No.
The amount of spam from fnaf fans has completely tainted any fnaf in the game. At one point I thought maybe just original chapter of animatronic would be good compromise - would avoid adding franchise targeted towards kids but would add something that fan base could enjoy - but now I wouldn't even want that. If fnaf fans would just be quiet about it for a bit maybe it'd be better but multiple posts a week about it are as obnoxious as the nerf noed/keys posts.
It's targeted towards kids. Yes, people who are not kids are fans but it's target audience are kids. Many seem to take that it's targeted towards kids as an insult, it's not an insult. It's fine to enjoy things targeted towards kids, I love plenty of stuff that's for kids, but franchises targeted towards kids shouldn't be added to adult content. The "people that were fans as kids but now are grown up" doesn't change it's target audience is kids - also just enhances the argument it's for kids when the defense is "KIDS that were fans at start have grown up." The books are put out by a children's book publisher (scholastic), sold at elementary school book fairs and kids (not teen) sections of book shops, they sell official fnaf kids bedroom sets, and sell kids fnaf school supplies - just handful of examples of how they target kids. The lore behind FNAF may be gruesome but there are plenty of kids books that are also gruesome - reread the stories from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, alot of those stories as an adult are surprising to realise are for kids but the argument the author/publisher said for why they are kids book is those types of stories would help kids deal with their fears and death.
Yes there are kids that already play DBD BUT DBD is not targeted towards kids. There's a difference between being game targeted to adults that kids are playing and being a game targeted towards kids. If the game is targeted towards adults then parental groups lose their arguments to have the adult content adjusted because the kids should not be playing it, that's the parents choice to ignore the rating and let kids play it. The moment you bring in a license from a franchise targeted towards kids you will get the attention of parents groups because why would you add a kids franchise to an adult game if you're not trying to attract kids to the game? Parents groups will start demanding the adult game be adjusted to be kid friendly since they added a franchise targeted towards kids. I'd love a Scooby Doo or Nightmare Before Christmas chapter, they'd fit with DBD BUT being franchises targeted towards kids is why those chapters shouldn't happen.

"0 requirements"
She still has to aim, outs possible for her to miss at point blank. Complaining about Iri heads downing you at point blank range is complaining about the fact that "YOU" allowed "YOURSELF" to be out positioned
No aiming is needed when she's that close. It's not difficult to get close to survivors, why every other insta down has requirements/limits.

"Ridiculous point blank Insta downs"
That's like getting mad at being
1. Outplayed because she read and figured out your movement
2. Your out positioned and your screwed
3. It's like getting mad at going down against Billy and/or Leatherfact and they started reving at your back
Don't blame "YOUR" mistakes or downfall on the killer
Hillbilly and Leatherface don't have insta-saw, they need to rev up first. Huntress doesn't even need to fully charge her hatchet, it's as quick as an m1. Any other instadown requires some sort of build up or requirement to use or is not indefinite - chainsaw you need to rev, Deathslinger you need to reel in the survivors from certain distance, Oni/Mikey you need to earn your power, Ghostface you need to mark, Clown you need to first hit with a bottle, Devour Hope you need to hook survivors multiple times, Make Your Choice you need to be away from hook when rescue occurs, NOED you need to protect atleast one dull totem, Haunted Grounds you gotta hope you're able to find a survivor during that minute. Huntress iri hatchet has 0 requirements, lasts the entire match and the only limit of hatches is removed with infantry belt.

I thought people didn't like the iri head because she could 1 hit you at range (unlike every other 1 hit, which is melee) . If they catch up to you're going down regardless of iri head. (M1 to injure, toss a regular hatchet when you get the temp speed boost from being injured)
Distance atleast takes some skill, m1 followed by hatchet even requires some skill - getting up on a survivor and hitting them with a hatchet that doesn't even require to be charged doesn't take any skill. All the other melee insta downs have requirements/limits (see above) while Huntress only limit is removed with infantry belt.

Put a range restriction on it and you'll be giving her a useless add-on. You can't even name someone or find any videos of someone successfully using Slinger's detain of the add on because it's just not worth it.
Putting a range restriction on iri heads is like asking a guy how long his pecker is and for him to measure it after making out. Just by asking him he aint gonna be in the mood anymore.
Deathslinger you need to not only hit the player but also reel them in so there's a bit more to him being successful than the Huntress. Huntress you just need to hit someone with the hatchet from a distance and plenty of good Huntress players can do this so the add on will still be useful for them. Putting the range restriction means no more ridiculous point blank insta downs.

why do you need to double trap the window?
Survivors don't expect it. Also with windows you put it too close they can fast vault over it from other side, put it far away to catch them with fast vault they can walk around it, double trap window they may be able to avoid one trap but they won't miss both.
-
Doesn't help that hatchets have ridiculous hit box. Hopefully one day they'll make it so Huntress needs to be certain distance away and can't combine it with belt for extra hatchets.
-
I can't count the number of times I trap up around the basement at start of match and survivors just snowball what should've been 0k because I put no pressure on them to 4k because they want to loop by basement and then try to rush basement before I leave it even though all but 1 exit from where I entered is trapped. π If it's Trapper avoid the basement, figure out somewhere else to loop.

You can crawl backwards now and it's pretty funny to worm backwards
I'll have to check that out, although not sure if good thank you to killers.
-
Only if they increase amount of traps given to Trapper so he can properly trap the shack with an extra window. Shelter Woods only gave me 5 traps the other day - double trap window, single trap the door ways, one trap left over for surprise. Would need 2 to cover the other window. π
-
I wish they reverted the animation where survivors could spin on the ground. I can't give killers that give me hatch a proper spinning thank you anymore. π

That's a fair argument, but that still doesn't explain why you get less points for doing them.
Because the devs aren't great when it comes to points. You get chased by Victor for a match where your team was able to bust out gens you get 0 BP and drop pip but if it had been Charlotte chasing you during that time you would've maxed out from being chased and gotten points towards your other emblems like you do any normal chase. You get 1 hooked you're up there for 2 minutes at most, you can speed it up and get about 800+/- BP during struggle but if you're slugged it takes 4 minutes to bleed out, you can't speed it up, and you get a handful of BP if you recover to find help. You unsafe unhook someone, while it may hurt your Altruism emblem a little bit you can still get iridescent, you still get decent amount of BP from the unhook - you don't get that much extra BP making it a safe unhook.
-
Devs have also given killers perks that encourage camping and slugging - Insidious for camping, Knock Out (which they recently buffed) and Deerstalker for slugging. They made the Twins the perfect camp/slug killer. They have challenges to "kill survivors by any means" which includes slugging until bleed out. Those are just few examples of them encouraging and rewarding camping/slugging. Saying survivors have perks that counter camping/slugging means the devs discourage those tactics is like saying the devs discourage survivors from using pallets and flashlights because killers have perks to counter those. They're just counters, they don't mean the devs discourage those tactics.
-
Take a break, play a game that will relax you instead of annoy you. Come back once you're in a better headspace.
-
If you don't want to be sniped just set your stream to be on a delay or don't advertise you're a streamer via your gamertag/profile. It's like using OoO and getting mad at the killer for going after your aura when it's your fault he can see it.
-
New maps are my favorite part about new chapters.
-
As long as people are still willing to buy chapters even if they are completely broken they'll keep pumping them out. There's still plenty of licenses and original characters based off licenses bhvr can't get that they can make chapters for awhile until players stop buying dlc.
-
When I was going for the escape perkless 8 times achievement I couldn't get other survivors to heal me unless they too were injured and going for that achievement. I'll keep self care in solo q.
-
The game. Before rework, after rework, still terrible. I love playing Trapper but that map is terrible for him.
-
On console drink everytime fps drops π¬
-
Sometimes I think I won a chase because I was distracting a killer in a corner of a map long enough that multiple gens should pop but when I'm downed not one has been completed. Then I'm hooked and can see one person chased but other two leave me on the hook until struggle because they still haven't completed a gen and I wonder what were they doing that entire time I was chased that after 60 seconds on hook a gen still isn't completed. That chase should've been a win but it's a big L because solo q.
-
They need to give option to speed up bleed out timer if a killer slugs a survivor for too long. Have it be if survivor recovers to find help they can start speeding up the bleed out timer. Can speed up hook that is only 2 minutes but not bleed out that is twice as long.
-
I'd rather risk minute of exposed instead of exposed/mori without a hook until someone cleanses a totem which could end up being much longer. I've seen maybe a handful of killers instadown someone while Haunted Grounds was active, most times no one is downed or it's someone that was already injured and in a chase with the killer.
-
Yep. Most times if it's one I escaped/did well against they'll facecamp or slug me until bleed out in the next match. I wouldn't have done anything toxic, just escaped and kept them from a 4k. It's why I wish survivor names were hidden until end game screen.
Had a Mikey that my random teammates spent the match hook trading. I was running Kindred so could see them all together at hooks so I focused on gens and completed all 5. By time I opened an exit 2 teammates were dead and last one was downed but on second hook. Mikey hooked him, Blood Warden activated. I was going to attempt to save him but Mikey saw me. He downed me but instead of putting me on hook closest to where I went down he brought me to one in front of the exit gate, doing spins to I think taunt me because he caught me. Since last teammate was on struggle I was able to attempt escape - I kobed, Mikey slashed mid animation so I didn't go down, I hopped through window behind me and ran out exit because BW wore off. Next match was against him, he made sure to find me right away and down me so he could facecamp me while shaking no at me. Team managed to get me off hook just before I would've been sacrificed but he tunneled me because he didn't want me to escape again.
Had a Leatherface streamer that played a Hawkins offering. Think maybe 1 gen was done when random teammates DCed and I was camped so I killed myself on hook hoping last could get hatch. Had him again the next match and same thing - maybe 1 gen done, random teammates DCs and I hook suicide while camped in hopes last would find hatch. I waited a bit before readying up again so I would avoid being matched with him again.
There is one killer I've faced a bunch of times that doesn't seem to hold grudges/play toxic against players that previously had a good match against him. I've lost to him more than I've won but he never tunnels or camps, most times he gets a 4k. I know I'll probably lose to him but with how he plays he's only killer I look forward to facing. He plays multiple killers but I've seen him mostly as Blight. The few times I've escaped him I wonder if it's because he took it easy on the team or we actually outplayed him. π

That was my first thought when I saw the perk description. With the change they can also save a perk slot from running Iron Will since it'll hide grunts of pain now too.

Are they even worth your shards though? I'm going to buy him just to use Starstruck on my Nurse, but otherwise he doesn't deserve my playtime. I still regret spending 9k shards on Twins as I hate playing them and I don't care about their perks.
If you just want the one perk why not wait until it hits the shrine instead of putting BP into a killer you don't like.
-
They posted changes on their Twitter https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1371537010649923599?s=19
-
When I'm survivor it feels like killer can carry me across the map, when I'm killer it feels like I can't go 5 feet. π
-
It used to be before they changed how you pip. Once they change it so everyone is reset to rank 20 every reset getting a double pip will be easy since single pip in red ranks is a double pip at rank 20.
-
Because people on Twitter want BHVR people to follow them.
-
The only change I've seen that I like is if there is a remaining dull totem it will become NOED totem - survivors that cleansed totems during the match don't suffer from exposed status, exits are blocked like with Blood Warden until NOED totem is cleansed. Encourages all survivors to do a totems and no one will escape until they cleanse the NOED totem if they missed one.

Damn,you're actually right lol
How garbage must your optimization be if one simple tiny icon is enough to completely freeze your game for a second?
Amazing
I noticed it start happening after the mid-chapter patch because my swf teammate was running Leader. Tested it with few other survivor perks that pop up as well. It didn't used to happen but whatever they did - maybe was HUD changes or the vague optimization changes they won't actually say what they are - it has added more triggers for fps drops on console.
-
Rift isn't hard to complete, it's just ridiculously time consuming for little pay off.

She is not a Fog Whisperer, right?
Her behavior is disgusting to say the least and she adds more toxicity to the game. Her fans encourage her to keep going and further praise her for what she said to that deathslinger player.
I don't understand why people support her, and where are all the people who see her behavior as inappropriate?
Just a shame.
Not a fog whisperer but plenty from BHVR follow her on Twitter so wouldn't be surprised if they make her one. If they don't support this behavior they shouldn't follow players that act like this.
-
I've been killed thanks to fps drops on console. It's awesome when you have plenty of struggle time left, someone is about to save you but last gen gets completed triggering an fps drop and you die instead. Skill checks wouldn't help because fps drop would screw those up as well. They just need to change it to "press x to let go."

You clearly never played on console before, did you?
FPS drops we get all the time because of Bloodlust,Sloppy butcher,Noed/Devour Hope etc. is certainly game breaking and has ruined a TON of matches for me and definetely for others aswell.
All of this is same for me. That last video because Prove Thy Self icon was popping up - I've started to hate survivors bringing in the perks that pop up when they get near.
-
Did their Twitter bio always say "toxic dbd survivor"?
It's streamers like this that make people not want to play with streamers, and also get people to not like streamers at all because they encourage toxic crap people always complain about in dbd.

I generally dodge streamers, unless I can see they are not live.
I know I am not great at the game, but a lot of streamers are like "Lol this guy's so bad, how is he so dumb, I can't believe this idiot fell for that, omg learn to loop, etc etc" and the chat joining in on just trashing this person. I don't want any part of that sorry.
I wish I could dodge killer streamers as well, but unfortunately you can't. Ever since once incident with a more mainstream streamer, I honestly just dislike even mainstream streamers. The only exception has been maybe Otzdarva and that's about it.
This.
When I'm killer I dodge, they can find someone else to provide them with content. Most times as killer I'm just trying to complete a challenge, not deal with sweaty ttv player that just wants to be toxic and trash on players for views.
If I could as survivor I would dodge if I knew the killer was a streamer. Most killers do toxic crap while trashing on players for their viewers similar to survivor streamers and I'd rather avoid that.

For bring flashlight against Hag all I could think is - Brings flashlight against Hag, Hag equips Franklin's. π

I can't wait for new survivor to have rift challenges when one perk rewards them for survivors getting hooked and the other for survivors getting hit nearby. That will definitely be a kill your teammates rift.

At release I heard new xbox and ps5 were running great, but after couple updates I've started seeing complaints that performance issues have started to pop up. I'm currently on ps4 and stopped buying dlc/cosmetics because after all the money I spent it wasn't going towards making, my console experience better. When I finally get a ps5 I don't think I'll be installing DBD because by time I do I'm sure performance will be just as bad and will just be repeat of ps4 - begging for optimization only to get vague "it's being looked at" or "it's been passed on to the team" or my new favorite response "we do little things each update we won't tell you what, just see if you notice anything feeling better."

No, it won't be. Because even the new system will be easily abused by simply afk'ing or suiciding. Everyine will be smurfing around low ranks.
To get Adept as killer you need to double pip, that isn't difficult to do at rank 20 especially as an experienced killer. If you are getting single pips in red ranks you'll easily double pip at rank 20 and earn the Adept.
The new matchmaking system has nothing to do with current pip system that is used to determine Killer Adept. They are not saying what exactly will determine your new matchmaking score, or what your score is, so it will be more difficult to abuse.
-
Just wait until they change rank reset to everyone drops to rank 20, getting Adept then will be easy even if survivors suicide on hook or DC.

As much as I love DBD I can not believe how poorly it is running to this very day.
I'm playing Destiny 2 on my old XBOX One right now. A huge open world-ish, high graphics, fast paced online shooter with a million effects happening every few seconds yet I experience exactly 0% fps freezes.
Meanwhile DBD: One character (killer) attacks another character (survivor) and applies a debuff (sloppy butcher) - *ENTIRE GAME FREEZES FOR UP TO 3 SECONDS*
I shouldn't be able to tell a killer has Sloppy Butcher without being hit but every game when the first person gets hit - could be on other side of map, no where near me- if my game freezes I know the killer is running it.
-
We've had multiple posts that will have hundreds to thousands of comments where players have begged for optimization and will list specific triggers for framedrops but they get closed. This post (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187573/console-optimization#latest) was closed after it was necro'd (and those last comments deleted) when there's plenty of other posts that get brought back from the dead that get left alone. I had notifications for when someone commented on it that were sent to my email so I could see the post had been necro'd and the comments before they were deleted. When it comes to performance issues they just don't want to hear it. As long as players will play through the issues they aren't going to bother fixing them.
-
Ghostface. I love watching survivors scatter when I mark them from random spot on map. Or deciding to guard a random gen and popping out anytime they go near it.
-
You need to be currently in a chase, if you jump before the game registers you're in a chase or as you're escaping a chase it won't count. I've had this issue with all the chase ones. If killer is distance one it will feel like you're in a chase but you're actually not. If killer downs you as you're dropping it won't count.
-
Still an issue on PS4.
-
I come across plenty of red ranks that camp/tunnel. I feel like players say "only rank 20s do that, not red rank" for so many things in DBD that I see plenty of rank 1 and 2 doing.

We once played against a wraith who made it clear from the start that they were just farming. We all went along with it and had a great time. We played around with the Wraith the entire game, dropped all the pallets so they could break them, let them constantly break the gens, and let them hook us all twice. We had played with plenty of farming killers before and done this many times, so we didn't even bat an eye at this. Like all the other times before, we thought they'd get their two hooks each and let us ago (again, happened every time we played against a farmer) except this killer decided to turn at the last minute. After our second hooks - while we were healing each other - the wraith slugged and hooked everyone, getting a very easy 4k. In the end game chat the killer apologized and laughed about it. Since then, we haven't really trusted farming killers anymore. It was a lesson learned, which was kind of sad since those tended to be the most fun since everyone (us and killer) always had a good time in those rounds. Live and learn.
Had that happen with a Huntress, it was annoying. It's too bad killers have to ruin farming for others like that.
