So you have your interpretation of a single comment as an example of "plenty of people", and refuse to link to my supposedly divisive comments. I think I can extrapolate from that.
I'm not going to go though a bunch of whiny topics about killers or survivors and find specific ones for you. If you haven't seen any then you're not looking or you filter them out though your own bias.

Link me to the comments where people say that, as well as my supposedly divisive comments.
The other person I replied to in my original comment said "killers being 'toxic' is killing survivors," the implication being they are not toxic because obviously completing their only objective cannot be toxic. And then he went on to list the many ways survivors can be toxic.
As for your comments? No thanks. They're out there for all to see.

I said "only survivors have threatened my family and children" because it is an objective fact. It's my experience, there's nothing more to say. I didn't say only survivors were toxic. In fact, nobody has ever said that.
Actually plenty of people have said that. And you make divisive comments about survivors vs killers pretty frequently on this forum.

It's psychological. Look up groupthink, tribalism, and other phenomena associated with being part of a group. That's what differentiates survivors from killers.
Yeah, I know what they are and agree that they play a part. But if that's your explanation then you're blaming the psychology of being in a group. You don't explain that nuance when you say things like "Only survivors." So a legitimate point about the power of groupthink is lost and all people on the forums see is a divisive comment.
I'll tell you what I think. I think that a lot of people are angry. They are fighting with their significant other, their parents either don't care about them or they're overbearing, they are bullied in school, their kids don't listen to a word they say, their boss or co-workers are incompetent, etc. Whatever reason for any particular person, sometimes a lot of them. There's a lot of reasons to be angry in life, unfortunately. So video games are used as an escape. All that anger and resentment in their life that they can't unleash on their boss or coworkers, their parents or kids, their teachers or peers.. they redirect towards the devs, survivors or killers. If they can control one damn thing in life it should be their experience in a video game! So they play DBD and something triggers them. A bug, lag, a hit that absolutely should/shouldn't have connected but didn't/did, a survivor they just can't catch or a killer they just can't escape. Whatever. And all that anger and resentment from their lives comes out. In a group, it's much easier and safer. And there are statistically more survivors. But survivors can't hit back, they can't kill a killer. So even though they have the safety of a group, the killer has the ability to attack and kill, while knowing that survivors can't do the same. I think there are psychological things going on for both roles that allow them to release their anger. Survivors can't attack, so they use words more often. Killers don't have a group, so they target a single survivor and torture them on the hook or on the ground. No need to threaten somebody's life when you get to actually kill a digital representation of them in a video game.
We're all just people.

In my experience as someone who plays both on Ps4 I've had many more toxic survivors than killers.
A killer being 'toxic' is killing the survivors.
A survivor is clicking flashlights, tbagging, hanging in the exits, pointing, etc. None of those things have anything to do with game play.
And as far as I can tell, End Game Collapse was added specifically because so many survivors acted like jerks, no?
"A killer being 'toxic' is killing the survivors."
Lol no. Toxic killers repeatedly hit you on the hook, Mori spam you, slug you and stare at you until you bleed out or the Entity takes you in EGC, tbag as Pig or Ghost Face, ring bell in front of hook as Wraith, chainsaw you over and over again on hook as Leatherface, throw hatchets at you on hook as Huntress, etc.
Survivors can be awful, but they are not fundamentally different people than killers. Look past your own bias.
@Orion said:
It's not just you. No killer has ever threatened my family and children, for example. Only survivors have done that.
Never in my video game playing experience has anyone threatened me or my family. A few told me to commit suicide but that's just an edgy thing for some kids to say. Sorry you ran into some #########, but they're part of life. What do you think is different about survivors at a fundamental level where they are the type to make threats, and not killers? And what about people who play both? Did you make sure that the ones who threatened you can be officially qualified as "survivor mains?" And by whose standard?
It's like getting mugged by a couple of people of a certain ethnicity and proclaiming that "Only those people mug me! Nobody else!"

Most survivors that I encounter with this combo also use unbreakable.
I've never once seen that combo personally. Regardless, these are all perks that can only be used once in limited situations. A lot of the time you'll never be able to use one of them, never mind all three.
-
Great idea! @Sairek yours too.

@FrenziedRoach said:
DS should go inactive if the killer hits anybody else, PERIOD.
😆
Just hit the unhooker right after the unhook then go after the DS user because their perk is now useless. Great idea.

@theArashi said:
In chases yes, but not in TR.
Killer can chase other survivor in the meantime.
I'd also welcome seeing it disabled if survivor attempts action like unhooking other survivor as it's silly at the moment.
I think they should disable DS if a survivor moves at all during the trial.
Come on with all these unnecessary restrictions some of you want to put on this perk. People basically want to add so many conditions that it'll become unusable 90% of the time.

I feel like it might be reinstalling the whole game for some reason. My update on PS4 was 300MB or so.

On console to increase performance. Idk about PC.

I don't understand why anyone rags on people for buying survivors based on their perks. They don't have powers, their perks are literally their content. And how many people bought Leatherface for his perks?

The last thing it needs is a buff. If anything a total rework. All it does is encourage camping

In no way comparable, you can't randomly get them during the match, you can easily tell when a killer has it, you don't keep them, you can't use offerings to increase the uses and also: unrelated to the discussion
Nope.

I'm sick of moris.

Because lots of those types of threads involve whining and entitlement. I've seen good goodbye threads. They don't have to be an angry rant. It's just a video game.

Does a Feral Frenzy hit work with NOED? I'm assuming no.

This is a cool idea... I thought of something similar to it.....
Something like this would be great solo.... imo maybe a weaker version could be base to help allo out and close the gap a little between solo and SWF
And maybe with offerings or something then you can get more out of it. .......
#gesturescanbemore!
That's a good idea too!

I'm assuming the person making the action has their aura shown and the item their pointing at gets the notification? This should require that the item is extremely close to the surv because it's be a bit ridiculous if I load in, point in every direction until I ping something I can't even see due to load distance. I like the idea though
You'd have to be within like 3m or something and have clear sight of it.
The aura of the item is shown unless you beckon towards yourself, then only you aura would be shown.

Adrenaline was already nerfed from two health states to one. It's fine. I don't even run it because I have no interest in the "no heal" meta and 75% of the time I brought it I never got a chance to use it. Either because I didn't make it to the end, I got out with the hatch or I was already at full health and not in a chase. You are giving up a perk slot for the fairly slim possibility that you'll be able to use it and it actually accomplishes something.
-
Thanks! I'm glad someone liked it. As a solo survivor I'd use it. There are many situations where I spot the hex totem but can't do it because the killer is coming or I found the hatch and have a key but don't want to leave teammates behind, etc. It would also be a good way to say "hey I'll be working on this gen, come on over."
-
You are not paraphrasing, you are changing what I said to serve your agenda. I'm done with this.
-
Given how high her skill ceiling is, she's the right amount of difficult. Not every killer needs to be able to be mastered by every player.

Where does it say "too hard?" Please point it out for me.

@BBQnDemogorgon said:
@Grim She does need a buff. Especially for consoles as @brokedownpalace said too hard for most to play.
Lol. I didn't say "too hard." Don't put words in my mouth.
-
That's because she's hard to master. Plenty of people, me included, try to play her and get 0 kills. Notice the discrepancy between console and PC Nurse, as well?
-
@knell said:

The problem is, the developers don't know what the killers are being tweaked against. What are the killers being balanced against? Solo players? Or SWF players who are capable of having plethora of information that are not given to them from the game, but from each other?
The Nurse is too strong? Against what, solos or SWF?
The Trapper is too weak? Against what, solos or SWF?
As so long as SWF have any advantage over Solos, the killers are never going to be able to be appropriately balanced.
I agree with you but either they don't see it that way or they're being told to focus on other things by higher ups.

The Doctor is literally one of the worst killers, I don't think you should really be asking for an indirect nerf to him. Besides, maybe if people took Small Game, NOED would never proc.
He's actually not. Just because you can't personally master him doesn't mean he's one of the worst.
And your second point is irrelevant to my topic.
-
They've been thinking about bringing the gap for years now. It's not a priority for them and given how many killers they still need to tweak and maps they need to rework I'm not sure it will be anytime soon.
-
@Pulsar said:
Small game reveals Freddy's snares and pallets. Rainbow Map reveals them as well, as they count as Killer belongings.
Small Game is not worth the perk slot most of the time. Rainbow map is an ultra rare item. I'm talking about increasing the use of the green map. Regardless, neither helps with the Doctor.

I'm not sure what your skill in OTHER, completely different games has to do with your skill in this game. Because you're good at shooters you think that should help you here?

That'd be cool.
And both can certainly be done.
True, true.
-
I'd love to be able to speed up the end game once you're the last survivor and the killer slugs you and you literally can't do anything. That takes up to 4 minutes. I consider that a higher priority over having to wait 1 minute as a killer when it gives me time to break pallets or set traps or chainsaw around. Or.. I go to the bathroom or look at my phone. It's a minute.
-
@fcc2014 said:
@brokedownpalace LOL i remember that it was around fall. That was so horrible. So many killers were running agitation and iron grasp.
You could be half way across the map and teleport back to a corner of the basement.
Oh my god, I totally forgot about the exploiting killers did during that bugfest. Sometimes you literally could not avoid the basement.
-
There was a patch like a year+ ago that made lag when unhooking absolutely insane. Survivors could not escape the basement. You would run up the stairs and outside and then all of the sudden you'd be teleported back into the basement and running into a corner. It happened anytime a survivor was unhooked but it was the worst in the basement. It lasted like two weeks I think and made the game practically unplayable for survivor. Once you got hooked once you were pretty much dead in the water.
That was the buggiest update.
-
Lithe, Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me and Iron Will is one of my favorite builds. If you see the killer headed your way and you are behind a wall with a window or a downed pallet then wait till they are just about to walk by the wall (and probably look around) then Lithe, QnQ and DWM out of there. It's also great when they have to stop to break a pallet or climb through a window because in most areas it's possible to sprint away and behind something while they're doing that and they can really only guess where you might have gone at that point, so try to be unpredictable.

The Madness gain will be slower if you’re far from him. Madness will not increase at the same rate that it would when you’re in his terror radius than when you’re 60+ meters away from him. If you really don’t want to reach Madness 3, then you can go into a locker for a little bit or get out of his terror radius. That nearly completed gen can wait a little bit. It would also allow for more perk variety. A lot of Doctors run Distressing to increase the size of their static field.
Your madness will not go down if you're in the doctor's status field but in a locker. It only prevents it from going up. There will be literally no way to prevent yourself from going to tier 3. Regardless, having to run to a locker every other minute is not fun or interesting gameplay.

Technically haunted grounds has a lingering effect after being cleansed. :P
