I'm seeing claims but no facts or evidence. I guess I shouldn't have expected more from someone who just expects everyone to agree with them always. So tell me, how is matchmaking a noticeable issue except for when it comes to queue times?
You want "evidence"? What are you, the FBI? People ought to be able to speak their experiences without having to screenshot everything. The discussion poster would be "nothing but claims" since the argument is "Killer OP" and that's it. You'd be plain ignorant to not have heard by now that survivors wait 5 minutes, and killer waits 1 minute (both are accurate approximations), to get into games. But no, just disregard comments left and right due to them failing your special standards.

Slugging to 4k is lazy and cheap. The last survivor didn't lose. They just get ######### over. The entire end game of a match is already stacked against a solo survivor. If you are so petty you have to slug because, despite your increased movement speed and ability to freely traverse the map, you are that terrified of losing one survivor through the hatch, you should probably reevaluate your life and the things that bring you joy in the world. 😂
The levels of entitlement and bias, my god! "If they team does bad, I should escape!" Every other team game in the world goes like this: the team sucks, they all lose. Instead, the survivors of this game think that "my team sucks, but I should bring home the trophy anyway." If no gens have been done, why is a survivor getting hatch fair? It's literally an undeserved escape. But you'll defend that to the death as well!

No sympathy for playing the most toxic killer in the game.. The simple fact that a killer like Plague can completely remove an entire category from the game exists is a detriment to the game. Killers complain about gen rushing, yet have no problem playing a killer that completely removes healing from the game.
Dude, are you for real? She's like bottom tier! You're forced to play instadown killers half the time anyway, because having to hit someone twice while they're looping you loses you the game because of the time wasted. I don't know what survivors have to complain about, honestly.

@LALYTHIA said:
You got DC'd on one time and suddenly the penalty hasn't made any difference? LOL right.
Maybe don't slug to 4k and they won't DC for hatch. 🤷
You're entitled to a survivor always escaping, hatch or no. It isn't an enjoyable experience for either side having to slug for the 4k. Maybe we should just remove the hatch. No more cheap, undeserved escapes for survivors. No more of these posts for you to see. Everybody's happy.
-
Yes it's always 'crying' and 'complaining' about the game, because that's just how people like to put it when it's something that's against their side. You're right on that.
-
So they're literally holding back crossplay and this proves it.

Obvious SWF judging by the mixed ranks.

Ptb Hangman's trick was a 11/10 perk. This useless dead perk was revived and turned into an amazing one. I honestly expected a nerf... but instead they just killed it again.
It was perfect as it was in the PTB, not overpowered. 11/10? Are you kidding? It's just information! It doesn't even affect survivors' gameplay! Is BBQ an 11/10 perk then?

@WheresTheGate said:
The argument that the hatch is unfair can be looked at from another angle too.
Take a match I played earlier today for example:
Within a minute of the match starting someone was downed and hooked. The 2 other survivors immediately rush to unhook. They didn't even bother to try to wait for a safe hook removal. This cycle repeated without any of them ever making any sort of real effort to do a gen. While they were playing hook roulette with the killer I worked gens. I even healed other survivors 3 times.
By the time the 3rd survivor was killed I had managed to do 3 gens by myself. No other gens were finished. As I got close to the nearest door I could see both doors were really close together, and there was Myers standing right in between them. There was no way I was going to be able to get either of those doors open because he would be able to take me down with one hit. So, I found the hatch and I escaped.
If you want to call that a free escape that's fine, but as far I'm concerned I didn't deserve a guaranteed loss just because the other survivors played a dumb game.
The price you pay for playing a team game, my friend. I don't know why the devs insist on giving a pity escape to the last guy, but literally no other game does that, for reasons so obvious I need not say them.

@chase131119 said:
What was PTB Hangman's Trick again?
I don't remember the exact stats but it was that when carrying a survivor, you'd see all other survivors' auras. You know, as an alternative to BBQ & Chili. Now, you see other survivors' auras within 4 meters of yourself while carrying a survivor. That's a downgrade beyond parody.
-
Oh heck yeah. But who would be the accompanying killer? A zombie? If we're going with Capcom properties they could use any of the monsters from the Resident Evil games. Or he could be like Bill and Ash: standalone survivors.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/144609/tunneling-is-ruining-the-game
The thing is,you will never be able to change the way people want to play the game.
If killers are tunneling you all the time then there's absolutely nothing you can do about that.Borrowed Time and D Strike only make it harder to tunnel but won't stop it.
They've helped stop what I call "true tunneling". Actual tunneling would be picking the survivor up and rehooking them after they just got off. Because of DS's 60-second invincibility, it doesn't happen anymore. The killer can slug and wait for the timer to end, but at that point 2 gens have gone and the game is lost.
-
Borrowed Time, one of the most popular surv perks in the game: Gives you a protection hit for 8?, 12?, however many seconds it is.
Decisive Strike, the most used survivor perk in the game, for the following reasons: 60 seconds where the killer can down you but not pick you up.
If the killer is tunneling you even with both of these perks, he will either get 1 kill or no kills. That is of course unless your teammates are absolute garbage AND are slow on gens.
Tunneling can never be solved. Tunnelers always lose against a decent team. So I'd suck it up and just hope it isn't you who gets tunneled.

Disagree remove the hatch will only make hold the game hostage.
No, no, no. When I play killer, I want to kill survivors. All 4 of them if possible. You will almost NEVER see a killer taking the game hostage. It just doesn't happen. Besides, survivors are the ones with more hostage taking power since they can just refuse to do gens and are not on a timer, so they hide indefinitely. Survivors can ALWAYS do gens or open exit gates instead of hide, so any game taken hostage is taken hostage by them, not the killer.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/144563/why-is-dc-tech-still-a-thing
I hate hatch as much as you do but honestly taking out hatch would be dumb if its the last survivor taking it put would be dumb. But in your situation that if a survivor dc so there teammate can get hatch is also dumb they shouldn't get rewarded for a dc just ######### on hook. But they don't need to take hatch out the game completely.
And why not? It just seems that every time I ask, my question goes unanswered. "Just keep the hatch. It's fair and balanced." How? There's a bunch of things that survivors have that give them extraordinary power over the killer, that they really don't need, and hatch is at the top of that list for me. I kill survivors 1, 2, and 3 but the 4th one has a chance at a free escape. This is a horror game, not a horror movie, so why do they have that in common with this game?: A survivor getting away for NO REASON other than them being the last one.

even with the quarentine, the game didn't have an increase in amount of players. this should concern the developers.
And that's because we're doing a service to people by telling them to "stay away". There's way better games out there that don't have half the balance problems this game has.

Considering the one death he got was a kill rather than a sacrifice, I'd wager he brought a mori and tunnelled the bottom player trying to get it. He doesn't have any perks that can cause a mori, so unless the UI bugged and gave the bottom player a kill skull instead of a sacrifice, he brought a mori and edited the screenshot to show no offerings.
"Only got one kill. Must be bad at the game, camps and tunnels." That's how people think when they don't play killer.

I haven’t been playing the PTB, but I don’t believe the killers had adjustments to their lunges. There was a bug that got fixed (January?); the bug undid Spirit and Wraiths’ lunges but, again, it got fixed. Nurse missing on lunges is probably an accuracy/timing issue. Not that her lunge needs to be increased.
There was a bug with the first lunge of a game for killer. Maybe you’re experiencing that?
No, it was a shadow nerf that happened a while back and nobody talked about it. You look at DBD like a year ago, and it's clear as day that Wraith and Spirit's lunges are shorter now.

So you basically want it to stop survivors using Items/Addons that are part of the game, have been nerfed and which players have spent their own BP on?
Red ranks, now, we're talking about red ranks. I want it to stop 5-minute games/unwinnable killer games from happening. Currently, the killer can see the medkits, flashlights, etc but they haven't the slightest clue what rarity or add-ons they're using. So essentially right now, seeing items in a lobby does nothing. If you pick a weak-average killer and the survivors bring OP stuff, oh well, you lose no matter what. If you don't bring that much gen defense because you think they're being a brown toolboxes instead of purple ones, oh well, you get a 5-minute game and lose. It's the survivors' game to lose. They can just choose whether they want to win or not. Maybe if gen speed wasn't ludicrous, the game wouldn't be like this.

and every killer could have a mori but the survivors don't get to know that, until the load screen, killers don't need any more info, and I'd rather play against a team with 4BNPs than 1 killer with an ebony,
That's a ridiculous comparison. An ebony does not disregard the chase aspect of the game. 4 BNPs would, and the gates would be open in 3 minutes. The killer can't mori who he can't down. And SWF or not, survivors can cycle through who is to be the designated looper so that the killer hooks everyone once, and by that time all the gens are done and the gates are open. You could argue that the killer can proxy camp and brute force the Borrowed, but that assumes that he's tunneling. If you have to the tunnel for moris to work, they can't be that strong. And with 4 BNPs, the survivors have to be absolute garbage for the killer to get more than 1 or 2 kills in that time.
-
@SoylentPixie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1203951#Comment_1203951
So why can't the same be said for the other role?
Because they can take it. Instead of all survivors bringing OP stuff that the killer has no idea about, it will force them to sparingly use OP stuff. Like they'll have a green toolbox with BNP but no other OP items as to not bait the killer into bringing a mori. Even without any items, survivors can escape easily, so it's not game breaking like you make it sound.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
in that case Survivors should be able to see what killer it is
at least that has merit, since it will allow counterplay
That's would kill hex perks altogether. If they know it's Plague, they won't bring medkits. Survivors seeing what the killer has would kill the role.
-
I just play the game, and the killer role, because I like it. I also dislike it, because there gets to a point where your skill is irrelevant. To get to and stay at red ranks, you have to always be in a chase (except for Hag and Trapper), tunnel and slug if necessary, and use strong killers and add-ons. Otherwise, you just get bullied. I know there's some godlike killers out there that say "I 4k all the time easy without having to do all that stuff". I won't believe them.

Survivors have it way too easy.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1202279#Comment_1202279
They were nerfed. If you actually read up on things before talking about it, you'd have known that while yes, the progression goes faster, due to its lowered durability, a toolbox will not repair as much and is overall weaker than what they were before.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1202287#Comment_1202287
Well, if we're going to talk about how a "coin flip" isn't fair, I'll just remind you that solo queueing as a survivor, is 3 coinflips made: Are my teammates good enough to have a chance at winning this, or not? So on the argument of coinflips or not, hatch is fair.
If gens are done and survivors escape through the gate, you've lost the game. Hatch existing or not has nothing to do with it. Sounds to me like you just want easy 4k's all day everyday.
None of your arguments make sense. The game is being made easier for killers by the patch. Wait a couple more and maybe you'll get your first 4k, instead of suggesting quite frankly stupid and insanely onesided ideas.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1202298#Comment_1202298
PS: This is you being bad at the game. Go against a good Billy and he'll laugh as he sees you attempt a useless 360 to dodge his chainsaw. I guarantee you.
Whatever dude. Baby survivors always complain the game isn't easy enough for them. I don't know why I try to convince them.
-
Oh my gosh, I totally understand where you're coming from! It's like you need DS, Adrenaline, Borrowed, DH, and keys every match just to stand a chance! Why should I have to loop and do gens and drop pallets? The gates should just be opened from the start! I also think killers should have no perks!

And a key is the only thing that will save your life when your team is getting slain and blowing pallets like there is no tomorrow. Then the killer finds the RNG hatch first and you just automatically die unless you get lucky with the gate spawns. I'm good with that, I would at least like to have a shot in some of my games where my team is bad. Especially these days, where urban evading noobs who can't loop are in red ranks.
And I will take an extra health state over like ~20 seconds of gen progress any day of the week.
Why do you feel that hatch is fair? Why should the killer's last kill be chalked up to a coin flip? It spawns even if no gens have been done, and closing it doesn't guarantee the win, because gates can be so far apart, the survivor escapes before the killer can get from 1 to the other. Keys are just cheating. You didn't complete the objective yet you and possibly other survivors get out for free. Keys also give bonus points for hatch escape, whereas moris make you depip.
-
@Shocktober said:
Lol, imagine complaining about toolboxes after the nerf. I would not even pick them up out of a chest to use it if I had another item, because you will get less gen progress swapping items at the chest than just doing a gen.
They are practically a meme unless it's a commodious with BNP and even then it's still worse than an instant medkit or a key.
They were buffed. Less durability, quicker progression.

SWF have the ability to counter camping. But solo queue definitely needs some type of anti-camping buff for survivors. My personal suggestion is to have a baseball bat spawn in pre-determined locations on every map that survivors can equip like a regular item. Its a one-time use item that stuns the killer for 5 seconds which is enough to grab someone off the hook and take a hit in the process.
This would especially be useful when there's only two survivors left and the killer is camping one of em.
Bait.

You shouldn't break a pallet if you don't need to. It wastes valuable seconds.

it would be nice to have as a killer main saying it but I’m a survivor main as well and on both sides it can be difficult cause when I’m survivor and the gates are to close and I’m the last 1 alive and killer camps them, it’s unfair. But as killers I feel likes it’s unfair when there far apart cause then by the time I’ll get there the gates all ready opened, but to be honest and fair I don’t think the devs can fix this without making people still disappointed and not only that they will have to give all maps a rework and my god.. another LERY’S rework, it will just take to long especially cause they will be reworking every map in the game for the breakable walls and a new visual look possibly.
Oh yeah, they definitely need to add breakable walls to the indoor maps. It takes so long to get from one gate to another.
