Nothing apart form losing what little respect that still have remaining

Rule nr1. We mix and match outfits, no 2 parts of the same set/outfit are allowed to be worn at the same time.
Rule nr2. Individual Perks per survivor and/or killer, everyone will get their own unique set (for as far as that is possible). These perks can never be any of the perks the survivor or killer came with.
Rule nr3. I dont tunnel but I will punish an unsafe unhook by downing the person who was unhooked, then going for the other.
Rule nr4. I dont camp unless the gens were going way too fast, ill take what I get at that point.
Rule nr5. I dont use any add ons or mories or items (unless found ingame)
Rule nr6. If a survivor is making the camping sign even though they are not being camped, I treat them as if they are.
Rule nr7. I dont help/touch scumbag survivors.
-
people complained ranking was 2 hard.......those people were massive idiots...and now we are were we are.
I have never seen a game where a ranking system was so controversial, so messed up, as it is in dbd.
that said, idk if you have much right to complain with your boring blandette look and DS and DH tbh.
-
joking aside, I would not mind a Freddy change/nerf, man I hate his rework, hate playing him, hate playing against him.
Old Freddy might have had weaknesses, but thsoe could be tweaked, instead they remade him entirely and made him far less unique and interesting.
And on top of that everyone runs the same build for him which is just lame to begin with but also to play against.
-
no patch today
my doctor still away
and ruin is still ingame
the crutch perk of the lame
no patch today
and Lery's not remade
I want to map the tome
Many roads lead to Rome
How could we know, the patch was not at hand, the death of the game, the start of many rants.
How could we know, what it will do for us, killers ignored, survivors still the boss.

Wouldn't this require tunneling? Because if you don't do very well, it's not easy to pick targets without focusing on them. In "normal" match if you get 1k, it's basically means you're 2-3 hooks away from 3-4k.
I mean if it REALLY goes badly you can just camp the 1 person you get, but in general no, I would not say it requires tunneling.
Just hook and move on, it can be a fun and hectic match and if you dont set your goals that high its less stressfull.

No but seriously, I think pig needs the RNG removed from her traps completely I think we shouid wait for a rework with that
RNG is hte problem for the pig and trapper alike, fundamentally flawed but hey, gotta love a bit of chaos.

yeah...totally going to change my build on the chance I might encounter a certain killer.....
Imagine running Calm Spirit over DS, BT, Unbreakable and Adrenaline just so a killer wont hear you scream lmao

He's not underated at all. He's probably the worst killer in the game. He does nothing that other killers can't do better.
Just because you can win with him doesn't make him underated. All killers have an advantage.
ok we are bunching up 3 different elements here.
The actual ermm tier
How the community perceives it
How individual matches can go.
Unrated falls under community perception, its an opinion of the community as a whole.
That opinion can be based on the tier or like you said "he does nothing that others killers can't do better".
But the fact that others can do it better, does not make the clown useless.
Example, if billy can kill a squad in 1min and the clown can do it in 2min, then yeah billy is "better" but the clown still will be fine.
And I feel that is more where the underrated part comes from, OP feels clown is a perfectly viable killer and feels the general opinion/rating of the clown is too low/under for what the clown actually can do, hence, the clown is underrated
Its more a question of Clown vs other killers
or Clown vs the game/survivors.
-
I would go for A both solo and SWF
-
go in with the purpose of merely killing 1 or 2 survivors, reduces your goals, reduces your stress.
-
a charm for P3ing is not a bad idea imo
-
OoO players usually want to be chased so I find it best to just ignore them and go for everyone else while they waste time trying to get your attention
-
my problem is that its just too clunky to use.
The idea is fun, but the execution is lousy, having to crouch and having the stone fly the way your character is facing rather then where you are aiming the camera is just....bad
-
Who do you play when you're having bad games in order to change that feeling? Leatherface
Who do you find the most enjoyable to play as? Oni, Demogorgon, Huntress
Who do you main? Oni
What rank and platform are you on? PC, red rank survivor, purple rank killer

You realize that 1v1's at EGC would be even harder than it currently is? If the gates regressed, you couldn't do anything. Because usually if the gates are close you pick away at the gates bit by bit.
The killer already has a way to prevent 99's. You can open it yourself.
Like someone else said, the EGC was implemented strictly for hostage situations, not free kills every game.
nobody is talking about free kills, im talking about circumventing a game mechanic entirely and creating a boring safe zone.

Umm, what? Maybe you should camp less if BT is MASSIVE to you.
And you basically already supplied why it would be a BAD IDEA cause then the Killer will know the unhooked Survivor doesn't have BT and would get a easy down.
man you just skipped over everything, I suggested you read the original post if you care and if not, well, dont reply then.

Yes killers that see a survivor that has no BT on them won't tunnel them. Why again?
well I would down then and go for the unhooker, but thats just me.
I do see what you mean, but why I mean is, if you hit the survivor, then see BT is in play, well now you have a wounded survivor infront of you, might as well go get them right?
While if they were glowing right away you would know there is no preference to go for that survivor over the one who did the unhooking.
-
Honestly though, I like the Doc a lot better in the ptb.
Just really needs an animation after the shockwave to indicate both for survivors and the killer as to when the killer can hit again.

May the grind be lightened

My opinion is that both keys and moris should be deleted. Both items are toxic for gameplay. Yes, Im killer main and I like Moris, but Im willing to sacrifice it with keys and make games more clear for both sides.
All I want for mori's is to be a bit more fair, aka only being able to do it on survivors that would have been dead on hook anyway.
(oh and all offerings should be hidden)

@Peanits said:
This was actually tested early on when the EGC was being created. It wasn't the most interesting gameplay, and it removed some of the teamwork close calls around the exit gates. People who were communicating could also just have someone stand there and keep the gate ready to open without starting the EGC. We ultimately decided against it.
The survivors are still under pressure to get that save as soon as possible, though. That hooked survivor will die before the collapse unless someone saves them. Whether the EGC has started or not, they still need to make their move as soon as possible. If you really want to EGC to start for some reason, you can always open the gate yourself. Otherwise you can basically consider the gate open and play accordingly.
Ok soo lets see here:
It wasnt the most interesting gameplay....yes 99ning a gate and then not having to worry about that at all, that, that is some interesting gameplay....
It removed close calls? what do you mean, it would introduce close calls more then anything, survivors running to a gate HOPING someone is there opening it for them? THAT is a close call, 99ning means its open with a single tap, that removes the idea of a close call entirely.
People could have someone stand there and keep the gates ready to open....yeah...thats the risk....that is exactly what would make it interesting.
You can go out with 3 survivors to save the person on the hook with the risk of not even able to open the door in time
OR, you can have 1 person behind making sure the door will be open when it needs to be and just going in with 2 survivors which will bare its own risks...
ORRR, you DO open the gate, go in with 3 people, now you have the risk of bloodwarden and the pressure of the EGC but you are a 3 man team and no doors are in the way.
That is the choice, thats gameplay, thats the game... that is exactly why this 99ing is bs, it just circumvents any pressure the EGC or closed doors could provide, the fun pressure it might offer.
If the killer has to open the gate, then the person will just be unhooked and everyone escapes, so what does the killer do? they camp, and against what? a squad with DS BT and some bodyblocking to the exit gates which now opens with a single tap....aka no fun for anyone involved.
Again if you want it to be over after the last gen is done just end it, why this nonsense time wasting?

The killer is under no added pressure during EGC. That happened the moment the last gen popped. EGC is entirely to make survivors leave. 99'ing a gate is to try and help teammates before putting them under added pressure. Yes, the slowdown is entirely designed to give the survivors a chance to save. You are not entitled to a kill because you surprise-downed a survivor with NOED.
If you want kills, try earning them before they finish the gens. EGC is to make the game end once it is basically over. It's already heavily in favor of killers. All you have to do is keep a survivor on the wrong side of a loop during it and it's a free kill.
So again, IF its actually over, then why does the game not just end the moment the last gen is popped?
Lets forget NoeD all together and just have the game end then right?
Might sound weird but im more in favor of skipping the bs and just doing it that way then ellongating the match further for apperently no reason.

You have to do better then that.
-
Lots of drama, they can only go so far though before nobody plays killer anymore and unless they add bots, the game will die when that happens
-
@MysterTal said:
When I started playing it was late 2016 and we had exactly zero indicators.
You wouldn't know if the Killer had Devour Hope at 3 stacks or NOED or if Myers is still in Tier 3 (if you didn't pay attention to the sound cues).
You would get one-shotted and left to wonder what the hell just happened.
If someone else just went down to Devour or NOED, you wouldn't get any indication of it if you weren't paying attention to whether or not they were wounded.
There'd be no icon letting you know if the Devour Hex is still in effect or not.
If I remember right, you also wouldn't have known if you were Dying Light until you actually tried healing someone or went for an unhook...
I kind of miss it. I know they added all the status indicators so they wouldn't get flooded by newbies falsely accusing Killers of "hacking" because they have no idea what Perks are, but I honestly miss not being spoon-fed information.
right?
and as I said before, is that not what playing a game for a long time is all about? knowing how it works, knowing what to do, getting.... good...at the game?
@Waffleyumboy said:
The reason BT and DS have no indicator is because camping and tunneling aren't fun strategies.

You can disagree, but that was the entire point of EGC. Preventing hostage situations.
got something to back that up with?
and again, if it was then it would be a set timer, the devs made this entire mechanic of slowing down the timer when a survivor is downed or on a hook, why?
because its more then just preventing a hostage situation...
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
It's more than just postponing the timer. A lot of the time, survivors do think that there is a possibility that the killer is camping a hooked survivor, and they need time to get them. Or perhaps they (and I am being serious here....) for some reason are running Blood Warden.
If you played Survivor for any amount of time, then maybe you'd actually understand their mentality. I did it, and I became a much better killer because of it.
I play both sides and I understand why they do it.... like thats like saying "I understand why killers use ruin, or why survivors take DS".
The point is they should not be able to just avoid the endgame collapse and give themselves all the time in the world from a point ot supreme safety by 99ing the doors, that is the issue.
-
@Runcore said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1013245#Comment_1013245
Yeah, its up to them BUT what about rest of team? They will play only in 3 players coz 4th player is selfish and playing for escape only. Plus what about killer? Its not fair for him that 1 will escape without any ingame effort. Escape should be deserved by playing well and not by owning item (key).
well that last claim is a very slippery slope because you can probably attest a lot of escapes or kills to 1 perk or item.
And what about the team, the devs said you can chose to work together or not, it means probably a relatively ez 3k for the killer and 1 survivor escapes, all around no big problem that I can see.
-
@PrettyFaceKate said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1013236#Comment_1013236
The match does not end because neither side used their option to start the timer to a guaranteed end. You're using the hostage terms incorrectly. It's an option, which means you can choose to do it or not and, the fact that everyone in the trial can do it, by definition means that neither is hostage of the other side's stalling.
You may not like the "you already (likely) lost" argument. But just as many things in life, even if we don't like'em, it doesn't mean they aren't true.
Well lets just say I dont agree with the claim that the endgame collapse exists soley as a means to combat holding a game hostage.
If that were the case it would just be a fixed timer then the doors are opened and non of this lasting longer when a survivor is downed or on the hook nonsense.
Its meant for some high stakes gameplay at the end, 99 doors just completely removes that and gives just about all the power to survivors, combine it with body blocking, BT and DS and yeah, you indeed already lost as killer at this point but stll have to bask in the glory of survivors going for some low risk saves.
Again, if there was regression of some kind, it would be a lot more balanced, it would ask for survivors to maybe leave 1 behind at the door so it can be opened making it a lot more high stakes to get the person on the hook, as it should be.

@Runcore said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/121864/getting-annoyed-by-keys
If you are "frustrated" and "annoyed" survivor, you have quite good chance of nerf but you are killer so you have literaly 0% chance of reworking/nerfing of things that are annoying you.
Keys are quite unfair coz support survivors thats do nothing for team and instead wait for hatch and free escape. Plus there is quite good chance of finding key during game in chests - its same nonsense like killer find Mori during gameplay.
finding a non broken key without plunders is quite unlikely tbh.
And if they did nothing for the team they dont get many points that is their choice, if they only want to play for the sole purpose of escaping, well thats up to them.
-
Why do you care? Keys are meant to skew the match in the survivors favor, they get less points doing it that way but hey, they got out.
Mori's are meant to skew the fight in killer's favor.
Items are meant to skew the fight in survivors favor.
and add ons (I hope but dont believe) are meant ot skew the fight in killer's favor.
If they had a key before the match, you can dodge if you dont like that (or try to kill that person asap) if the found it ingame, well, dems the dice.
-
@PrettyFaceKate said:
The EGC mechanic was implemented to avoid hostage situations, not to offer the killer easy kills in the endgame.
If the repairs were completed and the gates 99'd, you should be looking at what you did wrong up to that point, because you've already lost, regardless of 99'ing, unless the survivors go suicidal (which happens from time to time, tbf).
oh here we go with the "if it got to that point you lost already" argument.
Love that, soooo why is the game still going then? why does it not end right away when the doors are 99nd?
heck why is 99ning doors even possible then? why not just all or nothing, like doing a totem?
the game is over so you open the door and you leave, but no, you can postpone that, hold the game hostage for as long as you can until the killer goes and opens the door for you....yeah great design that.
-
I had a match against a demogorgon where they were trying to get adept and basically just got zippo the entire match.
the "toxic" dwelf, after being bodyblock guided to the door even had to go back to the killer just to be downed so they could DS them....
Well in the endgame chat I said to the killer "good luck with the next match" as I knew this was a terrible match for them.
The Dwelf said: "he was going for the achievement"
I said "yes.... which is why im wishing him good luck on getting that in the next game(s)'
the Dwelf said: "he did not get it?"
This is a 1400 hour playtime Dwelf and he did not know at all the requirements of what it takes to get adept killer....
He apperently though you would just get it by playing one time with only the killer perks, thats it.
I have never encountered a player more worthy of the title " survivor main".
-
I tend to play them all tbh.
I think ill play a lot more doc after the rework though
-
Ermm how exactly can't you make this up?
This is super common.... you dont even have ot make it up, it literally happens all the time...
-
@MarksmanSpecal said:
I think @Almo already answered such a question. They tried it and the results of regresssion were not satisfying. So, BHVR already had this idea but dropped it
What I hate about this is that they, and apperently some of us as well, leave it to them to test it and come up with the conclusion that something does not work.
and we should just accept it as some absolute truth.
Not to mention all the possible variety towards an adjustment of the suggested door changes.
Like FOR EXAMPLE, what if it does regress but cant regress further then 20% of what it was?
Now its suddenly a little less safe to run at a closed door, subtle, maybe to subtle, but better already, you can mess around with these parameters all you want to get it atleast MORE fair/balanced.
Its weird to introduce something like the Endgame collapse and all the work that went into that and then just allow for such an obvious loophole to exist.
Also, to discredit the devs and their testing a bit (not to mention, this is what the damn PTB's are for...) remember when they changed the Huntress's hatchets?
How the admitted on stream that instead of it being a rectangle box fiting the hatchet shape you were actually throwing a beachball? like the hatchet was rotating in all direction/axis from a single point. (even though it did not act like that regarding corners of walls but did act like that regarding survivor hitboxes hence being able ot hit a survivor that is already around a corner)
Remember how they finally thought they should adress it, then tried, failed misserable and just reverted it and NEVER touched it since?
Yeah.... idk if we can trust them with these blank statements of "we tried it and it did not work"
Although if im suppose to read that as "you can complain about it but the devs arnt going to do anything about it" then sure, I guess.

Ruin didn't need to be gutted to figure out there's an issue though, all it takes is simple math and a couple hours of game knowledge to realize WHY it was deemed necessary. But then again, that's expecting way too much out of this dev team
Well it wasnt, it was gutted because of how it functioned, how much it (felt, was) needed, and how the other players experienced it.
If they would adjust the game to where ruin was not (felt) needed...and then people would run it anyway...then suddenly the game was skewed in the killers favor.
(cough kinda like BT, DS, Adrenaline, Unbreakable cough cough pardon me).....
So first we change hte way Ruin works (obviously with room for adjusting) to where it becomes a more active and honestly interesting perk for both sides.
Then we adjust the game based on data registered later.
-
Dear lordy, sorry I know you put a lot of work and thought into this but I cant read all that.
Just my simple 2 cents.
Ruin was a crutch perk, but one so deemed necesary.
No killer player WANTS to run ruin, they just (feel they) have to.
Ruin is not fun to run, it does not enhance your gameplay or whatever, it just "passively" gives you some breathing room which apperently is much needed otherwise 80% at Red Ranks would not use it.
Survivors who know how to play will absolutely focus on gens hard early game so 2 or 3 will be done by the time you hook a single survivor.
So, if ruin is now less effective, thats fine, we shall see more killers run different builds and maybe see the survivor escaping persentage go up if nothing really makes up for the lack of ruin.
AND THEN we can balance the game with whatever we can, to revert things back to being more balanced.
-
ermmm and what would be the goal of that?
you think people will keep playing if they cant seem to achieve something constantly?
And if they do...well then what is the problem?
-

Portals are sealed way too fast in my opinion. It only takes about ten seconds for one person to seal it, and even less with up to FOUR people being able to seal it at once. If we’re talking current Demogorgon, that’s one of the issues I have. The related add-ons don’t help much either.
Well yeah, you gotta be quick if you want to teleport through, but again, even if they seal it quick, Especially when its 4 people, you now have a good idea of where they are so you can go there and get them.
-
No you think of a possitive as a negative.
Cleancing portals means no gens being done means you win some time.
Cleancing portals means you know where some survivors are.
Cleancing portals allows you to put new portals down, its actually a survivor strat to leave now useless portals (because everything of interest in that area is done) laying there as it limits what the killer can do.
And for survivors, its just about the only reason why Demo is still fun to play against unlike...Freddy.
-
I think nobody should be able to go back to rank 20 - 19 if they ever reached 18.
Rank 20 and 19 should be a save heaven for new players.
-
This just in, Astronauts dont build their own Rockets either!!! what madness is this!!
-
Personally I say let the 3 gen happen and then just go nowhere near those if the killer is protecting them, let the game go on for hours while they sweat trying to protect gens nobody is touching.
