I thanked them for dev and mod interaction on the forums.

Sledgehammer nerf? They still cover like half of midwich. I never cared about the hex thing, I don't run hexes.
A perk that gives an entire team permanent medkits combined with we'll make it is absurd. It's a tacit nerf to legion and basically obsoletes sloppy butcher and hit and run playstyles.
-
This is indeed one of the dumbest things I have ever seen

He didn't need the change to dream pallet numbers.

I always run a mix of of information perks and chase perks. I usually have BBQ on (I like my 4 stacks!), Discordance, Enduring and then the final slot is for usually another chase perk. I'm currently liking Spirit Fury in an effort to wean myself off Brutal Strength.
Wasn't your tag formerly Mod? If you got a new position congrats.
-
I think I've gotten to get a Mori off devour like twice before it got cleansed, ever.
I hate hex perks.
-
Absolutely nobody would play ranked mode
-
Sometimes I'm just messing around, sometimes it's fun to chase very good survivor and see what they do.

Wait, what? You want to reward survivors for throwing the game? Um, I mean, yes! What a great idea. I really like this one. Please, let's add this to the game.
? Survivors on the hook aren't throwing the game. They're on the hook.

You can injure multiple people and force them to mend while you find someone else with their tracking ability. Having them mend gives Legion a source of slowdown while you find other survivors, not to mention Legion guarantees a free hit. If a survivor is looping you too much, you can frenzy them and find someone else while they mend.
Their power is for sure outclassed by other killers, but they're still very much stronger than given credit for. I do believe they need a buff though.
Good survivors scatter as soon as they see the mend icon by their teammates' names. You'll never chain hits if they play it right. Them you've gotta trudge back over to the injured person and try to secure a down as a powerless M1 killer.
They're fun. I main them. But they're awful.
-
They do.
I prefer the approach of giving survivors stacking distraction points up to 10k if they stay within 32m of the killer for their entire hook duration.
-
I never use them. They're just a liability outside of Ruin.

Anything that can make someone else angry in a videogame can be labbed as "Toxic".
Reckon the word means very little then

Is any of that stuff particularly "toxic"?

The codes are not going to be limited use from what I know, but they will be limited in time.
Thank you for this. I missed out on the charm last year(?) Due to having a full time job. I simply don't have the time to keep streams and the game open at the same time
-
So every game?
I try and kill folks. Might play a little dirtier than I otherwise would. Resign myself to a 1k.

@baseballfan4877 said:
yes. You might get paired with casual survivors first, but if you even think about trying to win you will be placed against sweaty survivors all day and it won't be fun
One time I had a vague dream about winning and got matched vs. Five full ttv lobbies in a row.
-
He's a good killer. He gets hate cuz folks don't play him properly.

They make a very noticeable sound (and clearly identifiable - it’s not like lit totems and fire barrels, they sound unique) when you’re within a decent range, and you stomp them with a short animation. It’s not like you have to run around the whole map to hunt them and spend time cleansing each one, you can just disable them quickly if and when you come across them in key areas.
Conversely, it takes a survivor 14 seconds to set so it’s a bigger time investment to keep resetting it than it is for the killer to just snuff it if they come across it.
Fourteen seconds for a powerful perk for yourself and a fifth perk slot for the other survivors.
It's busted. The time investment is way out of proportion for the potential value
-
At least it was possible to get rid of undying permanently.

If you're having skill problems, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems and the witch ain't one.
In all seriousness, I don't think it's that bad. Healing against Legion is a waste of time anyway, so now they're just getting tricked into wasting that time just because it's less time they're wasting. And you have plenty of time to take out the totem while they're mending (which is not boosted by healing circle). I don't know if you can snuff out totems during frenzy like how you can kick gens, but if you can then all the better. Legion also got a nice buff with the Third Seal and Blood Favor changes, and Thrill of the Hunt might be worth looking into if you're that concerned about boons.
Healing against legion is not a waste of time if it takes like three seconds. Then you're forcing legion to find you, then chain stab everyone, then by the time you're done everyone is healed up again. Thanat is pointless on him now, no one will ever stay injured because healing takes no time.

Not that it will matter if the effects themself aren't that strong.
The way it was worded also implies that boon totems only give their effects in a small radius "a small safe haven"
So it sounds like if it's out of your patrol zone you don't even need to worry about it.
People seriously need to wait for the actual effects before panicking
What happens when there's a strong boon in the middle of your three gen? You snuff it. It just gets relit when you turn your back. You can't do anything about it. It's a perennial side objective.
-
The update isn't out yet.

@ukenicky said:
I love how everyone is glazing over the fact that boons are going to be a side objective for survivors as well.
It takes time to bless and put a boon in place. It's already been confirmed that should a Killer find said boon totem they can remove it very quickly = a potential waste of the survivors time.
And we don't even know if the boons will be worthwhile either. I swear.. Watch the boons have weak effects and nobody end up using them 😔
But yeah, the way I'm seeing it is this is incentivizing survivors to do something other than gens and nobody is thinking on that lol additionally it will hopefully be fun. I really like the idea behind it and adding more mechanics into the game. Again this is all too early to be throwing tantrums over but hey go off
It's a side objective for 1/4 people as opposed to the person that does not have a team.
20 seconds to a survivor vs. A killer is a very different time frame.
-
Literally all he needs is the yellow shock detonation addon base kit.

Crazy how everyone's playing at high MMR.
On a serious note, we don't even know what Boon totems do. We have no idea. It could be broken. It could be something meaningless. It's too soon to complain.
Yes, I'm not especially good at the game, but nosediving your MMR is very hard as a killer, just like how depipping was almost impossible.
I started playing the game earlier this year and I was rank 4 killer within my first week of playing . Was it because I was a savant? Of course not. It was just really difficult to depip.
-
It's a fun game and I like it.

@DaWeezerd said:
No matter how much you lose, the system is going to do its job and stop you from lowering your mmr DELIBERATELY. The whole point of sbmm is to prevent players from lowering their mmr to play against weaker players.
How on earth do you think the system detects when someone is intentionally throwing? How does it differentiate between an intentional loss and a simple bad game?
Of course it doesn't. Don't be ridiculous. Just because it's invisible doesn't mean it's inscrutable. It was programmed by the same people that made the chat filter and couldn't figure out how to make Hoarder work properly. I guarantee you it's not capable of detecting that level of nuance.

According to Peanits you have an overall killer rating which is used to calibrate your MMR when you pick up a new killer. So you start at a baseline regardless and it changes from there.
Of course this begs the question of whether individual killer MMR is relevant at all. Reckon you're just expected to get stomped for 20-40 games on a new killer. I don't see how that's enjoyable or fair to the killer player, but I did not design the system.
-
Guarantee they're changing tampered timer.

@SweetTerror said:
Peanits stated in a different thread that it's going to take a while for the SBMM to properly adjust to your level as killer and survivor. He didn't state how many matches that could take, and obviously I can't speak for everyone, but if I'm getting steamrolled the last thing I want to do is "stick with it". The two matches of killer that I played when the SBMM went live were two of the sweatiest matches I've ever played, and I don't care to experience that over and over until things get supposedly better.
It's pretty wild that people say "just don't play sweaty lol"
Subjecting yourself to a string of losses for what? The vague hope that the obfuscated MMR will self correct and you can start having fun again? How many cocky, rude survivors do I have to endure being as rude as possible before I get to play how I want? How many games? Twenty? Thirty? It's like they want killers to burn out of the game by making the entire experience hostile.

Maybe just add in game voice chat for survivors. That's what VHS is doing.
VHS' win state is killing the killer, if that gives you a frame of reference for how much it has in common with DBD.

I have always enjoyed survivor more, and I've been taking advantage of the shorter queue times on that side. It's been pretty nice. Stress free games.
Used to play killer and felt like I was performing a public service and facilitating fun for others. It's nice to not have to do that anymore.

And you realize that the opposite wouldn’t be fun for your opponents, right?
killers are -for the most part- working similarly. You can M1 as everyone, mindgaming, game knowledge etc is same-y. It wouldn’t make sense to start with every new killer on the default/zero.
and you are only starting at the highest if your skill on another killer is so high.
Of course it makes sense for each killer to start at zero. Naturally as you get used to their mechanics it'll give your opponents a chance to complete objectives and ultimately, survive. They don't need a handicap because they aren't learning anything new. You do.
-
@Peanits said:
This is normal. When you play a Killer for the first time, the game will base your rating on your other Killers rather than the default/lowest rating. From there, it'll adjust separately as you play. If you have a few bad matches, your rating with that Killer will lower and you'll start to get paired with Survivors that you're more comfortable with. If you're a natural with that Killer, it'll stay the same or even increase depending on how well you're doing.
....... You are aware this is tantamount to not having separate ratings for different killers, yes? You start out at the max and work your way down as you lose. This is not an enjoyable or user-friendly experience.
-
I don't mind borrowed time at all, but dead hard is very annoying. Not knowing if you're safe to commit to a hit is just obnoxious. Iron will needs some sort of (very generous) duration timer.
-
You're not supposed to be able to get away from the killer. All you can do is buy time for your teammates.
Imagine it from the killer's perspective: they're against four people, each of them able to elude them indefinitely. How would that feel to play against?
-
Only if they can get the rights to "Hip to be Square"
-
Jesus. You're hired.
-
The threat of it is the most annoying part for me. Not knowing whether a survivor has it, no knowing when I get to swing after hugging their ass. It's 3/4 dead hards in every single game. Just tiresome.
-
He seems pretty good. Solid B tier killer, A tier with the right perks m

I saw it on this Reddit post. I don't have the perk so can't verify one way or the other.

Freddy and the entity are both reality manipulators, so I'd say he comes closest. Apparently it can alter the parameters of his abilities though, so probably not even him

I hate how survivors can't figure out how to get better themselves that they resort to shaming the killer to play in a way that is easier for them to win against.
None of that matters. Policing how folks play the game simply ain't it. I'd be in favor of giving camped and tunneled survivors big BP bonuses, but trying to force killers to play this or that way is harmful to the game

The new grade changes have pretty much removed the already minimal downside that camping had. You can no longer lose a grade, so if you camp at Iri 1, you will stay at Iri 1. I'd like to see some other form of punishment implemented, however it would need to be designed in such a way that it doesn't punish a killer for camping when they need to.
Depipping is not a punishment.
