There's people who get value of that?
Not that I want to protect this bug, but… They have value of that?
When they killswitch wesker the last times, it was because he was invisible, when they killswitch somes perks, like merciless storm, it was because the generator goe's to 90 to 0% in instant
When they killswitch, it's theorically when sometimes break the game (like the bug who give an anti collision to survivor with a flashlight, where they killswitch the flashlight and the perk linked to) here… We got two add-on who work as intended, just… The first time, the infection is instantThey don't need to killswitch Wesker, they need to killswitch the Iri addon which is what triggers the bug. You use Lethal Persuer and if you don't get value off of that then it's because the Wesker is playing without a screen.

Unbelievable.

But the leveling up of characters is almost entirely independent of the gameplay, the times a perk really comes up as a difference in games is absurdly little, just a few percent in the in the end. The reason the bloodweb exist is to give you something to do while waiting to be in a game, its not the main entertainment, that is what the trials are for. Its just there to keep you entertained while you wait and get stuff for the next trial.
Being bored of the game due to bloodweb is like getting bored talking to an NPC in an RPG, or bored because you need to find a trainer to buy the next level spell in WoWClassic. If your friends get bored of the bloodweb, tell them to alt-tab or watch a video on their phone while you guys wait in queue.
A new player only has to gain 10 million BPS to unlock everything that could potentially mean anything for all characters they have by default in trials. but the thing is you dont need all perks, you infact dont need any. New players should worry about their Skill as players in the game and stop chasing the next new big perk that they NEED TO WIN. its a waste of their money when a new perk drops. Like I don't even think bHVR developers would approve of that attitude and they make money of this.
I do not think you are getting in the shoes of a new player, probably you did not even know anybody that got into the game in the recent years. The game is extremely NOT begginer friendly and the current bloodpoint gains is godawful for them more than for anybody, it takes forever for them to get to unlock a survivor perk (if lucky from an OG character that they can unlock through Iri Shards), double the effort if we go to the case of killers that they are actually different between each other + need addons and not only the perks. You are seeing this issue from your point of view (assuming you are a veteran) and you are not taking into consideration that not everybody is in your possition, and even if a veteran…
Also, not everybody has the same incentive to play this game and some people just in general find it rewarding and enjoyable to be able to grind comfortably and that does not take away anything from you. It is perfectly valid to not be content with how the grinding/bloodpoint gains are at the moment. If you just see it as something to do between games more power to you and that is awesome, but I would prefer not have to kill time tabbing out and watching Youtube video and instead be able to spend more than 40,000 bloodpoints that you can get per match if lucky bringing certain offerings.
-
New update and the issue is still the same and not addressed on why this is the norm now.
-
NOW this is crazy. No incentives at all on the regular queues by the way. What is going on with the incentives? It's insanely tedious to play to progress the grinds on characters for basic perks or anything at the moment.

I wonder why is it happening. I am on European servers too and haven't seen 100% BP for weeks.
25-75% is still less than should be tho. Before kinda standard was 100% for survivors during day, then 100% for killers during evening.Yeah, for me it was always like that too. So it was good for me to play survivor in the morning and then at night I would play killer and the games overall felt good. Now it's kind of completely the opposite and the bloodpoint gains feel awfully underwhelming.
-
@tjt85 said:
My experiences are similar. I get 25% or 50% on Survivor most of the time and I've not seen a 100% on Killer for quite a while. I'm missing it because Legion is how I do all my farming for BP :(
I guess this means the queues are relatively balanced right now, with lots of new players from the Halloween period?
I started noticing this ever since the Castlevania chapter came out with the Lights Out mode return (I believe, if my memory is not bad lol). I miss being able to obtain at least 1 prestige a day with how much I play, now I barely can feel motivated to achieve half a prestige because it feels insanely slow if you have a few bad games for whatever reason.
-
@Triplehoo said:
I've been having 25-75% incentives all day for survivors. European servers
I am also in EU servers (Germany)! The most I can see on a very lucky day is 50% on survivor but it's super rare now, usually it's either 0 or 25 in the best case. Feels kind of bad, I don't understand why bloodpoint gains are being gatekept like this.
-
@PetTheDoggo said:
Finally someone has it too, so I am not the only one… It's very annoying for me. I am used to playing whoever has 100% bonus and I am not really motivated to play when there so no bonus on either side.
Same here! I used to play also the side with incentives so that way I felt rewarded and I felt like I was helping the matchmaking to be smoother and better. Now the quality of the games feel weird and I also get much less bloodpoints overall. Kind of kills the motivation to play since it just takes too long to grind for the so needed prestiges to unlock perks and content.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
They don't match the queue times either. Used to be, no matter what the BP bonus was on survivor, you'd still get into a killer match quickly. Now, the survivor bonus can be at a mere 50%, and you're still waiting 2+ minutes for a killer match. I'm not against longer queue times, but it at least needs to be for the cause of better matches, not the constant messes all 5 players get thrown into now, with basically random opponents and teammates.
Yeah that's also true! You would think that no incentives would mean the queues would be instant, and I played two games at the time I took the screenshot I shared with the post and I was around 3-4 minutes waiting, so I do not understand what is the issue at the moment. The quality of the matches feel weird as well. Maybe they are doing one of those secret matchmaking tests that they have done in the past.
I just want to think bloodpoint incentives will be consist again soon, it's what keeps me motivated to play more matches no matter the outcome/result.

Let's be honest, DbD lags a decade behind other multiplayer games in terms of basic features, like a managed block list. It's disappointing.
Absolutely. Only recently we got feedback on the reports we make, so… Also, things like the props system was mentioned at some point not so long ago but still nothing being done about it in a time where how "toxic" the community is is the hot topic of social media especially as of late. I recall even this topic being talked about in an official survey.
Hopefully all these features get looked into because they hold back DbD in comparison to other PvP games and it's sad these things have not been put attention into earlier.

The block only stops people from sending you friend request in the in game friend list.
Correct, so if you for some reason block somebody by accident and then for whatever reason want to play with them and get to be friends you just can't invite them unless by chance you meet in the same lobby at some point, since you can't check the block list anywhere. Awfully designed and has been overlooked for over 8 years.

If that's so it might be very easy to time because when I got a Leatherface daily I tried to do it myself out of curiosity and I did it without any effort honestly. Twice actually. Both sides complain. Only one sided has a set of "rules" that are systematically pushed and enforced on a community-wide scale. It's not about complaining.
No, realistically both sides are just as annoying and entitled as the other and anybody biased towards one side misses on 50% of the game. At one point you realize it and role bias in this game get obnoxious and lack understanding of what this game is meant for.

Ive never understood this "you paid for it, you can do whatever you want!"
If I buy a ticket to go to the movies, doesnt mean I can talk loudly and be a disturbance to everyone else.
It’s a pvp game, you are not supposed to sympathise with the enemy and think about what’s better for them. Fair enough you are not supposed to screw over your team (in this case would only work for survivor role since killers are solo UNLESS it’s 2v8), so your team’s fun might as well be your responsability. No survivor plays for fun of the killer and no killer plays for fun of the survivors and it’s fair deuce.
-
Both sides complain about the other one no matter what. Just stop bothering about it and play your game how you want since you paid for it. Simple as that.

Yeah idk, could be some kind of Blight hug tech situation where it's not intended and it was classed as a bug until they figured out how to fix it and dealt with it but it was not considered a bannable thing or anything
-
These kind of items are usually prototypes/tests for future items and perks I have noticed! Firecrackers were event items and then came too in the shape of a perk (Flashbang). If they like how it plays out and the players enjoy it they might consider making it an item or perk (or something that plays similar) in the future!
-
@Shinkiro said:
Yep, it was consistently 100% survivor during the day and 100% killer in the evenings but ever since 2v8 came out incentives are either non existant or survivor only. Ive not had a killer incentive since and its pretty much killed my motivation to play the game at all as its not worth using any good addons or offerings knowing im not going to get enough BP to get them back at a somewhat decent pace while grinding prestiges.
For me I'd say they've been very underwhelming or completely missing ever since Lights Out, after 2v8 they worked fine once the game mode was finished. I hope it's a bug and they bring them back because honestly bloodpoints are what keep a lot of players motivated to keep playing and grind for either p100s or for early prestiges for the perks and/or prestige cosmetics. At the moment I feel it's kind of a waste of time and offerings because I don't even get as much as I think I should be getting.

I never did anything sus. I only use personal icons (I have been for over 5 years without issues), AMD Adrenaline and in this case Windows Game Bar to record the match. Could it be that EAC did not like the Game Bar recording software?
Try verifying the files! I did it when I posted this discussion and have not gotten this issue ever since. It can still happen eventually, but I noticed people who did not verify their files are gettting it very often. I guess it's something they're aware of and a well known issue at the moment, I see even streamers getting it while live. He's just not as overpowered in the mode as people are claiming.
I played him and he felt pretty ridiculous since the reveal mechanic doesn't even work properly to begin with and they couldn't reveal me while staring at me dead in the eye and they said they couldn't even see me while doing so due to the fog. It's okay to admit your favorite killer excels.

What does that have to do with what I said though? Nobody discussed the aesthetic or the ambiance. I indeed think that everybody can agree the lighting and athmosphere are sickening. The topic is allowing killer powers to work in a way that defeats the purpose of the game mode.

@Xernoton said:
I played this mode for a bit as a survivor and for me it wasn't so bad. I don't really like the game mode either but I saw a good variety of killers. I saw a Myers, Legion (that was probably the least enjoyable match), Ghostface, Sadako, Pyramid Head, Blight (no idea how they managed to play in the dark), Bubba and Trapper.
Overall it was pretty boring. It felt like nothing happened most of the time, so I just sat on gens and waited for the game to end. The missing progress bar makes it harder to have any sense of progress but I managed to keep track of the remaining gens every time without issue, so I had at least some idea of our progress.
Legion, Doctor and SM are probably the only real fun killers for this game mode. With all the others you just run around like a clueless idiot. Because for the most part, that is pretty accurate. You can't see the survivors because they drop their candles immediately and then you just hope to find someone randomly while they smash the gens. A hit can easily result in you losing that survivor as well. So again, you feel like nothing happens. That is really my biggest issue with the game mode.
Both sides have little sense of progress, so it's hard to be invested in the match.
The thing is that the whole point of the game mode is that, that you can't see the enemy that easily at all. If you have fun just playing info killers maybe the game mode is not for you, which is fine and alright. Imagine if survivors could have kindred, wiretap, or object of obsession. It just defeats the whole point of the game mode to have info on the enemy team and those 3 killers should not be playable there.
-
@doobiedo said:
I think if they banned a lot of killers from it that might help, but that is also not likely to be a very popular solution.
From my experience I just don't want to play it anymore as survivor because I only faced those 3 killers mentioned above and it feels so cheesy. As killer, queues take so long so I cannot be bothered anymore now that I am done with the archives. I would definitely play it more if I didn't know already that if I queue up I will just face most likely Legion (if not Merchant or Doctor) and it feels insanely cheesy and uninteractive.
-
It's funny because people will just move to another killer to mass-hate and instantly dc against (most likely I'd say Singularity will be it) and the situation will just never stop. The character will not get kill switched since that would mean they would not be able to release cosmetics for her/people would not buy skins for a deactivated character.
All they had to do until the 2025 rework was to revert Skull Merchant to her original form, since now you can't actually 3 gen anymore and that's what old Skull Merchant excelled at. Anybody saying the current Skull Merchant is still the best 3 gen killer in the world is blatantly lying or just being ignorant since that's not the case at all.
Enjoy everybody moving to Singularity now and having actually 1 hour long games if they please to do so!

So long as the game is designed in a way where a player can be almost entirely prevented from playing the game for reasons completely outside of their own control, there is no reason for depipping to exist. It is an unfair punishment that does not encourage improvement, it does not encourage anything except additional stress and frustration.
Exactly this. Like okay don't give me a pip for those unlucky games, but being able to lose 4 pips if you happen to have this kind of games (which is the most likely thing to happen, especially in solo Q due to several factors) on iri 2 is insane and feels awful and almost makes a lot of people don't want to even bother playing this game until the next month (good opportunity to remind people it's meant to be a silly party game and people just want their points at the end of the season since at least their games were pretty awful, they want to have at least that).
I do not understand what do people find so bad about removing a frustrating part of the game that will harm nobody if it stops existing. Like if you are happy depipping more power to you, but most people don't find it fair in 90% of their games and it's been asked to stop being a thing for so long now, especially since the introduction of the bloodpoints rewards.
-
@UndeddJester said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3635205#Comment_3635205
I'm just pointing out there are reasons for depipping to exist, and not everyone outright hates depipping (at least not in the fashion to where it should be removed). Climbing the ladder is a challenge, and a challenge only works as a challenge if you can lose. Without the ability to lose, its purely a grind with no stakes.
Yes, depipping sucks... you're not supposed to like depipping, its a counterbalance to the high of getting 2 pips. However you can't have the highs without the lows, the lows in fact are what define the highs.
If you study game design, your intrinsic motivation to play a game is at its strongest when you're close to reaching a goal, but haven't reached it yet... every single rank is a goal. The point of depipping is set stakes to keep you playing and invested in winning, especially when you're just a pip away to the next rank.
Do you play to win harder when you're 1 pip away from ranking up? Of course you do. Do you play more chill when you dont have a pip and cant possibly lise one? Of course you do. Everyone does, because that's the psychological effect pips provide.
So what I'm saying is, if you remove depiping, you may as well just remove the whole grading system entirely and just grant more blood points rewards from the end game. Without depips the system is pointless, and I'm not saying that to be condecending, I'm being serious. If you don't want depips, remove the entire grading system completely, because it has no function without them.
You are missing the whole point of you having no control over pipping, and which is more concerning and frustrating, over losing pips and you're trying to justify it being a thing which I will disagree with no matter what since it makes 0 sense with the approach they tried to achieve with not being able to derank + criteria for emblem system is outdated as hell and pushes boring and uninteractive gameplay in some categories for both sides (clearest example is Unbroken emblem for survivor). It's just awfully designed overall and needs to be improved.
-
@UndeddJester said:
From a game design point of view, depipping adds important stakes to the game. Think of Poker without an ante. If there is no chance of losing, you just fold every hand and don't bother playing unless you have a good hand.
If there are no stakes, then the whole grade system each season is kinda pointless. Might as well just jack up the bloodpoints awarded every game and chop it out entirely.
So as annoying as depipping is, it has to exist for the rewards of getting to iri1 to mean anything. That being said, the requirements of pipping in tbe iridescent leagues are kinda obnoxious.
I can get a game where I'm tunneled hard, somehow survive, and still depip because I didn't get enough heals, saves and gen repairs. Similarly I can get a 3k and depip because 3 survivors gave up immediately on hook and 1 got hatch, so I didn't get enough chases, hits and hooks.
To my mind depipping should still exist, but I wouldn't be too upset to see the safety pip bar lowered a notch or 2. Either that or grant the survivor additonal survival points for time in the trial at least. That would help.
I don’t know why you try to dive so deep into something as simple as this topic is. It’s a terrible design especially on survivor, you physically can’t get the requirements the emblem system is build on. It’s just awful and outdated and punishes people for things out of their control at all. Fair if pipping is hard, but depipping is just awful. That was the point of making it impossible to derank once the ranks and marchmaking were changed, because the emblem system can’t be more flawed.
-
@PogbertChamperson said:
I've never had issues with depipping as killer. If I get washed so bad that the game decides I lose a pip then so be it. However solo q survivor is a different story. Too many games have a survivor giving up outright, or the lack of communication leads to people being left on hook. It can be frustrating to load in against a killer and see the first survivor "go next" on first hook. It makes safety pipping at higher grades a challenge, and gaining a pip against a competent killer unlikely. Pips and grades are supposed to be indicative of playtime per season. The only reason a pip should be lost is if you DC (though I'd argue the pip should remain since that would just be another reason to give up on hook and not let the team have a bot).
Depipping as killer is not as common as on survivor. This post especially is regarding survivor's emblem system and pipping and depipping on that role in particual.
-
@Beano744 said:
I think that it should stay a thing, but they should make pipping up easier, because in higher ranks it is far too difficult to rank up.
I still think depipping shouldn't be a thing. You can't do anything about it if you get tunneled out since you won't get anything but boldness as survivor and you are not only losing the game (which is fine, who cares), you're also going to lose progress and you literally could do 0 things about it.
-
@Chaosrider said:
Why exactly should be depipping an issue?
Because it pushes people (especially on survivor) to play even sweatier if they want to rank up since it's harder, especially in red ranks (by far way harder than killer). It would tune down lots of frustrations for a lot of people that want to just achieve iri 1 every month and see that they can't for reasons that are not in their hand. It will literally not hurt anybody to remove depipping and would just remove one frustrating part of the game that has no reason to be there.

Those p100s can switch to their p3s and the gameplay would be the same. P100s being sweaty and tryhard is such an oldfashion statement from when the prestige system got reworked recently and only people who play intensively got them. Now I've seen people with around 200 hours and already with a p100 thanks to BP events and the past anniversary. It's really not that exhausting to have taken at least one character now.
Please, stop associating survivor prestige with skill, and especially with sweatiness. They're just skins and it's not accurate to judge either low prestige characters with being a cow (bad at the game) nor high prestige characters with being gods since they're interchangable.
I really hope they add back the feature to hide prestige because posts like this prove how prestige has rotten the brain of the players and conditions them from the get-go. Another reason why the less information you get from the lobby, the better for everybody. No dodges from team mates nor killer.

It is difficult to explain in English, so I will spare you. But I can say this. We are professionals at watching bonfires. And I are not going to keep the survivors stuck in the lobby forever. If the perpetrator does not start the game after a certain time, the lobby will automatically disappear. Or, instead of penalizing them, we will allow them to leave. Additionally, if the line is bad, let them be free to leave.
One last thing. This is also to save the survivors from the worst gaming experience. I feel that a lobby with entry and exit would be much more unbalanced.
? Your idea doesn't make sense and it's terrible. I am sorry.

I'm worried that the killer will quit. Fighting against top-level opponents is so hard that it makes your brow sweat. Novice killers are likely to encounter advanced enemies.
This change may also result in a slightly earlier start of the match for 4-player SWFs. This is because the killer loses one way to identify the SWF.
I think that you are overreacting and overstimating the average SWF. And trying to make it look like fighting against top level opponents is only exhausting and boring as killer means you don't face the same 3 killers as survivors and they are playing for money and bring the strongest things they can (the same way survivors can and usually do), especially how that goes as a solo Q player.
Stop trying to make everything a Side Vs Side oppression olympics and realize that it's a game issue as a whole and both sides have the same struggles and complaints for what is strong or not even strong but repetitive on both sides.
And the last paragraph doesn't make sense or I can't comprehend what you mean because I don't see how 4-mans would have faster and earlier queues if everybody dodges them because they're scared they could be saying their location in a clockwise geolocation on the map, bringing the same 4 builds full of strong perks synergized and so on. Those are the smallest demographic of the game.

I was going to agree with you until I saw the last point. By that it would make it so those who look like a 4-man SWF would not find a game. If you want it to be fair, both sides should not be able to leave after 3 times each 24 hours for example. Survivors already can't see the killer (fairly, it would make people dodge more), making it so only survivors are restricted to leave but not killers is very very odd to suggest.

8 is more than enough. Realistically no gen needs to be hit by any regression more than 8 times, especially with the changes to tapping gens. This new anti 3 genning is a win win for both sides and actually the most solid and best designed feature recently implemented in the game (anti camping feature is laughable in comparison).
