I think the killer/survivor should only be able to see each other when they're looking at each other. Right now, there could be an OoO looking at you and you can't even tell because you're facing a different way. They could always change it to let the killer look at the survivor in the same manner, instead of having that one-sided crap.

Land the hit? This sounds like a survivor complaining about skill checks.
Because we're playing Dead By Daylight, not Call of Duty. We shouldn't have to worry that much about aiming when we're talking about melee. Getting 360'd is the equivalent of missing due to jump spamming: Stupid strategy, highly effective.

This seems to worse now since dedicated servers. The auto aim just constantly screws me up when survivors 360 everywhere. I find myself often equipping unrelenting to compensate.
That's really sad. Killers should NEVER have to rely on Unrelenting to get hits. 360ing is a major problem.
-
Agreed 100%. Not only are 360s extremely easy to do, but they can be done multiple times and are effective. Lots of time wasted for killers from such a stupid easy strategy. Survivor turn speed can also lead to them getting fast vaults where they really shouldn't be getting them.

Uh, the game starts matching you against Reds as soon as you hit green rank as killer. There just aren’t enough killers to go around.
Because nobody wants to sweat their ass off as killer in this broken ass game. The only reason me and the 5 other killers on PS4 keep playing is because we're too stubborn.
-
Show them no mercy. You don't have to bring a mori though. Just slug for the 4k and be prepared for at least 1 person to have Unbreakable.
-
And then what about 360s? They get me all the time. I feel like I just get lucky when they 360 and I actually hit them, you know, because all the other times my arm goes straight through them but apparently it didn't hit.
-
It's good in theory. There's definitely been times where I've felt it's effect. It's nice not needing to kick the gens either. But unless you're able to keep people off the gens all the time, those things are going flying nowadays. Alright perk, ######### game balance.
-
I hear ya, but if the title doesn't interest me, I just refresh and wait for a better one.
-
How do you do it? The sensitivity was so debilitating when I played as her, I haven't touched her in months. How do you do with Huntress, because she has a similar console aim problem? I'm bad with her as well.
-
To my horror, the hatch is still in the game.

Survivor is screwed 90% of the times if the killer finds the hatch and closes it, I dont think its exactly a "free win" for survivors.
But the fact that it *can* be a free escape is the problem. Take more than a glance at what I said.
-
@NullEXE said:
Wanna hear what's more dumb? The Hatch wasn't added to the game to "give the last survivor a chance to survive".
It was added so that "the last survivor can no longer take the game hostage by remaining hidden".
Try adding that to your coffee and drinking it. The dev's literally dealt with a problem of survivors taking the game hostage, by giving them free wins.
They should have just added the endgame collapse *instead of* the hatch so that wouldn't happen. Have it activate after there's 1 survivor left or something. But no, they never settle for simple solutions, do they?
-
Yeah, sorry it's kinda long. I'm still in the essay mindset from college.

This isn't a post to complain about NOED, but rather just to question why bad killers use it as a crutch. Most of the time resulting in their only kill. It's just certain days I go on this luck streak of killers who are SO BAD, i literally just ran an oni for 5 minutes around 1 pallet, we all **** on this guys life, tbagging blinding pallet slamming lmaoo. Then mister no skill killer has the audacity to be running NOED. lets be honest that you aren't even going to get far with that when 4 survivors are better than you. You're admiting you're a bad killer seeing as half the killers have 1 shot abilities they can get standard (M2). Needless to say he didn't kill anyone.
Next match, boy was this a funny one, a trapper with NOED who couldn't even loop. Every time he wanted to try to swing at the pallet and let me slam him. It's hard to take this guy seriously and then he gets 1 hook all game, guess what perk he's playing with? NOED LOL
Go ahead keep using it it's rather amusing, rules of survival, unless the killers complete garbage just let the random die on NOED, OR take a look in the most immediate areas to check really quickly, don't feed these bums, I'm perfectly fine with killers not developing skill through means of NOED to get 1 - 2 kills .
A major issue in this game is how people prioritize killing someone even if it means on the first hook. This I don't understand unless you truely don't care about even bloodpoints. Pips don't stand for anything unless you like having a challenge every single time in red ranks, even at purple ranks now u get gold and gray killers on ps4. Hell you even get linked with gold and gray survivors who would rather watch you loop for 5 minutes instead of doing generators. Even so with dumb survivors and a dumb killer with NOED 1-2 experienced survivors is all it takes to change those matches.
This perk is the biggest hurdle in the game toward survivors , to be fair it always has been, i think I'd rather have this reworked than ruin, ruin was bareable, although admittedly it was the cause of disaster in a lot of games. Why should No One Escapes Death work on every survivor multiple times until its cleansed, depending on what level of NOED you have should be how many times you can use it;
MY PROPOSAL ON HOW N.O.E.D. SHOULD BE:
( NOED Tier 1 - You get a 1 hit down on 1 survivor, only works 1 time)
(NOED Tier 2 - You get a 1 hit down on 2 survivors, only works 1 time on each selected survivor)
(NOED Tier 3 - You get a 1 hit down on 3 survivors, only works 1 time on each selected survivor)
There's absolutely no reason u need a crutch bigger than 3 free M1 1 shots.
Please I hope the Devs see this idea, its much more balanced, especially for super low rank noobie survivors who don't know where to look for totems, or that the situation calls for them to just escape rather than rescue.
Your toxic ass deserves all those NOED matches. You're literally admitting to tbagging and flashlight clicking. You want respect? Give some first.

Killers have much more second chance perks than survivors; games are more killer-sided than survivors.
No One Escapes Death, Blood Warden, Remember Me, Fire Up, Make Your Choice, Barbecue & Chili, Rancor, Nemesis, and Whispers.
Half of those can't even be classified as second chance perks. Whispers, really?

I know, who cares about points? but honestly I feel a killer should not get rewarded for tunneling, if you hook the same survivor 3 times in a row, that should heavily cost you bp and your emblem for that category imo
I admire you survivor mains' ability to use your imagination and continually come up with new suggestions of how to screw over killers even more, down to the smallest interaction or detail.

In your opinion which killer needs to be nerfed or reworked next? My vote is hillbilly but I also think a few others could be toned down. Thoughts?
How about you? Because you're killing me, smalls. No killer is in need of nerfs. If only the survivors got nerfs regularly like killers do, then we could talk. Because the nerf ratio is evident.

I have no issue with applying extreme pressure as Clown.
My current build:
"Cruel Limits + Discordance + Insidious + Tinkerer"
My previous current build:
"Corrupt Intervention + Discordance + Dying Light + Thanatophobia"

So everyone knows about the trick to getting past Trapper's traps just by dead harding over them. Not only is this unfair, it literally makes no logical sense. It is unfair because a survivor basically can completely ignore a trap & extend the chase they were just in. Trapper gets screwed because then he either has to take time to pick up his trap or has to find a different route to continue chase. Not only that, it would be physically impossible in real life to do this to a real bear trap. Dead hard is a dash forward, not a jump, so it doesn't make sense how they wouldn't still get trapped.
I know the ability grants a brief period of immunity to the survivor, but honestly that in itself is so stupid. In general, dead hard shouldn't even negate attacks as it makes zero sense. There are times where you go to hit a survivor & they dead hard either into you or through the area you're hitting at but dead hard trumps the attack registering. I get that is kinda the point of the perk, but in a real situation like this that would never be the case. Dash all you want, if you get hit with a weapon you're gonna get hit lol. Point of this thread is just that dead hard is a far-fetched perk concept.
P.S. I'm not saying Dead Hard is OP by any means. I kinda think it's crap because I just wait out everyone's dead hard anyways. The perk should be just about either trying to make the killer whiff or to reach a pallet/window faster in order to avoid being hit. There shouldn't be an invincibility factor to it that isn't logically correct.
I second this. Don't let these survivor mains tell you it's a 'fair' interaction.
-
None of them.
-
Oh hell no.
-
You'll complain about anything.
-
I play killer to win, and as a bonus, have fun. I play to the best of my abilities, and STILL do not win, because I'm given too little time to chase and hook. I come to the forums to discuss the problems plaguing the game, NOT to be belittled and reprimanded by the likes of you.

I have unlocked every killer but I am unsure which one I should now put time and points into, and was wandering if the community had any ideas which I should focus on. So, which 3 killers should I focus on and why cuz I really love the game but can't decide.
Oh and btw I am a doctor and legion main lel
What you want to do first of all is get every killer to level 40. That way all their teachable perks are available to all your killers. It's up to you to decide which order you want to level them.

Tbh there are quite a lot of perks that have unwritten features to them, such as spine chill still affecting fast vaults, and perks like open-handed not really working with a few other perks as well as descriptions needing a slight tweak with their wording but I think it's ok.
What I WOULD want is for a lot of the killer add-ons to show actual numbers instead of "moderately, considerably...". I'd much rather have the numbers and percentages in the descriptions than a vague word which will force me to just look up the values on the wiki anyway. Giving us actual numbers such as seconds for charge time, terror radius etc is much more intuitive and would help literally every single person who plays this game. Idk I just hope the Devs will eventually do this.
Spine Chill affects fast vaults?! How?!

I am generally of the same viewpoint, which is why I'm altogether against the change.
But no need to tag Peanits, he's answered this exact question before and I can show you his response:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/253/YIGWCT5RIZ7Z.png
Just because we didn't personally see people dodging lobbies doesn't mean it wasn't happening. In fact, I've seen a lot of people on these forums saying things to the effect of "I wish they had left it in because it let me know when to dodge".
Basically, the reasoning behind the change is lobby dodging increases queue times, and since the devs are currently making efforts to reduce queue times, allowing a feature to remaining the game which indirectly increased them would be counter-productive to that goal.
As I said, I personally don't agree with the decision since I think that even taking that into consideration, the feature was a net good, but I understand why they felt it was necessary to remove it.
Or they could have fixed matchmaking.

@Hoodied said:
Like I have said before
Its not Gen Speed, who wants to sit on a generator for more than 80 seconds?
Its map design, this game has horrid map design
But it's not 80 seconds, is it? Usually 2 or 3 survivors are working on a single gen which cuts the time in half. That's how you get 5 gens in 5 minutes, the common result of playing without Ruin.
-
Killer at red ranks is way less about skill and way more about RNG. Nobody can possibly exert the amount of pressure on gens and survivors. Survivors WILL escape unless they play badly or play meme builds, and even when they do make big mistakes, they have 2 or 3 second-chance perks anyway. There's always way too much variation in game results, most likely because of matches with BNP and Adrenaline as opposed to matches that don't have them and the killer has a little bit of a chance. Why is it that as a red rank killer, some games I 4k, and then the next 2, I'll get a 1k and a 0k? It's hard to pip as killer, so you can't say it's a fluke that I'm up this high. How am I red rank and getting 0k games? Is that because the survivors are just that much better than me? I don't think so.

The Ghostface should be the next part of this game that has to be revisited. This killer is totally unfun and frustrating to play against, especially for casual players.
There is no real counter to his power, since you can be exposed while literally standing in front of him and staring at him. This killer is the ultimate tunneling machine, since he can easily counter BT and down people right off the hook again.
Most GF players rely on tunneling and slugging.
GF should not be able to hide his red stain and his TR. It benefits the killer way too much without requiring any effort any effort.
The ability to crouch spam should be taken away, since it is abused by almost every GF killer.
I can see the devs' original intention when creating this killer, but sadly these things are abused by killer main players.
Please make facing ghostface enjoyable for survivors.
Look, as a killer even I think he needs to be reworked, but we've seen how the devs "rework" stuff. Always against the killer's interests.

No lie, I'm a rank 2 killer, had 3 survivors around the same rank, and then there was a rank 20 survivor. He was not in SWF. #########, game?

I usually auto-include it not only to help against all the Ghost Faces, but it's just good in general. It tells you when the killer is coming your way, or when he abandons the chase.

It's a crutch perk. I rarely, if ever, see a good killer using it. It's always the bad killers that use NOED. The ones that chase a single person all game and then cry about how gens get done too fast when in reality they applied exactly 0 pressure to the other survivors. It's hard to respect any killer that runs NOED for this reason. The only time I personally ever use it is for end game builds, and even then it's very rare that I do.
No killer can apply the kind pressure you're asking for, unless they run meta perks or play as top tier killers. With NOED, it's easier to go for whatever build you want without basically throwing away the game before it starts. Your stereotype of NOED users isn't entirety true.

@JC316 said:
Survivors run the sweatiest perks they can find, then proceed to complain when killers do the same. I use it on a lot of killers if I don't have better perks.
Yeah, they don't think that Adrenaline or Dead Hard is a crutch perk, but let's categorize killer perks as OP or "fair".
-
@JetpackRobin said:
I mean, if it makes you happy go for it. If you are playing to have fun and that's fun for you cool. But if you are trying to get better it wont help you. I assume you arent though.
And you know of a perk that does make you better?
-
Here we go again.
-
Welcome to how survivor is meant to be played. It's why they need to bridge the gap between SWF and solo.
-
When I get a 3-4k yes. When I get a 0k regardless of how well I played, no. In conclusion, I don't love it more than I hate it.
-
They're just mad you didn't play by their rules. They threw the game and then blamed anything but themselves.
-
Play Chopped on Food Network!
-
The sensitivity is so #########. It's literally what turns an otherwise good killer into a laughing stock for survivors. They can 360 so easily and it's so effective. I want to play survivor more, I really do. But I'd rather sit a minute or two between killer games and face the bull ######### than to wait 6 minutes to get an awful team.
-
Just make his base charge time, and movement speed while charging, faster. You literally have to breathe down a survivor's neck to down them with him.
-
@gizmo said:
No one talks about her because she is balanced now. Literally the only people who cry about her are the people who played omega blink every game and couldn't play without it.
Then why didn't they just nerf omega blink? They went and nerfed her in her entirety, and now she's never seen in red ranks, whereas before she was dominant (mostly). I appreciate the devs touching her and Spirit, but they've gone so overkill. Next they'll be nerfing Hillbilly!
-
I've brought up the guessing game aspect before and what I got was "Stop guessing and start predicting." I was like, "Thanks smart ass." As a wise man named Tru3 once said before the nerfs, "They need to not touch her basekit because it's really her add-ons that make her overpowered." And he was right, and the devs were wrong, because now they've nerfed her base abilities and she's now unplayable garbage, maybe even worse than Clown.

Why are hitboxes more bigger than survivors head?, this is the reason why I always keep getting hit against huntress when I am crouched..
Oh so that's why I miss so much. The ######### arms aren't even part of the hitbox! What's next, BHVR?! Survivors' torsos aren't in the hitbox?!
-
I'm afraid that's not the case. As killer I'm constantly getting robbed of hits at windows, and then the auto aim kicks in at pallets, and 360ing is still a thing because either the game whiffs or auto aim screws it up. These should not be problems in a melee-attack based game. I came to kill, not play football, having to deal with mindgame jukes and crap.
