No, you're confusing arrogant with good. Arrogant survivors will blindly step on a trap because they're too busry looking at you.
And, no, Plague is one of the strongest killers in the game and she suffers on cowshed the least of any killer except Spirit or Nurse. Or perhaos Demogorgon now that Barbs Glasses exist. You clearly do not understand where I'm coming from - I'm not a killer main.
I'm going to go ahead and return to the fact that you think kicking and patrolling gens is an effective strategy - it's not, that's exactly what survivors want you to do. You're not only wasting time, you're giving free gen time that isn't recouped by your power or gameplay. That kind of playstyle leads to gens being finished in 3 minutes.
ok, dude. i don't know what to say to you. not a word i'm saying is going in, and you're sitting there barking me down instead of discussing things.
you are not correct about multiple things. let me know when you wish to engage in a conversation instead of Saying Things In My Direction.

Question to higher Rank Killers: When did it all start getting better? Did you have a moment where it clicked, or did you use a certain Killer when you were new? Do you drink copious amounts of vodka when playing to tolerate it? Thanks in advance.
umm... hmm, difficult question.
whenever i find myself being particularly frustrated by something the survivors are doing, i'll switch killer to one that counters that problem.
example - i was playing a lot of plague, but i kept getting hookbombing survivors like you're describing, and they weren't cleansing anywhere that i could take advantage of, so i had no power. i switched off of plague and onto ghostface, to get instadowns and to hunt / stalk survivors rather than letting them get the drop on me and be able to plan around me. but on ghostface, i got fed up of survivors being really good at running loops, their teammates revealing me when i'm trying to stalk someone, and generally his terrible chase game, so i switched to trapper and now i trap the loops and windows well in advance before even starting. when i get fed up of survivors disarming my traps, i'll probably switch to someone new, and find a new problem that annoys me.
i guess what i'm saying is, as you rank up and different strategies become prevalent and successful, one thing that's helped me a lot is switching to a killer that's specifically good at dealing with that problem, or preventing it from occuring in the first place. i don't think it's a smart or right move to necessarily bog yourself down with a specific "main" that you stick with at all times, rather i think it's efficient to recognise what strategy is frustrating you and then choosing a killer which automatically prevents that strategy from occuring or being successful.
in general, though, i grew less frustrated with survivors when i started recognising that they are players trying to have fun just like i am, and sometimes it's going to be at my expense. i remember, back when i used to play HotS with some friends, there was this map called Blackheart's Bay. and i remember in a bunch of cases i was assigned to the bottom lane of that map, which was nigh ungankable and basically guaranteed to have a bad time if the opponent in that lane was a lane bully. but they said to me, "sometimes you have to have a bad time for the greater good. sometimes you have to fight a losing battle as best as you can so that we can win later." i know it's not fully applicable to DbD since you're on your own as the killer, but i think that it's really changed my outlook on pvp games in that you should never really give up because it just means that you're never going to get any better. you'll never adapt and overcome the hurdles if you refuse to try to jump just because you fell last time.
i think that even if you lose the match horribly, you can take advantage of the fact it's still going and practice something you've never done before. knowing that nothing's on the line, why not try a mindgame you've never attempted previously? why not try guessing what the survivors are doing? why not try predicting what specific people are doing, and where you'll find them, based on information available? try to make improvements to your game in ways that you can use later, when you're in a tense match and it's all to be decided.

I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but this has very little to do with specific killers. And especially not Trapper, you aren't catching anyone but really bad or really arrogant survivors on that map. His traps are extremely visible no matter where you put them, and on top of that you have to take the time to place them, which is free gens.
However, to humour you, I'm mostly playing Survivor on that map, that's for some reason a map I get sent to a lot. I'm also a Plague main, a former Blight main, and I played a lot of Trapper on the last few months. Mostly with padded jaws and no bag.
the... the really arrogant ones are the exact type we're describing, aren't we? the ones that play super optimally and won't settle for anything less than a 0k?
and yeah, i know trapper is free gens. my games start at 3 gens, sometimes they start at 2 or 1 gen remaining lmao. that's just the nature of the beast, but i've gotta do my prep, y'know?
i can see why you say the things you do as a plague main though. she is just... oof. it's so easy for every plate she's spinning to just fall all at once and cowshed in particular is really prone to that.
-
i really want to like and play twins more but i legit feel like they're designed solely to slug, which is a playstyle that i just don't find fun.
the cooldown has so little to do with it. even pre-nerf, i just couldn't bring myself to want to play them any kind of regularly because so much of their engagement ends with slugging.
i don't even want to slug! but it's just... the best decision at the time! it's like they've concocted a killer that's perfectly designed to massively snowball off of slugging and doing anything other than slugging is just a waste of your time and makes you lose.

I have 4K %60 of my matches. And maybe %4 - 5 of my matches 4 survivors escaping. I tnink i know enough playing killer. I have not problem with chases or killing them. Problem is i have to show more effort than survivors. When i chase one of them others on gens and safe. The guy who i chasing has god pallets and windows. So i have to be smarter than survivor for down early. Because maps force me do that, i have to show more effort. Maps are so safe for survivors and i can not say "game is balanced" because it is not. Maps are so much survside, gen times are also survside. So yes this game so much survside.
having to put more effort in is not indicative of game balance. there's 1 of you and 4 of them, you're only capable of interacting with 1 of them at a time, and the only way you can stress out multiple survivors is by killing some, which means the ones you've killed won't be stressed any more.
it's just... nothing to do with game balance.
there is a stress issue where good killers feel more stress than good survivors but i am nowhere near the realm of talking about something like that. seems impossible to fix without screwing survivors over really, really hard.

That is not how that map works. The fact that you even think kicking a gen... I'm sorry, but do you undersrand the concept of map pressure and pallet density?
If you play like that against any team that knows what they are doing, you lose. Hands down, no exceptions. You're kicking gens, for ######### sakes, that doesn't work outside of rank 10. Doesn't matter what map it is, but it especially doesn't work on Cowshed. There are too many strong loops all clustered together. It takes more than a minute to get 3-4 pallets in one little area just because the loops are simple and chainable, and once those pallets are gone there's still another 4 within running distance.
You want to patrol gens until the pallets are gone? That doesn't work on any map, not unless the survivors are some kind of potato-powered bots that finish than a gen a minute. You have no map pressure and they can hold W. Except on Cowshed they don't need to because there's still loops everywhere.
Maze tile into path pallet into shack into path pallet into maze tile into two junk tiles, and in the centre there's a Cow Tree that's always reachable that chains into a hay/junk tile that chains into another junk tile and also both into Cowshed itself that usually has a path pallet that chains into another maze tile that always chains into at least one but usually 2 strong filler pallets that chain back into the first maze tile and I haven't even touched the last corner yet, where there is another filler pallet or two that chain into a maze tile and often that maze tile chains into either a filler pallet or a path pallet back into Cowshed.
ok. this is where we get into the nitty gritty of "what killer are you playing?".
because for me, it's usually trapper. 3 gens have already gone, and the last 4 all have traps around them.
so yes, i'm kicking the generator, because by the time i'm done i'm going to hear a scream, and i'm going to calmly walk over and collect my survivor from the returns bin.
what killer are you playing?
-
@onemind said:
And here's counter points for your statement
gens can spawn in shack
All pallets are in play when a match starts
Everytime you get a warning that's what the terror radius is
No perks can go the other way. no dead hard or vault speed
Yes theres no one else to chase that's like saying your shooting someone else in a 1v1 on cod
Why do killers need set up time that's more time used before a chase
What do you mean by decision makeing
fine. i will type an entire novel.
a gen spawning in shack means either shack pallet or the shack gen is going. personally i let the shack gen go unless it's also a basement, in which case survivors never go there because they don't want to get basemented. good survivors won't hang around the basement against a killer where they don't know who it is yet. at the start of a game, my identity is probably secret unless i am playing as pig, plague, twins, or nurse. the risk of being instadowned by the basement at the start of the match is too great and will throw the match for my team, so i don't repair basement gen unless i know who the killer is and that's definitely not at the start of the match. hell, i'll never repair basement gen first, it's just common sense.
all pallets are in play when the match starts, which is why you force survivors to drop some and then move on. the killer's first objective is disrupting gens a little bit, and disrupting pallets a lotta bit. pallets are your goal for the first step of the match otherwise you'll never get anyone, and that's a fact. unless they're stupid and feed you a bunch of hits, but y'know, we're not talking about potato play.
good survivors don't come off the generator at the terror radius. they come off the gen for two reasons: 1) the terror radius is getting closer and closer. 2) spine chill is lit up. survivors relying on spine chill can be fooled into staying on the generator for longer by not looking directly at it, usually leading to a free hit. so, no, they don't get that much of a warning - they certainly don't get a missed melee attack at 15 meters lol.
the killer not having perks is much more devastating than the survivor not having perks. i don't know if you've noticed, but killer perks are hugely powerful and really instrumental, and survivor perks are like little boosts, with the exception of some perks. notably dead hard, which you've pointed out - being, in effect, an extra health state does in fact factor in. but do you think dead hard has a bigger effect than... i dunno, devour hope? noed? make your choice? do you think dead hard wins more time than pop goes the weasel or ruin costs? do you think dead hard is more powerful than nurse's blink? do you think dead hard is more powerful than huntress's hatchets?
yeah. there's noone else to chase. this is a huge and major and massive point that you seem to be glossing over? being able to pick your battles is key to being a good killer and knowing when to pick a different one can get you huge advantages and momentum. the 1v1 forces you into the 1v1, so you don't get to capitalise on good decision making. (this is what i meant by decision making, BTW)
killers need setup time because they need to... a) choose which direction they're going to push the survivor. survivors will run away from you, so you can take them into areas you've already cleared out in other, earlier chases. b) some killers actually have setup time, like myers, ghostface, trapper, hag, whatever. this setup time can end chases way earlier than if they hadn't set up. it's vital. you're glossing over a vital thing like it's not a big deal, it is.

You left survivor because he was good. You started chase another one. This guy said "killer is chasing me, go to my gen near to shack, finish it" SWF genrushed you and you still have one hook and 3 gens gone. Because of maps are survside. This video confirmed that. And video only shows one part of map. So yes sure
what about my killer power?
you post and post and post as if all the killer can do is walk around and stab people. killers have powers that are to be used to get an advantage. it's all fine and good to rattle off about all the things survivors can do, but name a specific killer and they'll have a strategy for it.
oh, it's hag? put traps around the gen and teleport back to it to hit survivors off of it.
oh, it's trapper? trap windows before approaching so they just die.
oh, it's nurse? lol
oh, it's spirit? lol lol
oh, it's blight? lol lol lol
oh, it's huntress? throw football denny
oh, it's trickster? throw football denny
this world that you describe where all the killer can do is just wander around hitting people does not exist. you talk about game balance as if the killer has no powers whatsoever and no capability to DO ANYTHING EVER and then you come into MY THREAD where i ask people not to post meme videos as if they have impact on the game and you start crowing. did you think this was an opportunity for you to wheel the survivor sided propagandamobile into my house like i wouldn't bite back? i ignore these things everywhere else because it's none of my business, but you bring that to MY house and i will kick you off the porch.

@MadLordJack said:
It actually bis pretty realistic when you factor in survivors not being completely stupid and actually leaving the generator to go to a loop.
No, actually, you're right. In a realistic scenario survivors would have a much easier time of it because instead of starting at the centre of the chain and only being able to effectively run half of it, they would start at the edge of the chain and work their way through the whole thing no matter how hard the killer tries to zone them.
Congrats. You have opened my eyes to how killer-favoured the 1v1 meme is. That really is the best case scenario for a killer on cowshed: the survivors starting on Shack and having to cut themselves off from half the map.
push survivor off gen -> kick gen -> make them drop pallet -> kick pallet -> go to other gen
repeat until you've taken out 3 or 4 pallets. maybe gotten in a hit or two.
after that, then you can chase to your black little heart's content, because they won't have any more chain to chain.
i swear. if the game really is the way you describe, then rank 1 killers can't exist, because they physically won't be capable of killing the survivors. tournaments wouldn't have any kills in them at all. and yet, they do! so, please explain to me how tournament level survivors still die.

3 survivors will work on gens. 1 survivor will loop killer with god pallets and windows. 1 minute later 3 gen done and you have 1 hook.
Yes game is not survivor side, sure
why are you chasing people for 80 full seconds uninterrupted if you're not getting hits
do you actually play killer? like, do you actually achieve kills as killer? or do you just boot it up, find the dude that ran to the exact center of the map because he specifically wanted to run you like an idiot, and then get run like an idiot for 5 minutes and then go "this game is so survivor sided #########" ❓
do you play killers that have chase-ending powers? or do you just pick ghostface and then go "well i'm a killer so i guess i'll chase!"

That killer theme music provides more motivation and spooks the survivors especially if they hear Deathslinger. Or give them tons of confidence if they hear Trickster theme. Definitely hard to balance killer themes.

It’s very annoying because this would never play out the way it does in the video in an actual match. Don’t use the video as proof it needs to be balanced because it’s not meant to show how broken or unbalanced a certain thing is, it’s just a meme/content for Otz to use.
people legit think that killers being in the worst, weakest possible situation the game has to offer and then not instadowning the survivor who they've given a super generous headstart to is indicative of the game being poorly balanced.
it's driving me crazy.

Killers don't always face camp because the survivor played scummy, there are lots of killers who face camp because the killer themselves like to play scummy. Don't insinuate that people who play killer can do no wrong, killers can be just as "toxic" as survivors can.

That's not how DbD works. At all. Survivors use resources to extend chases, and they very quickly run out of those resources no matter how good they are. An amazing survivor can make a chase last maybe 5-6 minutes agasint a mediocre killer. But that killer can still facecamp them to death and nothing the survivor did caused or could possibly prevent that because no matter what the survivor is going to go down.
Is that a good play from the killer? No, the killer was clearly garbage. But it doesn't change the fact that that survivor is dead through no fault of their own, and this is absolutely common at lower ranks. Killers taking petty kills because there's nothing survivors can do to stop them.
have the survivors ever considered going easy on a bad killer the same way killers sometimes go easy on bad survivors?
like. i get it. but if you've done something that's aggravated a bad killer to the point they actually will just kill you specifically and let everyone else leave, then i'm on the killer's side here. don't make people feel bad for trying and you won't get revenge camped.

She is strong, not OP.
Otherwise you would only see nurses everywhere.
Sure she can ignore basic loops, but when you use line of sights you'll make it harder for her.
You have to finally work to be able to escape instead of mindlessly loop a killer in the same way again, and again, and again, and again.
Now you really need to get in the head of the killer and force her to make mistakes.
Your reasoning sounds good but in reality it is pretty flawed.
You base your findings on what you've seen from someone else.
Someone who play a lot of nurse (from my understanding as I don't know that person), so yeah you can expect him to have only a 3% escape rate with nurse.
What do you think when you face me for example when I play wraith?
You get about the same percentage of escape rate.
Why?
Because I play that killer a lot and understand how to play him optimale and how to use his powers in the best way.
Even deathsquads have a very very hard time against me and most of the time don't even escape.
Does that make wraith also OP?
Nope not close, just because a person spent time learning a certain killer to use optimale, doesn't mean that that killer is suddenly OP.
It is normal that you have a very small chance to escape when you face a person who plays that killer a lot and is actually really good with that killer.
So getting to the point of it all, nurse doesn't need a rework of her powers or need a nerf.
some people don't want to play OP as hell characters, myself included. i'm playing trapper atm specifically because i don't have fun when i just dick on people all game with no chance of them doing anything except finding the hatch. the existence of people who play other characters has nothing to do with balance and i am so, so tired of people assuming that everyone else thinks winning is everything. some of us just like to play fair.
-
i don't think nurse stats are going to be reliable until MMR gets implemented
-
there's the eternal question.
"how come whenever i try to blind the killer it doesn't work, but then survivors can blind me from the back of my head?"
i don't know, dude. i just don't know. i've looked up tutorials on flashlight blinding and how to do it and it still eludes me. i just need to accept my status as a map and medkit guy.
-
hmm, i think from now on i'm going to try to be a little more conscientous about this and try to spread the bloodpoints around a little more.
-
1v1 on cowshed is not indicative of a real game. especially when it's both without perks and without powers. i wouldn't seriously try to use this video as evidence of anything.
in a real game, that chase would have ended at shack, because shack window would have been trapped at game start.
anyway. this is why i wanted the footage posted. so that i could say something along the lines of what @miketheratguy already said and try to communicate that if you are spending the whole match being mad at the survivors, you'll let them all escape, and then they'll be more likely to say something about it afterwards.
in my games, i go up against "toxic swfs" all the time. we all do. the difference is that i keep my cool, outplay them to my best, oftentimes getting a 4k, and then say "gg wp" and move on. not getting heated is key to not getting insulted. the better you play the more embarrassed they feel and if you take the high road on top it'll be more crushing than any insult you could say.
-
i do feel like it wouldn't be out of line for this perk to block the hatch as well. it's just not a very good perk anyway. it's like reverse corrupt but even easier because it's a big signal to the team for everyone to heal up and look for the noed (if you're running it with noed then... you deserve to get your noed cleansed tbh)
also hi tony!

OMG yeah I dusted off my Crapper last night and got the game first two match (without offering played) and just horrible. To bright now but I did get 2 different survivors with the same trap in the meat freezer on bottom floor. Third game was new coldwind at this point I'm just like ######### but got a few to vault right into some traps and ended with 11 kills in those 3 games regardless. Then had one haddonfield with the basement window spawn and I was soooo glad I was Crapper. This game hates me though.
i actually had a SUPER good time on The Game just a minute ago. you know that one stairway up to the meat grinder that you can vault through? a trap at the top of those stairs is so powerful if that generator isn't completed. survivors don't tend to use their health state to push past you into safety, they want to conserve it so they go up the stairs and get caught in the trap almost automatically.
when they've fallen for it a couple of times, i'll pick the trap up and then vault down, then put it at the bottom of the vault instead. survivors will check for the trap, see it's not there, get on the gen, i'll show up, they'll run up the stairs thinking it's safe and vault into the meat grinder... 👌👌👌
-
loads of really good tips so far! i'm doing my best to soak up all this info and i'm also trying to forbid myself from using the basement as it quickly became a huge crutch and my matches started becoming very same-y. so far the snowballing has been hilariously fun. once i get the ball rolling there really is just no stopping it, i've never known another killer to be completely unrecoverable. i think improvement is going to be getting the ball rolling much quicker.
and yeah, letting the first two gens pop is pretty crucial. the time definitely gets made up later on. it really feels like trapper needs the match to tighten down to just a few gens to really shine.
i think trapper will help me be a better survivor. i'm trying to learn to identify strong loops by sight alone, which i feel like is a skill that's going to translate well when i get bored and play more dwight.
i don't play killer to win, i play killer to have fun. i just also tend to win. that's why i pick the super hard ones and the ones people say are bad, like plague and trapper!

@[Deleted User] said:
i would say trap grasses but the new grasses on reworked maps are bad for traps now
the basic always good tips are: trap god windows and pallets, trap around corners of loops for unpredictability, and very tight corridors so they can't sidestep the trap. i don't think trapper is a good killer, because his traps are so easy to counter, and there's not much trapper can do about it (because he can't be in 4 places at once) so don't feel bad about losing.
he's good at camping in a 3 gen setup especially with a hex totem in that 3 gen setup. use corrupt intervention, prepare your game plan and traps, trap the hex totem and the loops near the generators and the hooked survivor, and you'll have to proxy camp but it's fine because you're playing trapper and without addons.
i never feel bad about losing! i actually try to pick the killers that are hard to play on purpose because i like the handicap. played a lot of wraith before the buff (another hyper aggressive killer... guess i have a type.)

yep, definitely not going to be fixed. they're definitely not working on a new matchmaking system that they're definitely not putting a lot of time, thought and effort into to make sure that it works well out the gate. that's why it's definitely not taking them a while. in fact, they've just chosen not to finish it ever and didn't tell us. clearly.

On the flip side... I wouldn't save Yun-Jin. I 100% she is responsible for a lot of the Trickster's murders. Her lore straight up says she knew, she just didn't care. Anything to further her career.
I also wouldn't save Trickster (or Ghostface, they are essentially the same character) since they probably enjoy being there.
bill absolutely doesn't want to be saved. he lives for this stuff, you kidding me? if he read your post he'd slap you silly.

It makes you completely silent against even Stridor.
it also makes you die to every other killer in the game
so, y'know. not really viable, since the game doesn't tell you which killer you're up against.

But we already have someone with claw hands....
you're gonna say that while using myers as an icon? how many killers use a knife in this game, dude.

i'm just waiting for the footage. post it up baby! include the chat after the game.

leatherface will never get into dbd. his weapon is just too similar to hillbilly's. wraith will also never get into dbd, his weapon is too similar to trapper's. legion will never get into dbd, his weapon is just too similar to myers's. oni will never get into dbd, his sword weapon is too similar to spirit's. twins will never get into dbd, her weapon is too similar to nurse's. trickster will never get into dbd, his weapon is too similar to oni's club.
there's two things that i don't understand. 1) the insistence that it just can't be any particular character, when you know and i know damn well that it could be any character, and 2) the idea that characters get into dbd based on what they use to hit people with.

plague is probably least picked because she's really hard to get into, but a good plague wrecks shop.
she's like if spirit had a difficulty curve. she's like if nurse could be looped. she is so strong, but she's also hard af to play, so people who try to get into her just get beat and then play something easier.
nothing to do with how strong she is, given she's super strong.

Big thanks! That helped me a lot... I think... I'm losing framerates a lot while recording.... By the way, the last game 2:15:40 was as wraith, I 4k-ed but still feeling I messed some stuff up, bless you if you could give me any advice on that... 😅
when it comes to wraith he's pretty mindless now. he's literally so fast that it's really hard not to score hits, even if you do the most obvious things in the universe. all i can say is that the mistakes that are universal remain universal here.
2:17:12 it takes you a while to down this elodie because she's looping tight and you're looping wide. hug the corners closer to actually close distance.
2:19:46 you have two players on hooks in close proximity and you don't patrol at all. hooking two survivors is where you can start snowballing with constant hook trading. you can even slug for the 4k in this situation if you're lucky, or have the right info perks.
2:21:21 misuse of info, you see people healing up with nurse's but they finish healing before you're in a position to properly go for them. it would've been better to get yourself into a position where you're cloaked, like after hooking the jane, so that you then get all your speed bonusses and you can score the hits much easier. elodie ends up taking you for a ride here while jane gets picked up, since you left a slug in proximity of her teammates (and you knew they were there). this ultimately causes the team's full reset at 2:22:48.
2:23:38 same mistake, you down one girl and then see two more on nurse's and go into pursuit. thankfully it works out because the feng runs over to where her slugged teammate is at the same time you do, but this should have been a waste of time.
2:24:31 is basically GG. all survivors accounted for, one on hook and two down. recovering from this is going to be nigh impossible, and now it's gonna be all about cleanup speed.
the last two survivors are nearby and you don't patrol your basement hook which is unfortunate, then you're not there to catch them as they leave. this is gonna cut into that cleanup speed.
2:27:29 good use of those ol' Hears. stopped following the blood and started following the footsteps which ends the hunt extremely quickly. the subsequent chase is taking a while but i don't think there's anything you can do to shorten it. knowing she has a flashlight, you can't cloak and uncloak specifically to get the ambush because she can lightburn you. this is just going to go until she runs out of stuff.
2:28:41 remember what i said about TL walls? this is the same thing (two windows facing each other). eventually you cut across the middle which forces her to leave, but the entity also blocked one of the windows which double forced her to leave. again though there's no way for you to have taken my critique onboard before this game so it's fine, i'm just pointing it out for next time.
ultimately for wraith there's no real tricks or strategy to him any more, you just hit people until they die. it's a shame how his new lunge distance means they basically have to run sprint burst to avoid your hits because it kind of took all the fun of popping out from around corners away. mistakes made on him are going to be super minor and they're going to be mistakes that'll appear on other killers since his skill ceiling is so low.

any information we learn about MMR will end up exploited by people in some fashion, so we won't get any.

This wasn't just 'one bad game' this is a pattern I see with the many pig players I've come across.
The RNG aspect of her power is simply unenjoyable and I can't think of a single way it's healthy for the game. Especially when you consider things like addons and map offerings.
I'm not saying she's strong, though. Just extremely irritating and not fun to play against
that's valid critique, i think. killers ultimately should be fun to play against in a setting where everyone is of roughly the same level, and i'm sorry that pig across the board doesn't seem to be doing it for you. perhaps you could play some games as pig and it might shed some light on how to deal with her better, so that she can at least be less irritating?

Yeah but the difference is other killers don't have a thing that will auto-kill you if you don't go around and do boxes
Which the pig can see
Which means you're an extremely easy slugging target
It's not the case of "well just don't do the boxes/don't do the ones close to the killer" when RNG will dictate whether or not you can even do that.
i'm just not understanding where you're coming from here.
the pig has a thing that autokills me if i don't run around doing boxes. she can see me doing it. which means i'm an easy slugging target. which means the thing that's autokilling me isn't going to kill me because it gets disabled as soon as she looks at me. so there's no point to her putting it on me in the first place because her playstyle is to tunnel and slug people out of the game? which means there's no point in her playing pig in the first place because she's not making the most of her strengths and is actually just kind of mashing her weapon and power at survivors indiscriminately.
which, yeah, it sounds like a bad game. and i'm sorry you had a bad game against a bad pig. but does her whole concept need to be changed because people who don't understand the nuance of the game are using her in, arguably, the least effective way possible? when she's not doing anything that can't be done on, say, doctor? or legion? or anyone else that's good at locating survivors?

A lot of pig players usually don't care that you have a trap, they'll go back to the hook and slug you straight off the hook then chase your teammates
And they'll keep slugging you until they re-hook you or you've wasted too much time on boxes
ok... but that's just an unfun playstyle that isn't specific to pig. every killer can do that.
