied with this game even though they sink thousands of hours into it.
-
I play Xbox and PC. There has been times when I think I have been matched with a new (but really good) killer at rank 16-13 and they have more hours in the game than me. Even at purple ranks I have faced killers with 4500hrs or more in the game who were in green and yellow ranks . I have run into potatoes in red ranks and flashlight Gods at rank 16. When checking out spicy players I go right to the profile. Can't wait for them to remove ranks from scoreboards.
-
What is weird about this post is that you knew it wasn't true before you posted it.
-
I dunno why it was originally set up that way but survivors have way more items to collect just to use something efficiently. For each item, flashlight, toolbox, medkit, map and key you need two add ons plus the item to use it effectively. That is 15 pieces right there for 5 items. Of course you can use the item without any add ons but it wouldn't really be worth it in most cases. Killers have fewer add ons and what they need shows up much more frequently in the bloodweb. A quick count on the dbd wiki revealed that per survivor you have to deal with 55 add ons in any given web where a killer on average has 20. Not to mention offerings for bp, luck, fog, coins, wards and map requests. As you can see the potential not to find what you need is higher, plus killers on average earn more bloodpoints.
-
When I go into the match with a key (rare times, only did it for the challenges) and it's a Bubba who immediately smacks me to show me his Franklin's.
When I put on plunderers and offer a coin for chests and spawn with someone who dives for the chest 5 seconds into the match. Are you serious?
When I see that red circle around my name 30 seconds into the match. -__-'
When I spawn with someone else and they blow up the gen instantly and run away.
Unpopular opinion but any Autohaven maps. I hates it.
When I bring in the item I took out of the last game when I meant to put it away.
Even before the match, when the icon turns around to show the offering for Hawkins.
-
Survivor queues were already taking a long time in red ranks before the ruin change was announced. This occurred after the matchmaking change where swfs were paired with the highest ranking survivor. Before the change red rank killer queues were the lengthy ones for some players and it didn't mean less survivors were playing.
-
Autohaven, densely palleted in some areas and huge deadzones elsewhere. Of course it needs an update, very bland looking, cars and junkpiles could use some texture/ color.
-
Where the hell is ghostface? 1000x ghostface, followed by puddle spamming Freddy.
-
I main Tapp, and he does not get near as much love as he should. :(
-
Spine chill. A certain streamer I used to watch had it on all his builds before it became popular. With the introduction of ghostface and the new oblivious state as well as how hard it is to tell killer direction and proximity it comes in clutch. I'm not even a stealth player but it helps me not to get yoinked off a gen, stalked by myers, or get caught out of position when I'm on an isolated gen.
I'm all ears. Unlike most killer perks survivors are slow to catch on to its use. I've been caught more as a survivor double vaulting and as a killer it can end loops much faster and potentially shut down shack.
-
What is the point of this thread? To antagonize killers? To show-up that survivors are the 'power role'. In some games yes, gens go fast, killers don't get many hooks, and everyone escapes. In other games killers slow down gens, survivors get hooked left and right, and everyone gets sacrificed. Good for you if you are making it out every match.
-
My most frustrating moments always have to do with teammates. I am not a God-tier survivor, I can run decently, and sometimes I can't run at all if I'm caught out of position. My peeve above all peeves are teammates that won't do gens. I had a game yesterday against a Legion. Three gens got done the entire match, all by me, ALONE. Now mind you I was chased and hooked too. Every time I looked at my teammates they were running around healing or doing a quarter of a gen only to run off if someone else got hooked. I ended up dying and a higher-ranked Yui hid behind some tires to get the hatch. She had about 400hrs more than me in the game, so there is no excuse she didn't know how to play. All her points came from farming off hook and that escape through hatch.
Killer was using ruin btw so anytime they ran off their gen went back to zero until they found the totem.
Second scenario that tilts me really bad is if there is one gen left, two people alive including myself, and I run the killer, and instead of doing the last gen the teammate is looking for hatch or switching lockers. When I say it takes everything in me not to message this person with a rant...ugh.

TBF BL was used because it was abusable and far stronger than the other exhaustion perks, in that it had a major passive effect even when exhausted.
I know why it was nerfed. The few ruin everything for the many, same as with Forever Freddy, I'm just pointing out that things are changing. Meta perks on both sides are changing by buff or nerf.
-
I can only speak for myself but buffing weaker perks has changed my loadout. I dropped DS for kindred and adrenaline for Detective's Hunch after the buff. I think it will encourage non-meta builds except with your few diehards. The ner f to BL has already decreased its use. Dedicated servers have done more to decrease DH use. BT will probably always be in heavy rotation though.

So few pallets get left to lift that I don't see the cooldown having anything to do with the fix.
I'm worried this rework is gonna translate into rebuilding broken pallets...that's terrifying.
Highly unlikely.

You don't have to buy the rift pass right away, you can play for a few weeks, see how far you make it on the levels of the free track and then decide if you want any of the cosmetics in the rift pass. The way it works is whatever level you make it to on the free one will be the same level in the purchased one. That is my intention so I don't feel forced to grind because I paid money.

I have always done this. Detective's Hunch is a must have for me.

Keys aren't that common in the web, not like Moris but the are much easier to find in chests with plunderers.

I haven't been playing my man Tapp enough lately, he has that deeper voice right?
Yes it is deep. I can always tell if Tapp is hurt. :( Very distinctive.
-
Nancy I'd put down at the bottom with Jane, she sounds like a turkey when she gets hit. I still play her though. Jane is my girl but they really should redo her voice. Did no one think her moans did not sound like pain? Ash I would put as bad. I'm just tired of hearing him shitting in the tall grass. My boy Tapp I would put as Great but the rest are spot on, imho.
-
I am cornblind so a survivor who spins me in the corn is an escapee. Thanks for the tips posters. I also main hag, her fov is so low it's a shame.
-
My theory on queues in red ranks taking a long time for survivors and instant for killers is because of the new changes to rank reset and matchmaking. It is now easier to get to and stay in red ranks as survivor which is why a lot of red rank killers are encountering 100-200 hour potatoes. Also now when a red rank swfs instead of being matched with mid-tier killers the full squad of mixed players is placed with red rank killers first and foremost. Solo red ranks cannot queue with the 4 man set of mostly new or midtier survivors. Then red and purple rank solo players get thrown in with the only killers in abundance, the new or low rank killers.
-
My first three games today were killers with ebony moris. My last 2 games were the same. I don't think it has anything to do with ruin nerfs though. The killers were doing just fine without it. Teams went down like dominoes. I played with green and purple ranks.
-
Honestly you will see more people bringing items to assist with challenges either maps to help find totems, boxes to sabo hooks, or keys to escape which admittedly for this one is not needed. My first three games of today the killers brought an ebony mori and hardly anyone brought anything in. It is what it is. If the item is in the game players have a right to use it.

I don't think you know how much survivors can abuse BT. Its 100% a second chance perk.
I know how BT can be used. We'll just agree to disagree, I guess.

OP with the sky is falling post. Please stop projecting your own wishes and feelings into the game. DBD is not dead, not even close.

You know whats also not fun? Survivors stacking 16 2nd chance perks. Some of which can be used multiple times per trial (looking at you Dead Hard, and Borrowed Time). But we don't see the devs care a wet fart about them, because its only the killer having to deal with that bullshit.
I agree that DS is a second chance perk but BT is not. If you hit someone with BT you were in close proximity either camping or proxying hook. For the hooked survivor BT is the only chance perk.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
If slowdown perks are harder to stack then devs will have room to increase their power.
Agreed. The problem with slowdown perks is that the devs never intended for them to be stacked 3 in a game on top of add ons like what you have with forever Freddy. Killer mains can thank their fellow players for that. Same thing with bnp getting nerfed a while back. They did not create the ultra rare add on for 4 survivors to equip and rush gens like crazy. Abusing the system so consistently brings about change. Good or bad depends on perspective of the player.
-
Another thread to add to the hundred or so like it. Nothing new here. *eyeroll*

Impossible 90% of games are swf. Losing doesn't mean you were against a swf. That excuse is getting out of hand.

Nefing something based on its popularity is not a good way to make your player base happy. "hey this is hugely popular. Looks like our player base really enjoys this. Let's nerf it!"
That's literally what happened to selfcare.

NOED is not a problem for me, whether I SWF or run solo most of my builds include Detective's Hunch. On the flip side the same people justifying NOED by saying just do totems, are the same ones wanting better totem hiding spots. Well, the devs have listened. Unless you are running a totem finding perk on some maps like Springwood, Hawkins and even Redforest, and definitely on the new Lerys, totems can be crazy hard to find. I've looped an entire map with no success of finding them all when I am forced to run w/o DH.

Yes, I do. I dont think I'm following your question though. What specifically are you eluding to?
I think she's talking about after you kill the keyholder, unless they have certain add ons, once they die any of the other survivors can pick up the key.
-
Whether the gates are 99d or not if you down a survivor the other survivors are under pressure to save them before they die on hook or bleed out of you decide to slug. Being that mostly all killers will now camp with no gens to patrol that is where your pressure comes from not a 2 min timer. Also, not opening the gate has been responsible for a lot of deaths. Unless someone is babysitting the gate, running to it with the killer on your heels is almost certain death. I don't see the problem with it. As many have said before if you want the timer pressure open it yourself. But of course you won't if you're standing in front of the hooked survivor.
-
On a side note. Great snowball from having 3 gens pop within the first minute and a half to that 4th gen stoppage. Rough map too.
-
It happens. Believe it or not survivors get harassed by other survivors in endgame chat or by messages. "Why didn't you save me...yadda ...yadda. Trash survivor. Take a hit, forehead, not to mention the racial slurs dropped just to prove they are badazzes. These are just people, not survivors, not killers, but ignorant players who have a problem admitting they might have made a mistake or they could be wrong or they could player better. I had a game against an Oni not too long ago, I was two man swfing (not on comms because he streams) and on my first hook I could see all three survivors trying to save me. Now, if I can see them, so can the Oni. He didn't leave the hook, I went into second stage. My friend had a fit about him camping in postgame chat. I came to his defense because what was he supposed to do when you they all there? Leave and go kick a lonesome gen? Players don't stop to think, they don't think about what they are doing in relation to what you are doing. They'll never learn, so don't waste your breath. Keep on keeping on. If you play this game long enough you'll have to get used to the salt. Use it on your fries.
-
I like going against Pigs, Wraiths, Myers, and Onis.
-
As a fairly new killer without the build I want on almost all the killers I play, the ruin change is going to make things more difficult for me. I won't play Trapper again until I can get Corrupt Intervention on him. However, being that I play on low to mid-ranks, I still encounter survivors that run off a gen the moment I approach. The immersed players are going to have to make a decision now, to get off the gen and let it regress or stay and face me.
As a survivor, I am relieved. Skillchecks on xbox were a pita. ( I also play PC and that wasn't much of a problem. Even though I powered through ruin most of my team ran around like chickens. I started running Detective's Hunch to get rid of totems after I popped the first gen and I don't see that changing. I think Devour Hope will become more common and I'd still like to get the new ruin out of the way before survivors are pressured off gens.
-
Genrushing does exist, but in my experience, can't speak for anyone else, it is very uncommon and like tunneling often used incorrectly. If you camp at 4 gens, run after one survivor who you can't catch until 3-4 gens are popped, then you are not being genrushed, you have failed to pressure anyone but that one survivor. If you have 3-4 survivors with commodius toolboxes, bnp, and gen perks then yes, they intend to genrush, and that is fair game for you to mori, tunnel, or whatever you have to do to even the odds. Understand that all those strategies do occur whether survivors have a toolbox or not.

I have no specific target as a killer . I have experienced or seen toxicity from nearly all the survivors except for maybe Jeff, Ace, Tapp, and Jane. When playing survivor though I hate to see a Jake queue up with me and Dwight's have been a bad omen for sandbagging.
-
Build I always run on Tapp: Detective's Hunch, Kindred, Inner Strength, and Quick n Quiet or Spine Chill. My healing build is Empathy, Botany, Inner Strength, and Resilence. Thanks to dedicated servers I have been running resilience and spine chill more often for that split second vault I need not to get hit 2 feet from a window.
-
Welp, glad I don't have a PS4. Now that you got that off your chest I hope you feel better. Also a name like Hategoddess would be better suited for you now.
-
I know two people that main Adam. The players are out there and look what new skins did for Jake. There are way more Jake players recently after the Hollowed Blight event.
-
As a survivor, I am good at determining how many loops I can get out of a tile but in my quest to be efficient I am usually caught up on objects . Corners, boxes, hooks, hay, you name it, I bump into it or get stuck for a second and it slows me down.
Also, getting better at reactions but killers can still often get a hit on me with abrupt change of direction. Usually because I am trying not to run into anything.
Huntress.
As killer. I am too fair. I know what I dislike as a survivor and try not to be a hypocrite.
Reaction time. I swing nearly half as much as I should, especially at windows.
