If it deactivated once you jump in a locker it'd be fine, this way it's obnoxious and unfun.
Why are you tunneling the person anyway?
If you're not tunneling them, then being in a locker is of no advantage to them.

Alright. By your own twisted logic, we should just remove the ability for survivors to suicide.
Therefore, survivors would have unlimited escape attempts. Yep. There ya go. Problem solved.
We did it boys! Suiciding is no more!

That's why I'm asking. All of these items are shown to survivors via a white aura.

You still left with the most points... plus extra because of BBQ... I don't see what the issue is here. I'd love to have my matches end like that.

Ever tried an endgame build? Or Dr 3 Gen?
-
Only thing I'd change is the Devotion lock.
Don't let anyone in who's Devotion 1 or higher. Just at all. No amount of "reduced bp" is going to keep them away so it's better to just make a "beginners only" mode.
Even then, the Devotion lock can still have consequences. What if a player is a killer main who wants to try survivor? In this case, it shouldn't be based on Devotion level but instead hours invested into either the killer or survivor role. If needed, I wouldn't mind changing Devotions levels so that you have 3 of them: 1 for killer, 1 for survivor, and 1 for overall. Where only your overall Devotion level provides bloodshards upon level up while the other two are strictly for statistics.
-
Why are killer addons in the game?
-
I guess I should've said that I'm rank 7.
-
There are currently no servers on any platform. It's all peer-to-peer connections. However, an account transfer (and possible future crossplay) could prove successful. I like the idea.
-
Honestly I think that it would be a good buff if Windows of Opportunity actually let the user negate Cruel Confinement as a counter. Windows of Opportunity is already a weak/unused perk and could use a slight buff.

Self-care, DeadHard, DS and Adrenaline. This is in my opinion the best build a solo player could have to survive at red ranks. If you are good at chases you can change self-care for borrowed time to counter tunnelers and proxy campers. Or equip Balanced landing with deadhard just to improve your chases.
Doesn't look bad. I might try that but replace Dead Hard with Balanced Landing. Seems that every time I run Dead Hard, the killer's connection is all over the place.
-
Alright... so if we're bringing back killer stealth, let's talk about survivor stealth then!
Time to nerf the Doc into the ground!
-
Also...
if perk_equiped(no_mither)
{
then
{
play_music_injured(false);
viewable_broken_status(false);
}
}

Doctor and all the changes to aura perks that effectively make stealth pointless.

Gen-Rushing is when survivors work on generators instead of going afk.

Well, is a hard problem to fix because is not a "problem itself" but a bad behaviour problem. This is taking the player as a hostage in my opinion and should be punished.
Not too hard to fix. Just have the entity kill me as soon as the killer closes the hatch.
-
The addon would've only affected two of the players... XD
-
My idea of a fix for this is just let it become a hatch game. If the survivor finds it first, they can leave. If the killer finds it first and closes it, then the survivor just gets endgame sacrificed the second it's shut.
-
@Azurlynx said:
Jump into locker, might make em wana hook you.
Tried several times. They just put me back down. Even if they end up dropping me to let me run, it doesnt matter. Hatch is closed and killer knows where I am. That exit gate isn't getting opened.

It's literally just a red mask. Calm tf down dude.
You really wanna complain about exclusives? Talk about Legacy.

@martin27 said:
Not a practical solution but being able to deter unsafe unhooks will help the camping problem, because why should a killer not camp when so many survivors will do unsafe unhooks withoug BT and speed up the sacrifice process.
Exactly. Now, if and when a killer camps, a survivor can't just farm their teammate in front of the killer.

When you die because you werent farming them, but they decided to kick you off anyway, is that gonna be fun or tolerable? Wed have threads every day about it.
Maybe an unsafe unhook is the only option. Maybe I have BT. Kicking away your savior because YOU perceive it to be a bad idea, is heavily abuseable and a tad selfish. I mean, they DID risk getting you, and unsafe farm unhooks dont grant wglf stacks.
If you weren't farming them, then you wouldn't die.

And now you're both injured/hooked instead of having one run free while the other is chased.
That really sounds optimal to you?
Yes. That way someone could go for a save without being chased by the killer and the guy who wanted to farm me is getting punished.
-
@Seanzu said:
Hopefully never, it used to sound like a good idea, but thinking about it more, it will be used like @Carpemortum says, people will just not let you save just to get you killed.
If the killer isn't near me then them kicking me away won't get me killed.
-
@Carpemortum said:
So that salty teammates can lure me over and refuse the help, because they dont know if I have BT or well make it or any other stupid reason they want to troll?
Noty.
Youre only ever farmed with unsafe unhooks. This wouldn't stop that, it would simply give the killer 2 people because had they been able to save you and you kicked them, they're now ######### as well as you still being hung.
It will stop that. If someone comes up to me to farm, I can kick them away. They get chased instead of farming me. Problem solved.

You cant lunge backwards anymore. They shadow-removed that some patches ago. Now you can only lunge forwards and sidewards.
Then why can I still do it?

My thoughts exactly. I'm assuming this is a killer main that said this?
I don't main either side. When I get bored of one, I swap over to the other back and forth.
-
I completely agree.
A lunge should be just that. A LUNGE.
What we currently have is a button you press that allows the killer to gain a speed boost while moving freely on the horizontal plane. That's not a lunge.
And yes, the new positives to this being the faster missed attack cooldown and increased lunge distance are good too (and seem to be overlooked by just about everyone else in this thread for some reason).
So many times, I see killers lunging backwards and hitting survivors and that just doesn't make any sense.
I also see myself and others playing killer and having that problem where you swing and lunge only to randomly have your lunge cut short and hit nothing somehow. This new change would fix that.
Overall, great idea! It brings a new dynamic to the game while also fixing issues on both the survivor AND THE KILLER sides.

Power is neat! Some more info would be nice. Mostly how wide are the walls? Also would recommend some sort of delay between uses. This can easily block off vaults and pallets so there would still have to be some sort of counter-play.
KILLER PERKS
Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil- Neat! A bit to good compared to Monitor & Abuse.
Sign Language- Pretty original, I like that. Might not be so good at higher ranked games with SWF.
You're Next- Time is probably a little to short.
SURVIVOR PERKS
See No Evil, Speak No Evil- Does it stop all noise or just the repairing noise? If it stops all this is probably to good.
Sensing Struggle-Seems like a weaker Bond
Higher Power- This is neat, but not really a counter to BBQ&C if that is what your going for.
So yeah overall I like this. The power is to good allowing the killer to block off all possible escape routes for survivors. Also flashlights should burn through them similar to hag and wraith. Also did a great job organizing your ideas.
The wall length would probably be about 2-3 meters. Add-ons could also work with that. A delay of maybe 10 seconds would be good too.
Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil is supposed to only apply to generators. You could stack it with M&A.
See No Evil, Speak No Evil only stops repairing noise.
Sensing Struggle has a greater range and applies specifically to people in chases.
Higher Power isn't supposed to be a direct counter to BBQ, but more of a better and more useful aura canceling tool than Sole Survivor.
I also like the idea of flashlights burning the walls.
-
@Peanits said:
That was tested quite a while ago in an early PTB; it was deemed to be too exploitable.
Counter measures can be taken. The survivors can't exploit it if it doesn't apply while the killer is in a chase.

Stop generator progression while there's a hooked survivor.
I mean, only if that also stops all killer mobility, attacks, interactions, and abilities.

Camping is a strategy, it isn't fun, but it is a strat.
Camping is as much of a "strategy" as sitting in a locker while you wait for all your teammates to die.
-
Literally just stop hook-death progression while the killer is in X-meters of the hooked person.
HOWEVER! They should also make it so that if the killer is in a chase, then the hook-death progresses as normal.

@Tzeentchling9 said:
You do well with BL against Survivors who can't run optimally along loops because the mid-speed punishes that? You don't say. It's almost like that was the point of the mid-speed vault.I do well with bloodlust since killers are already faster than survivors and any speed boost I get is appreciated.

While I hate lagswitchers I don't really feel bad for a guy who's known for being toxic and running in an SWF squad which is basically cheating too.So yes, the game is cheaterinfested, what's new.
- Depends on your definition of "toxic". If you mean using the perks in the game as well as items, then no. That's not toxic. That's using existing game mechanics.
- SWF isn't cheating. Again, it's an existing game mechanic. Frankly, it's a game mechanic that makes for easy kills due to survivors basically throwing themselves at you if you down one of their friends.

Always has been. On what planet does dropping a pallet take longer to do than a mindgame? That's kinda the point. Pallets = easy. While mindgames = skillful.

However, the Devs seem to dislike a perfect fix for some reason. Until they realize this, windows will be a death sentence.
Lol no just no. This would make looping way too easy and wouldn't even leave room for faking windows because you don't have to go it at an angle. This is a terrible idea and I laugh at you HAHA
Make looping too easy? Do you really think it's hard to do right now? If you think running in a circle is difficult, then I suggest you play a different game.
Plus, you shouldn't fall for a fake window in the first place. No one in the right mind would run that close to a window and still vault it with the current "medium" vault.
Not to mention that attacks still go through windows anyway, so yeah... -

IMO, this is actually worse then Hacking, since Killers still have somewhat of a chance.Huh? When lagswitching, there's still the chance to lose. Hacking is unlimited power.
You have that backwards. Lagswitching basically freezes survivors in place. Hacking depends on what hacks you're using. I've escaped from hackers before. Never escaped a lagswitcher.

It was that way, until Survivors ruined it by abusing infinites.
Except infinites don't exist anymore. We are LONG passed the days when every window was open and every gap had a pallet in it.
And having a fast vault at any angle won't help bring some of those back? The killer shack alone would gain a few more loops if the Survivor could kiss the wall all the way around and still get a fast vault.
No, it wouldn't. As long as bloodlust and mindgames still exist (even though they got rid of mindgames at the cow tree), then fast vaults would be fine. All the "medium" vaults do is cause people to DC from a worthless mechanic that the game attempts to draw the player to.
