Im glad that you are the default and not an exception. What ever will we do without our god and master of all killers Steel_Eyed the red rank god who totally wins every game and 4ks all the time.
If you're actually good at the game, you'll mostly 3 and 4k honestly. It really isn't difficult to go on long win streaks.
You sound like you lost and now you're mad at the game instead of actually accepting the fact maybe you did something wrong. That's what 90% of people on these forums do anyway so I won't be surprised if that's the case.

They would bleed out before the collapse timer killed them. Bleed out time is 3 mins base i believe and collapse is 2 mins but if someone is downed/hooked it goes 50% slower.
I think bleed out is 4 mins.

Learn to make a read...
All of these posts literally read to me as "x killer doesn't give me all of the information I need and ample warning to absolutely negate what they're doing, therefore killer boring, no counter play"
Meanwhile survivors that know what they're doing know how to force shots they can predict and dodge preemptively, making the Slinger miss. It becomes a mind game where the Slinger player needs to predict how the survivor is going to move so he lands his shot, and the survivor needs to be very mindful of their positioning and then make reads on when Slinger is going to have to shoot in order to try and make him miss. However, the skill of the killer actually makes a difference because it matters how good they are at making the shot, it's not just up to the survivor to dodge.
It's actually kinda both funny and depressing seeing how many people absolutely hate killers that don't chase normally and who require different considerations and strategies from the survivor.
You can't dodge or react to a shot. A human can't react fast enough to flat out dodge a shot from a Slinger. The only thing you can do is hope the Slinger misses. And yes, you can make your odds better of him missing and force yourself into better positions, but he isn't like Huntress where she has a punishment for holding a hatchet. He can zone by just existing and can ads spam to force distance loss or get speared. I've put an ungodly amount of hours into him, and there isn't much a survivor can do against a Slinger who is good.

No one forces you.
Unlike killers that are forced to take 2 perks to even have the slightest chance against gen rushers.
I've literally ran Corrupt as my only "gen defense" for almost a year now and never felt forced to take 2 perks to have a chance to win against people who want to push gens.
The real issue with the Ruin-Undying-Tinkerer combo is solo queue. You're severely underestimating how unbelievably bad solos are, and that's why the combo is a problem in solo queue.

All of the videos and streams that get people's attention are of survivors bullying the killer. This is how the game is monetized; i don't mean this in a way like I'm schooling you - I think you understand this. I guess I am just stating the obvious. The remaining killers that play, play because of the usnk cost fallacy. They've invested enough time to warrant dealing with the nonsense... but when BHVR releases another game, we will see if those same players latch on to their next franchise. I'm sure the survivors will, who doesn't want to bully a single player with friends, that's not on your team? Kinda funny when you think about it, that some of BHVR's proceeds go to help mental health research, yet we currently have a epidemic of teens committing suicide due to online stalking and bullying... aaaand this game might contribute to similar behavior.
Survivor loop pallet and press control. They bully me!!
In all honesty though, there's a massive difference between being beat in a game and being actually verbally harassed online.

Literally just make all survivors spawn together. It really isn't that hard.

Tournament level play isn't really comparable to your average match of DBD.

I'm seeing him a good bit. I'm alright with that because he's a strong but interactive killer to face. Definitely one of the best designed killers they've released.

Well, ever chased a good survivor? See maps are being chosen by survs for most of the time, and they really need to mess up or have no second chance perks with them so killer can pit pressure on them, cause right at the start killer is on the back foot. This is the reason why ruin is meta. You dont have to waste time kicking gens thus saving time to pressure survs.
In an equal game with no mori no key and no BT, DS, Adrenaline(i call it second chance perk but i am fine if its factually not), NOED, Unbreakable and dead hard( to an extent second chance perk) then killer gets around 1 or 2 kills. 4k is ussually caused by uber altruism and perk on killer such as save best for last. And even then killer has to soft camp thus addmiting defeat to a large extent.
I've played against plenty of good survivors. If you're a good killer, you know not to chase them unless you have to. They don't need to mess up a lot of the times if you know how to correctly apply pressure and have good decision making.
Honestly it just sounds like you don't know how to effectively play killer. I'm not trying to be mean by saying that, but you're making killer sound next to impossible. If you're a good killer you win 90% of your games.

Don't put words in my mouth. That's not at all what I'm saying. What I'm saying is you have to be bad very very bad to lose with one. Even with most bad killers, it's a free win.

Keys have never been touched by the net bat. Moris have been nerfed twice. Seems to show some favoritism to me.
Keys haven't been touched because they changes they're making likely take longer to implement. Keys are an item with addons, and require more work to change.
Moris were nerfed the first time because they were absurdly overpowered and nerfed now because the game is weeding out the older problematic mechanics of the past. It's definitely not favoratism.

Nice so lets talk facts instead of expirience cause then we will not get anywhere. Moris were anit gen rush, keys are anti mori. Moris are nerfed thus making keys stronger. We will take you evidence and pretend red ranks are filled with average players. Survs are more likely to get on good player on their side as there is 4 of them. And meeting a good killer is harder due to killer being alone
Now that one good survivor says in chat before game. Guys do gens i have a key and we all escape, because you can do that and there is no incentive to not, because one key means all escape. How is this balanced when now killer cant even secure one-two kills. Ok maybe one but that is a stretch especially taking into account statement above.
So basically 1 good survivor tells the others to do gens and that magically means the killer can't stop 5 gens from being done without a single kill? If there's 3 bad players, you literally just go for them instead of the good survivor and you usually have a guaranteed 2 or 3 kills.

Also you're wrong, Mori's Are NOT a free win, you have to balance it with hooking and hits to get a better score. I liked to punish people tho, if you cleared right away thats like 15k maybe
Moris were free wins if you were bad at the game. You had to be atrocious to lose with a mori.

But there's a drastic power difference between these 2 items now. It's nigh useless for killers but keys can still be 4-man escapes for survivors with minimal effort. I'm not saying they're equivalent but not touching keys at the same time is a very bad idea and extremely unhealthy for the game even for perceived reasons. Now everyone is going to be using their keys as much as possible so they don't lose out like killers did with Moris, and now killers have even less response to it.
Great change.
Wouldn't really call 5 gens minimal effort. Either way if you don't have even 1 killed by the time all 5 gens you very likely still lose the game key or not.
-
I hope they don't really nerf him in terms of strength. I'd like to see his power get changed so it takes more than 3 brain cells to use and in exchange he gets some buffs or good changes in other areas to compensate.

I don't understand the people who use the excuse "games get bugs" yet I don't see GTA, Rocket League etc having any bugs affecting balance.
That's my issue as well. The amount of bugs with things that actually have a large impact on gameplay is absurd. This is the only chapter I have had absolutely 0 interest in, and I know it'll stay that way if every patch makes the game more and more unplayable due to the bugs.

Call Of Duty is 200gb and has 10x less problems. I know, not a good comparison in terms of genre and Activision is a larger company, but the size of the game isn't an excuse. They've had 4 years of work on this game now and the bug problem is somehow getting increasingly worse instead of getting better. I've never in my life played a game with so many bug problems. Not just minor ones either, like the ones that impact regular gameplay often.

Thats not true..if you place them too close to the pallet it'll be the same as a clown bottle and then..pallet down, power useless
Snares are better than Clown's whole power at a loop. They do what his bottles do without having to actually aim, and he never has the reload at a loop or be smart about how many snares he uses.
Freddy is the most autopilot killer in the whole game.

I mean it’s free choice. Veterans of the game who can quickly (from experience alone) know when it’s safe to animation lock and when it’s not.
Distance from killer? Has he stuck is sword in the ground? How long does the animation lock last? Most people who have an issue with his PoTD attack are the lesser experienced players that cannot put that together in their heads instantly, or, they just try normal looping and get whacked with a pallet drop animation. Either way, it’s survivor play error, not the killer’s power being unavoidable.
Similar concept for Huntress, however the wind-up add-ons complicate things.
Yes veterans do, but in a lot of scenarios against PH that doesn't really matter. You animation lock, you get hit, you fake, most times you still get hit.
Doesn't matter how good you are, experience ain't saving you from a lose lose situation. If a survivor fakes a window to avoid an animation lock and still is subsequently hit, because the cooldown is almost nonexistent is that isn't their error. There was nothing they could do in the situation with the tools they have.
Huntress isn't 115%, and has a more punishing cooldown after she misses a hatchet. PH's 115% alone forces far more lose lose situations.

I’m sorry mate, but I have to break it down.
A. His PoTD attack is perhaps the easiest secondary killer attack in the game to dodge. It’s only guaranteed if you’re dumb enough to get animation locked like vaulting windows or dropping pallets, hardly a threat to survivors.
B. Yes, he can counter DS with cages. BT? You have to get the save in the killer’s TR for BT to even be effective...impossible unless you’re sprinting for the uncage while you’re in chase. You also cannot get caged if you’re not tormented, and tormented is ALWAYS voluntary.
C. Spirit does have counters lol. Anyone that says otherwise is really just saying “I don’t know how to counter her yet”. Every spot is a 50/50 mindgame, immersed play is helpful also. After all, you win 100% of chases that you never get into.
I’m sorry, but I have no idea what you’re referring to when you say PH can “kill you with nothing”...he doesn’t have a built-in EGC timer to have the Entity pierce you, so not sure what exactly you’re referring to. Elaborate please.
What do you mean "If you're dumb enough to get animation locked"? In a lot of scenarios you absolutely have to animation lock to avoid a regular hit. Exactly why people hate him because avoiding the regular hit means POTD hit. At some point in a chase you're likely going to get animation locked.
Even after the "nerf" the penalty for cancelling POTD is hardly noticeable. Now this isn't me just saying he's op or he needs a nerf, it's just saying he's unfun to verse and a survivor isn't an idiot for taking an animation lock when they really still will get hit even if they fake.

With victor
1. He can't pounce up any type of slope, doesn't matter how minor
2. He has the chance to fall through the ground
3. He has the chance to get stuck in the ground, where he shall remain for the rest of his days
4. Can now touch people in lockers, poor dwight mains.
5. Can be kidnapped for 45 seconds, and through hatch without a promise of child support income.
6. Can camp like a pro, he packed gear and everything.
7. Can float on a survivor he is attached to, same with Charlotte. Victor decided he was too cool for the ground, and ascended to a higher plane of existence to avoid it.
8. Victor is too lazy to stop survivors from leaving through the exit gate
9. Victor's killer instinct for dying people is inconsistent. Sometimes reveals those on a hook too.
10. Victor can get stuck in his falling animation, which can only be stopped by being kicked by survivors.
11. Idle animation is bugged in lobby
12. FOV can be stuck at 45°, same for charlotte.
13. Victor does not move corn or grass
With Charlotte
1. Can have a black screen if you switch too fast, switch again to make it go away
2. Can get stuck in the ground like victor, at least they're together
3. Her power can be taken away for 45 seconds
4. Takes too long to wake up after playing victor
5. Apparently can't get points from BBQ, bubba decided not to share any chili with the twins.
6. devout emblem is currently bugged, no adept twins for you buddy.
7. Purple cosmetic is locked as a set, despite trailer stating otherwise.
With perks
1. Hoarder just straight up doesn't work
2. Deception has the chance to not work in high ping ( cries in ps4 )
3. Power struggle no longer works with flip flop, No free pallet stuns for you meghead.
4. Power struggle can cause you to become one with a pallet
With flashlights
1. Now has sway for some reason? Get better hands I guess??
2. Blinding angle is off, to compensate for this the killers eyes have been adjusted 5 feet to the left.
With Legion
1. legion lost their movement speed in frenzy. Look for funny comment below.
2. Rumors state legion has a lunge range in frenzy as short as your [BAD WORD]
3. The mask now defines what gender the legions voice is.
Miscellaneous
1. The usual framerate issues everyone has (it's been 2 years where is the optimization?)
2. Hillbillies chainsaw randomly over heats, probably due to barely legible directions on tuning guide.
3. Sometimes shack pallet is unbreakable ( can apparently be broken on one side ? )
4. Blood warden doesn't prevent survivors from leaving... again
5. Clown now has a delay between throwing a bottle and lunging. He could hit them, he just chooses not to.
6. Freddy can't place puddles in doorways
7. Mikey's chase music doesn't stop playing for a couple seconds after a survivor is downed.
8. Killer now hears survivor pov chase music, for those who have original chase music. Doesn't affect those where the track is the same on both ends.
9. Sometimes grass disappears at a distance
I'm sure I'm missing some, feel free to add to the list! Any contribution shall be added to the list in future edits.
"Killer now hears survivor pov chase music, for those who have original chase music. Doesn't affect those where the track is the same on both ends."
I love this. That means I'm gonna be playing a lot of Oni and Demo. I love their survivor POV so much more than their own music. Who would have thought I'd be sitting here more excited about a chase music bug than I would a whole new chapter.

The counter play to the perk is not walking through pallets past a certain point. It will be another perk that will be too situational to be used more frequently than the current meta perks.
It may force some tough situations against SWF, but for that we have to wait until live to see. Usually there's 1 survivor perk that sounds crazy on paper when combined with certain perks but doesn't actually translate well into the gameplay itself.

Well, there is only one piece of data we have, and it is that OP is hooked early on in the game while all of his teammates are apparently alive and just running around.. OP is ruining their fun, he is making their game WAY harder by giving up early
Let's talk about adapting for a sec.. even the top boxers in the world can lose the early rounds.. then they learn the opponent they are up against (the killer/survivor) how they fight, how they move, and THEN they come alive and take over and win the fight. With the OP just giving up early once he decides he can read everyone's minds, he is giving no room for skilled/adaptive high ranked people that can actually learn and adjust to their opponent.. Surely we have all had games where you did bad early and then the player underestimates you massively and they lose the game because they ever chase you all game thinking you are an easy kill or you kill them all because they thought you were a noob killer and then you prove them way wrong.
Someone just giving up early on a hook is just the lamest form of 'I quit' IMO, you are buying your team no time, giving them no chances, there is this expectation from minute 1 and if anyones not living up to it RIP game here i go, suicide on the hook. How do we know that OP just doesn't suicide on hook even when his teammates have been repairing gens RIGHT UNTIL he was hooked and if he didn't get hooked the gens would still be going and then are trying to help. A key part of this conversation is that OP is on the hook that is all we know. I saw someone earlier give up on a hook on their first hook when we were down to 2 gens and they were the only one to die.. they were timing out but someone was coming..
Well if they're doing absolutely nothing, it probably means they aren't too concerned with the winning aspect as much as they are the evading.
He described it as him going on a big chase and them doing absolutely nothing. There is literally no bigger chance he can give them to win and they squander it. I don't blame him for being extremely frustrated in that scenario. When I go on a 4 minute chase, and see 3 claudettes hiding in the corner of the map with 5 gens left, I'm not giving them anymore chances to "adapt". They clearly weren't too concerned with my fun hiding and doing nothing, were they?
Also, a boxing analogy doesn't work here whatsoever. I get what you're trying to say, but you're comparing a sport that is dependent on your individual ability to a game that is dependent on your team. It doesn't matter how much he adapts throughout the course of the match if his other 3 teammates don't either.
-
As killer I'm pretty chill. I almost never tunnel and really never camp. I'll slug to create more map pressure if I need it but nothing too crazy. All I really care about is that everyone in the match had fun. I love meming too.
As survivor, I'm pretty chill as well but I admittedly try a bit harder because of the solos I get. Sometimes I'll go out of my way to be annoying to the killer because my teammates can't last in a chase and it has to be me to get chased if we want to have any hope of living.
As a whole though, I think I'm pretty fun to play against on both sides.
-
He's insanely dull to face. His power just stalls with no interesting aspect to it. It's just get hit, mend, and do whatever you were doing before. When you do finally get into a chase though, it's just a basic M1 chase with no real depth to it.
-

@ThGameIsHardButSoAmI said:
"im not having fun so im gonna ruin the game for the other 4 people until I like my team"
Well with the way he described it, they aren't doing gens to begin with. Him killing himself really only has an impact on the gens getting done. If they're all doing nothing to begin with, I doubt they're very concerned about getting everyone out via exit gate. He isn't really ruining their fun because the only thing killing himself does is make it harder for them to win, but in the scenario he described it doesn't seem like they're too concerned about that to begin with.
With what he described, the killer got a good chase and a win, while the survivors clearly were content with themselves doing whatever they were off doing. I don't see how he's really ruining anyones fun.
-
Solo que is an absolute nightmare to play. Almost every single game I'll go on a big chase and usually I'm lucky to see one gen pop. Solos seem to have an obsession with self caring against sloppy too, which is probably the most frustrating thing to watch.

-
I personally just find his gameplay somewhat stale. A good Doctor who is effective with their shocks are boring in my opinion to play against because it really just turns into a game of looping a pallet with the Doctor shocking over and over. Either that or countering the shocking by just dropping a pallet and holding W.
Some maps you can chain loops a little better better than others, so those are the maps where I find Doctor to be more interesting to face. But on a map like Shelter Woods Doctor makes me wish I never booted up DBD for the day.
Not to mention, the 3 gens. When it comes down to it, I'll just die on hook whenever a Doc gets a 3 gen. I had a game once with a Doc that lasted 20 minutes. Absolutely brutal. Lol
This is just my opinion on him though.

Because its a game about BEING chased.
Take Nurse/Spirit/Billy, they can all end a chase rather quickly and barring Spirit, they have a high learning curve and require a level of skill. Getting cheesy hits when survivors are locked into animations is different. If every killer could end chases for free, the game wouldn't be any fun.
Believe it or not, the highest skill gap in this game is in chases.

I'm tired of having to type the same stuff over and over again. You balance for the top and it's balanced for everyone. That's how it works.
For top tier players PH is a laughing stock with very little chase utility, no map presence, and piss-poor tracking. It's not an opinion, it's a fact.
Are you shitting me? PH little chase utility? He has one of the strongest chase powers in the entire game. The large majority of top tier players agree, that the because his power functions the way it currently does means that he can constantly put survivors into scenarios where no matter what they do they get hit.
Balancing for the top is a great way to kill this game. People already despise what a sweat fest it already can be. The top players are the most competitive, and there's a reason 95% of the players in this game are just flat out bad at it. It's casual for the majority.

He's so strong, he got curbstomped in the last tournament, against survivors that weren't even allowed to go full meta, lmao.
Please, just stop. You clearly have no idea. If you have problems versing Pyramid Head, it's completely on you. ;)
Yes, because tournament level matches are the large majority of games, right? Enlighten me on how PH being able to M2 and hit or just fake and cancel and M1 is a me problem. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see someone who is blatantly biased to one side just say "hurr you not good" instead of acknowledging that skill doesn't mean ######### all in a scenario I can't win no matter how good I am.
The problem with Pyramid Head is that he by design, is a very strong killer and has a super powerful chase tool, but still suffers from bad map design against tournament squads. That's why the majority of killers struggle against them. It isn't him who is weak.

I wouldn't mind if he had a PH style change. In return if he got that something like his range and chain duration would probably have to be increased, or depending on how much the zoning hurts him, 115% MS.

You really must be a bad survivor if Pyramid Head is a problem for you. ;)
Well, in a situation where he can just hold M2 and win no matter what I do, my skill unfortunately means nothing. This is coming from somebody who loves playing as Pyramid Head. But that's beside the point. The fact that you think Pyramid Head is a laughing stock really shows you have absolutely no clue how to play him. He's one of the stronger killers in the game when utilized effectively.

That's what I think the survivor community fails to realize. If they get a killer nerfed people won't keep playing that killer. They'll just be more spirits or whoever is the current meta.
"Alright! We got PH nerfed. Now he'll be easy to bully............why am I only seeing spirits?"
This "nerf" only will hurt bad players who relied on nothing but entirely brainless zoning. God forbid a killer be more fun for both sides.
