BHVR is trolling again. calling an at best mediocre perk a lose lose situation and overbearing.
Let me just remind you what thana does. In a best case scenario where all 4 survivors are injured, it reduces the healing/gen speed by 16% aka +2,5s for a normal heal. Even with selfcare it would only increase by 5s.
In what world is this a lose lose situation or overbearing??
And let's be honest, the buff to gen speed reduction will be minor, maybe +1% per stack.
Nice. Judging a perk when we don't even know the values of the changes coming yet.

lmao. They nerfed a harmless perk for no reason and removed a debuff from another pathetic perk that barely sees any use as is in exchange for a (guaranteed to be) negligible qol change. I'd hardly call those things buffs.
Furthermore, they made Pyramid Head even more of a laughing stock than what he already is.

They're meaningless because, first of all, hook suicides are counted as deaths. Second, both the Depip Squad experiment and the most recent tournament hosted by that famous streamer whose name I can't remember, completely contradict those laughable stats.
"Furthermore, they made Pyramid Head even more of a laughing stock than what he already is."
You really must be bad at Pyramid Head to have this type of opinion on him lol

he shouldn't have been released until he was in a really good place. What is the point of the experimental branch if you're going to make adjustments to the game after the initial feedback but don't allow players to test it first? BHVR, your priorities are ######### up. Most of the community would actually respect you for postponing product launches to get it right first.
He honestly is in a pretty good place right now. Watching good players is showing his potential. The gameplay I've seen is more fluid than PTB.

How can you release something so unfun to play as to live. Should have taken feedback from ptb for once.
And they want 8€ for this chapter without even a new map lmao.
I feel like they actually did take feedback from the PTB. They buffed his addons, fixed collision, and increased his turning speed. I see a lot of people doing well with him when they use his power correctly.

You can resolve this issues by simply opting out of crossplay. Don't feel like playing against an opponent that have better FPS ? Simple, opt out of crossplay.
Sadly, we can't do the same with SWF.
So basically I gotta deal with horrid queues just to make the game more fair for myself. Great. More neglect for console players!
Just like we shouldn't punish people for trying to play on their PC as you stated earlier, we shouldn't punish people for trying to play on their console. There should be some middle ground where everyone benefits.

If you want to go that way, i can say the same exact thing about SWF, why should they be allowed to have free information ? How is this fair to the other side that have to bring perks for little information ? How is this fair to killer who don't also have the option to gain free information ?
That's entirely different. Were talking about distinct differences in gameplay and optimization based on platform. Not the balance of the game.

I shouldn't also get ######### in the ass by long queues just because I don't want to play the game against people who have a clear advantage. Either choice I make I get ######### on.
It's extremely frustrating for the console community to be neglected so often.

If you're playing Deathslinger with Crossplay on, you're doing something wrong, Queue times are instant on console.
Queue times on console aren't really instant for me. With CP it's like a minute. Without it I'm in queue for upwards of 5+.
-
@BlueskyNew said:
You shouldn't punish people trying to have fun with their PC.
While Fps gives you an advantage, it doesn't provide you any skill, if the PC player is bad, Fps will not make him win the game.
And not all PC players are try hards, some are just people trying to have fun.
PC players will still have people who play full on cross play. You shouldn't punish console either for not wanting to play the game against an opponent who has a clear advantage over them. Do you understand how painful it is to try to play Deathslinger on 10-20FPS against people on 50+? If I get hit by Sloppy Butcher as survivor my game becomes a slideshow. At least with console to console, the other player struggles in the same way I do, evening it out a bit more.
Until something is changed there should be some sort of middle ground for everyone with console to console and regular CP. Console won't have to be at a disadvantage for the time being and PC will still benefit from some players deciding to go with full blown CP.

He WILL build Evil 3, no matter what you do. And you guys are saying he doesn't get a speed increase with EW 2-3 at all, but I SWEAR TO FREAKING GOD I saw him move 150% his speed straight up on Evil 3, EVERY single time.
He's a 115% killer in EW3. Literally just loop him like any normal killer but just don't get too greedy. Instead of 3 loops on a pallet, maybe go for a safer 2. You really just need to learn how to loop efficiently and safely by the sounds of it.

What's your point? I'd rather they be included and get the updates they need, this is different, PC players have no choice in whether console players get the updates they need, but these posts are solely trying to exclude PC players by choice, big difference.
Yes, because the console community sure have gotten the updates they need to make the experience even somewhat smooth.
Until both parties have a somewhat similar gameplay experience that doesn't put one at a distinct disadvantage, there should be some sort of middle ground. There would still be people that used regular CP, so PC would still have some form of increased playerbase and at the same time console would benefit from fair matches until changes were made to even the playing field.

Ikr, yet we have these morons that can easily turn off cross play if they don't like it with a click of a button
The problem is that, like usual, the majority of the console community suffers regardless of the choice they make. You disable CP because PC players have a clear advantage over you? Well too bad now you have long queues. You play against them, the odds are going to be stacked against you nearly every game you play.
Until something is changed and both platforms are on even footing , there should be some sort of middle ground for console players.

@Reinami said:
What i mean by this is, there are some killers who don't get very many bloodpoints due to the nature of how their power works. Some killers have ways to compensate for this. The biggest example is Ghostface, when he uses his power to mark a survivor, and hits them, instead of getting the normal "Hit" scoring event for brutality for 300 bloodpoints. He gets a "Marked Stab" scoring event IN ADDITION TO "Hit" that is worth 500 + 300 (for the hit). The Oni has a similar scoring event called "Demon Strike" Which also awards 500 bloodpoints when hitting a survivor while using your power.
Yet we see many killers who have 1 hit downs or powers that are tied to certain mechanics be cheated out of bloodpoints for them. For example:
- Leatherface
- Myers
- Hillbilly
These 3 killers have an ability that allows them to get a 1 hit down. However, when they all use this ability, they only get the 300 brutality from the "Hit" scoring event. Why don't they get something similar to Ghostface when they use their power so they can not lose out on potential bloodpoints?
The plague is the worst one of all. A strategy many survivors use is to not cleanse against a plague until late game where they do it all at once. In doing so, plague gets very little deviousness points, but also very little brutality. Because she is hitting survivors who are injured, she loses out on 300 brutality in every chase.
In order to fix this, i'd propose the following:
Leatherface and Hillbilly:
- Downing a survivor with a chainsaw hit now awards an additional scoring event called "Chainsaw Down" which awards an additional 500 Brutality
Myers:
- Hitting a survivor while in Evil Within tier 3 awards an additional scoring event called "Evil Stab" Which awards an additional 500 Brutality.
Plague:
- Hitting a survivor who has the maximum infected status awards an additional scoring event called "Infected Hit" which awards an additional 500 Brutality (this replaces the old "Sickness Damage" scoring event)
- Every few seconds, if a survivor has the maximum infection level, a scoring event called "Sickness" which awards 200 Deviousness points.
I'm sure there are other killers in similar situation, i'm not sure about trapper for example, but they should also get a similar bonus.
I entirely agree. I get frustrated with Billy and having M1 rather than use my power to get my Brutality up to a decent amount. It's harder to hit a chainsaw than it is an M1, so you should be compensated for that with an increased point value.

They said "needs to" not "if they do".
Nice try at twisting their words from "you can win without having to genrush, and use other skills" to "if you do your objective, you're a noob".
"If a survivor need to genrush, it means that the survivor is a noob"
At the end of the day, he's saying right there that if a survivor needs to genrush, which at the end of the day is simply doing your objective efficiently, that it means you're a noob.
This take is perhaps one of the dumbest things I've seen on here in awhile. The way I worded it doesnt matter. The idea was to say that no matter how you look at it, being efficient in a game that revolves around time efficiency doesn't equate to being bad at the game.
I sincerely apologize for not sitting for 12 minutes analyzing every last space he had in his wording.

I appreciate the advice but it's not exactly hard to figure out he's best at animation locks or faking it out. In either case it's not what I was hoping for with him. I wanted PotD to be his main tool he used, not something that's only useful when survivors allow it to be, or just not even using it for fake outs.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1437123#Comment_1437123
I feel like he's the weakest in terms of flexibility and versatility with his power though. Well, maybe Huntress too but no one else can get a hit from across the map.
If you're good with him you'll land a lot of shots even outside of animation locks. The power is a very strong and fun tool.

It's an extremely telegraphed and easy to dodge due to the wave like motion of it ranged attack. That's all he has besides cages/quick mori. Cages most of the time aren't beneficial or actively hurt your pressure. The Mori part is amazing no complaints there, I often just wait for it instead of cage.
My first impressions of PH were a hybrid trap/range killer. Turns out he's just a zone m1 character. Not what I wanted or expected.
If survivors are easily dodging your attack, you aren't playing him correctly. You're supposed to use it as a survivor is forced to lock themselves into an animation. He's a good killer in good hands.
Maybe if he couldn't cancel it, his power would be bad. But you constantly can force survivors into scenarios where they either vault and die, or fake and still get hit. It's an extremely strong zoning tool, similar to Deathslinger.

No, I have not played that specific title. What I have played, however, is an extensive amount of R6 Siege, most Battlefield titles, every CoD title before Infinite Warfare, Overwatch, and even GTA Online. So far, with the exception of DBD, the only game I have played in which people actively and regularly go out of their way to message me is GTA. And that's not exactly a competitive PVP shooter, it just happens to have that mechanic in the game. Even Siege isn't that bad these days, thanks to the developers.
Edit: I forgot PUBG
It doesn't even need to be SnD. Go on MW, load up a 725 and just prepare your ears. Something as simple as 2v2 Gunfight usually ends up with someone calling you slurs. I've only had a slur used against me maybe once in my 2000+ hours on DBD. It's a daily thing in COD.

I have yet to have someone go out of their way to message me detailing just how bad I am and what exactly they are doing to my mother in any PvP shooter. There is a difference between casually calling that shite out through a mic and actually taking the time to source someone's gamertag/username, type out the entire message, and send it to them in such a manner that they don't get banned for abuse. That alone tells me the different levels of toxicity.
Ever play MW SnD?

PvP shooters are undoubtedly worse than DBD. They're not even in the same ball park when it comes to toxicity.

I'm sorry, but if you were a somewhat good killer player, I doubt this would be a complaint. I'm not trying to sound mean here.

If you're struggling to even hook 1 survivor in a 6 plus minute game, you may need to reevaluate your play, rather than blaming the game.

The devs love to nerf any halfway-decent killer and killer perks, but it’s okay for survivors to have: Adrenaline, DS, BT, Soul Guard, Unbreakable, and the most op perk of all... SWF. Killers get called toxic for camping and tunneling But there is nothing you can do about getting he gen rushes, or not be able to catch and hook not a single survivor. The devs won’t increase gen time, the won’t touch SWF, they keep nerfing killers that are actually viable, they nerf killer perks. Like old ruin, even if they didn’t nerf it, how that compare to the survivor perks they got now. The killer meta is very weak compared to the survivor meta. What can killers do when they get gen rushed? What can killers do against SWF. What can killers do with very lackluster perks. Devs, Do you truly play your game. Can you say that the Killer is an actual Killer, or is he trying to survive against the 4 killers. I mean look at Pyramid Head’s perks compared to Cheryl’s perks. Devs, PLEASE PLAY YOUR GAME!!!
You know, have you ever stopped to think maybe with all these complaints that you're the one that needs to improve a bit more? The game isn't perfect, but if you properly understand killer you're going to win the majority of the games you play.

"Guys I have to turn my camera backwards, Spine Chill OP"
It really isn't that hard to face the opposite way for a solid 6-8 seconds. I do it all the time when I know they have Spine Chill, and it works just fine.

Tackling the meta is it's own problem. But Spinechill is apart of it, including the perks you just mentioned.
So it's best to go through them 1 at a time.
It counters stealth killers but have you ever thought that simply turning your camera if you're going to a gen nullifies SC entirely?

These survivors played poorly at the start and allowed Ardetha to get EWIII basically for free. They still tied. Might that be because gen time is an issue?
They tied only because Ardetha allowed them to by playing far too nice. He chose to eat a DS rather than slugging and pulling another survivor or two off of a gen. Hell, watching the video makes me think had he of not hesitated, he could have easily just ran behind the Ace, lunged, and downed him. The Dwight wouldn't have even been unhooked and Ace would have been down. This alone could have won him the game. He also chose to not slug the Nea and pressure the gate when he was close to it. He cut the video, so for all we know maybe he traversed the map poorly. 2 huge errors that very likely would have left him with at least a 3k. It's not surprising that the survivors took advantage of this.

In other words, to counter a killer who had hooked two people within the 90 seconds and to whom they fed EWIII, the survivors just had to... hold M1.
That's what you have to do to counter every killer as a team. Hold M1 and progress your objective. Matches like these usually come down to a matter of how fatal will the mistakes of the killer be throughout the course of the match, and as I said before, he made 2 that cost him the game.
-

I'm not interested in the mistakes Ardetha made, I'm asking what the survivors did that matched the things he did right.
They did gens efficiently. That's the most effective thing you can do when you're outside of chase to combat a killer. That's what they excelled in and did right, but at the end of the day, what Ardetha did wrong is what allowed them to escape.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1323586#Comment_1323586
That still begs the question, what did they do that matched Ardetha's plays? If the trial ended up as a 2k, that means the survivors must've matched the killer blow for blow.
The trial ended in a 2k because Ardetha didn't slug even when he had the opportunity to. He easily could have gotten a 3 or 4k. He played chases well, but he virtually gave them 2 escapes.

This is probably why you get hit with DS so often. If you don't immediately pick up the guy you tunneled, you won't get DS'd. Instead of immediately picking, you can just slug him and try to apply pressure to other survivors. You can't complain about DS when you're basically asking to be DS'd.

Bruh a fair amount of players play a lot to try and reach rank 1 so they can be among the best. It's a competitive game with POSSIBLE casual aspects. 9.9 times out of 10 there are more competitive aspects
Many players could care less for rank. It means nothing. It proves and shows nothing. Rank 1 doesn't mean you're among the best because many there are very bad at the game.

Nope. Wrong. Theres nothing casual about the skill gap required, theres nothing casual about the grind, and theres nothing casual about the messages people send when they lose. Any game that requires literally hundreds of hours to get good at is not casual. Claiming otherwise is just simply disingenious af
"Casual is when you hop on to a game to chill with a bunch of mates and just have an overall enjoyable experience. I think Competitive play comes in when you want to win your next game to “rank up” or improve your stats. The drive to improve and get better with every match you play."
This is the first thing that comes up when you type casual vs competitive. The majority of DBDs playerbase doesn't have a drive to improve in every match they play. Hence, why the majority of the playerbase is bad at the game. The game isn't as competitive as you'd like to think it is. Just because there are a few here and there who get salty at the game doesn't mean it's a competitive game.
Oh, this is also another good one.
"A casual gamer is a player who enjoys any video game without investing significant time to it, playing it spontaneously, irregularly, or infrequently. The term casual may also be used as a derogative noun, to describe a player who is not fully committed to playing a video game at a high level"
The majority AREN'T invested into playing this game at its highest level. Which is why many are bad at the game. They play it casually.

Yeah well most game developers and gamers alike disagree with you. Its not about "accomidatiin" its about having a game thats fairly balanced. Balance is not about outcomes, its about what is possible. They didnt balance monopoly and set game rules around which piece won more often, thats stupid. They set tge game rules in a fair way and who ever wins wins. Right now it is possible for you to go into a game as survivor and win 100% of tge time based on your skill level. Right now it is not possible for me as a killer to go into a match and win 100% of the time based on my skill level.
And I dont mean that killers have to win 100% of the time for the game to be balanced, what I mean is the absolute best survivors will always beat the absolute best killers unless RNG seriously screws them. That is not balance.
Why would you ever balance a casual game around the best players? Great players are very uncommon in this game. If you were to balance around the best of the best you'd throw the majority of your playerbase out the window to accommodate the small number that are very good. If you balance this way in a casual game, you lose most of your casual players, the ones who make up a massive chunk of your playerbase. This is a fantastic way to kill your game.
For the majority, the game is well balanced.

I think i can speak for most killers in that if they made gens get done faster i would uninstall this game and never look back.
And yes, you do balance around top level play. If you dont your game is unbalanced
You don't balance a game around the top 5% and screw over the 95%. That literally is the worst way you could possibly balance a game like this. Accommodate the large majority, not the minority.

Some players say the game is "unplayable" when they experience a single bug that actually has no long term impact on the game. Or if they get a single lag spike because that's just the nature of the internet sometimes.
In other words, people will sit there and say "this is unplayable" when it is entirely playable they just want an excuse to DC.
Like I said I've heard every excuse in the book. I'm not buying it.
