I'd like to know how it's counted and what's included..
Is it 1k, 2k, 3k or 4k?
DCs included?
Killing AFK players?
Hook suicides?
Veteran players bringing their new friends into SWF who have around 5 hours in the game and get snacked right away?
Survivors who lower the MMR by getting killed on their behalf?
...
Everyone that do not escape via door of hatch is counted.

Imagine if they put Ruin and Undying in the same class for killer but survivors could have BT and DS, I could honestly see it happening.
I don't think this is possible.
Now, just for the sake of the argument, which are the "classes" for killer perks?
I think they are something like this:
- Gen regression (Pop, Ruin, Jolt....)
- Survivor debuff (tana, haunted ground, huntress lullaby...)
- Killer buff (enduring, brutal strength, iron graps...)
- Chase (bamboozle, bloodhound, spirit fury...)
- Endgame (noed, bitter murmur, remember me...)
- General (Undying, corrupt intervention, hex:pentimento...)
The meta perks for gen control are very different from each other in order to never overlap, so theorically you can run ruin, undying and corrupt.
But this obviously is only just to talk, i don't think this idea can be done, it is a change TOO DRASTIC.

If they camp inside while you shutdown the exit gates, they could just die or be teleported for a random place near the same exit gate. Or be pushed outside of the exit gates.
Why? If you close the door and they are on the other side of the door why they should die/be teleported?

so let me ask you, do you think breaking pallets require skills? or are you just trying to gaslight me?
Yes, they are man, there are kinda 100 topics about NOED being op every month, always opened by different users, the "NOED defenders" are always the same 4-5 guys and they always threat people like idiots, unable to understand the basic game mechanics, they always repeat the same things over and over like parrots, never reply to you when you confute those points ignoring all your objections but they keep repeating you have no real good points, no explanations whatsoever, you simply hate killers because you don't know how to play and you should play killer.

maps need to be fixed but fixing maps will not help with boons at all. It is not an issue of map placement, it is a structural problem about time consumption.

The fundamental issue with fixing map spawns is that totems aren't designed around both sides needing to interact with them.
This results in one side getting totem's being fixed for them breaks them for the other side.
Example: Easier to find/snuff boons means easier to find and break hexes. Aka it fixes boons but breaks hexes.
Also remember how many normally good for the killer totem spawns ended up causing immortal boon totems because the killer couldn't interact with them?
???
You can track boons via sound, it is not difficult, if you are near them, find them.
You can also see them if they previusly were hexes.
The issue with boons is they are too strong and snuffing again and again take away too much time.
-
I agree but the devs WANT the boons are like this.
Infinite.
They clearly said that.
We have to accept this.... i hope in a new animation then because seeing the killer stomping on those little totems and the totems are still there... it is not nice.
-
The main power of the artist is being able to shut down loops. Tracking with crows and disturbing genf from far are secondary.
It is like saying billy shouldn't down you with the chainsaw, but he still will be able to run fast with it.
Running fast and traversing the map is handy for billy don't get me wrong, but the main power for him comes from downing survs with the chainsaw.
"But i can't use DH against him if he uses the chainsaw! And healing is pointless!"
That is precisely the point in using the chainsaw.
He chosen billy because he wants to cut you out from those resources, like an artist want to cut you out from spoiling too much any loop.
Trust, i also hate when survivors know there are 2-3 Jungle Jim connected and any time you face them they sprint burst in that area and if you want to down them you have to exahust all the windows and pallets.
It is not funny, it is stupid, if you have the wrong killer you keep running in circles because with strong loops mindgame are impossible, with the artist you have some relief even in those situations.
This is the reason bamboozle is quite popular perk for killers that heavily suffer loops.
-
Always man! I never heard you talking with a person with a different opinion and not assuming he is talking about something he completely do not know.
And do not try to go back on the track of my discussion now. You threated my proposal as absurd and unacceptable before, to not try a mediation now.
I am no interested in discussing ideas with a person that only have the purpouse to demonstrate he is right and the other people are wrong. This is not how "discussing" works.
You do not want FC nerfed? FINE! But this is a topic about nerfing FC (..."My thought process is that this would encourage more interaction and altruism while making camping completely useless, though it would drag the game out for awhile."...) because it seem some ######### not able to understand how the game works think it is UNFUN! INCREDIBLE!
Can you please let us special kids have our special moment without coming always and saying we know nothing?
You do not agree with +100% and +50%? FINE! I am explaining you why! But if this lead you to "You know nothing, why you always nerf the killer, git gud, do bones, try to play legion high mmr with no perks and blindfolded before speaking" then i am not interested anymore in talking.
-
I am main killer.
100% killer.
And sometimes i camp.
You always reply like the other person do not know what he is saying! ALWAYS! You accudes me several times to not play killer or to not know a specific killer!
Can you quit assuming other people know less than you because they have different opinions?
-
Whatever man.
As i said i got bored.
Wish you have fun with Noed.
-
"2 minutes per hook gives Survivors AMPLE TIME to do gens, even with +40 seconds on each gen. This is not a fair trade or balance. This is a punch in Killer's faces with a light slap for Survivors. it's so Survivor-biased that it's not even worth considering."
IT IS NOT! THIS IS THE MAIN REASON OF THE PROPOSAL!
IT SHOULD BE NOT A FAIR BALANCE!
We should improve chases over gen rushing and gen rushing over facecamping!
Stop complaining about something that IS OBVIOUS!
If the topic is about fighing FC then the proposal cannot be fair for a facecamper!
Jeez! It seem obvious!
And do not tell me FC is a viable strategy, it is not, Behavious already said they want it removed BUT they cannot because they never found an efficient way to fight FC without destroying the killers potential in endgame scenario (where is normal, what are you supposed to do?) or without severely damaging proxicamping.
FC is a cancer! BHVR simply never found out a way to cure this cancer without killing the patient.
Making perks that encourage killers to leave the hook? If you have a camper then i will not run the perks! SIMPLE! Some campers still run insidious! This is not effecting camping and it is proved by the fact that all the BBQ and NWO never diminished the camping!
Those perks are a ######### placebo!
CAMPING IS CONVENIENT! YOU MUST MAKE IT LESS CONVENIENT!
-
It is not what i see with my eyes.
It seem me that the people that complains try to point out some aspects of the perk and you guys always come in team and fill the thread with a bunch of posts where you repeat the same things over and over like parrots completely ignoring the person and his doubts.
Obviously after beiing threated always like a ######### the person go away and post somewhere else.
But whatever, as i always said, i have no horses in this race. I am main killer and i am 100% sure in my matches there will be no NOED.
You instead... seem that you are trying to protect your gamestyle.

Why you always have to assume every proposal is a buff for the opposite side?
Your idea is literally a buff to Survivors. Heaven forbid I consider a buff to Survivors a...buff to Survivors?
You MAKE PERKS that REWARD not camping. Punishments will get the 40 or so remaining Killers to finally drop this game like a hot rock. Why is that so hard to understand?
Stop trying to PUNISH tactics that have times where they are valid!
It is not. If they need more time to complete a gen but you need the same time to find and chase it is not.
You need more time to wait someone die on the hook? Therefore is a nerf for you?
Then you facecamp regularly!
Then YES! IT IS A NERF FOR YOU! And it was intended being a nerf!
Because the topic is about nerfing FC!
-
I am sick of discussing NOED but i can't help myself noticing that every now and then a new NOED topic appears, the people against noed are always different, the people supportive of NOED are always the same 3-4.
It appear being a crusade for you guys.

Make each hook phase 2 minutes, and only increase generators by 40 seconds.
Literally make each hook phase 100% longer, and make generators only 50% longer. That's in no way a massive buff to Survivors, huh? 🤦♂️
+60 seconds to hook and +40 to gens yes. The hook is incremented 100% yes but the gen is only incremented 50% it is right!
The gen increase make rushing more difficult because the time of the gen is related with the time an average chase requires.
The hook increase make camping less time effective but the time must be increased more then the gen time.
If we increase +40 and +40 facecamping will remain convenient in the same way it is today.
It is not a surv buff because the chase time it is the same!
Why you always have to assume every proposal is a buff for the opposite side?
-
Double post, sorry
-
One killer and one surv can take hostage 3 survs. Not viable.
In my opinion making 120 seconds each hook phare and 120 seconds every generator (without grat skill chekc, tb or other stuff) it is a good idea thou.

I don't like Dead Hard, but there is definitely counterplay in Frenzy. Just wait it out, or exit Frenzy. You're better off basic attacking so you can down them quicker. Only hit them while they're already injured if you have other places to be.
The point is: sometimes is about hitting in frenzy or eat a pallet/windows.
With a DH if you go frenzy they DH, you go in fatigue and after the fatigue you also have to overcome the pallet/window that may be a god one.
If you not go in frenzy you eat the pallet/window , keep the chase and they still have the DH.
It is very punishing for a weak killer that can be easily improved.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Why are you hitting an injured survivor in Frenzy anyway? To look for nearby healthy survivors?
Well sometimes you know you only can land a frenzy or eat a pallet or a window, and yes to trigger frenzy effects.
-
I do not like fighting something wrong with some other things that has proven being wrong.
-
If you have a killer on you it is fair you risk an explosion considering the situation.
If you do not have the killer on top of you you can wait a SC and move from the gen right after.

Wraith is clearly weakest of all them, and somehow have worst punishment from flashlight.
It's weird, isn't it?
Dude. You seem act like DBD appeared yesterday as complete game from the fog.
Wraith always had the LB mechanic, at the beginning he was super weak killer, then he slowly become better and better since the moment he was on the top of B tier.
Then they nerfed him a little, still the bottom of B tier in my opinion.
Perfectly viable unless you are against a tournament team.
Killers receive modifications in their set because the meta changes and shift (even if sometimes very slowly), you can't have a core mechanic based on the principle "he is weak/strong, therefore...."
Today killer X is strong, tomorrow maybe will be weak.
-
Yes, this is true, but now we have this map and we should accept it or find a way to work around these limitations

My question is, why do flashlights have to be strong at the expense of a weak killer? All the things you mention don't directly affect the killer itself. He's the only one where you can use a flashlight to incapacitate him until you run out of juice. And all of those provide a counter to one aspect of their power. If I told you I can stop any other killer from moving for 3 seconds just by shining a flashlight on them everyone would be up in arms but somehow that's just ok because oh it's just Wraith who cares. His kit is weak enough as it is lightburn is a mechanic from an old era of DbD.
Weaker killers?
Nurse? Spirit? Hag?
Also the other 3, the artist, the nemesi and the wraith are not weak, they are average!

i don't think rpd can be salvaged even if it gets divided. there are far too many corners and tight hallways for it to be an ok map, especially the 2nd floor of the east section.
Nono! I think they said layout of the map can't be touched. You can divide the map, you can add hooks, remove totemsc, but the corridors and the rooms and stairs can't be moved because it must stay identical to the police department in the game.
-
@Marc_123 said:

For those of you who aren't familiar with Slinger's addons, the Hellshire Iron is one of his ultra rares:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/0L8HZC3KBNTJ/image.png
I genuinely can't think of a use for this one, I think it's pretty much entirely useless. By default, the killer hit recovery time is 3 seconds, and Deathslinger's reload speed is 2.75 seconds. This means over HALF of the undetectable is wasted wiping your gun and reloading.
It becomes even more perplexing when you see the original effect of the addon:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7QOM7D1FRJGR/image.png
With Deathslinger's nerf, his Terror Radius was made to be 32m, which would have pretty significantly buffed the addon. The reason it was hardly used before was because of his already small Terror Radius combined with the fact that EVERYONE ran Monitor and Abuse on him to make it even smaller.
I don't get why it was reworked when the Terror Radius change would've made it pretty good, now it's just useless. It's a shame, because the original effect was actually kind of neat.
It is not rare to have completely useless items like this, many other killers had them in the past. I think there is not that much game test behind a killer by BHVR.
For example, the waterlogged shoes that basically make the hag an m1 killer????
-
The torches are not that muche effective compared to medikits or toolboxes. It is nice they have some extra utility like removing traps of the hag or also working against Wraith invisibility.
-
The perk itself is good, not weak.
But not that good to justify investing other perks in its protection, like undying or haunted ground.
Therefore it is a really fragile hex that is handy but you can't really count on it in chases.
Bamboozle is less effective but you know the survivors can't take it away.
-
Guys. I PLAY NURSE! Why you always assume the other persons know nothing about one the topics? It is the game we all play! Guess what! Nurse is a killer everyone has! DUH!
And I NEVER SAID it is overpowered. I said she is the best. And i said that, considering some bug improvement that were issues, she MUST BE BETTER NOW.
YOU SAID that she is the only one acceptable and the other are garbage. YOU SHOULD GIVE STATISTICS.

And most people don’t know how to play against her. People don’t actually ever have proof of her being busted. Everything they cite either disproves their own point and shows she averages out to around 2 kills and 2 escapes, or it is a blatantly uneven match (survivors don’t know how to counter Nurse, one side is way better than the other, etc).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2751627#Comment_2751627
Yes, you have nailed it. Blight and Nurse are in a good state of balance. The others are too weak. Again, fixing bugs is not a buff whatsoever. That is a completely nonsensical argument. Those bugs did not impact her play always anyways. They happened randomly by pure chance. As in, she can still play without facing those bugs quite often. And those bugs are now fixed so that they don’t. It changes nothing, balance-wise. To imply otherwise is just plainly disingenuous.
Man, one bug make pallet stuns while blink longer and another one made you recharge the blink slower while holding another blink.and those bugs were on EVERYONE.
The removal of these 2 things alone make the nurse stronger.

Everything is busted when you can't defend with pallets nor windows.
Against Nurse you need a completely different skillset.

@SuzuKR said:

She is proven repeatedly to be even balanced against players of even skill who know how to play against a Nurse. MMR just makes it unlikely to actually get a matchup like that. But that’s not Nurse’s fault. This would apply to literally anyone. If one side is much better than the other or one side doesn’t know how to play against the other, of course the outcome is obvious.
No man.... at tournament level it's always her and spirit or her and blight. She is the best that killers have to offer.
There is no killer better than her.
IF YOU PERSONALLY consider the best killer to be balanced and therefore the others to be too weak.... well ok.
But if she was balanced BEFORE the correction of the bug, now she must be "more than balanced" and she can handle some minor debuff.
This is the point.
-
@SuzuKR said:

That would literally be the furthest possible thing from casual with today’s knowledge.
If you only can play 4 killers, 7 survivor and 100 perks it will probably be more casual. Just to try something different.
Or just to try the game for free for new players before buying.
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2751570#Comment_2751570
That is a major nerf for no reason to an objectively and statistically balanced killer.
Well man... nurse is the strongest killer in the game :)
And yes, those were bugfixing but with the bugs nurse sstill performed great, now probably will perform even better.
At high MMR she is the best, i think she can handle some minor nerfs, otherwise top survs will only meet her.
-
@DianaTheDuck said:
My suggestion is that the both of them should have a cooldown after they used they power. The Wraith abused his bell without any cooldown and The Nurse with teleporting(even though she has a little cooldown after she miss the atack, its not enough). I think I am not the only one who thinks the same.
The wraith certainly doesn't need a nerf!
And the nurse is powerful but her killrate is largerly the lowest in the entire rooster due to her high skillcap.
Sure she COULD handle a little nerf after the numerous buff she received in these months, like the third blink addon and the correction of the numerous bug affecting her.

Ever since they implemented sbmm, the experience of the game has gone downhill for me. At first, my games were mostly chill and I was having fun. Now, its stressful. As a killer, you have to be one of three killers with the strongest perks, or you will struggle to get two hooks. Slowdowns don't do much, as games still last a collective five minutes, and the buff to BTL doesn't help with that when everyone runs good toolboxes. You pretty much have to camp, slug, and tunnel if you want to get anywhere, and all that does is get salt with slurs thrown your direction all the time. And survivor is just as bad now. You have to be a swf all running meta perks at this point to get by. Abd forget about solo que. Something about that screws matchmaking up so bad, that I face killers with 6000 hours, while my teammates have a combined 20 hours. This system of matchmaking was a mistake. You have to run meta perks, aka the same boring builds everyone else uses, or you just won't have a good match. I have had the game for two years, and I am finally considering just leaving DBD, like many others have. Have the devs just not gotten the hint with all the players that have left, including several of the "big name" streamers? The game is too unbalanced for a system like this. Video games shouldn't be stressful. If they really want sbmm, they should revert it and focus on balancing the game before reimplementing it. I guess now I'm hoping VHS will provide a better experience and live up to the hype.
Sorry but i think that the game HAS its flaws but this attitude is too dramatic. I think your issues have nothing to do with the SBMM, simply before the SBMM it happened that you faced more casual players and those unbalances in the game were spoiled less.
BTW honestly slowing down the game a little and protecting more the survivor from tunnel and camp should help the meta game to flow in the right direction.: what if every gen requires 120 seconds instead of 80? What if a survivor requires 120 seconds per hook state instead of 60?
The increase of time for the gens will make the TB less impactful and the game slower and better for the chasing killers. Obv some perks like pop should be nerfed.
The increase of the hook stages, increased also in relationship with the already increased gen time, will make camping time expensive and a viable strategy only in the endgame.
We all know the 2 main issues in the game itself (ignoring perks, ignoring toxicity, the game itself) are the excessive speed compared to the chasing times for killers and the camping/tunneling of killers for survivors.
-
Maybe HL and TS.... but Devour Hope is too strong to protect it further. If you want more protection for your Devour bring Undying
-
I sadly think that any change in the maps will need months to be done.
Even thou there still are some infinites for everyone and several infinites for 110 killers.
The only thing you can do if you play a killer sensitive to windows right now is to go either bamboozle or crowd control.

The ability to correct a mistimed flashlight save with a short click would be impacted, making flashlight saves even harder than they already are. Don't get me wrong, the person you responded to is repulsive, but let's not act like a flashlight click delay is even a remotely good idea from a gameplay perspective, in a game where responsive controls are a must. The only solution I can think of that would actually protect epileptic players without disrupting gameplay is a setting that makes flashlight beams anywhere from 0%-75% more transparent, on a slider. And that would be a client-sided setting that hackers wouldn't be quite so able to find a way around, unlike a delay on when you can reclick your flashlight.
You really saying that you need a flashlight speed of 1/50 th of second? You know that everything under 1/30 th of second is invisible to human eye?
Please guys... stop BS

There are plenty more explanations and at least one of them is the applicable one here. I don't even really know what a macro is. I mean, I know what it does based on the context I see it in, but other than that no.
I think autonomy in a video game is important and if you start changing things to accommodate for every condition what kind of game do you have left. People with disabilities should determine for themselves what is safe and have all the means to do so.
If the change is super minor for you but can save lives for them, like this, it is only a positive change. Like when they iintroduced the colourblind mode.
Did your games get signifitanctly worse because of that?
Either you are completely ignorant, completely awful human being or a macro clicker kid. Choose your poison.

People have more than the right to make a video game without giving any consideration to how it may affect certain conditions or disabilities. Kind of on each individual to make wise decisions about what is a safe activity for them to engage in. Bhvr, don't give into the snowflakes!
Your comment is horrible.
Noone asked to change something in the core of the game, literally nothing will change in the torch usage, people only asked for a very minor adjustment to help sensitive people TO NOT DIE!
And you call them SF. Probably only because you like to harrass macro clicking, there is no other explanation.
I have no words.
