Meh, this could be better. I meant perks that actually get things done lol. However, you aren't wrong. I wonder what a buffed version of this would look like.

But what if vigo came in the realm willingly like talbot, how could you trust someone who enters a world of terror just by their free will
He doesn't really seem like the kind of person to willingly come into this realm though, he also acts like it is a comforting hell where he is.
-
I think we should trust him, he is just another person pulled into the realm of the entity against his will after all.

OoO in solo queue, you mad lad
I have only actually used it once; got pretty good value out of it, but I like using other perks more. It feels weird to look the opposite way where the killer isn't to use a perk.

Because the datas would actually show that the game is way more killer sided than people pretend.
If they keep releasing nerf after nerf there's a reason behind it. The avg forum user doesn't have a tool to analyze such datas and giving him those raw stats would just make this community that is already whiny even worse.
Would you be so kind as to explain how this game is killer sided?

Why? He would get slowed down and he has to uncloack before hitting you.
Even at shack he wouldn't be able to do anything because survivors can vault infinitely if he's cloacked, the only thing he could do would be blocking the pallet but than again survivors could just vault. He could block the window but he would still be slowed because he traversed a wall.
They could find a way to make him more ghost like without giving us a spirit 2.0 for easy wins.
All its fine untill he has to uncloack.
True, but that would require a LOT from the devs. They still have yet to fix the nurse bugs. Also Wraith going through walls while cloaked still doesn't help him in a chase.

aside from making lots of addons base kit: ghost, bone clapper and of course windstorm (why is spirit's phase faster than wraith's cloak? and wraith can be light burned while uncloaking meanwhile spirit has no uncloak/phase movement penalty?)
an addon that give true invisibility at close range?
i like the idea adding some kind of pressure to his base kit but i think stuff like this is already in his addons particularly the bone clapper, ghost , hex ruin combo works like that. ie. everyone in the match gets off the gen every time they hear to cloak for fear of getting grabbed/hit which in turn regresses the gens until they see someone's icon change to injured or dying.
he has all the tools in his addons but is base kit is just piss poor likely the worst in the game or as bad as trappers. with half of wraith's addons being god-like(all seeing's, clappers, windstorms, the ghost) and half being unusable or unnoticeable(the beast, the serpent, shadow dances, blinks, swift hunts)
he need stuff added to his basekit to make in more than just worse spirit and half of his addons need to be reworked to not be awful
I see what you mean, but I don't think that he should only be able to really pressure survivors only through the use of addons. With addons, he becomes so much better, but even then he could use something.
As I said, I think that he should place a brand new status effect on survivors with his bell since it makes sense with his power. The only question is what effect?
-
@Freddy96 said:
He should be able to traverse walls but with a downside like getting slowed every time he does so. Also for obvious reasons he shouldn't be able to uncloack near walls.
You could never really get away from him if this was the case, or at least newer players would have a really hard time against him.
-
@JPLongstreet said:
Imagine an add-on that torches up his bell, blinding nearby survs when he decloaks. Payback from years of Flashlight damage.
Or an add-on that charges his bell, allowing him to OverPop a gen with, well OverPop goodness. Say 35% regression and the skill check.
Or my Piggy's traps gain a harsh penalty to repair speed, healing, whatever. Or Trapper's hurt movement speed for like 20 sec.
Things like this, stronger effects tailored for each killer, are I think decent ways to help weaker killers.
Maybe, but I think we have to get more creative with the effects. I am trying to think of a completely new status effect for the Wraith specifically.

Nah, Botany Knowledge increases healing speed, not efficiency. 3 heals, maybe 4 if he got lots of great skill checks.
I agree with the comment on Windows, its a beginners perk that an experienced Survivor doesn't really need once they learn how jungle gyms and pallets spawn. Its better to run Desperate Measures, since it doesn't just do healing but affects all altruistic actions (healing, unhooking, etc.).
Spine Chill came in clutch against a Mikey, but once you're more aware it'll become less and less needed.
Uh botany does do both? Did they change it in the PTB?

@MadLordJack said:
Because to be perfectly honest, its like throwing kerosine on a bonfire.
Really? Would everyone freak out over it in a bad way?
-
I think it would be better if it would activate 32 meters from the survivor being downed in any way, so a huntress hatchet would trigger it around where the survivor is. Maybe reduce the cooldown a bit as well.
-
Probably
-
At 2:59 it is important to note that you can actually fast vault that in these jungle gyms. You have to do what you probably did there unintentionally which is touch the wall and then vault the window when you run at the window and get as close as possible without stopping. Very simple and easy once you do it a few times.
Be more aware of where the killer is at all times, it seemed that you were unaware during the middle of the match where he was even though you could see him through the windows.
Learn window and pallet locations, that way you won't need to run windows of opportunity. It is really easy actually.
I suggest not running botany knowledge unless you are going to be heal oriented during a match. The medkit you brought would have healed you 3 times if you didn't miss a skill check on its own. With botany, you probably would have gotten maybe a 4th heal if you hit a great skill ckec, but still, I wouldn't suggest you run that.
I know you are on console, but if you can I would suggest looping around objects more smoothly.
In the end, it seemed like you were moving a bit too slow and hiding behind objects when you didn't really need to. In fact, it would have been better out in the open to save just a little bit of time. You want to hide when you really need to, for example, if you are on death hook and injured.
That is pretty much it as far as I could tell.

"Also, why should it be a risk/reward situation for doing a good job of sneaking up on survivors without being heard?"
You answered your own question here.
My mistake, but you still get the idea, the Wraith can't fully sneak up on average to good survivors that easily in his early game especially on more open maps such as the Macmillian estate or Autohaven maps. This buff is very necessary and definitely a good change.
-
a-are you serious?
-
Yes, along with just about every other perk in the game.
-
Getting rid of the perk tiers sounds good to me. Even with this though, the grind will still be insane because there are a lot of useless things to buy in the bloodweb.
-
Kindred with just about anything really. Kindred is definitely a must in solo queue.
Off the record is an underrated one that can help if your teammates farm you off hook. It also pairs nicely with Object of obsession.
Sprint burst in case a person farms you off-hook you can at least run away faster.

His buff is unnecessary because it should be a risk/reward situation. You can still hear Michael breathing and Ghostface's cape? flapping around. I don't see why Wraith needs to be completely invisible. Unless the devs just think the current crop of killer players are that incompetent.
Being able to be seen from across the map while cloaked was kind of redundant and defeats the purpose of being "cloaked". The bell that the Wraith uses, the snarling sound he makes, and stomping feet is his warning for when he is close. The current crop of killer players isn't incompetent, for the most part either.
Also, why should it be a risk/reward situation for doing a good job of sneaking up on survivors without being heard?

I also frequently see legion and deathslinger, not much freddy though. It seems only more skillful killers play freddy when I an up against one, which is ironic.
-
It is fine as it is now and also with botany. I suggest treading lightly with a perk that can allow survivors to heal themselves without a medkit of teammates.
-
Yeah I remember that, I remember that selected participants were given auric cells, but nothing ever came out of that.
-
Because this game is broken.
-
Spirit because she is the most broken out of all of them. The sad part is that her design was intentional.

Cheers, I'll consider this
I meant that *Oni is very strong and balanced
-
The *ONI is a great killer, very strong but balanced.
However, Clown probably has the best perks out of these guys (not including blight's undying since that is getting nerfred). Pop goes the weasel is a 5/5 killer perk for sure, he also has bamboozle which is good on Myers, billy, and bubba.
But, since you are going for the best killer, I suggest Oni. He is also not difficult to play after you get a feel for his movements.

I disagree with that, I feel like most players make the mistake of trying to constantly chase with him instead of doing hit and run which is where a lot of wraiths strength lies.
Especially with ruin undying; wraith can comfortably run pretty much every slowdown perk in the game at once if you want. Ruin, thanta, dying light, mangled addon, windstorm, and then play a hideous war of attrition instead of the traditional chasing game.
Either way I think he is too fast to warrant a base kit instadown, we already have ghostface. And as I mentioned he can easily make use of instadown perks if you build him for it.
The hit and run playstyle with Wraith is a good one, but it is easily undone with healing. Of course, knowing this you should run sloppy butcher, but even then it is still reasonably easy to undo his progress especially with medkits.
-
@SilentPill said:
The difference is that wraith is a monster with addons. Ghost face and Myers not so much unless it’s tombstone or perma tier 3.
Having a purple windstorm wraith coming to instadown you is ridiculous, and can already be achieved through some of the 1 shot perks in game.
Try dragons grip or MYC with the wall hack addon
Even with addons such as the silent bell and purple windstorm together, the Wraith will still suffer. A decent player can deprive him of his initial hit frequently and he has no other power in a chase.
@Maelstrom10 said:
ie if it was balanced - ie no lunging, lunging would take it away, and he had a very short window where he could instant down, without him just being able to enter stealth during a chase and get off an instant down.
idk it just feels like most other stealth killers, or killers with stealth mechancis (billy with addons/tinkerer as an example) have instant down potential. - sure nobody would like to go down in one hit to an opponent they don't see coming, but at the same time is that really any different to a ghostface or myers sneaking up on someone?
It is a pretty crazy idea honestly lol. It would destroy casual solo players and just doesn't seem that great of a fix for him. I did make a post on how we could try to rework Wraith. My main concept right now is to have him put a passive effect on survivors over a match using his bell. The question then is what effect or what should it do?
-
An Oni, I love facing someone who is good at Oni. When they use their power and know how to glide and do all sorts of tricks with it, the match can get pretty interesting. My only concern is my teammates lol they usually go down in less than 20 seconds.
-
@kaijudane said:
Rework? He's already getting an unnecessary buff in this next patch. He also has insane add ons that give him total silence and aura reading ability outside of perks the player may or may not use.
His add-ons that make his bell silent and see auras are strong but manageable. Just because he has good addons does not make him a great killer. How was the buff unnecessary? The fact that survivors can see him across the map right now defeats the purpose of hiding while being cloaked.
-
@Airless said:
I don't think he needs a complete rework. All he really needs is a buff to his cloaked movement speed
He could have billy movement speed and have great map traversal yes, but I am talking about giving him chase potential. Right now, all he does is swing at you like a madman, he is an m1 killer if you will. So, I believe that he really does need a rework.
-
The broken status effect lasting 90 seconds is just what this perk needs to prevent this from being used frequently. Remember that the effect that this perk has is massively powerful and yet balanced. This perk is an anti-tunnel perk. The point of it is to save your teammate and get the killer off of them or suffer through another health state. I have used this perk quite a few times and it is pretty good when used this way. Changing it to 60 seconds would make this perk used much more often with less of a penalty.
-

Unbreakable should be basekit and the Perk should give you unlimited tokens to revive yourself.

@Trashmaster said:
Color blind settings are generally abused in games, and this one wouldn't be an exception. There probably won't ever be colourblind mode in dbd
How? How would one person seeing a color a little brighter be enough to abuse the setting? In dbd, I am pretty sure that the only thing that would be important to see differently in dbd are scratch marks and auras. So if a person sees scratch marks a little better, how is that abuse? I say that it wouldn't affect general gameplay except for people who are colorblind.
-
A tip for nurse is to use the first blink to get close to the survivors and the second to get really close for a hit, that is probably the most important nurse tip to know.
-
@dspaceman20 said:
I have an idea for a rework for him.
I think he should have the ability to send clones to look for survivors when cloaked. This would keep survivors guessing if its the real killer or not.
I think that wouldn't really fit the Wraith as a killer, this sounds great for Doctor though.
-
This PTB is nowhere near the level of garbage as chapter 18. The HUD will most likely be changed because of the backlash and undying shouldn't be the only perk a killer should HAVE to run to win. Their core design needs to be fixed. Undying was very RNG reliant which created pretty unhealthy gameplay and yes, I have run this multiple times with ruin so I think I can say that this perk needed a nerf. It might not have been the best nerf, but it was still necessary. A player who has play 4,500+ hours in this game should expect something like this from the game, it shouldn't be that way but unfortunately, it is. The Clown buffs were still good, he may still be a good killer but the change to his power is only good.
-
Not necessarily, she can apply pressure to survivors with an active trap without even being close to them. The huge problem and design flaw in her power is the RNG aspect. She will need a a rework mostly to her traps and a few buffs and changes to the ambush and she will be good.
-
Freddy | Plague
Plague definitely ate her veggies growing up.

Yeah, I can see why a less experienced killer would dislike DS more than the average killer player. It sucks, but it can be dealt with most of the time rather efficiently if you know what you are doing.
