  • I just learn from mistakes I may have made and move on. If 3 survivors escape with a key when there's 1 gen left good for them, I'm impressed they used teamwork. More often one is selfish and screws over the others. If I get mori'd I'm bummed because it's usually a short match and feels like waste of time. But either way it's either move onto next round or take a break and do something else. I don't see the point in taking out frustrations on randoms in a game, that just seems sad.

  • I'd love a vampire killer. Think give them a perk "vampire thrall" where basic attack on a survivor makes them your thrall for certain amount of time, you'll see auras of other survivors they are near until time runs out or you down the thrall.

  • I've had the stutter on ps4. Stream I'm watching they're getting it a ton on pc too.

I know I've tried different combos and haven't liked the way they felt. I don't have problems 90% of the time it's just those occasions when someone's right under pallet.

It definitely feels awkward at first, took few days for me to get used to the switch when I did it. You just need to stick with it. I'm on ps4 - I switched drop item to square and made action button circle. Now I just need them to split pick up item from interactions so I quit item switching when trying to quickly unhook someone in basement from same hook sacrificed person dropped item. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Accessibility options for those with vision and hearing impairments.

  • If you go into settings you can change the buttons so action and interaction are different buttons. That will stop you from healing when you mean to drop a pallet or vice versa.

  • I'm on ps4, it's choppy for me as well. ๐Ÿ˜’

  • The change seems pretty unnecessary. There's plenty of other issues in the game, this change seems to just add to list of issues. Feel bad for those that are colorblind.

  • The minotaur one is my favorite. I've wanted them to do a minotaur killer so kind of bummed because think this means it won't happen. But if I can't have minotaur killer atleast I get the cosmetic.

Wish Yui got Fengs cosmetic instead of the one she has, only thing I like is the hair - the top is just another tank top and the skirt is pretty meh. Feel like Feng is getting loads of cosmetics that offer a variety while Yui is basically just getting cosmetics that are all pretty similar. Be nice if Yui could also get more cosmetics with variety.

Not a fan of David's head, it just looks odd. Kind of reminds me of Ron Perlman in the Beauty and the Beast TV show.

Clown looks good. Jane looks good.

Adam just seems out of place, like they include him since he doesn't have many outfits but couldn't think of good Greek fit for him.

Spirit body looks good, head looks out of place - could be because of the way she moves. Wonder if it would've been better for Plague.

Wish they gave Jeff a toga cosmetic.

Feel like Kate should've been included but I understand not including her since she has a bunch of cosmetics.

  • It's not that it's bad, it just doesn't fit him.

  • I don't get why auras were touched in the first place. Seems like pretty random and unnecessary change, especially when there's plenty of issues that should have been focused on.

  • Based on DBD FB groups sharing chat screen shots:

PC ingame chat you have people taunting after most games and can get pretty vicious.

Xbox wish death or disease the most, usually starting point rather than in middle/end of argument.

PS4 mainly just complain about something they felt entitled to, can lead to argument that escalates.

I'm now imagining Leprechaun's Pogo mori as he jumps up and down stabbing into the survivor's gut ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿฅด

It's where my mind immediately went when I saw jumping killer. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • I rarely get Midwich and I'm on PS4. After the first week of the Silent Hill release I've gotten that map maybe a handful of times? Also don't see the Saloon map too often.

  • Leprechaun on pogo stick would be awesome jumping killer, have a great mori too. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Young adults I can understand, but children?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1473719#Comment_1473719

May I remind you that Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark was banned in 1993 because of the graphic violence it detailed. If they ever shared the FNaF books in school, I'd expect the same reaction.

Scary Stories is still considered a kids book though, the publisher and editor (author had died) during that fought back saying they were appropriate for kids. It's why they're still in elementary school book fairs and kids sections of book stores.

Fnaf is already available in elementary schools at the scholastic book fairs - it's where my nephew got his first one. School library I can't vouch for only because my nephew avoided his since he didn't like the librarian. I'd think by now the parents groups that jump at any chance to push censorship for kids would've said something about the books being in kids section instead of teen/young adult in book stores or being in elementary school book fairs but they've been quiet. Until it's moved out of kids section/elementary school book fairs it's going to continue being considered a kids book like Scary Stories.

Slightly off topic but how the books are aimed for children really worries me.

I've read the book, and I'm not going to spare the details, but I really can't understand why it's aimed at children. The games I can understand as there wasn't much gore shown but the books, oh god.

There's been plenty of kids books with gore for decades, it really doesn't surprise me that fnaf is added to the list. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark had multiple accounts in all three books. Watership Down is considered a classic for kids and it has bunnies being maimed all over the place - can see carnage count from the cartoon adaptation on YouTube. I would think if it wasn't appropriate for kids not only would Scholastic not had a multi-book contract with them but parents groups would've made a scene by now demanding the books be removed from the kid section of book stores. If they'd gone with any other publisher I'd say they are miscategorized but they went with a kid book only one so it's not an accident.

GF and Myers have some of the most obvious sounds in the game. Between GF breathing and Myers footsteps you should be able to hear them easily.

GF cape swooshing is super loud. Wraith I think is the loudest with his gurgly breath and heavy footsteps. Pig wheezing breath isn't necessarily loud but it's definitely noticeable.

  • Pay attention to sounds around you. Stealth killers breathing and footsteps tend to be pretty loud.

I almost only play solo and I already adressed the fact that solos are penalized against sfw because they can't coordinate bones, I'm aware of this issue, still I happen to travel the map once per trial, who doesn't, and I use my eye memory to remember which totem whereabouts has been done.

Still its not the safest option sometimes but if it can deny NOED more than once, I wonder why I would only be the sole random who can do that.

I also do this. May not be as quick/easy as it is with swf but there's only a handful of spawn points so it's not difficult to do solo. Also helps that most times you can tell if a killer is running NOED, they tend to put 0 pressure on gens so you know to look for totems before last gen pops.

  • I'm not epileptic and some of the Lerys strobes are disorienting for me. Remember first time after rework I was in room and thought if it was bad for me it has to suck for someone with epilepsy.

  • When I first started I thought for the longest time exposed meant the killer could see my aura along with being able to 1 hit. Changing it would definitely be good for the newer players.

  • @Bootlegmoth said:

My thoughts for noed alternative: SUPER NOED!!

Level 1:all surviors into dying state. Level 2: all survivors die. Level 3: all surviors explode 1m to the exit.

Survivors would still ignore totems. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Think survivors doing bones to take away killer perk is already pretty decent compromise.

I think she was kinda like a cultist I think, but I don't want to see something like that before they add a pirate themed killer, because Why do we not have that

Pirate killer could be fun. I'd love a beach/island map. Boat map only if it rocks like it's in the water.

That's an original killer. Ghost Face is from a teen slasher series. I'm not saying that killers from "certain" areas can't be in the game. I'm just saying that putting a literal kids villain in a MATURE game will turn away a lot of New and current players. If FNAF gets a killer into the game what's to keep Ursula from the Little Mermaid out?

Ursula would be too OP. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

  • I thought it was going to be loading in with someone deciding to run No Mither and the killer is Oni. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Only because you think we are "fighting" allow me to clarify, I typed my responses out with a calm mind and a calm voice (if it were to be read as such) and from the responses I received from @Meatbycicle I also got that same tone.

We were simply having a discussion regarding the topic NOT a fight.

One of the most dangerous things when reading a post/comment is adding any sort of "emotional context" to it because it can make you read something completely different. At no point in time did I assume @Meatbycicle was angry with me or fighting, they were simply giving their side of the story and showing where their mindset was formed. I appreciate that and can understand where they were coming from.

Even THIS comment is written with a calm mind and a calm voice as I simply want you to understand (at least with us two) no fighting was happening.

Agree with this. None of the comments here seemed like fighting, just people having a discussion. I've reread a bunch and can't see any hostility so far. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

To be honest I don't think fnaf was ever intended for kids it was just with Youtubes like Markiplier and Jacsepticeye who posted gameplay footage of it, and during the time Youtube had very little regulations about it, also game videos were very popular in kids eyes back then.

If it was not intended for kids then they would not have gone with a publisher that only does kids books. The moment they signed contract with a publisher that only publishes books for kids they agreed that it's target audience is kids.

  • @MeatBycicle said:

I'm going to answer this thread with the same answer I gave the last 20. No, a character from a children's game doesn't belong in DBD.

This. The books are published through Scholastic which is a publisher that only does kids books so it is targeted towards kids. Right now, even if kids play the game, they have the defense all their DLC comes from adult franchises so it's parents fault for letting kids play an adult game. They cannot use that defense if they add in a kid targeted DLC, it will then turn to if it's an adult game why have DLC targeted to kids.ย No dlc targeted towards kids should be put into the game because it would attract parents groups that will start demanding they make the game kid friendly.

I find the worst maps for trapper are The Game because there is no tall grass. Every trap is out in the open.

The Game is the worst for the Trapper. Most times I don't even bother spending time putting down traps if I get that map with him. Just hold them for chases.

  • People aren't as good at the game as they think they are. SWF, NOED, DS, Mori, Keys, etc. aren't the problem, it's people thinking they are amazing and needing to blame something for a bad match that isn't their own playstyle/mistakes.

people complained about people complaining about people asking for fnaf

    people complained about billy nerf.

    billy got less nerfed

probably some swf and Noed posts.

something about mori and keys aswell.

    that's pretty much it

    Adding:

People complained about current match making

People complained about new MMR that will replace the current match making

  • Around 45 or 46 minute mark of this interview Cote says they're working with 3rd party to have something put in.

    https://youtu.be/8DONla0Jm5M

  • They should make it so if you're blocked into an area for x amount of time you can move through whatever is blocking you in.

  • One of many reasons Solo is rough. Everytime I run Kindred I either get left on first hook when killer is no where near me OR I am saved by someone not running BT while killer's aura is showing.

  • No to emotes. They'd only be used in toxic manner, we don't need more of that in the game.

Different moris would be good, especially during tomes when killers have kill all 4 survivors by any means challenge and all are running ebony moris.

    My Idea:

If a survivor doesn't get saved and is about to die, the entity automatically saves that survivor and gets the endurance status effect for 10s

    Doesn't work on end game

That'd be a great rework to Hope perk. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Whike we are at it, grant bonus bp to survivirs getting hit in general, its unfair to lose chances for bp just because you failed.

    ---

I miss the times survivors were content with 1 chance.

From deathgarden's downfall i can tell that giving survivors respawns will kill any pressure the killer might have. If you dont have to get your buddy off the hook, youll just rush gens. And the devs might cave in further and add even more lives for survivors.

That series of changes were a huge fsctor for deathgarden and I dont wsnt zo see that gameending ######### in dbd.

If killer is just hanging out by the hook that survivor is distracting them. You get % gen repair while distracting the killer in a chase, may as well get it while distracting them on the hook.

Devs have said survivors should gen rush if killer is camping. On mobile it's a tip during the loading screen.

  • As killer: Trapper. I just really like catching people in my traps.

As survivor: Mikey. Some do wicked good job at creepy Mikey and I love it.

  • Reward camped survivor. Give them BP for % gens completed and distraction points. Allow them to safety pip. This would encourage them not to quickly sacrifice self on hook and encourage other survivors to focus on gens and keep it to 1k rather than rushing the hook and giving killer more kills.

Make Kindred base kit and apply to stealth killers. If base kit the killers know everyone can see them near the hook and that survivors will be less likely to go for save.

  • Yes, most times I get killed for it. Couple times I've had piggies that let me live after.

I didnโ€™t stay to watch. But she definitely wasnโ€™t stuck. She did it on purpose. I saw her fail a few attempts before she actually made it up there.

Yeah, making attempts to go there was definitely trying to take advantage of exploit then and she should be reported. Also put in bug report so they can patch that.

  • Did she move from the spot after that other person died? If she didn't then she was probably stuck. If she did move then she took advantage of an exploit and would be reportable.

Also, would put this in bug report section so they could maybe fix it.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

The cooldown should only apply on completing the sabotage action. So you can 'mind-game' a bit with the perk by using the animation more often. (Progression on sabo'ing the hook should NOT be kept if the animation is cancelled).

This. It sucks getting the cool down because someone next to hook wants you to heal them and you go to Sabo instead of heal. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

  • During Q&A they said they know the dailies were killer centric and they were looking into fixing it. No eta or what they had planned for that though. I've cleared out a killer daily only to get same one again when the dailies reset, it's so annoying.

  • I can't wait for DC penalties to come back. It's terrible trying to play as solo survivor. Can tell when matched with 2SWF because they'll both DC at start of match or one will die on 3rd hook and their buddy will immediately DC instead of trying to finish the match. Atleast with penalty they would've distracted the killer for a minute to be downed and hooked.

  • I'm fine with killer lock as long as they lock survivors too. Really everyone's load out should lock when they search for a match, once lobby is full it should immediately load into a match. No more last minute changes for anyone.

  • I think lobby lock for survivors would be fair, especially since Survivors on PC have ability to see who the killer is before the match.

YES SAME. I feel like they play selfishly. and if they're killer they usually get super mad, even if they won?

I'm on ps4 with messaging turned off so if I get a ttv/yt killer I don't see their reaction after. Now that I think of it I rarely if ever see killers on ps4 with ttv/yt in their name, it's survivors I see with it all the time.
