  • Have had multiple Hillbillys that use slug build to down everyone early in match and leave them to bleed out in solo q.

Have had Wraiths bodyblock me in corners for a match when they caught me cleansing their hex totem.

Had a Huntress today that brought iri head. No one was toxic to her, no one DC or killed self on hook but she decided to stand over last person just throwing hatchets at them until just before they bled out and then she mori'd them.

Had a spirit that downed me quickly at start of match when I was new. After I was unhooked in basement she bodyblocked me in the basement until my team completed 5 gens and left. This was before EGC so she had to down me to hook me again and end the match - I didn't have self care or adrenaline so was easy for her to do.

I've had killers that I've escaped one match and kept them from 4k. I then played them in another match, they would go out of their way to down and facecamp me. They were throwing the game just to make sure I don't escape again.

Back when killers could mori spam I had plenty do it when I was last in match or if they had slugged for 4k.

Have had plenty pick me up just before I crawl out exit to stand at hook hitting me and shaking their head. Also dropping me by hatch, shutting it just before I crawl out, then hooking me to slash me while shaking their head no.

I don't play toxic, I don't see the point or find it fun so it's not like these killers are retaliating against my crappy behavior - they either had bad previous match and are taking it out on next group or they're just petty when someone escapes or breaks their totem.

  • That was painful to read.

DBD is not a 9/10 - poor performance, bugs, and balance issues are just some of the reasons why it isn't even close to 9/10. Guessing BHVR used some of their cosmetic money to buy a positive review after all the negative steam reviews.

  • Pretty sure it's just a combination of emblems/rank progress still being messed up and just throwing players into lobbies that have been waiting "too long" or when players dodge a lobby they just throw in a player that's been waiting rather than one that is at similar rank.

  • Last patch they updated Undying to give you notification when you're aura is being seen for first time near dull totem. They actually added hex icon for several that didn't previously pop up/stay on your screen until cleansed like Hex Retribution. Was buff Soul Guard.

  • The do this thing multiple times in single match challenges take me way longer than challenges like get 20 safe unhooks/protection hits. I prefer these ones because atleast if I get one it's going towards my challenge, in single match I could be 1 save/hit short and I have to do it all again next match.

Feel like when it's in one match it encourages way more bad plays than when it's spread out, especially when players have missed getting the challenge in previous matches. Single match challenges are when you get players that if completing gens don't do anything else or if they need to do heals just follow teammates around the map that don't want to be healed.

  • While there is bad RNG many times when I cleanse a totem early it's because I see the killer heading straight for a spot where there isn't a gen and I know it isn't because they saw a teammate. If a killer seems to be hanging out in one section of a map it's generally a good indicator they're keeping an eye on a totem. Many times these totems would've been bit harder to find, or I would've needed to go out of my way to find, had the killer not been hanging around. Trapper, Hag, and Demo are the WORST when it comes to this because they always head straight to their hexes at start to put a trap/portal.

  • Have you tried solo q perkless escapes in a row?

  • Rarely. Only item I enjoy are firecrackers and I save those for blinding challenges. Unless there's a challenge I'm not likely to bring an item, I have more fun trying to escape with an item.

  • Allow players to arrange HUD in way they like.

Allow survivors to redeem levels of archive without leaving lobby, also give option to make it so widget needs to manually be opened instead of popping open after every match if you don't redeem tiers.

Get rid of slightly, moderately, considerably and replace with actual numbers.

If it's an event increase the event item/offering spawns. Last few it's only been one or two per bloodweb.

    Make firecrackers regular item.

Give Trapper base kit love - allow him to carry more traps and darken them since map reworks have made his traps way easier to see. Also better way to collect traps - Huntress and Trickster don't need to go picking up all their knives/hatchets from random dead zone corners of the map.

Make Luck do more than just increase your chance to unhook yourself.

  • That just sounds like a normal Wraith. Are there Wraiths that don't invisicamp and tunnel?

Lol. Yeah that first challenge was ridiculous enough. This one is a veritable Hail Mary, especially going against red rank killers. I’ve already bypassed it and got to the end of part 3, so I’ll circle around and do all of the others first. Then, when they’re all done I’ll choose this one and play as normally as I can with this useless perk and hope Lady Luck visits me sooner rather than later.

Just need one of those rare farming killers. 😂

Fair i guess. But they will stil probably hate the experience if I'm playing stupid killers and builds

If you're high rank being matched with new players that's a problem for the devs to fix, not you - also a whole different issue from this.

  • They removed killers getting points while AFK. If they got points that means they did do something that round before going AFK.

  • While playing you should be able to tell they're new and you can just let up on them.

  • I did it, was killed a bunch while trying, but I got it done. Killers can break the pallet as you're trying to lift it so that added an additional annoyance to the challenge.

Edit* Nevermind thought it was the first any means necessary where you had to reset near killer. I'm not even going to bother with this one.

As others have said, unless there is a clear title or notification of who and how many are in a swf if there is one, then this shouldn't happen.

If I see a lot of stuff showing (lots of items, a key and map ect) then I will look at their profile to see if they are friends. Same if similar names appear.

I don't lobby dodge, I just play super sweaty and ensure my 4k.

If I get one dead before 3 gens are done, I've won that match. I have learned to super easily snowball against SWF. It's the only way to play.

To remove this would lose more killers

With crossplay you can only see players on your platform anyway, you can't check all the profiles and not all swfs share names. This wouldn't cause killers to quit anymore than adding crossplay did. Just assume all survivors are swf, problem solved.

  • I'd rather they just remove gamertag until end game screen. Just have a 1,2,3,4 next to the survivors portrait and have that be next to gamertags at end game screen if they need to be reported. Gamertags are only needed for reporting, there's no other reason to have them in the game. Would also help when people share videos of gameplay on forums to not name/shame.

Edit to add: I've been targeted by plenty of killers that in previous match I was only one to escape so next match they find and down me first and facecamp/tunnel me out of the match. Wasn't toxic, just escaped so they didn't get a 4k. Removing gamertags would stop killers from being able to target players they've recently played against.

Every map has somewhere you can fall from

Depends on RNG. Shelter Woods never has hills. Had Yamaoka Estate that didn't spawn with a hill and the gazebos are not high enough to trigger "great height."

  • @celesteismore said:

    The rock hills counts.

There's no rock hills on Shelter Woods.

  • It's not being dramatic, I'm confirming that Leatherface within seconds of seeing me should be able to rev and use the chainsaw. I've never seen a Leatherface go from chainsaw held down to revved and used that quickly in any match after thousands of hours. If it only takes couple seconds for a Leatherface to use their chainsaw that's good to know from a survivor perspective and makes me wonder why more don't do that.

It doesn't take that long to rev his saw he isn't Billy lmao

So then being able to down someone with his chainsaw within seconds as if he didn't rev it is a thing?

I've played against a few bubbas today and none of them had their audio revving queue.

Maybe your thinking of the saw start up audio queue that happens the moment he consumes his first charge and he starts sprinting and your just confusing it with quick charge up

It was within seconds of Leatherface seeing me and him hitting me that he hit me with the chainsaw. When he saw me his chainsaw was lowered.

  • @Chchchcheryl said:

The revving audio is bugged rn so you cant hear it

I had a match right before with a Leatherface and there was no sound issues. This was within seconds he hit me with his chainsaw, it was like he had chainsaw as M1. I've never seen a Leatherface have a chainsaw ready THAT quickly.

This. I haven't touched the specific Nurse challenges b/c I'm afraid it will be a dumpster fire. I'm worried how many matches it will take 😕

If you don't take killer seriously and are willing to farm alot of survivors catch on if you are trying to do Nurse challenges right now. I just kept blinking in one spot and survivors started to stand in front of me and let me hit them. 😂

  • @Aneurysm said:

Killers should also be able to instantly repair gens like with exit gates. Starve survivors of the satisfaction by genrushing faster than they ever could

I would actually love to see this happen. 😂

  • They should be able to carry gens, totems, chests, pallets and exit switches.

  • I see alot of players going down while a killer carries a survivor in my future. 😂

  • I've said same before, had people complain about someone on a hook getting points. I think rewarding the hooked player will encourage less hook suicides when camped.

  • If you're letting me escape it's an easy way to say thank you.

It's also a way to say "I give up" to the killer, if I'm going to be killed I'm losing it anyway.

  • @undeadcookie said:

  • If this game is causing you to self harm don't play it. Seriously. There are an abundance of other games for you to play that don't have the toxicity that this game has.

  • Turn off chat/messages and run whatever you want.

  • Because they want to monetize the game as much as possible. Last survey they even had a section on monetization, I have a feeling they'll be adding more things to pay for not less.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

I thought Midwich was bad if you were a killer? As a survivor I don't have any issues with it. As killer I hate it but I still don't dc. It's a nightmare when I play Nurse. 2 levels makes blink canceling almost impossible. You get caught on so much debris. Lot of dead zones you can't blink through without a full charge.

I feel like there's so many random sounds on Midwich too to help survivors. I know there are killers that can do well on Midwich but there are ones that are just completely useless on that map. It just amazes me that people hate a map THAT much that they'd rather eat a penalty than atleast wait to see who the killer is. I hate the Game map but I've never DCed on it, even when I had no HUD glitch against the Doctor. 😂

Killing youself on first hook takes out the DC penalty and they can go straight into the next game rinse and repeat until they get what they want. Its definitely worse in that aspect.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one because just missing out on DC penalty doesn't make someone killing self on hook worse than a DC for me.

  • I just want my teammates that run no mither to not feed an Oni for an entire match.

  • @Volcz said:

Well its not scary, but its also not that enjoyable. I've also realized its been in map rotation a lot more, kind of like how I was getting back to back to back Swamp matches. Also, green/yellow ranks are not 'veterans', they play horribly most of the time. They probably just dislike the map or play it so much they'd rather D/C and wait than to have to play it out again.

Veteran doesn't mean you're good at the game, it means you have experience. There's plenty that purposely depip to stay in low ranks for easy matches. If you have full purple load out of multiple teachables and your characters are in p3 clothes you have plenty of experience in the game.

2 of the players that DCed didn't play an offering, if they get Midwich that often they should play map offerings to avoid it instead of DC at start of match.

I get what youre saying but survivors will also just throw and kill themselves on first hook. Which is just as bad as a DC if not worse.

And killers if they don't DC will just go stand AFK facing a corner until the survivors finish gens and leave. Both sides have bad sports that will find ways to stop playing a match, but again you just see it more with survivors because you come across more survivors than killers.

I won't say killing self isn't bad but killing self is not worse than DC. It awards killer more points than the quitter bonus, if not in basement the survivor has removed a hook permanently from the match, the survivor has distracted the killer for a time while being carried to the hook, and if they are last of 2 survivors it prevents the hatch from instantly opening like it does with DC so killer actually has chance to close it before other survivor can escape.

  • They should fill it with BP. Filling the free pass will encourage people to play more, having something rewarded every level will encourage players to play those couple extra rounds to get to next reward - seeing only 3 fragments needed instead of 33 fragments is big difference in getting someone to continue playing. Players incentivised to continue playing to the next level and they'll then make it further in the rift. Making it further in the rift will encourage those that were hesitant before to now buy the rift because rift now seems doable. Also, filling in free track will just make it look better.

Those were my picks, but I would also have accepted

    Territorial Imperative

    Beast of Prey

    Thrill of the Hunt

    Hope

    Premonition

    This is not Happening

    Also...

    Up the Ante

    Sole Survivor

    Hangmans Trick

    Mindbreaker

  • It feels like map reworks are more to make them pretty rather than fixing issues.

This. I've never enjoyed the Game map, as survivor or killer.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Victor is already strong and extremely annoying to play against so I am against giving him more help. The only real counterplay against a good Victor is just healing and then abducting him for as long as possible, which is not fun. All interactions with him are just annoying. You basically alligator run and pirouette and hope he misses. Fun fun. Even kicking him, which used to be satisfying, now really isn't because he regrows in like 3 seconds and can be right back on you in no time.

As is I think his regrow timer should be substantially increased and his pounce speed should be substantially reduced in exhange for a faster charge time. I would also reduce his base movement speed, but give Charlotte some advantage over a basic M1 killer to even that out. I'm just tired of dodging wildly, Victor launching 180 degrees in the opposite direction, and then teleporting to my shoulders. I want to be able to counter Victor with skillful play, not just play ping / hit detection roulette. I certainly don't want more of the same, plus Victor easily clearing out all of the downed pallets on the map.

Would also add have survivors receive points for the chase interactions with Victor. Right now you could distract killer by looping Victor for a match but end up getting 0 points from it. Such a waste of time.

  • I expect to be camped if I'm caught once last gen pops, I'm surprised when I'm not.

  • Yes, because like I said it's 4 survivors for every 1 killer. The odds you see survivors DC is much higher because you see more survivors than killers.

  • @KlapzCheeks said:

Imagine if killers DCed on all the survivor sided maps? Get over this #########.

I've had plenty of killers DC when they and a survivor play a map offering and they end out on survivors map. Or when they see its Haddonfield/Ormond. Survivors are just seen doing it more because it's 4 survivors for every 1 killer.

  • Thought this was going to say Slippery Meat and Monstrous Shrine.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I once had a match where I downed the first survivor and then 3 of them immediately DCed, like they were trying to get a perfect no-down escape or something (the one survivor who didn't DC, I let them have the hatch).

Some people will DC over the stupidest #########, and it's out of our control.

I found and led the last survivor in this match to the hatch, not their fault their team quit.

People definitely do DC for dumb reasons, this was just the quickest I've seen and for no reason other than map and others quit.

Before DC penalties I had a match where survivor 1 DCed moment they saw it was Leatherface. Survivor 2 DCed about 30 seconds later when downed. Survivor 3 was then found nearby in a locker, hooked, attempted escape as I was running towards them, and killed self before I reached them. As I went to look for the hatch Leatherface then DCed. This all in under 5 minutes. 😂

If im being really honest, it's killer sided and as a lot of Killers it's a great map. Lots of unsafe pallets, long narrow corridors ,breakable walls that are more optimal if not broken, PH doctor bubba wraith and plenty more really benefit from this.

Some people DC due to certain killers. To do it because of a map???

People like that shouldnt play the game. Apart from anything else they ruin it for others and as I said to DC for a map is pathetic

I understand DC because of killer - like how Doctor gives some migraines, makes sense they'd quit. But I agree just because of a map is pretty lame. If you suck it up and play the map it actually gets easier, if you quit anytime you get it you will never learn the map and get better.

Also atleast see who the killer is before you quit. I'm on console - there's like 5 good nurses, 5 decent nurses, and then the rest of us that are just terrible with her... So terrible that it could be the most killer sided map and all the survivors will still escape. 😂 If those survivors stayed they would've had gens done, escaped, and be in q for next match way faster than waiting for DC penalty to wear off. 😂

  • Because they like the cosmetic, it was pain to get as survivor so not going to have it sit in their inventory, they don't care if the killer knows where they are, they want to distract the killer (especially from going after weaker teammates) - just few reasons.
