I brought some survivor pudding

Welcome to the PC gang.

Please tell me how Deathslinger is good
He has an ability that can zone out survivors and has high lethality in a chase. He can also have a pretty small terror radius when using M&A which helps him sneak up to people more often.
-
It is a game of 2 minutes and 26 seconds
-
Yeah, I noticed that in the macmillian maps only so far.
-
Because it is not hopeless 100% of the time, no dev needed for this one.
-
Myers just hitting tier 3 on you in the open but his left hand is seemingly more open than normal
Also Oni

Those The Game concept arts look way to clean and tidy for a Saw setting, where are all the garbage, dirt, trash and overall grittiness the movies have?.
We didn't see the rest of the map so we can't say for sure that the dirt and grime is gone yet.
-
What I like to do is say "gg gl on next" every end game chat unless people start to trash talk. The best thing you can do to both make them more upset and move on politely is by simply telling them what they did wrong and what they can do to improve, then say "it's just a game" and "have a nice day". I have gotten pretty salty comments on my steam profile because of it.
-
I don't think the clown rework is ready yet, but I think that the Wraith buffs will come out so I am looking forward to that.
-
I play without DS just fine.
-
legion
-
RE was hinted?
-
A lot of things could be updated besides this one perk though, I feel like it is fine as it is right now.
-
Pyramid head or Oni, I can't really decide.
It feels great to run around insta downing survivors as Oni, but it also feels great to be a consistent threat to survivors while also saying fu to their perks.
-
Maybe, I feel like he just needs to get a buff here and there. He is pretty meh most of the time since to beat him all it takes are survivors breaking LOS.
-
The most accurate statements were the survivors rushing saves without BT and killers not knowing how to chase survivors properly and not pressuring the map most games.
-
Low tier because her traps are way too RNG reliant.
-
Ok, but how often are any of us going to be put against these survivors? I can't remember a time I have been, and I have played this game for 1700+ hours. However, it does make a good point about how map design is pretty bad if you think about it.
-
I feel like they will just fit the game much better in terms of detail or lighting.
-
idk, I really dont see him being in this game
-
So because a group of survivors made you feel bad one game means you want to take out your anger on a bunch of innocent survivors? Makes sense.

Too much potential for hostage builds. Many killers could just select a cluster of 3 gens and set the tent there from the beginning and drag out the game.
Gens are the killer's secondary objective to attain their primary objective. The primary objective is to kill survivors. It's not the other way around. That order should never be reversed and there should not be basekit abilities to stall the games like that. To slow down is ok, but not to stall. Base regression and generator damaging are fine like that for a reason.
I don't understand what is that irks people so much about tapping gens. Or, maybe I do. It's they're taking issue with the fact that what they did can be undone faster. But that sentiment is misguided. In reality, one shouldn't kick a generator unless they have a very good reason to. If the gen gets tapped immediately, it was a bad time investment not because regression got stopped, but because you should have chased immediately, not wasted time kicking. It's not the fact that gEn tApPiNg iS oP that dooms you in that case. It's the bad decision making. The tapping, if anything, gives you a chance because the survivors lingers around instead of making more distance. That's also one of the reasons why I don't even use pop anymore. The pressure I get from chasing and downing is far greater than wasting time kicking with pop in many instances.
I don't think the hostage situation would happen often though, I have played this game for 1700+ hours and I have never seen a killer solely fixated on dragging out the game in any way.
You gotta admit, it is pretty dumb how survivors don't even have to restart the repair animation to get rid of the regression. Also, a common situation that happens is you kick a gen that will get good regression, but once leaving the area a survivor will eventually loop you back to it and reset it once they get there.
It is a small change that I think would be a nice thing to have in the game. The amount of progress on generators you can get sometimes is actually not bad. It does definitely help you especially when you need a little bit of regression. As a little bonus, it would also help you defend both a hook and a gen better since the survivor can't waste any time when going for a save especially if you are sort of guarding both which is not a bad idea.
-
At least you can fully counter this combo by getting rid of it, there is not much you can do to counter survivor perks or at least most of them idk.

Some perks are already band-aids anyway so making them basekit wouldn't be too beneficial. Kindred is useless if the killer doesn't camp so I don't see what's wrong with that. Same for Corrupt, survivors already counter that by hiding at the start of the match. It also makes endgame 3-gen harder since the last gens are spread out.
The few meta perks that I think SHOULDN'T be basekit are Detective's Hunch, Small Game, Iron Will, Exhaustion Perks, Adrenaline, and weirdly enough, BT. Identity V has a basekit BT that affects the unhooker as well and that made all the killers camp.
Just because some perks are already band-aid fixes doesn't really mean there should be more added. Kindred is still very useful too. It is not just to help everyone know in solo queue if the killer is camping, it also lets survivors know what to do and when. Put more simply, it helps survivors coordinate themselves a bit and helps them make more efficient plays. For example, if a killer is camping all other survivors would either try going for a very coordinated save with BT, or just work on gens.
Corrupt at lvl one is still pretty game-changing and survivors don't always wait it out.
Detective's hunch and small game are not meta perks, even with the ruin + undying meta. You could just bring a map to find totems every game.

I still hate the fact that OoO, one of the most antifun perks in the game, is not getting changed because "stats". Same thing with Legion, one of the most underwhelming killers to play as and one of the most boring to go against.
It really makes me lose faith on the balance decisions of this game.
Another reason this perk won't be changed is that it is very "thematic" or in correlation with halloween lore or something like that.
-
Wraith. This was right when I started DBD in very late 2017 early 2018, so before he was a tiny bit above garbage or clown tier. I immediately stopped playing him until he got a few buffs (I play him occasionally now) ever since I found out how bad he actually is.
-
I don't think that there should be perks base kit implemented on either to circumvent problems with the design of the game; I mean this more on your choices and reasons for the killer side.
People always say Kindred on solo survivors needs to be a thing, but I am just unsure on that. If every survivor in the high ranks (assuming they all know what to do), matches would feel like always going against a SWF group. Maybe this could be tweaked and then added, but I personally think it should not be base kit.
Corrupt being base kit would also feel pretty overwhelming especially since this would always be in a game. Lvl one corrupt is still strong, but remember that this is basically a 5th perk slot.
Instead, the game itself should be fixed, but we all know that'll take a while.
-
It is in a good state, but yeah I also agree that being able to 99% the gates is pretty dumb. I am not sure how to fix this though.

Survivors complain about high skill killers like Deathslinger/Nurse/Spirit(Without strider) and bad killers like Clown/Wraith....
So using what survivors complain about as a metric is about as useless as a paper mache umbrella in a rain storm.
Agreed. Then a high skill cap killer it is.
-
High, low skill killers will make survivors complain if they are good like freddy
-
They are still weak though. Sure you can do some mind games here and there, but they are just still weak.

I don't want to use the Hex: Ruin and Undying meta because of how boring it is. I just feel bad for the survivors. I like the idea of having Infectious Fright as the 4th perk, how do you feel about I'm All Ears?
I know, undying was just a suggestion so maybe use surveillance in its place since it works well with ruin and is good by itself.
I'm all ears is a decent to good perk on him and even better with the range addons. However, this is more fun than effective.
-
I would like jiggle physics to return. Clown would have a nice jiggly belly again.

Thank you! Also, what do you think of my future build for Pyramid Head? BBQ, Tinkerer, Hex: Ruin and what do you think should be the 4th perk?
It could be the meta undying if you want, or something like infectious.
Undying: I feel like I don't need to explain why you should use this, but use it if you want.
Infectious fright: I say this is a good p head perk because you can use it to better decide when to cage a survivor. If 1 survivor screams, it is best to cage. If 2 scream, you can probably cage and waste time if you can find the 3rd survivor somehow or guess where they are (far away from where the cage will take the survivor), and if you hear 3 screams somehow you can send a survivor to a cage and get good value out of it. It is also great in general and pairs very well with M&A.
-
I turned it off after a while. Not being able to talk to anyone was... weird. It was like playing with bots in a way. I also wasn't able to help people get better at the game (I am not mean to people) or criticize them either. Not being able to talk with cute survivors meming was another reason. Just lack of communication was the reason I turned it off.

I understand what you mean. But, I don't want to play a killer that I find unpleasant only because I'm hungry for BP. I main Pyramid Head and that's why I still want to play him while being able to earn tons of BP.
I see, in that case then playing p head with bbq is alright. Not exactly the most efficient perk on him nor the worst, but it will still get the job done. I recommend caging a survivor that was already hooked to get value out of the perk but still caging survivors.
-
Of course, hook related perks on him are still good, just a little less effective on him. Just remember that playing to p head's strengths of cages is great. However, if you want more BP, then I suggest using Doctor with bbq, beast of prey, infectious, and STBFL. With survivor pudding or BPS of course.
-
Oni and p head. There are just those moments where you are the reason all of the survivors just completely falls apart.
-
idk man, you just have to play harder

My poor Piggy needs to be able to carry more head traps. Honestly, If I play solidly for a day, I get maybe two or three kills out of them. Since they're her specific weapon, it is a bit of an annoyance when I've used all four, and all four have been removed safely. And once they're gone, I'm left with chasing and slashing. We can add on one, two or three would be better.
Yes, she still has stealth and lunge attack, but honestly, once the cat is out of the bag and the survivors know they're up against my Pig, it becomes harder and harder to use, because they're being more and more careful. At the start of the match, it's highly effective, to the point I can pull people right off gens with it, but later on, they are definitely being more careful, which makes it less effective, and are taking steps to evade.
Maybe, but her problem is more with the RNG aspect of her power and a bit of her stealth part. A survivor can either get it off the first try or spend a long time trying to.
Her ambush is not really an ambush for the tiger roar that happens the second she starts the channel. It is pretty useful in quite a few loops during a chase though.
-
Not nerfed but changed. The common argument for not changing it is that survivors had the chance to do totems and it is their fault for not cleansing them so they should be punished for doing this. Even Almo agrees with this which I will respectfully disagree with.
The thing is, it is not a common perk at mid to high ranks.
You will spend a great amount of your time (especially in solo queue) finding the totems and cleansing them for the small chance the killer could have it which is pretty counterproductive since in solo queue it can be pretty hard to win.
-
Unnerving presence is bad, but this is a good buff.
I feel like brutal strength could be buffed to 30%.
The agitation buff would be a bit nice to have.

I can't recall if Deathbound has a cooldown, or if it just can't proc again during the 60s the Perk is active, or if it can proc as many times as it wants.
Regardless, I'd suggest that the range on Deathbound be removed, but have a cooldown while the perk is active.
(as well as applying the Tormented barbed wire trail on the Deathbound Survivor (for all Killers), as a snazzy little effect).
Forced Penance could apply Deep Wounds? But I'm also unsure about this one.
Deep wounds would sound nice for a little buff, but there are probably other good ones that are better.
-
Yeah, they can be either very un-altruistic, or too altruistic. There is no in between. I have literally had a match where everyone went down to a demo AFTER I cleansed NOED. One wanted flashlight saves, the other one wanted sabo plays, and the third one just went down easily and was on the hook. I went down due to the the killer having mcdonalds wifi... I promise.
-
It can be pretty powerful only if you are up against all solo survivors.

Yeah. It's pretty subtle unless you're watching for it, but after about half a second, his hands get blood veins going, and that's your cue.
That sounds cool
