Oh....Well there's way to many Jills,Leons, and Claire's in the pepperoni right now. Every match it's bombs on gens whenever I go to kick them. It's so annoying ! Nor can I tell the 4 Leons apart.

I realize pepperoni doesn't make sense in this context. But it doesn't have to follow the dictionary definition. It can mean whatever I want it to mean. In this case. Pepperoni = The game

    ............😂😂😂😂🤣🤣

If you bought the tome they already have your money. I would recommend not doing that until you know the patch is playable to a satisfactory level. You can always buy the tome after and get all your stuff for the levels you reached.

In either case, yeah I agree they should extend it.

This is a great idea. I will also add they made this one easier and I barely need the 4th entry. I got hooked on two other games and been barely playing and only need few levels. Normally I am like scraping by finishing last day or two before it ends only playing dbd.

Okay so what about making it hidden when offerings are showed?

Sorry did not see your 2nd question. Bot killers is just another way of calling them trash, shiit, robots, dik sticks, tunnel nuggets, bum smackers, and just overall twats. Many meanings but you get the point I made sure.

  • @LylakLavender said:

Okay so what about making it hidden when offerings are showed?

50/50. If your killer camps with streamers he was going to camp regardless. Better to leave visible for the good ones that try to maximize points (like myself) so they know. Also it's very exciting for me kind of like a lottery drawing as all offering are being flipped praying for streamers. I'm guessing you would want the same for cakes and that would really suck during the event to not know if any were played.

  • @LylakLavender said:

So my husband and I were talking, and it seems useless to use party streamers. Most of the time if a killer sees someone using party streamers they tend to become more hostile and camp more to get max points. It's understandable however most of the time the person who uses it gets way less points since the game ends quick. We were thinking why not make them an item that is hidden like some offerings that killers and survivors use. Opinions would be appreciated. This is just an idea.

That's just random bad luck. ######### killer I would be grateful myself not saying you wouldn't be dead first or anything. Also camping does not get you more points so you just get bot killers.

The game isnt so bad especially with wraith and his do everything fast addon to break pallets quickly 🤣 but haddonfield without a stealth killer is just a poorly designed map 😛

An trapper geez. There are some fantastic things you can do with bear traps on that map. The sides of each house are so small there is no way to dodge it, plenty of grass to conceal as well. I like it with him anyhow but thats it.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

Midwich is not a decent map. It is way way too polarizing for that.

For some Killers, Midwich is basically a free win. Killers who can heavily mitigate holding Shift + W have an easy time. Killers who's powers can largely negate the kind of bad pallets found on that map also have a field day here.

For other Killers, it is a raging dumpster fire of suck. Any killer that doesn't have or bring a way to counter Survivors just running around the hallways is in for a terrible time.

That doesn't even get into the issues Survivors can have with finding gens and just general navigation of the map. It's so symmetrical and lacking in landmarks that it is very difficult to keep track of where exactly you are.

Some of the roster I have yet and think I will never lose on that map. then there are some where it's like I hear you up there on the gen but let me walk way down this hallway, up the stairs, back down the hall gen pops. Overall I like it though.

  • I run ruin on twins it is so fun to chase everyone off with vik and regress gens. I ran surveillance on them too but for the life of me can't remember if I could see it with vik. It's hard making a twins build sometimes half the ######### don't work with vik.

  • I love ruin as both killer and don't mind it as survivor tend to find it early or power through.

I still have not ran undying ruin but did try Thrill/ruin on nemesis for a minute and it was garbage. I prefer ruin by itself I have better luck that way if I'm going to add to ruin it will be tink or surveillance. My blight build pop, thana, bbq, and infectious and do just fine but then I run ruin by itself on lots of killers. I do backwards ######### sometimes but it's fun to make it work.

  • @DanielPaint said:

What's with this weird trend? I noticed it by blight, twins and nemises. First they get trash talked and then for some reason there S-A tier for everyone because Streamer or Youtuber X said he's good.

The opposite by clown but same scenario. First everyone loved the buff and because again Youtuber or Streamer X said he's still bad and everyone is now seeing it like that.

Well if it makes you feel better I don't think nemesis is A-tier. Could care less who says he is as well.

Not sure why but i love The Game as killer. Haddonfield meh but i do like it with trapper it decent map for him. Playing on the sun is no fun cant stand it.

  • Sure maybe. Just my perspective but i worry when my grind is done my dbd career is almost over. Did you not read what I wrote? I don't prestige and it doesn't really matter because prestiging takes no effort compared to... You know, just getting perks.

Yes i read what you wrote. I referenced every route in my response not just yours or did you not read all that? Not going to do the back and forth game the grind is what is. Wish i could sell unwanted ######### sure but they dont care, and honestly there should be a grind. Theres a lot of characters and if you wanted everything in the game it should take some time.

  • @MadLordJack said:

The grind is not optional, I tested p3ing a character myself and the amount of time to get to P3 wasn't even close to the amount of time to get all perks.

No one has to prestige though that is OPTIONAL. Every perk on your character is optional you only need 4 your good with on a character. The major grind P3 with every perk is optional. Level 50 with all perks aint bad with bbq/wglf, offerings, bp codes, and events.

  • Grind is optional no one has to prestige. Not sure how thats all you have though. Been playing a little over a year and all my killers are P3 except 4 newest. Twins P2 rest P1 including nemesis. Have all survivors leveled to 40 with Nancy P3, Zarina P2, and about 5 P1. I also feel a gm without bbq/wglf is a waste of a game so that helps. Were people screw up is doing a bunch of levels of 50 then deciding to prestige. No point in investing past 50 if you prestiging.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/259712/why-tunnelling-is-problem-genrush-is-not

Gen rushing almost never happens in the first place. You would have to be facing a good 4 man swf going for the win. Tunneling and camping, on the other hand, takes 0 brainpower or skill.

Tunneling/camping at the start yes. Tunneling out a weak link at 1-2 gens left is strategic, camping in endgame and getting multiple kills is masterful, Hooking 2 near each other and keeping an eye on it another good strategy all of which I use if having a bad game. Always start going for 12 hooks is what i do.

  • @Dennis_van_eijk said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2295980#Comment_2295980

Like i said it was before the wraith got his changes, so lethal pursuer was not there yet lol.

But yeah that they spawned on different gens was obvious and i don't complain about that.

I had to mention that it were 4 toolboxes from which 3 of them used bnp tho, my bad.

And yes number 4 had some progress but was no more than 5s.

The fact that they used multiple perks to speed up the repair progress also helped them especially when the 3 got done cause all they had to do was stick together on a gen.

And I don't mind when 3 gens pop that happens and sometimes you get back from that and sometimes you don't.

The fact 4 gens were done under 5 minutes is definitely considered gen rush, maybe not to you but i think for most of the community it does whether survivor or killer.

About 99% of the time it's on the killer when gens get done fast, but there are instances where the killer is just powerless.

In my game i shouldn't have won at all, they had split the gens perfectly to get it done.

But they messed up and that was only luck for me.

But for me any game where 4 or 5 gens are done under 5 minutes is a gen rush, but these games are very rare

You didn't mention any perks or toolboxes when those are in play yes the community call that the true definition of gen-rushing and the only kind. The rest is just bad maps, spawns, and mixed variables of perks/killer used oh and of course applying pressure.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2295732#Comment_2295732

I kinda agree but also a bit disagree.

Gen rush is definitely a thing ,tho it's often used as an excuse.

But there are games there where gens pop just to damn fast.

Small example was before wraiths changes, and I'm not saying I'm the best with him or anything but i am pretty darn good with him.

The game starts and i find a survivor within a few seconds, who apparently didn't know how to loop (indeed red ranks yes) on Thompson house.

She went down in about 30s give or take a few.

When i carry her to the basement,as luckily that was the closest, 2 gens already popped and the moment I'm on top of the stairs again the 3rd gen popped.

At that moment i already thought it was gg, cause yeah 1 hook and 3 gens lost already in a stupidly short time.

The 4th was pretty fast as well while i was chasing another survivor as I don't like staying at the hook and just want as many hooks as possible.

I believe that was a little over 3 to 4 minutes where i lost 4 gens already and only 2 hooks.

At that point it should've been over for me, but they suddenly went stupid or something.

They all focussed on 1 gen in the middle and didn't care about the one's in both corners of the map.

From that point it snowballed downhill for them and still got by some miracle 12 hooks 🤷🏼‍♂️

But yeah point is, gen rush definitely exist but not as often as many claim to be

Nope. They were more than likely spawn separately (without the offering lol) and didn't have to work for that pressure hence they spawned in different areas. Lethal pursuer would have shown you that at the beginning. Chased/Downed one while 3 on gens what's going to happen? The guy you chased may have a bit on a gen as well in the worst of outcomes meaning progress on 4 gens from the start but they still have to get that last one. 1 Gen left/end game a lot of work can be put in still for sure.

  • If you can't stand tunneling that much play the bots in tutorial.

If you can't stand when gens pop faster then you like, play the bots in tutorial.

Those bots won't do either of those and you can have fun.

Rest of us will be playing however we want when we want.

    Fukin Bots.

  • I hate noed and all but get rid of it? C'mon you can't be serious even if it activates it's just one bone. On top of that get rid of it and what happens to endgame builds (btw is that free kills too?) noed, remember me, BW, and that useless one trickster has? No way out lol that's it lets block the gate while there running to it, unhooking, healing, etc. Even if they get there and it is blocked oh just wait 3 more seconds and your good to go! Play your game DEVS.

  • I like freds new rework I get less hate mail now. As for Clown (I am no clown main) but I personally love his one on one find it best in the game (IMO) assuming hindered works of course problem is the game is 4 vs 1 so. Still he is fun and my go to in custom matches against lobby full of friends.

Wraith - I have not played him a tremendous amount but the 4-5 games I played with tier 1/2 not so good perks has him in A-tier on my list. Top 5 on my personal list top 10 overall I think he better than slinger why he cracked top 10. Mobility, ease of use, and powerful add-ons put him past slinger to me.

  • @konchok said:

Gen rush is seriously the silliest thing I've ever heard of, I even had a game yesterday where the survivors brought me to Ormond, and brought 2 BNPs and had the first gen done before I could get to the generator with Blight. And you know what, that's the only generator they got done.

You can't just win this game by completing gens quickly. The games that I lose tend to be against 4 solid survivors that don't make mistakes. Survivors without a weak link in the group is way more impactful than a group that's out to rush generators.

I don't believe in gen rushing either. I do however look at all things (try to) from everyone's perspective so to that point when I'm Blight there is a much different level to what I can do then lets say trapper (who I love and am pretty good with) and find my games more smooth. All I'm saying is there's a whole roster out there and Blight at his worst is considered 3rd/4th best killer out there. Can traverse the map very very quickly and when he gets rolling is hard to slow down. Also two BNP on one generator is already a mistake so they were not the brightest anyhow.

  • Ya I like the t-virus (considerable mutation when killing zombies) then he has another green that makes no sense to me Moderate mutation bonus (when killing zombies) but then your zombies get a debuff to respawn time? Seems backwards if one is going to have a negative why not the considerable. The undetectable for 15 secs I found use for other than that they are all butt-crack for sure.

Solos are nice when you don’t get braindead teammates

At least not 3 of them. One sure but when you get 3 could be a terrible killer and it just does not matter when everyone hides and does nothing, or brings killer to gen/hook.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Oh, dont worry, they will nerf Dead Hard at some point. And then you will reconsider your opinion if you want to verse Sprint Burst. Sprint Burst, unlike Dead Hard, makes every area safe, because you can actually gain distance and make it to a Pallet or Window, unlike Dead Hard, which is not useful in Deadzones.

And IMO it is more frustrating to approach a Gen, having the Survivor sitting on it as long as possible and making it to safety regardless due to Sprint Burst.

Well said. I'll take 4 DH over 4 SB all day. Drives me nutz those ones that just SB to shack soon as there SC goes off or they here my terror radius getting 40+ meters of distance. I don't even bother I kill the rest and wait for my moment later F that.

  • @slunder said:

I often see killers complaining that they are to weak. However, they are not. They have easy strategies that do not require that much talent to pull of.

If survivors are bad, then you win.

But what is the survivors are good loopers? Then the killer can simply catch someone and facecamp him. About 2 gens should be done at this point. Most of the time, other survivors will try to rescue the hooked survivor and if you simply face-camp and you are not a complete beginner (or have a one shot) there is no rescuing. But if they do generators, then you will get one kill and the exits will be powered. With Noed, you can down and facecamp the next survivor and there, you have your second kill! It is a draw even if the survivors are better than you!

So most of the time you win, but with easy strategies you will have a draw at worst. You can never lose as killer with these strategies + a very basic level of skill.

Here is a counter-argument you may have:

-"It involves getting hate messages, so this strategy is not that good". Killers can simply disable the chat or block any survivor that added him without reading the messages, besides this does not force a defeat upon a camper it just makes him feel annoyed after the game.

So no, survivors are not op, because killers can simply use simple strategies to draw or win every game.

    Boring comes to mind.

I don't have meta perks on survivors. most of my survivors have been prestiged, just started, or bloodweb won't give them to me and I'm still in red ranks playing solo and I only play survivor maybe 30% of my game time. Every once in a while I will have a 2nd but NGL I prefer solos better as long as I'm not on a hook......

I don't like using youtubers when defending my viewpoint because it depends on the youtuber, right? Ohtofu says that killers just need to be good at applying pressure. Yes maybe the first two gens might fast but a good killer can snowball pressure. I agree with him but it doesn't make that fact.

Good to see someone who knows that the phrase "gen rushing" doesn't make sense. All in all we agree on something which is crazy for these forums. :)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2295093#Comment_2295093

Agreed. Devs have a lot to fix in this game.

Not a big fan of streamers actually. Sometimes when I'm feeding a baby I watch one and when RE was in PTB naturally I wanted to see clips/videos. I came across Scott's video on the spawn point topic and thought at the time Yeah maybe but sure I'll try the perk for a while when it comes out. That is when I was convinced is from my game play and what I see in my own games with my eyes because he only showed one example in the video I seen and I always have been the type to think/do my own thing. To the point though aside from trashcans who tunnel/camp from the start (I really hate that) everything is just a strategy to win the game. I feel the games killers feel gens flew off the board are most likely these games were the survivors spawned separately. That's 3-4 gens being worked on right from the start, in 3-4 locations, and hard to "Just apply pressure" to that. It's not gen rushing, messing with gen times won't be good, all I know is survivors spawning separated is an offering that apparently gets played at random by the Devs.

  • @kingbojenbo said:

    What's gen rushing?

Survivors have one objective and when they complete the objective, it's unfair?

The speeds are not an issue and slowing them down would not be a good idea. Blame the devs.

Agreed 100%. The problem is spawn points proven by their new perk Lethal Pursuer. Scott pointed this out before release and every game I ran it there was only 1 game where 2 survivors spawned together. Spawn points are giving free pressure in 2-4 different locations right from the start. That''s the problem not gen times you are right as a whole I just filled in the blanks for you.

Same, apart from the killing part (haven't played killer). I've requested screenshots and/or recordings of these instances, but nobody has provided any so far.

They only give me killer rituals. So had to play a few this weekend but Ya that was it. Killer is a mess right now and survivor where I'm at has instant que's. As long as you don't play nemesis the game is decent just some minor spikes (console player). Let a nemesis come to the party and I'm just running into walls and #########.

  • I know weirdest part I find tunneling just uhhhhhhh. Reason being they pop 3 quick gens and you target weakest out real quick to make that time up is smart/strategic. Tunneling the weakest or anyone right off start (I seen lots of red ranks do this weekend) is just straight trash. I don't really sweat it anyhow even if they manage to pop all 5 gens and have 3-4 alive at that point endgame is a whole other game and they will fuk it up. 1k turns to 2k, 2k turns to 3k, etc and hell might even get them all. You should always be able to get at least one in endgame.

OP is saying that even one person wearing the LGBT Pride charm immediately turns that trial into a farming game, or that people with the charm are more likely to be left alive. In other words, the exact opposite of what you're talking about.

I have yet to see any of that. Yet to kill anyone and them bring up a charm, yet to see a bunch try to farm and even if they did I wouldn't go looking at there charms. I let 2 survivors live over the weekend both on death hook (never looked at charms) because it was a Nancy and a Steve. The fact those two ended up last two alive plus being a stranger things fan said what the hell. But charms? This is funny.

Bamboozle is definitely a strong perk but it's not an S tier machine. And no Tinkerer is useless on the 4.4s minus a Spirit with some add-ons.

Lol grabs of a gen by slinger with tink happens often Hell happens to me and i play 70% killer. You dont have to go to every tinkered generator just the ones you close enough too rest of time gives info on where survivors are and far along and my fav procs in chase which ends the Chase almost instant. As for bamboozle all i said was it wasnt overrated no one said anything about and S tier perks as there arent many of those anyhow.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

For all of you saying all these killer perks are so OP and there's too many dead zones. Trust me that's not why you're loosing. Assuming your as decent as you sound it's your teammates to why you're loosing. And trust me no amount of nerfs to these "crutches" will fix this issue simply because you can't change what your teammates do. And I'll name a few examples and I'll show you why this is the case. Yes, after a why killrates are high post I figured to make this.

1.Plague with Corrupt and Ruin on Azarov's resting place. So it started normally everyone walking around to see what's happening. And I hopped on the first gen I saw. So I saw it was Plague. Decided to run and waste her time was with someone else. Instead of running she sat in a corner like nothing would happen. That same teammate also decided to cleanse right away that started a snowball of other teammates cleansing at all the wrong times and location. Yeah that gen was regressing but being a Autohaven I knew I'd find the totem quickly. But oddly enough one of my teammates found it after another ran right by it . Remember kids not hard to find bones. That Plague would've lost because she hadn't a done by Corrupt but teammates gave her too much corrupt purge. And they didn't know to loop the fun bus. Yikes. And the basic waste pallet behavior. But the pinnacle moment came when and I'm not kidding. After downed with Corrupt purge and picked up with two gens left. My TEAMMATE decided to Self-Care not healing perks no Med-Kits they Self-Cared against a killer you don't wanna heal against. I lost faith. It was a 4k because of teammates.

2.Bubba with Tinkerer and Bamboozle on Thompson house actually started of well then I saw a No Mither already in trouble but still a overall survivor map. So the Bubba got to our gen first was able to force an M1 though and Balance landed to the house. Where I was able to waste some good time. Only 1 gen got done. Even though two other teammates started on another gen and hid for a while moment they heard the TR. Surprisingly enough didn't see the Tinkerer for a while since Bubba isn't the best candidate for Tinkerer but was smart and set on a gen where I could see it. But later story. So got two gens eventually. Someone was hooked and waited for Bubba to leave wasn't even one who camped or tunneled. So first unhook was successful I had We'll make it a David decide to heal also so got away. But a Nea healed decided to run into the open instead of a nearby loop. Against a Bubba. So I body blocked for this Nea so Bubba dropped her and chase me. So he went back Nea wasn't dead on hook. And literally the David and No Mither Steve clumped on her. Three slugs. I waited patiently and waited for The Bubba to leave Nea would end up dying but David and Steve got away. So we fixed gens was able to lead the Bubba some more. He pushed me and David who had Prove Thyself. Led the Bubba to the shack he bamboozled it but Bamboozle is overrated and simply ran to the harvester. That whole time the David was too busy crouching in the TR and didn't fix the gen. And the Steve was failing skill checks on the top house. The Steve would die because he didn't anticipate Tinkerer and failed too many skill checks and died. So me and David were on the second to last gen since he had Prove Thyself and we were next to Harvester and Shack. We'd be fine but David decided since his Spine Chill went one second he left. That bubba would get me. We could've finished that gen have a trade off and finish one last gen. But David played too cautious. 4k for the Bubba

So listen I'm loosing games not because of killers, perks or maps. I'm loosing because of teammates and some poor optimization. But in the end PGTW, Ruin, Tinkerer all these "busted perks" shouldn't be nerfed they only work since your teammates are bad and do stupid things like this. So don't nerf these perks because it won't matter if you have teammates who don't take risks or have poor knowledge on how to face killers. That's why kill rates are high.

I stopped reading when you said Bamboozle was overrated. Also Tinkerer can be used on anyone just because it's better on some don't mean it's useless on the rest.

I understand that and I think the game is fair enough, but yet there are constant complaints from both killers and survivors.

I don't understand killer complaints at all because I think the game is killer sided (but being a horror game, it should be). What I don't understand is the survivor complaints other than maybe when our perks get nerfed or killers constantly complain and we lose the few advantages we do have. However, again...it is a horror game so if we don't get a lot of advantages, I get that because we aren't meant to have them. However it would be nice to have more abilities that feel more life-like (more than just crouching or vaulting) that allow for us to hide more. I'm not the best at running a killer and since our only defense is pallets (which after they fall and get broken...they're gone) or flashlights (which I'm awful at), it would be nice to have more life-like actions to have more hiding spots because closets fall me almost every single time. Other than that...I don't understand why people complain so much about a game that's based off of a genre where killers win.

I love your aspect on the game. I agree with most of the things you said however the game only looks killer sided because of your rank. Spirit and nurse are the exceptions

Have the killers always been able to see the survivors they're going up against? I've only played for roughly five months, so I'm still learning old DBD vs what I'm playing.

Second, would they ever allow for survivors to see the killer and if not, why?

Killers can see survivors but we can’t see killer. It’s just another thing killers get so they don’t riot.

When you new it tells you the killer when your loading in. Seeing the Killer is an advantage for survivors as each killer is different and requires different gameplay of some kind. Seeing survivors dont matter there just skins outside of items/sounds they make.

Because the game broke and even on my PC sometimes has freezes, does it mean nobody is allowed to talk about anything else at all ever again?

Great contribution to the topic at hand, I believe there are like 100 posts about the fact that when the game has a major update everything goes down the drain.

Theres been 100 topics of this too. X was mean to me so now Y is going to be mean back. Whatevs.

  • This game is been broke since the new chapter came out. Hard to play for most just ridiculous on console and this is what you're worried about. Just play the damn game.

Really? Lol. What else would survivors do? Should they wait in the corner until you down a few to start their objective? You cant be serious.

Really? Lol. His problem was the spawn points putting all the survivors on separate gens right from the start. A known issue already real question should be "Really? LOL. DC/afk at the beginning of the game over a spawn point? BRUHHHHHH. This broken spawn point ######### didn't just start you are just now able to see it. Play the damn game.

Trickster is a pretty horrid killer. Relatively weak, tends to struggle on several of the maps, and gets the worst bonus ability (Main Event) of any killer in the game. He's also kinda like Ghost Face in that he gets a handful of useful add-ons and a bunch that are mostly junk.

All that said, he is pretty fun to mess around with. Probably not a killer that you want to "main" due to his issues (just pulling out knives sometimes causes stuttering on console), but he's entertaining enough for mixing things up in-between playing other killers you like.

If you do pick him up though, I'd highly recommend throwing Iron Maiden into your builds. Trickster feels much more enjoyable with the sped-up reload thanks to that perk.

Yes and with the influx of Leon's Iron maiden goes off quite a bit at the current time. I'm getting 1-3 downs a game off IM alone but that was with my ONI. His perks at the current time are just terrible IM should not be in his build but was a great surprise to see how much it procs thanks to Leon.
