I wanna see survivors here on forum if DS or BT get nerf. That will be hundreds of crying posts. 90% of survivors is using BT and DS so most of survivors rely on these two perks. Like killers rely on ruin.
They have been. The original DH could be used while standing still, now only works while sprinting, not to mention exhaustion nerfs that affected all exhaustion perks. BT used to protect both the rescuer and the hooked but now only protects the hooked person. But yeah it can be used multiple times now instead of just once. Outside of swf it is a selfless perk.

The past year or so of survivor nerfs (from the exhaustion changes to present) would like to speak with you.
-Healing speed nerf on top of a self care nerf on top of a sloppy butcher buff making self care one of the worst perks in the game
-Mettle of man, insta heals, balanced landing nerfs
-The missed opportunity to make No Mither have an actual use (if you don't bleed, you shouldn't drop blood orbs against Oni. I still stand by that but it's not a serious issue because the perk is still dumb)
-Nerfs to gen speed when working with other survivors
-Leader nerf
And plenty more that I can;t remember off the top of my head. To sit here and say nothing is done for killers is a false narrative thrown around in this echo chamber forum.
Object of obsession nerf with introduction of undetectable.
Vault speed nerfs
Green medkits reduced to one-use speedy brown medkits
EGC while not a literal nerf did more to ensure survivor death than any changes in the past year.
Nerf to stealth with louder breathing, footsteps, and sound added to dropping off ledges. Not to mention each new survivor is louder than the last.
I am not debating whether a nerf was needed or not just listing that they did occur.
But yanno when survivors get nerfs it's considered balance, when killers get nerfs it's considered favoritism.

I play survivor 80 percent of the time. Slugging matches are rare. They won't be. And survivors definition of tunneling is if you are hooked everyone else needs to be hooked before you can be again so yes they complain a lot.
Slugging is not just slugging the whole team, quite often killers slug the second to last to deny the last person hatch if they don't know where it is. I see this in a lot of streams I watch and it happens enough in my games. I don't slug as killer because I know how dull it is. But to each his own. In tunneling there are a lot of survivors who use it incorrectly but there are quite a few killer mains that subscribe to the remove one player from the match early strat. It's a good strat but it really punishes the other player. I see why people complain but it doesn't do any good.
-
I missed all the posts on here where survivors complained about ruin.Tunneling, camping, and slugging have been at the top of the list of survivor complaints with the current ruin, so considering all the killer mains threatening this nothing is bound to change. FYI I am fine with current ruin though the current meta of ruin and pop is frustrating.
-
I'm on the bubble on this one. Gens going too quick is a real problem especially for low mobility killers. I do think that if a low rank killer has ruin its gg for him but ruin was probably the only thing slowing down the momentum with red ranks. If the changes go through ruin should not be a totem anymore. I also think that the changes in ruin have the potential to really shake up gameplay just like survivors had to adjust to healing and exhaustion nerfs. I'll reserve further judgement until I see this change in the ptb.

I am going to make red/purple rank survivors as miserable as possible, purposely derank myself, then make the green/yellow rank survivors as miserable as possible. I'm talking slugging, tunneling, noed, ebony moris, tombstone meyers, insidious camping, the works. I'm going to do this for about two weeks, then quit the game and go back to Deep Rock Galactic, 7 days to die, and StarCraft 2.
I think you mean make yourself as miserable as possible before you quit the game. I've seen you post many times before about taking your frustrations out on other people. I hope you find some peace in life and realize this is just a game.
-
I came here expecting Beauty and the Beast Lyrics. @_@ Disappointed.
-
I think the game has made much needed improvements and a few unnecessary changes. The biggest things I think need tackling are ironing out the problems with dedicated servers, and get console on them as well. Also, most maps need a rework, some killers need buffs, and the biggest elephant in the room which probably has never been satisfactory is matchmaking.
-
I take that to mean you have to hook a survivor in the basement five times, not all at once. You'll have to be careful not to hook all four at once unless you've hooked one down there before or you'll be one hook short.
-
It sounds like you keep queuing with the same survivors which isn't uncommon in some regions, depending on the time of day and rank. Are your queue times really long if you dodge them?
-
I have a friend or two who use it regularly. It really helps if I dig out a toolbox from a chest but because I don't usually bring in toolboxes and prefer botany paired with medkits I don't equip it. I'd get it just to stop it from popping up in my web but not it isn't a priority.
-
I consider any point earning, plus survival increasing chore in the game an objective. Of course cleansing totems is more optional to survival than not doing gens. However, if the killer has Devour Hope it quickly bumps up in importance. One thing about objectives is they can all be ignored, from opening the gate to saving a person on hook.

Slugging meta has increased with the introduction of the oni so more people equip the perk to deal with it.
-
Fire whoever designed Quentin's face and designs Claudette's cosmetics... I kid. Increase double bp events to make up for how grindy it is to level up survivors and killers.
-
Just leveled up Yui. I had a lot of fun with Any Means Necessary last week. I played against a no pallet breaking Myers and reset the same pallet twice, my teammates got good use out of it. I plan to do some runs with empathy and break out but it's difficult since hooks are so close to where survivors go down most of the time. The shrine and rift are also encouraging iron grasp and agitation. Perhaps with a hook distance offering it will be more viable.
-
Doctor makes sense because his power makes a stealth build useless. Lockers are the logical choice for hiding. Against a Huntress unless I want to avoid BBQ from across the map I wouldn't dare.

Sometimes I throw tonics on the hooked survivor, but only because I assume a survivor is hiding around the hook. This way if they go too early for the safe I will know.
I'm not talking about that which is smart and deters hook rushing, I also see clowns do that before picking up someone who may have DS .I'm talking about standing in front of you and hitting you with all tonics, reloading and then hitting you with even more tonics. I had a clown do that to me after downing me with NOED. He even knew where to stand in my FOV right before the entity takes you so there was a close up of him grinning. I sent him a message of GG after the game even though it was one of the worst games I have ever played in dbd.
-
Same reason killers hit you on hook, smack pallets you failed to drop, or hooks before they put you on it, shake their head when they down you or spam hatchets, tonics, and chainsaws on your hooked body. Because they can and it is fun for them or it is a taunt or they saw someone they admire do it. I used to get really tilted because I play really nontoxic. I may have teabagged a killer twice in the nearly two years since I started playing this game. Best thing to do is to get used to it and not let it affect you or it will carry over into the next game and make you a bitter player.
-
As a survivor main it doesn't bother me. I expect it and plan for it most matches. I run Detective 's hunch and inner strength on my Tapp in 98% of my games. The only time it gets by me is when I am tunneled most of the game and can't do totems.
-
I doubt the fun factor from just the survivor side influenced his changes. He's not exactly played a lot, so on the occasion you do face him as a survivor he's actually a relief from Ghostface and legion who I find even more annoying. He's not at the top of the complaint list on the forums so it's curious why they are focusing on him other than because he rarely gets any use. Maybe he will be more user friendly and influence more to play him. We'll just have to wait and see.
-
How do you know it is SWF? Can individual players not be toxic and altruistic?
-
I'm guessing you already know this after your ordeal but never accept a party invite after a bad game. That's just opening you up to harassment. It sounds like you are on console. I play both xbox and PC and PC they would just say that stuff in end game chat, only console needs to invite you. I hope you reported all of them, not just in DBD but on their accounts as well. This game attracts very toxic, immature, and yes, underage players that have no impulse control. Don't entertain them is the only solution.

Almost all the survivors have a stereotype. I'd say the most hated survivor is Blendette. I don't hate Meg but in my experience they are the most farming people in the game. Personally, I don't like to team up with Jakes, but that's a bias that doesn't hold true to all of them. Like who you like. There will always be someone who dislikes what you do.

First of all,rude
Second I have reached red ranks playing only doctor and imo it's not that hard to go to red ranks as killer. It didn't take me long to go there.
Third, perks exist for a reason. Every perk exists because it was design to help the player with something (all the perks I mentioned were meant to slow the game down, bamboozle was created to help the killer with chases same with spirit fury,ECT)
I don't know if I sound as a survivor main or a level 20 killer with no experience but this is my honest opinion. I had games that ended up on 3 minutes because i didn't run ruin (also swf and I was underleveled) and I had games that I dominated so much that they couldn't even finish the first gen.
Today for example (let me note I'm in purple ranks this season) I had 3 games were the survivors barely finished the first 3 generators. It really comes down on how you can pressure them, your perks, the killer ability and your opponent's stupidity and lack of skill imo. Believe me or not, that's the truth.
Don't worry, Scorpio is about to stroke out from how furious s/he is typing. You would not be believed to be a killer main unless you are killer-sided in all your opinions. Not many in this forum can fathom that one survivor's or killer's experience can differ from their own. The moment that person comes forward they are denounced as having a lot of hours in the game, knowing what they are talking about, or being part of the illustrious side for which the other person is arguing about.

1) Dying Light and Thana are trash. Thana was in a good spot for like a minute before the devs nerfed it down to an at most 16% decrease in repair speed. Not worth the perk slot. Dying Light, I don't even understand what this perk does anymore. No one uses it because they nerfed it to hell when they messed around with the Obsession mechanic. Giving your obsession a 33% boost to healing speed is NOT worth whatever the hell this perk gives you in return.
2) Ruin and Pop are the current meta because killers HAVE to use them to slow the game down. Trust me, if I didn't HAVE to use Ruin and/or Pop, I wouldn't. There are plenty of other perks I would rather be using but I feel like I am stuck with them permanently in my builds because without them, the game is 4 minutes long. Do you know how boring it is to only have like 1 perk you can actually play with because the rest are required? I feel like I have to run Ruin, Pop and BBQ, so I have one perk slot left for "fun" perks and that's it. I hate it. I would much rather be able to craft different builds with works that work with each other, but as the game is now, it isn't feasible to do that at high ranks. The game will be too short and completely unfun.
3) Even if a few killers did pack them all on, so what? None of them stop you from doing gens, the ones we currently have are incredibly weak, and if the devs did do something to prolong gen times then I'm sure they would work on the gen slow down perks anyway, so honestly that's just a bad argument in my opinion. The devs would NEVER let the game slide into killer sided territory for long. If something like that happened, they would fix it as fast as they nerfed Oni. A few forum posts from pissed off survivors and those perks would be nerfed to hell. But if they are genuinely unneeded because gens suddenly aren't ridiculously easy to complete in under a minute, then I wouldn't even care if they nerfed them all.
Dying Light and thana are good on certain builds. You stack them with other slow downs and it could pretty well do the work you fail to do, which is end chases sooner so gens don't get done. Maybe it is harder to get use out of them with your SWAT team red ranks but guess what, NOT everyone is red ranks and really good at the game. So yeah, it is a big deal.
Ruin and Pop is the current meta because people are not good at slowing down the game, myself included. Period.
And your last point added absolutely nothing to the conversation. Why nerf all the other perks for the sake of longer gen times. Same outcome. It isn't a solid solution. I agree with current fixing maps to be more balanced is the better solution.
-
Gen times are in a good place. If gen speeds increased ONTOP of all the slow down perks there are, survivors would never be able to get out of a match with POP/RUIN (the current meta) and thana, dying light. And if you think killers would be so kind as to not pack on more slow down perks, ontop of longer gen times, you can just look to forever Freddy. Once someone found out the formula to this obnoxious and boring build, it became so prevalent the devs had to step in to stop it. To change something as significant as gen speeds would mean reevaluating every gen slow down perk and add on in the game. It seems so simple, but it is not.
-
The people that you want to hear this, probably don't even have an account on here. Bring what you want, survivors will.
-
It's whatever your opinion is sided usually coinciding with which side you play most.

@FancyMrB said:
I don't think those perks are about 'erasing mistakes'. They help survivors survivor in certain situations... and those situations don't always happen or killer plays around them... which makes them a wasted perk slot most times.
Dead Hard is the easiest one to deal with and often messes up the survivor. Bait it out or watch them run into trees and walls with it.
Always assume DS and use the downed survivor as bait. You can also just leave them and force someone to go pick their butt up.
Unbreakable is easy to deal with. Its one and done. They still need to SC or find someone to heal them.
BT is very easy to avoid.
Adrenaline is the one I hate the most, but if goes off and 3+ survivors remain it was mostly likely an L for the killer anyways.
On the flip side killers have a ton of perks that can been seen as second chances or mistake erasers. Yes Noed is the obvious one but I see that more as the survivors messed up and didn't do bones.
Pop helps control generators, Enduring and Spirit Fury let you play risky at loops. Fire up is litterally a bonus for NOT controlling gens. Whispers tells you if someone is in the area if you are bad at finding people. Discordance is a beacon to two or more survivors. Etc.
Tldr; survivors have second chance perks to help them in tight situations and killers have a ton of perks that make up for their flaws as well.
And the biggest one of all bloodlust. No perk slot needed.
-
Claudette has no shortage of clothing. Now good clothing is another debate. I haven't bought a thing for her since the urban outfit with the curly hair, hat, shorts, and boots.
-
People have said it took them 150-200hrs to finish the rift. Um... No thanks. I'm not grinding that hard. I'm just glad I didn't buy the battle pass.
-
@Fibijean said:
You mean kinda like NOED, Blood Warden, Cruel Limits, Enduring, Fire Up, Lightborn, Mad Grit, Nemesis, Remember Me, Rancor, Tinkerer or Unrelenting? Since if you're going to argue that Decisive Strike, Unbreakable and Dead Hard "erase" survivor mistakes, you could just as easily argue the same thing about anything that activates based on generators being done, being stunned or blinded, or missing an attack as a killer.
The point is, there is nothing wrong at all with second chance perks, or perks that are designed to lessen the penalty of player error. For either side. It's just another way of playing the game.
I just started writing a paragraph when I realized you covered everything I wanted to say.
-
Considering it is the least survived map for survivors I wouldn't say it is survivor-sided. The one perk that made really good loops was nerfed so there is that. It has more dead ends than Gideon's and more cut off points than Lery's. Almost all pallets are subject to bloodlust, and a killer lunge can reach you around most short pallet loops. Upstairs is a deathtrap and quite laughable. And what 'windows' are you talking about? I can think of one that you can't even loop more than once without an exhaustion perk like lithe. Also good luck if you encounter clown on that map. It's as miserable as doc on Gideons. The map looks cool but that's about it. You must be a looping God if you enjoy that deathtrap.
-
It was spirit at one time but honestly since her changes its been easier to fake her out when phasing. Ghostface has become a pain. Most of the ones I encounter camp the first hook and stalk anyone who comes to save. When I'm playing solo my team never catches on, or he crouches in the tall grass, stalks and one hit downs you. Because of GF I have started running spinechill.

Only because spirit kills you everytime your against her lol
And you drew that conclusion from where? Spirit because she is boring, most of the players tunnel off hook, and half her success has nothing to do with skillful plays, two of her perks allow for one-shots and her map is sh*tty.
-
Easy. Without Ace and Spirit.
-
Op you used to be able to grab people jumping into hatch but now that killers can close it, keys have become a lot more common. I don't see the problem with them. I rarely use them and yes as killer I have had them used against me. Same with moris. Keys rarely show up in my bloodweb, but ultra rate bulbs and bnps unfortunately do. Also you may see more keys now because of the rift challenges and also the ner f to medkits. At the moment they are the best ultra rares to use.

I think i got a cure for your sickness, play killer for a while. I'm sure after the third blackpip because of a hatch escape in a row you'll change your opinion.
Who actually wants to get into red ranks?
-
Kindred doesn't increase brain power unfortunately. Being able to see what your team is or isn't doing has always been triggerworthy.
-
There has been an increase in keys since the closing of the hatch that came with EGC. Plus bnp, and medkits were nerfed, so keys are on the chopping block now. As far as moris, I have always heard a rumble about them on the forums. I suspect they will become more common too now that DCs are being punished.

Except auto aim has a tendency to hit the one on the hook, allowing the saver to escape too.
Then when the one hooked gets down still hit the saver. If you have Noed neither of them should get any distance from you when you are right on top of them. Also, are you talking about a hook tech? From what I hear it is no longer working.
-
Overrated: Self-care I think that's been covered about 10 times already.
Underrated: Detective's Hunch Maybe I have a bias maining Tapp but I have saved my team several times from NOED or Devour with this perk. I don't even run around looking for hex ruin. I just power through a gen and look around. It also helps finding chests, and stopping the three gen strat before it starts. Also pairs well with Inner Strength.
Underrated: Empathy: Tells you the information of Better Together, Bond, Alert, and Object of Obsession so as long as your teammate is injured while doing a gen or running from the killer. You know where to go if you have a healing build or you can see what gen they were chased off of so you can finish it or join them if they are not in chase.

Borrowed time is not a problem until the end of the game. If NOED bypassed it, it would be infinitely more fair. If they did their job and cleansed the totems, they deserve the escape, if not, they deserve to get downed.
I already said head on is not OP, UNLESS you have SWF, because they can coordinate the stuns. Annoying, sure, but not OP in solo. I consider brutal a tie and ruthless a win. However, when I'm going against toxic little turds, I don't care anymore and the only thing on my mind is killing them, depip be damned.
This was not about who was better, this was about a bully squad. Survivors can't handle not escaping, so they whine and get OP crap like BT. Killers get nothing and are expected to like it.
NOED doesn't need to bypass BT. You can hit the saver and down them in any health state, then hit the one with BT and unless they are hooked next to the gate, catch up to them in time to down them. At worse it is a trade.

I was that Feng as well. Killer in was better at though it took me awhile to start going against good survivors say rank 15ish. Than I was destroyed got on the Ruin train. Few months later relearned killed without Ruin.
Only started playing killer about 4 months ago. I don't really like playing killer as I rather save people off the hook than put them on it, but I wanted to get into the mind of a killer to become a better survivor. As a killer that doesn't really care about killing I focus on learning mindgames and survivor thinking patterns. I also wanted to know the capabilities and weakness of every killer. It wasn't until I started playing hag that I really understood her add-ons and their potential.
