The gen's on its break
-
I can tell, because they are the ones who are very good and don't greed too much during chases. The ones who used it as a crutch still have a bad habit of being greedy when they don't have that luxury.
-
I definitely think that survivors are just letting themselves die a lot more now, so it is for sure messing with the kill rates at least a little bit.

Nobody uses it because it's weak.
But it isn't weak. Having even one link up and running is very helpful which you are guaranteed to have the whole game. It also goes both ways, so your team can see you.

I played against multiple Clowns in the last two days who seemed way more effective than normal. I guess that's the explanation, lol.

Right now I run it with Kindred AND Empathic Connection. My teammates come to me if they're injured or I go to them to unhook them, and I always get some sort of value from just one altruistic action.
Tho I would be such a happy boy if it also worked with Co-Op actions in general.
I think that if EC worked with co-op it would be op. Imagine that with other things that increase speed for gens such as PT, resilience, and overzealous. This isn't even with toolboxes, it would break gen speeds for sure.
However that is definitely a good choice if you want to help your team. I would recommend running these perks with we'll make it for maximum value.

Aftercare is outclassed by other aura perks. If you're coordinating a play across the map, someone's probably on the hook which means Kindred's better.
If they're close to you, bond is better. You can even put on Open Handed to basically have a Bond aura reading so large it covers half/all the map depending on what map.
And the requirement to get after care to work means you generally only have 1-2 people sharing auras with you, before your hooked and its reset.
After the game is set in motion, meaning you are hooked, then aftercare always gets you value. Even if you are hooked you are guaranteed to have one link of aftercare running (on the survivor that saves you from the hook).
Bond is good, but the range is limited and only works for you. Using open handed may increase its range, but you are most likely better off running another perk in its place and it still only works for you.
I think aftercare is very underrated, and that it is worth running.

Just split up

No, it's not weird that there are teens on here. It's obvious with all the whining, ranting and insults that infect almost every thread. That said, the adults probably behave more childlike than the teens.
Anyways, hope you have a good adulthood. Stay away from alcohol, there is no benefit to it and it only ruins lives. Also, I hope you got some delicious cake.
pretty sure most of the adults act just as good as the teens on here lol

If you lose to a baby killer what do you think that makes you for losing to said baby killer?
-
I miss the old atmosphere, the new one has gotten stale and I hate it.
-
I disagree, there are definitely a lot of times that it takes the killer all game to build up stacks. And I think it is fine to mainly have m1 killers run this perk because they have to build it up over the course of the game. If they are lucky they can get it working by mid-game.
-
I swear if it is a spirit or nurse my teammates are guaranteed to kill themselves on hook.
-
Oh you know same as before. Potato dwight, bush claudette, boon and self-care in corner Mikaela. The usual.
-
Only if he is using any other addon besides AR. That needs to be nerfed. But otherwise yes.

Yeah I hear you mate. Still her being better now than before is a step in the right I direction. Maybe they can make her m2 more lethal m?
If they made her ambush good, then I think it would be right to either take away the stealth. I feel like a killer with good slowdown, a strong chasing power, AND stealth would be a bit busted.
I think her new ambush should still be a dash, but actually applicable in a chase.
-
I think it went from being a 6/5 perk to a 2/5 perk. It still has a use, but it is no longer op so I see this as an absolute win.

Ok so where did you think pig was at before and where would you place her now?
Before she was D-tier. But honestly? Even with the buffs she got last time to her addons, I would place her in the lowest of C-tier. This is because her ambush ability does nothing against survivors who just hold W. Against better survivors you are essentially a slower m1 killer with slowdown. A lot of her addons still suck too. The stealth can sometimes help, but is also kinda weak.
The only thing that makes her strong is when running tampered timer and crate of gears. But again, she is an m1 killer. They might be stronger without dead hard, but they can still be dealt with very easily.
-
All of them technically. Without dead hard I do feel like I am more threatening with Pig, or any other m1 killer. However they still do suck and still need full changes or reworks.
Pig's change/buff to her traps should not be seen as a rework, or massive buff. She still needs a rework to COMPLETELY remove RNG from her power. More consistent doesn't mean totally consistent, which is what every power should be like.

Well, pings and base kit kindred WOULD buff swf. That being said, I have ALWAYS been for the idea. Heck, optional voice chat would be fine by me too. I know survivors are afraid of other survivors, but it would go a LONG way into closing the gap and you could just mute the toxic players. You know? Same advice they give to killers regarding end game conduct.
Optional voice chat is scary tho lmao

If everyone spawned together, anyone, especially Blight with Lethal Pursuer will be able to chase 4 people off gens at the start of the game every game. This, coupled with the increase in gen times would be horrendous.
That is completely avoided if the survivors split up.

how did he get hurt again and how so
Zeke went suicidal and the thunder spear levi had attached to him with his hand was set off. He doesn't die, but is shot back from the explosion and is injured.

Not really actually. There is like one guy in the 4th season, but I stopped watching it after it went off the rails. Season 4 was a letdown for me.

Bruh, are you forgetting that not even one month ago TF2 players started a massive protest because their game was basically completely abandoned? Not saying BHVR is the best, but valve is farthest thing from good game maintenance out there.
Yes, but the difference is that when valve works hard to make a good game, it becomes one of the most timeless and amazing games ever. Literally their most popular games such as TF2 and LFD2 (which I still play) are over 10 years old and they are still awesome. Even TF2 without the heavy update is a blast to play. Valve creates perfect games, BHVR does not. Yeah their maintenance sucks, but they definitely make some amazing games.
-
If valve owned this game, it would be leagues better.
Instead praise the man the myth the legend mcote.

I think it is over exaggerated how much people like anime. Think about it, people go crazy for all sorts of things. Take sports for example. I think anime just happens to be one of those things people can get excited about.

I only remember a handful of times where it actually helped. Give us an option to turn it off.

If it makes you feel better it looks like you'll have every teachable survivor perk at level 3 on every character the instant the patch hits.
Thats not enough for me man, but thanks for the knowledge.
Also, do the survivors have to be level 50 p3, or just p3?
-
@tippy2k2 said:
Same
Oh wait, you mean about the P3 thing?
Oopsy. I didn't bother doing it. I've been playing for over 2 years now and just never really bothered to do any prestiging at all. I figured at this point, it just wasn't really worth the effort of trying to fly through a bunch of prestiges to try to get some peeps at P3.
the only real reason I was doing it on a bunch of my survivors was so that the first page of survivors could all be a nice red color, now its going to be uneven

*hugz* I feel your pain.
It's even worse because I had enough time to at least get a few with the amount of BP I had stored up, but I used it all on leveling dredge who I just got.

Why do you need a slider, who would set their FOV to anything short of the maximum allowed amount? If the devs ever want to increase the FOV that's fine but a slider is unnecessary, just change the parameter to whatever the highest FOV is that doesn't cause gameplay or balance issues.
good point
-
fixin to have some rabbit stew...

Just give us an FOV slider. A setting shouldn't be tied to a perk.

Help me understand please...
You will always get usage out of this perk.
Survivors 90% of the time will spawn as far as possible from you. At least one or two of them would be on the furthest part of the map. This means that because of corrupt they will be forced to to gens closer to you, making them take longer to start repairs.
If you do end up chasing and downing a survivor at the start of the match, then you most likely will have already forced survivors to the part of the map that is away from the blocked generators.
So to recap, you are guaranteed value because no matter what survivors will be forced to move closer to you in the map to do more gens, therefore slowing them down. This also increases the chance of them grouping up on gens, meaning if you end up interrupting them later on you are now pressuring two survivors at once.

Map design is basically the cause of all issues in DBD. It is talked about a fair bit but not enough imo since it is by far the biggest issue current DBD faces
The truth is they don't care about gameplay and make the worst maps when it comes to balance. But hey, at least when you are running across a map the size of the sahara desert you can look at all the pretty trees.

You know, this reminds me of a story. It is an Old DBD tale, of course, but it is still fresh in my mind.
So there I was, playing Survivor on Old Shelter Woods against an Insta-Saw Billy. Said Billy was easily one of the best killer players I've ever seen: full P3 and extremely aggressive, barely gave us any time to do our objective.
But us Survivors did not back down.
We fought tooth and nail, really gave it our all. One could say that trial was a test of skill, in a way.
In the end, only two of us escaped. A tie, by my standards, but damn it felt like a victory.
At the time it was a victory to be proud of! Now it is a memory from a better time, and one that I hold dear.
I have treasured memories like that. One was actually against old clown (back when I sucked) on the grim pantry. It was a hell of a ride, and only two of us escaped.

@Mooks said:
Unpopular opinion:
Billy needed some kind of nerf and while they overdid it he is still in his current state a strong and viable killer - just has a higher skill floor and isn’t as effective as S-tier killers
I somewhat agree. But the issue with him were his addons. When combined the charge time addons were pretty damn powerful. They overdid it though, by so much.
-
Boring to play against tho

But it's especially noticeable on him, every killer has at least one add-on that does something gimmicky and goes well with some meme builds, except him. The only other killer that has the same level of uneventfulness on his add-on kit is PH and he at the very least has the obsidian goblet.
*laughs in pyramid head
