  • Maybe edit the title to fix it (Badham Preschool).

    I've searched for "badham" and found no result so I've posted another bug report. ^_^;;

It varies per grade. The higher you are, the more emblems you need. That's yet another aspect that makes the killer adepts infinitely harder to get than the survivor ones.

    Ok, thanks.

  • I thought the rule was : 3 iri 1 gold minimum

  • That would be one option.

Making the selection instant and automatically fill the shortest/cheapest path to reach what we've clicked would be another.

We waste to much time on that thing.

Really only played there once, but second floor felt like absolute hell to see anything, and the ground around the map has too much "visual polution", made it kinda troublesome for me to follow some scratches and bloods. First impression is that I didn't like it too much.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2987699#Comment_2987699

Heard some people saying this too. I found it lacking on lockers on some huge zones of the map that include generators and totems, made it pretty much impossible to control these zones as Dredge, and I can only imagine the pain for Huntress and Trickster, but other than that and the visual polution, it seemed fine overall.

    Exactly.

I got it in three games. First game, 4k. One pip short. Second game, 3k. One pip short. Third it was earned.

That fellow above who claimed earning adept was a hack is being a troll.

Obviously, and should be ignored as such.

  • The map isn't nice with most killers I suspect.

  • At the same time, tonight most survivor teams were rushing.

I ended up having to play very harshly (tunneling with a side of camping when it was suitable) to counter that.

After a few hours of that regime, getting against yet another BNP/parallel gens team I've switched to play something else. (After some threshold, tunneling survivors gets stale..)

Ngl, i didnt even realize you can teleport back to the husk, so i was a literal basic m1 boi LOL

    ^_^

To be fair, I had played a few matches in the PTB and I still vaguely remembered that feature did exist.

    Got it first try lel,

Idfk what im doing when i was playing as him, was more confused than ever

Yes, I cannot count how many times I've done a different teleportation than the one I wanted to do xD.

But my opponents were not very experienced, so a basic grasp of its anti-loop and playing it "M1" were more than enough to get it.

Yeah or maybe it’s a bug that doesn’t always come into play?

That screenshot isn't proof of anything. The emblems screen is. (edit: funny, it looked like a screenshot the first time)

I'm having one guess about the issue (assuming the video is legit) but given the rude accusation, I don't think explaining is worth my time.

This, would be closer to a kind of proof:

    image.png image.png image.png

Merciless, 4 iridescent, 3 Dredge perks used only.

  • image.png

In two matches (I just got lucky).

  • He is decent but there are already survivors who have found how to handle his anti-loop.

It has only been out for about five hours.

bro i got reported 4x yesterday on bubba because i found survivors from scratch marks who were bolting all over the map, the dude insisted i was a cheater and his entire swf reported me for it. even though 2 of them escaped. have you seen this community, we will ALL be banned for no reason

Yes, survivors lacking any game sense calling you a cheater is pretty common.

_ "How did you find me?"

_ I'm playing Huntress, you almost gave me an heart attack.

Was Nightfall active? Starstruck only activates in your TR and I don't think you'd have one in Nightfall

    Was this during nightfall?

    I guess it's possible, thanks.

(How do I mark a post as answered? I think it's possible.)

  • I got the adept at my second try, and I'm currently at rank 1 (meaning it's harder). Granted, there is a luck factor in play.

I find his power adequate for loops. Decent survivors have already integrated it but it forces them to think fast and take a risk, so it's good enough.

His map traversal is another advantage, even if survivors can slow it down.

  • I kind of enjoy the Dredge.

I don't know how it looks from the other side yet though.

  • @Xernoton said:

I developed some simple rules for myself:

    1) You use Dead Hard? Don't expect me to be nice in any way towards you. If I see my chance to slug, camp or tunnel you out to get the upper hand I will absolutely do that.

    2) You go all clicky clicky or teabag me? Have fun watching the rest of your team slowly get dissolved until you go down and get BMed yourself.

    3) You try to force your DS on me? Buddy, that little thing was your last line of defense. I will literally throw the game just to kill you now idc.

    4) You are afk at the start of a match? I will give you a slap. If you don't get back until the birds are circling over you I'll down you.

    5) You use your BT to bodyblock me and prevent me from going after the unhooker? Since you obviously don't wanna leave my side I'll grant you your wish, wait out BT and down you, maybe even eat your DS or straight up hook you again.

    6) If you play good and fair all game, don't do anything of the above and didn't bring an insane item I might just give you the hatch or sometimes even reward you and your team with the gate.

These rules are wise, especially #2.

I returned recently after my elden ring vacation, what i feel from killer matches is that it seems to be even more wild randomly. In 2 matches I can get a 4man swf with coordinated perks, offerings and items, and then get genrushed on a match with 3-4 hooks, and the next one is an absolute massacre at 5 gens. it's too much an all or nothing scenario sometimes, and winning/tieing/losing those don't reflect my satisfaction levels on them, both getting stomped and stomping feel kinda sad. and then you can have perfect mmr match-ups with 2 deaths 8/10 hooks and still be frustrated because the survivors that died are the ones who didn't bring the s tier perks, which when observed consistently, brings an issue on game balance, and not mmr. The usage of the stronger killer/survivor loadouts is directly tied to higher mmr, to a level where not asking about game balance on a mmr survey seems to be a missed shot. Killers like Otzdarva and SpookyLoopz very rarely meet survivors without full loadouts with at least 2 "meta" perks on their builds. And Survivors on high mmr are completely tired of playing against Alchemy Ring Tinkerer Pop Blights abusing hug sliding techs.

Funny, my pause was in Elden Ring too ^_^

I'm using a wider range of killers, although mostly Nurse and Huntress. I'm not too good with Blight so with me they are spared on that front.

I usually can handle a good SWF but it's tiring. That's why getting an easier match feels good to me. I just keep myself from stomping them while I breathe a bit. (The only notable complain I got was from a team so foolish the last unhooked survivor both finished a gen instead of unhooking and followed-up by summoned the Cenobite : there are limits to playing nice)

I've recently started to play without any addon nor perk and I still get strong teams (in the several thousands of hours range). Survivors tend to be carried by some of their perks, granted, so of course there will be more survivors using these at high MMR. I expect there will be some change about this after the announced 40 perks rework.

  • As survivor, I really don't appreciate when my teammates are being rude to a killer.

They usually get their due though.

You know what I find funny? As many others players, sometimes I go in a killer match just to do a daily or just to do some experiment : killing survivors and "winning" isn't my priority. Sometimes also, I immediately evaluate my opponents as lacking experience and I lose interest as I have no pleasure winning against them. I'll usually play clumsy for a bit and maybe kill only two. I'll even go as far as slugging No-Mither survivors if I feel they need another chance. (Not only because of the rift)

In many of these matches though, some survivors misunderstand the situation and take that as a signal to tease, be rude or to bully.

Strangely, it happens even more often if I play a clumsy Nurse (my main). This alone tells you how foolish they tend to be.

Weak or not, I can't help but answer to a challenge and they usually don't like the remainder of the match one bit. Often, by the time they realize the next few hits weren't dumb luck, they are all dead*. Sometimes they even never understand, if I judge by the salt in the end game chat. xD

TL/DR : One thing to keep in mind is that survivors have expectations about what the killer is trying to do. Somehow they don't expect his only goal may be to out-troll and out-bm them. That means being patient and doing what's the most annoying thing to do. (e.g. NOT hitting the hooked one like a fool)

*) Especially if they bully as a group. Close targets are easier to kill.

  • @xfireturtlex said:

It seems they were focused on how sbmm effects player enjoyment and skill balance. I dont think they needed a survey for that. Its bad. Anyone thats stuck in solo q hell knows its bad. (currently im stuck in a place where the game thinks im good enough to carry an entire match, so i get strong killers and teammates that act like its their first match. Every time.) I would like them to get more feedback on the kinds of things you mentioned if they do future surveys.

Even putting a text box at the end of this survey that asked why you did or didnt have fun couldve been very helpful.

I agree solo queue is far from ideal. It works maybe 40% of the time in my experience.

As for the killer side, it's generally better since the last changes. I still get very experienced teams (above 3k hours and up to the 5 digits range) but it's offset by way easier games so I can breathe a bit.

Before the change it was way more intense. I ended-up making a pause.

  • Maybe they are the right questions. you just don't know what they intend to get from the answers.

  • @cheetocultleader said:

I was also wondering this, so I hope it's alright to bump up a thread from the grave. I've updated all of my usual characters and just have 2 killers I need to get to 50. So, to prestige Feng, or just wait is the question. If the rewards are good enough I wouldn't mind grinding her out real quick, but if it's like... a hat? I'm gonna be a little disappointed, lol.

What I've done is P3-ing all the killers I barely use so I don't lose a total of several thousands of perks.

  • @Xernoton said:

I agree. I like playing killer with only 2-3 perks from time to time like Doctor with BBQ, Lethal Pursuer and Zanshin Tactics. I also unequipped pretty much all gen defense. It doesn't help and I'm better of applying pressure by finding and downing survivors faster. Also it feels so much more achieving when you beat a full SWF with the best perks and strong items on a survivor sided map as Hillbilly without addons and only with BBQ and Shadowborn.

Oh yes. I can imagine. I don't think could win a difficult match with Billy.

    @BenOfMilam said:

At first, yes. But even going against players in the high-thousands range is fun.

I was joking but I understand what you mean. You can accomplish the same by not running any gen or healing slowdown perks. This alone will give them an edge and is an expression of skill. I also favor not using add ons as any blood points earned are pure profit.

I remember there was a rule about points and what you bring in the game. I can't remember though.

    @Brokenbones said:

I play a lot of my killers addonless, not because I think addons or busted or anything - I just like relying on the power at its base level and my mastery of it. I've been playing a lot of addonless Artist and she's still really good

Some killers suck without addons though

Yes, I don't like using addons in general either, unless I'm doing an experiment.

I simply don't use the killers that suck too much without add-ons.

  • EU, CET.

16:00 to 18:00 survivors are mostly on the casual side. (Less than 1k hours)

18:00 to 22:30 survivors are mostly on the strong side. (1.5 to 12k hours)

22:30 to 01:00 survivors are mostly extremely weak. (Less than 500 hours)

    Notes:

I usually play survivor until 19:00 so I have less matches to look at during these times.

The number of hours is only loosely correlated with how strong a team is.

I still get extreme teams (weak or strong) at any time. It's the amount that changes.

  • @IamFran said:

    I agree.

They ruined the MMR since the last changes, they did that only because tryhard players were complaining about getting very hard matches so they reduced the top MMR so we the average more casual ones are mixed and matched with that kind of people and this is making me have Vietnam flashbacks of the old rank system. I'm even considering staying afk some matches with some killer and losing for reducing my MMR like as usually did in the old rank system.

It have no sense to implement a change to benefit only the 10% of the player base.

This is a good change. If a top MMR killer only get hard matches, he tires then leaves. Then these top survivor teams get matched against slightly weaker killers and it snowballs and no killer plays anymore.

The only way to fix this is by balancing the game at the top.

It's my understanding that last point is in the queue.

  • With the new MMR, you are supposed to get more games against survivors of your "strength". However, it's probable that at the time you play, there are not enough experienced killers compared to survivors. Queues cannot be infinite so you may very well get teams way too difficult for you.

At the moment, there is little you can do to fix that, except maybe trying to play at a different time.

No disrespect to our community, but a lot of us are sheep. I truly believe Freddy & Spirit are still very good killers, but because they were nerfed- no one wants to use them any more. They are still viable in low-mid MMR (where the majority of our base is), yet seldom used.

You are right about that. However some of us tend to go against high MMR survivors (except late at night) and using these killers is just not an option.

I've never liked Freddy after his changes and I now Spirit has less information as a chaser than the one being chased. Why? Because apparently having to guess what the killer is doing and mind-gaming was too much.

I don't think I've versed a Spirit for a long time now. Too bad, it used to be fun and exciting to drop her during a chase.

  • The ones who are saying "do bones" are missing some crucial point.

When a survivor do bones, it's forever.

When a killer do bones, it's only temporary unless he wastes one perk slot. And the killer has always been the one fighting against time. Boons were supposed to be a third objective for survivors, not for killers.

My fix when I play killer is to tunnel the life out any survivor I see using a boon.

  • @Brokenbones said:

It's some kind of bug going on, I'm guessing it's a console crash issue or something?

Maybe, it's certainly the first time I've seen it though.

girl i do play her, and i eat up. perks like starstruck are too strong on her.

Wait until you don't play against beginners anymore. Starstruck is quite easy to counter and the survivor needs to be hit in the first place.

  • I'm getting 66% killer and 33% survivor dailies.

    I guess it's random.

  • Yup, these suck.

  • It reminds me, maybe at the same time survivors able to turn faster they can move (basically looking like a dead-hard) should be fixed too.

Exploiting the broken camera angle gets old sometimes.

  • That poor Nurse :)

Strong or weak, smashing a Nurse is no small feat though : kudos.

Now that is a blatant lie, unless you just haven't been playing the game.

There most recent, and only update did basically nothing other than remove animations canceling.

    List of bugs I've encountered

Survivor can't move if the demon possesses a car as soon as they enter.

Fallen under the map on multiple occasions.

Gotten stuck on rocks, sticks, and in-between trees

Gun turns into my melee weapon and won't shoot

Gun randomly just stops letting me shoot

Can't interact with specific chests, items, or traps

Demon gets stuck inside a house if forced out of possession

Drinks and uses up multiple shemps but won't heal

Projectile weapons randomly decide to go threw enemies without dealing damage.

That's not to mention absolutely asinine design choices

Completing an objective will exorcise a demon even if they're 500 yards away

Completing an objective will heal bleeding out survivors and bring fully dead ones back to health regardless of distance

    Knee high obstacles are impassable

Headshots hitbox don't line up with enemy models

No option to changes sensitivity, fov, resolution, control mapping, motion blur, ect

Aim assist is literally an aimbot on console. It follows enemies through wall and snaps onto them. 2 big problems: it's a horrible aimbot that lags behind moving enemies, so you're constantly fighting it. And the other issue is that it doesn't lock onto possessed teammates. Cant disable it btw

Survivors can block off the necronomicon with broken cars, making it impossible to destroy

Demons can drive over a dead survivor, break the car, and make it impossible to revive them

Survivors can split objectives with 0 risk

Survivors can abuse the ######### out of cars making it nearly impossible to catch up to, let alone kill survivors

and that's just what I've had to deal with, I've seen plenty other examples of game breaking bugs and dog doodoo mechanics

It is a fun game, absolutely, but it's a FarCry from a perfect or even decent game

Wow, I believe you've got even more than I did (not that many mind you).

Their game need serious improvements. The split-on-objective and win is absolutely ridiculous. (Reminds me of some other design issue in another game ...)

  • I've played both games.

Both are very fun as survivors/teens.

I don't enjoy the demon role in ED. I find it very boring.

I don't enjoy the monster roles in VHS. At high level (say, 70 and more) it's way too tiring and difficult. I could never play more than 3 games in a row.

  • You mean after the laugh?

It really depends on how strong the remaining ones are. Most of the time I'll kill two after trying to maximize the hooks/saves/heals and give one hatch.

  • @foxsansbox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/326245/is-it-too-much-to-ask-to-not-go-body-block-a-loop-when-the-killer-is-not-after-you

If I was playing killer and noticed this I would immediately slug the offending survivor and make sure they spent as much time as humanly possible not playing the game while his team racked up BP's. I hope the killers in your game had some situational awareness.

    Also: Survivors be stupid.

The first time, the killer downed the idiot right after me.

The second time the fool fled.

I almost hope to catch a survivor doing it when I'm killer. He will pay for everyone else ...

  • I kind of love when they do that. Sometimes one of them rage-quits as soon as he hears the first blink.

  • I took Claudette because at the time the game used to be way darker than it is now.

    Then Ormond happened ... xD

    Not entirely.

You don't lose gained Bloodpoints mid-trial for any reason, whereas you can lose progress to your Emblems by playing poorly.

It's entirely possible to stay in a match long enough to perform enough actions to maximise your score categories, while also losing progress to your Emblems by repeatedly losing chases, getting hooked, stuff like that.

So not finding 3 of the survivors in about 80 seconds while chasing another one I found 30 seconds into the game is playing poorly? ^_^

I guess skills starts by not being sent in a big map ;)

Oh, and not being in the iridescent ranks.

And then, next game I'm having almost the same match but only 31700 points and I got two pips (but this time I went full gen regression).

I'm not discussing the mechanic by the way. It's the fact that you can have an high score and not the maximum amount of pips.

The score should be lower to reflect that.

    @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979486#Comment_2979486

    Is it?

you get benevolent points for unsafely unhooking, you get chasing points for dull totems. Neither of those contribute to pip/grade and give actually plenty of points. There is examples for probably any category in both sides.

I should probably have mentioned it's as killer.

I getting 32000 points as survivor is extremely rare (for me). My typical ceiling is around 26000.

I am just guessing based on what i know at this point, so my words are not definitive. (I am not trying to do your/there jobs, just trying to help).

A approximation will likely be void, as there will be no figure to type in and trace/refer to the exact match to in order to pull up the game details/replay. If you put a approximation with no exact figure, you could have multiple games in the same ball park of approximate figures.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979288#Comment_2979288

I would assume so. As long as you make seven correct surveys, i would say that no matter what happens at the end, you have grounds to dispute getting the rewards. It says "try to do 7 consecutive surveys", it does not say "you must". I will assume that once 7 correct surveys are done, that is it for both ends.

Thanks, I guess I'll see with the "reward" count when it'll happen.

    Quick question Mandy :)

I just had 2 games which the first killer DC before the match loaded and the other one took like 10 mins to load so I alt F4 the game, do I need to redo the survey or do those games not count? :)

The survey only works if you fill the form with the end-match result. ( https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DBDPostMatch )

1 … 57 58 59 60 61 … 83
