Huntress is free on Steam, or was when I purchased the game.
Yes, she is free on every console but when she was released I still had to download a free key to unlock her from the PS store.

Freddy requires playing very differently to be honest and when I'm going against one I usually play very safe and (kind of) scared. I like dropping pallets early to avoid the dream snares being effective. I feel like if I played more games against him though there would be definite deaths.
As for the overall survival rate, I counted 59 escapes out 99 games. Which is 59.6%.

Nice! I doubt I'm anywhere close to 60%. Probably between 40-45%. I'll have to keep track and make sure to discard any tainted games like you did (DCs, hook suicides).

It's been a long time since i've seen nightmare on elmstreet 2, can you tell me why it's one of the "'gayest" movies? I remmeber that Heather is sort of an icon as the female leading role in the movie.
Nancy isn't in 2. It's about Freddy trying to take over a guy's body and him struggling against that. The writer and the actor were both gay and intended for the story to be a metaphor for a high school guy coming to terms with his sexuality.

The cat's kind of out of the bag if PYRAMID HEAD is going to be in the game.
So much in Silent Hill 2 is about sex, attraction, desire, repression, etc. Even darker themes involving the character Angela. Maria herself is like the embodiment of sexuality.
Pyramid Head's introduction is him engaging in some kind of sexual act with a mannequin. His whole purpose is to punish James, in part due past actions that were a direct result of his sexual urges.
Also, you guys have seen Scream, Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm Street, right? Plenty of sexuality in those movies. NoES 2 is one of the gayest horror movies ever made.

It's the fact that they're stripping away their current individuality (IF they reveal a current character on the roster) from what they are, and what they connect right now to turn them into a stereotype.
I connect with Meg, even though I'm a dude and into dudes.
She's into dudes (hopefully), she's an athlete, I'm an athlete, we both have single moms, etc.
I don't want her changed. And knowing companies who pander, they literally turn the pander scale from 0 to 100.
Why is it okay for you to say you hope Meg is straight but if somebody else hopes she's gay, then that's wrong?

That's not an opinion, it's a fact. Do you really think Bhvr is going to post an update saying "You know what? It appears some people on the internet are upset about this so even though we just made a big point to say we'll include LGBT characters and we have been celebrating Pride month for the last two weeks, we're gonna now pull a complete 180. Sorry, our bad!"
So you can either get over your discomfort and continue playing the game, or you can play something else.

When a killer brings an ebony mori and they are tunneling hard to get their kills I just suicide on hook. No reason to keep feeding them emblems and BP if they're gonna play on easy mode.

How? It takes like 14 seconds to cleanse a totem and 8 seconds in the locker. That's 22 seconds altogether. Faster than Self Care without a medkit but longer than healing with a medkit or by a teammate. There are only 5 totems and you cannot stack them so by the time you get 1 use out of it all of the other totems could be gone.
It's one of the most balanced perks in the game.

What is this obsession with rank, pipping and depipping? I don't even look at the emblem screen 90% of the time. The other 10% is because I'm doing an emblem tome challenge.
Also you say "full ranking tier above me" as if that means anything. If you are 1 pip away from red ranks those survivors would still be a "full ranking tier" above you. You seem to focus on pips when you want and dismiss them when they don't fit your argument.
Also, 8 games? People do 2-3 times that amount in a single session sometimes. I've had several games in a row where I was hard camped and if I wanted I could start tracking during that stretch of games to skew the results to what I wanted them to say.

@Dehitay is ultimately correct about the leveling system. Though it would be neat if we got a little something extra to sort of commemorate each level of devotion, like some auric cells or a border for our steam id/gamer tag/psn username that got progressively more intricate.

Very well said. Recently an acquaintance of mine was complaining that Mortal Kombat was "getting a bit too PC." How, you might ask? By adding too many female characters that contribute to the games' plot. 🤦

Would be cool if it boosted the pallet dropping speed by 15% or so.
I think AMN is a neat concept but it's too difficult to balance because if the c/d is too long then the perk is nearly useless and if the c/d is too short then it's too strong. I don't think there's an ideal length tbh

Nah it's fine how it is. If it ruins the horror aspect then.. don't use it. If you're the killer then.. don't look directly at a survivor you're trying to sneak up on.

Nah it's not an experience problem at all. You know I had to play over 100 ranks to hit devotion 1? I've had this game for about 2 years. I've got the playtime in and I have experience. It's more of a let's punish the killer for our mistakes type of meta.

I think you'll learn to be a better survivor without it. SC used to be locked into my load out but now I never use it. I'd rather bring a medkit and/or Iron Will.
