You're missing the target. SWF is inherently OP, that's not even up for debate, that is a genuine fact. This game and all it's mechanics were built fundamentally on 4 Survs not having communication and super coordination as a baseline, that again is not up for debate, that is a fact.
We don't see SWF's differently, you just refuse to acknowledge it because you benefit from it, big difference there buddy. You've seen SWF stuff more often because the issue is getting ridiculous, there is no reason that every person who plays this game outside of a SWF (includes both SoloQ Survs and Killer) should suffer because SWF players want to retain their advantages.
Again, I don't care for BHVRs warped stats that don't even count DC's, I'm not interested and it's completely dishonest for people like you to keep peddling them and it's also hilarious how you guys keep using stats that are useless.
My brother in Christ what are you even talking about, I mentioned not a single dbd stat in my statement, I don't care about stats. I stated my personal games, and no we Don't see swf the same way you're terrified of them and crying to nerf to them while I welcome them that's night and day views.
Also just because you claim something as fact doesn't make it a fact ya know. You crying about what the game was built for, who cares it's been 9 years and guess what looping wasn't intended and yet here we are in the age of it. If you want easy games keep losing to the swfs and you'll get them it might take awhile because these seal team op swfs you speak so frequently of aren't that frequent. You cast aside all stats but have none of your own, if you consistently play these highly coordinated teams then you should easily be able to provide vod proof or at the very least a nightlight stat sheet I mean it compiles the match data for you.
Your right in at least a single point I do benefit from swf as you put it and it seems they crush your spirits. Maybe you should spend more time playing killer and it'll click you really don't have to be scared of these guys. Since you can't seem to understand this last point I Could Care less about DBD Stas MMR or anything else. If you can't or won't replicate your crying point to back it up then it's just talk plain and simple.
People like me are trying to enjoy this game not spread misinformation when we get beat to try and force nerfs, we're also smart enough to know you can't punish someone for playing with a friend in substantial way. You were probably the kid that always cried someone was looking at you in the car. For the last time swf is not inherently op, the good swfs your losing to would probably beat you with at least one other good team anyway and youd be here crying to nerf something else. Let's not forget your original point is to blame swf for camping and tunneling because you just can't win without it. At this point I can't wait until they just lean full force into swf so people like you can finally get better
-
Is the win con the score board at the end meaning bp amassed or everyone killed for killers/ everyone out for survivors/ or just you out for solo survivor?

Honestly i think they should have done this instead of the anti-3 gen we have now. Make it so survivors can slowly move the generators to a different location.
My man lol. As a huntress main I would love this, imagine pinging a survivor slowly moving carrying a gen that falls on them or pins thems to the ground......., all jokes aside I really don't see how this would be beneficial in anyway except for memeing or just trolling.
I've thought of something like dismantling pieces of the repaired gens (obvi the time to do it have to be worked out) to replace in one of the three last gens to circumvent 3 genning now this could a useless dumb idea as well lol

So the games "not that serious" yet all of you are opposed to balancing out SWF because then you wouldn't be able to bully Killers as your form of fun which leads to how awful the game is for everyone else whos not playing SWF? Ight lol
At the end of the day, you guys will use any sort of cop out excuse to justify the piss poor state of the game which has been leading to much worse gameplay and the degradation of the entire game, yet you all sit here and wonder "Why are SoloQ Survs not playing or "going next" as well as "OH Geeeee, why could Killers be slugging/tunneling/camping everyone and why's it allowed to be used and abused as an imaginary strat?". The dissonance is crazy lol
SWF nerfs doesn't impede people playing with their friends, it doesn't prevent people from queuing up in their stacks; stop using that as a crutch talking point as it has no basis in reality. It would no more impede SWF gameplay than any other balance change this game has every had in the entirety of it's existence. Stop being selfish.
My brother in the fog I think you're missing the target. SWF isn't I repeat "is not" inherently over powered, the power creep of Swift is the players that lie within certain swf groups keyword here is certain. Being in a swf doesn't automatically win matches if you're a terrible survivor then you're gonna be a terrible survivor swf or not. You preach as if all swfs have this magic discord up and chill and win and it's not that simple at all. It's the same with nurse cries yeah in the right hands she's a menace but if we're being actually honest I've only meet a select few nurses that were actual menaces and I've met hundreds that where meh. Same with swfs and guess what I'm a 96/4 ish killer/ survivor have the actual stats to prove that as well if you need them.
We see swfs differently and that's ok, you view them as this unbeatable Boogeyman while I view them (the few good ones we get every once in a while like 1/20 matches) worthy adversaires. A well oiled swf is peak game play challenge just like a well oiled killers whose put the time in to master the craft. After 3k plus hours(hell I hit this point after 1.2k) playing uncoordinated survivors isn't challenging and isn't gonna make me better or learning anything new. I'm to the point now where I haven't ran perks in the last year or so minus chaos shuffle, to make a challenge.
I know you don't want to hear it, but hard tunneling and camping ( although viable strats along with slugging) aren't always necessary every single match or even at all against most swfs. As long as you can apply needed pressure by getting quick downs winning mind games pitting the survivors and autism against them you'll come out on top most games. Some games you won't because another hard pill to swallow is there are people that are better than you out there survivors that will cook you, because in a game like dbd you can't play perfectly on every map every time. Once you accept these things your time responding to these post using the "swf" Boogeyman will cede and your time stomping these worthy competitors will increase.
I usually never weigh in (I'm a super lurker lol) but I've seen this swf stuff too often in the last week or so. It's always you don't play enough killer etc etc. I have 1k hours on nurse (p100 perkless), 1.3k on huntress(p100 Perkless), and around 800 or so on Freddy (P25 perkless) about 200 on survivor total ( just recently started surviving seriously)

Literally yesterday played Dredge and Lara went afk after first hit through pallet, which she dropped right on me after hit. I left her on the ground, because I knew she would have went next after hooks, so I decided not to ruin match and literally gave her opportunity to play the game while having huge disadvantage for me. What I saw further? Minute passed and she wasn't picked up, so I wondered what's happening. Turned out she pressed shift for that time so her teammates couldn't pick her up.
Imagine, people literally prefer bleed out on the ground for 4 minutes instead of playing the game, where killer gave you a head start after your mistake.
Players can be super petty in this game and I really understand very little of it like why even boot up the game
-
I was working to p100 Freddy but since the rework I haven't really touched him, just focused more now on P3 everyone. When the rework drops I'll get back to the Freddy grind. I already have p100 nurse and huntress.

People don’t DC against perkless Trapper all the time because 1.) Trapper has one of the lowest pick rates in the game and 2.) a killer playing with 0 perks is extremely rare. As for Doctor, I main him, have played over 40 games with him, and have had 0 DCs. Against the Doctor’s I’ve faced, I’ve seen 0 DCs. I do not believe people DC against him commonly. People are more likely, in my experience, to DC against Artist than Doctor.
I will say while I do not play perkless trapper often, I do play perkless Freddy and Perkless add-ons less huntress and have forever now. People do in fact DC for no reason at all, mostly on Freddy which is funny enough. I'm not a sweaty killer as I don't really care about the made up win conditions. Each person's experience in dbd is different. You for example might never see dcs depending on your level of playing, while others see them all the time. I have learned the higher you go in the imaginary mmr field the more likely the DCs occur.
-
I literally never play survivor just a heads up lol
-
For reference this year I didnt run perks on any killer and haven't been using add-ons for huntress (chaos shuffle and a very small amount of viewer builds aside)

I'm also a P100 nurse, glad to meet other people, and I was wondering at first if you were serious or joking.. looks like you were joking, ahah. The first fatigue is 2.8 or 3.2 seconds instead of 2 SECONDS, which is A LOT. During these 1.2 seconds, you can blink even though your head is down like it's stupid, but I just want the FOV fixed :(
Ah I see, you know what when I came back to her didn't touch her for about 6 months after p100 I thought I had just been rusty and that the fatigue had always been that long. Nice to know I wasn't crazy

Which killer were you running and what map my friend?

her bugs still nerf the nurse (doesn’t really bother me cuz I’ll still 4k) but I have motion sickness and it’s bad..
I was partly kidding I'm a p100 nurse main spent around 1k hours with her dating back to late 2022 I think. I do hate that the people with motion sickness can't really enjoy her. As she was my first love I would of everyone that wanted could experience her. As far the fatigue bug I don't really get it honestly maybe because I came a bit later to the game

This is why I never understood the "BHVR gimmie more BP!" people. Just make BP gain equal across all Survivors and the Killer, and then everyone gets this buff during events. Cancel blood hunts/feasts too because those ALSO just make people sweat.
The reason is, people want their points. They wanna maximize. So take the fun out of that by maxxing it FOR them, and fewer people will care, DC on hook. etc.
For max bp it's actually better for the killer to drag the game out, chase and hook each survivor 3 times, kick a bunch of gens, break a bunch of pallets/doors, and do the event things. Slugging and hard tunneling are the least efficient ways to gain bp. You literally get penalized the shorter the match as well as bleed outs and losing a hook state to the entity. All this sweating for bp is counter productive if your actually goal is the get bp. The problem is that isn't the case all they want are wins and that's it.
What's even more weird as that win conditions in this game are very subjective. You can loop all game and then get left on hook to die and it counts as a lose even though you cooked up the killer all match.

@bazarama said:
Unfortunately winning is everything to some people and equally unfortunately that often requires getting a player out as soon as possible hence tunnelling and slugging.
I only play killer and very casual often with music playing so I can't tell if a gen is regressing without going to look at it.
Do I win a lot of games this way? No.
Do I care? No.
Take 2 games last night.
First game 10 hooks as clown 2 survivors escaped.
Second game as ghostface on survivor picked RPD one killed themselve on first hook and second game up the minute I hit them by suddenly appearing in their face around a corner. 4k
Now I know which game was more fun and it wasn't the easy 4k.
Toxic players exist on both sides and that will never change.
So for me tunnelling etc are boring but as I said winning is everything, right?
I also solely play killer, I don't have the patience to slug and bleed someone out, and I will not tunnel someone out unless it's a super sweat lobby whom seems to want the min max game.
Im a huntress main so all I care about is hitting cool hatchets and really just vibing out. Some games I win and some I lose, some I'm chilling and get hit with the 3 bnps and gen goblins, and next im having snowball fights with Nancy and Lara in the streets of badham.
I have a lot of hours in this game and when I started out winning was everything, but a lot of it was because of egc the ggez would get to me and I would take it out on the next team and every t am after by sweating to the max (my first p100 was nurse so....). After a while I learned that the fun in this game is actually through the interactions and not necessarily the wins. I have way more fun getting nods on a good play and giving nods at a good play vs getting personally hurt when being out played.
I feel the content creators/viewers of this game have ruined it a bit with most content being salt extracting or bullying etc. most really good even matches aren't even glanced at, even the wholesome moments which seem to be more rare are completely left out.

The problem with Nurse is not that she is on top. The problem is that she is on top while not being the most difficult Killer to play. I think it is totally fine that some Killers are weaker than others, because some are also easier to play. E.g. Wraith is an example, even tho I think he is a bit too strong for how simple he is, he is clearly not a S- or A-Tier Killer, and this is totallly fine, since he is one of the most simple Killers to play.
But Nurse is without any doubt the strongest Killer and yet, without any doubt, NOT the hardest Killer to play. Not even close.
While this( nurse being easy to learn) might be true on paper it's not really that true in practice nurse being easy is very subjective as with most killers for that fact. For example my 2 hardest killers to play are billy and Larry 2 of which people take no time at all to learn. Just because some might learn her in 20 or so matches doesn't mean that she's that easy for everyone, if that was the case her pick rate would be through the roof as everyone would rock her when they simply wanted to win. As much as we all would love to see nurses every single match we just don't get that.
That being said nurse could be reworked as nerfing her would make her completely unplayable. Me and @Reinami have on multiple occasions talked of reworks and to a lesser extent nerfs. I have around 1k on nurse all but around 5 or so are perkless. Tbf I'm all for her being reworked into a more skillful killer (so these "skill" conversations can finally end once and for all) whose blinks or blink has to be more calculated truly high risk high reward, instead of what we have now which is high reward low risk due to the follow-up second blink.
Lastly I think that perkless Freddy is the hardest killer to play yep I said it, to the op you can't just bring nurse up when your favorite killer gets nerfed, sure they unfairly nerfed Chucky but that's not a nurse problem, frankly I miss double recharge/range nurse whose M1 weren't M2 ....I kid. I understand your sentiments but advocating for another killer to be nerfed to saved yours isn't gonna to amount to much, they would've just nerfed him later down the road.
Tbh if they are gonna nerf killers I think they need to take a more thorough approach, maybe consider a few of the people that have poured hundreds if not thousands of hours into them. There are plenty for each killer that are unbiased as they play both sides equally and want their respective killers to be both fair and rewarding to play.
-
I mean I never run perks and for some reason it's still viewed as try harding and toxic
-
@RaSavage42 said:
"Wins" don't matter as much it's more about how much did you use the Power VS. How much didn't you use the Power
Like Nurse VS. Freddie... you'll learn more based on how much you used their Power VS. not using their Power
Or not using the Killers Power at all in a 4K but getting a 0K while using their Power
There is a difference
This right here. Im a nurse (1k hours), Freddy(400 hours) and huntress(2k hours) main I also only play perkless not to flex but to make sure all I can rely on is the killers power and my skill.
Freddy for me is my M1 back to the basics killer he forces you to learn mind games and run loops to a perfection to win consistently. Once you master a weak M1 killer (I would chose ghost face, Freddy, or base kit Myers) you'll be able to consistently win with most M1 regardless of power. Id say 15-30 matches to have a solid foundation on most M1 affairs.
Nurse is a bit of a misleading killer, as starting out she's as easier and youll win most after the initial couple of loses, but as you rack up wins you get better and better survivors it'll take about 30-50 wins to hit a decent mmr with her where your wins will start to thin out but then you'll hit a point after that where you'll go back to winning unless you make too many mistakes or the survivors are just better. How you perform with her power will vary some pick her up easy and it's quick while others never really get her power down fully. With nurse it isn't about the wins as much as it's about acquiring the muscle memory for her blinks once you learn that you'll having everything you need. I would advise against plaid flannel though just a personal hatred really.
Huntress is a killer that wins literally do not matter at all with her. Your goal with her is to hit as many hatchets in a match as possible and the better you get with that the more wins you get by default. Never stop throwing hatchets try to M1 as little as possible. Huntress may be an intermediate killer but her skill ceiling is almost limitless, with all the trick shots you can learn for each map on top of mastering orbtials, as double taps and even triple taps she's a beast. I would say anywhere from 30-40 matches would get you there.
As for the rest of the roster I feel like personally learning billy and his collisions will help with blight a bit, learning trapper will help with hag, learning huntress will help with slinger as far as center of screen goes slinger has a significantly smaller hitbox though. Learning demo shreds will help with wesky. Learning nemmy will help with xeno. Plague is in her own league just use your learned M1 skills and puke on everything, strategize your corruption. Pin head skully and unknown Chucky I'm sorry I have no help. Drac, hound master, pyramid head, spirit, and dredge all have unique abilities that you'll have to spend a bit of time with. Id say around 25 with upwards of 50 for some of these killers would suffice if your just wanting to be proficient.
I'm sure I've missed plenty of killers haven't had my coffee yet but this is all I got lol.
-
Yeah I'm all for using strats to achieve a win for both sides but this meta we're heading towards of slugging and bleeding out isnt it. I seen some content creators be the "Villain" running these builds and it's just gonna force unnecessary nerfs to killers who don't play like that and buffs to survivors which the very killers using this new meta are gonna complain about. Shoulder the burden isn't that strong to warrant this level of slugging.
-
@Xernoton said:
30 seconds match that ends in a 4k. Yet the server doesn't notice anything wrong. Even just picking up and hooking 4 survivors is barely possible in that time.
Why do we not have an auto-ban or flag system for these things? There is literally no way that this would be possible. Even if all the survivors and the killer had spawned in the basement and they tried to end the match as fast as possible it would take longer than this. Even with 4 No Mithers and STBFL it wouldn't work!
It seems cheating isn't on the roadmap so..… but you will be receiving new skins to buy as compensation for all your unfair cheating matches. All jokes aside it really its ridiculous how these people aren't insta banned, or even banned after the fact knowing that no match can end that fast.
-
Nurse is at the tip top as far as potential goes that's not even an argument, but in practice not everyone can tap into to that potential this is not an excuse. I think if they took away the lunge extend addon, made her 4.4 with one blink, and unable to blink between floors, and through walls she'd be fine.
I mean honestly from my 1000 hours of nurse I learned one thing for sure, most survivors refuse to learn her kit and how to effectively loop her, they still camp pallets, still wait at check spots, path the exact same way even though she's downed them however many times etc. the most cracked survivors that I managed to run across all either mained her at one point or labbed to be able to know how to loop her confidently.
While she does need nerfs, she isn't entirely uncounterableb as many seem to think. Yes anyone with over 1k hours on nurse alone will cook most teams, the same is true for all s-b tier killers as far as win rate goes.

I find new Ruin to be a pretty effective perk with Nurse's mobility, and I pretty much always have BBQ + Shadowborn equipped. The fourth slot changes around sometimes between Infectious Fright, Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, and a couple others. Lately, though, I've been liking Whispers as my fourth perk.
Cosmetic-wise, I mainly run full legacy, but sometimes I change it up with bloody prestige or the black wedding outfit.
So jealous of the legacy bro but congrats, your like a unicorn for real.

I don't know I don't want to sound like a 50 year old dad who's pulling a how do you do fellow kids move. But a lot has changed in dbd that I'm not used too. So me saying gg is just because a lot of other people have done it even if I had a garbage game and decide to pull the plug on it they say gg or gg wp. I don't know maybe I have to just not say it anymore. For the love of anything I faced a Chucky a while back who slugged people on the ground the entire match I mean gens weren't flying they just wanted to slug I guess. I said GG because I was wanting to show good sportsmanship and boom got banned from their twitch chat. I don't know maybe saying gg just shouldn't be a thing for me anymore knowing some people will think I'm saying "get good".
Yeah I feel that I've been there, I literally gave someone a shout out in my live stream because they actually looped so well. Went to the stream to support them and tell them ggs and immediately banned. It's kind of crazy. I was born late 80's so this mindset of being mentally hurt by losing/winning in a video game is weird to me. After losing to Mike Tyson in punch out about million times it kind of humbles when it comes to games lol. Even if people arent being good sports and type gg I still perceive it as a ggs you know.

His addon that lets you see gens by total repair state is pretty solid, but I don't think Wraith is op. He's like a little brother to Nurse :)
I guess one of the bigger challenges with Wraith is the way I have to strain my eyes, not blinking to see him coming :(
He's no kin to queen nurse, he's more like the loser she fell in love with because of his inadequacies. I mean spirit would be more of a sister with blight being a long lost step brother but wraith ain't in that power family my guy lol

Copped this burn playing today, I guess because my Steam profile has "member since November 17, 2004" (20 years in a few days woohoo!).
So, how old is too old?
Bro don't let them shame you. Ive cooked someone and they proceeded to talk about my age, kids, and all kinds of stuff. Literally called me poverish because they heard my daughter. (3yo She literally sits in my lap while I stream 90% of time she just likes it lol.) Told me I was a bad parent etc. What's crazy is I get it all the time. I'm 35 work six days a week and grew up in the Golden age of gaming well at least for me. It's more ingrained into who I am so I'll be playing until I physically can't anymore. Having helps relieve stress and keeps my mind sharp.
-
I mean so as a killer main literally 97% percent of the time, when I get steam rolled and they send a ggs I usually respond back ggs wp unless they were just unbearable you know. I can admit when I get outplayed or when I make too many mistakes. My issue is the sore winners, that come in and start talking trash. A simple ggs from a team that just cooked me isnt a trigger for me, they probably just came off a terrible game and played my match really well so it was in fact a good game. I have very few games where the win con was completely out of my reach.
-
Yep I'm a killer main and 3 of my mods are survivor mains that I faced in matches. I've met most of my really good friends through playing dbd.
-
Huntress
-Learn hitboxes! I can't stress this enough hitboxes are the key to hitting hatchets consistently on really good survivors. They are shaped like a pill and actually go above the actual survivors head, so you can hit over haybales, rocks, mediumish tiles like the dumpster on autohaven maps. They also linger behind just a tad bit which is why you can hit that survivor that just went around that jungle gym corner. They also change when a survivor is healing it's a bit lower so always aim for the waist never the upper body.
-Greed pallets the first few times on each survivor, it'll get you more free hits than you think
-learn which tiles are a time waste to loop because you can't use a hatchet or easily mind game survivors, I'm looking at you autohaven maps most tiles are tall enough you can't hatchet over but the can see you from check spots and if you raise a hatchet they can see the hatchet.
-Patience is life! Lastly be patient with you hatchets hold that thing for a bit and let the survivor line the shot up for you. The lack of patience I feel is the easiest way to miss hatchets especially up close.
You're gonna miss hatchets, you're gonna hit hatchets and that don't register due to hit validation, your gonna have hatchets that completely go through people. Just remember keep throwing them bad boys!

This I found that most matches that weren't close at all were from survivors not touching gens. When they did touch gens efficiently it was crazy.

I never said she’s not in a decent spot but some Qol would be nice. I am P100 as well with 4,000 hours and I’m sure you know it is frustrating being a 110% killer that is forced to M1 on certain loops. Shiny Pin has one of the highest pick rates for a reason. Not to mention terrible maps and object collision.
Now I'm for sure with you on fixing collision. Like every single leaf blade of both goj variants have collision but entire trees on some maps have nothing not to mention all the invisible walls. I like shiny as an addon TBH and not base kit. I don't think they need to make her easier but that's just me. While I do hate the long loops which I can't mind and have to M1 it doesn't bother me as much. I mean most of our downs come from the unexpected and not necessarily the chase. She did get some love not to long ago and I'm grateful for it. Making shiny base kit would literally be giving her a very very good addon base kit with no downside what so ever and effectively freeing up an addon slot to make her even more deadly. Don't get me wrong I would love it but I also know this player base and I would rather not see her reworked a hundred times and wind up in the garbage. Ive learned to live with the little things as things can be much worse looking at you Freddy, skully soon to be Myers Chucky and Drac.

I think it's a problem if people are playing games with other people and they don't care how the people they're playing with feel. I struggle to imagine how people would want to play the game with people who tunnel and camp regularly. Same with any kind of taunting or bully squad tactics (to ensure a fair set of views).
I mean, if I had four people over to my house and we all played this game in the same room for fun, I'd expect them to not want to play the game anymore if I just kept tunneling out the weakest link. That would probably lead to me running against a 3v1 most of the time, and getting easy wins, ensuring that the game isn't fun for four out of five people playing. They'd probably see me as a bully and want to do something else so everyone could enjoy something.
It's possible to play competitively and simultaneously make sure everyone involved has fun while it happens. I personally don't think it's alright to be mean to people in online games just because it's possible to do. And tunneling is almost never fun for the person being tunneled, and is a cheap tactic to tilt the game in the killer's favor.
First I'm talking about playing other players who are also playing to win not having a lan party.
Tunneling is such a trigger word now, like I've been called a tunneler for everything so much so that the word holds zero meaning to me. Fun is so subjective as well, I don't expect survivors/killers to take it easy on me in a PVP game where there a clear winners and losers.
I treat pvp games the same as I would real sports as I just a have competitive nature. If you want to take it easy on me then I don't want to play against you. I'm playing to continually get better so I enjoy those bully squads and swfs that are extremely challenging to face.
Playing to win the most efficient way on either side isnt being mean. I'm not talking about slugging the entire team and bleeding them out, or any BM. I'm talking about each side playing optimally. I frequently get tunneled playing survivor but I don't care it's looping practice for me and then on to the next. I solely play to get better and that's all that matters. I know I suck as survivor and 9/10 out I'll get tunneled due to that fact but I also know that the better I've gotten the less and less I get tunneled even if it's by a small margin. Once again thats the competitive spirit in me though, I love a challenge.
Last you literally can never make everyone happy no matter what ever. I never run perks and still get split egc messages. Some say they had a blast while others say it was miserable and I sucked. Funnily enough it's never really the indirect tunneled( I never directly tunnel unless they flashy click, point, or do things that seem they want to be chased) that complains it's mostly the sore winner.

Sorry my brother in the fog but she's actually in a decent spot. She's insanely good if you reach the top part of her skill ceiling, and meh if you stay around the middle. Her kill rate is tanked simply because people see she's easy or get starstruck by the idea of hitting orbtials and really cool shots and then realize the amount of work it takes to actually get that good. It isn't because she isn't good. She is in fact the absolute best ranged and zoning killer at the top of her skill ceiling.
I say this as a P100 huntress with around 1200 hours and didn't run a single perk aside from iron maiden as well as never using aura on my way to p100, and now I don't even use perks at all and still haven't touched aura reading either.

Ok so I guess I have to be that guy.
Everything I do depends on the goal I'm trying to achieve. Winning in this game is based on kills and kills alone so killers are gonna guess what!? Kill! There's zero reason or incentive to spread hooks.
That being said any pvp game is going to be competitive to competitive people. I mean do you care about the other players fun in fortnite, cod, street fighter, Forza, GTA V etc? Why should dbd be an exception?
It's well known that the most manageable way to play killer against really good survivors is to make it a 3 v1 as quick as possible because once again the win condition for killers is based of kills tunneling is the absolute most effective strategy and I do mean strategy. Camping( not face camping) is also a valid strategy for example if I down Dwight near a 75% gen and hook him fairly close, I know that someone else was with him as this was my first chase and he couldn't have had time to add that much, I search the area and find Claude I down her quickly and hook her in the same general area. I have zero reason to go anywhere else the ideal play is force the other two to save and intercept. If they don't and stay on gens then the hooked hit second stage. Camping in this scenario is a viable and the only logical option if you're going for a win. Now slugging(not bleeding out for 4 mins) has its uses as well, if I'm behind in a match I can slug to build pressure and leverage time back to my side.
The problem with dbd is you have 2 main sides people that want to have fun and aren't competitive and people that hate losing and will win be any means necessary because they are in fact competitive. Neither is wrong in they're goal, but one side does suffer way more as they no competitive side will lack the optimisation to win I their side simply because they don't care for winning. When I play if in doing a streak I'll play the most efficient way possible, I won't necessarily hard tunnel or slug but I will punish all misplays no matter what.
In the end this is a game of capitalizing on the other sides mistakes, for survivors it's all about wasting as much time as possible for your team while they do gens cleanse hex perks etc, it's inevitable that eventually the killer will in fact down you but it's the wasted time that's important the longer you waste the killers time the better. Solo q feels miserable because not everyone knows this and by judging from my games it seems like 70 percent simply don't understand how to win which tbf it's not like it's taught in a straight forward manner unlike killer which is infact straight forward chase, down, then hook. Survivors have to macro and micro manage, they have to know how long it takes to hit second stage before going for a save to optimize gen efficiency, when to take chase for another survivor, where to safely heal( not under hook and the healthy rescuer goes to hide If the killer returns), how to loop effectively and when to use resources. The bad part is that this survivor knowledge is taught at all.

Killers have 8 perks, their two add ons and their power which can totally negate those so called 16 perks easily.
But yeah ofc is completely fine to totally negate one of the few defenses of survivor yet its not ok when survivors use something to stop being seeing 24/7 cool.
Please show me 16 perks on a match and I mean 4 different perks from each survivor cause which means if 2 people are using woo that does not count as part of the 16. Cause I lol everytime someone tries this fictional 16 perks.
You forgot about the greatest 5th perk of all that no one ever brings up.... Superior looping, it negates tunneling and not so much slugging and camping though cause after 3 gens pop they're def face camping you lol.

The difference is that there is plenty of evidence that killer is baby mode easy, almost every killer that streams wins on a very consistent basis with the try hards practically undefeated, notably the Blight mains that can't lose, in a game with MMR. My claim is proven. You simply are ignoring it because you don't want to accept it. Claiming survivor is easy or too strong is nothing more than a fabrication of lies. If it was so easy, where are the survivors that are undefeated? We have a game designed where survivor skill has no impact on the outcome if the killer knows how to play. The best course of action is to accept the game is flawed and push for BHVR to balance the game so it is fair.
So what is your idea of fair? I'm really interested in it.
You say killer is baby mode easy but use outliers using one of the most broken killers with meta builds in pubs to prove your point. Also I hate to break it to you but mmr is an absolute joke in this game you never ever get teams that are equal in skill across the board ever. If mmr actually did work these "streaks" wouldn't exist. The only plus to playing killer over survivor is that you can depend on yourself, where as survivor you can loop the killer for 4 gens and be left on hook because your teammates are crap. Both sides have their respective skill ceilings and both sides have their easy mode depending on who wants to sweat the most and who the RNG favors.

It felt unfair to Huntress and Death slinger not having 4.6 - idk.
I'm p100 huntress 4.6 normally would be insanely oppressive with no drawbacks at all. All safe loops for survivors ( tall walls, long ish loops become terribly unsafe

Cool. Ask the devs to prevent that from happening instead of positioning yourself against a good update for 90% of the community from releasing just because you got bullied once by a (snicker)… No Mither squad.
Lmao not bullied( I run Perkless every match for the shiggles) my guy just giving insight how it could be used among the survivors to make the killers life hell (a singular time is hilarious as well I have plenty of these squads that just happened to be the most recent). I invite bully squads if we're being honest it's more engaging than the gen jockies. 90 percent of the survivor community needs base kit unbreakable to be viable that's very Interesting. You did get something right though no mither is your answer don't want to be slugged run it, otherwise don't whine about being slugged. Even better how about not getting bullied by the killer and not losing chase twice to be slugged in the first place (see how idiotic this sounds). Thing is anything base kit like infinite unbreakable, DH 8 second ds will be weaponized more so than not. Just like this base kit mori which actually promotes slugging for a 4k.

Funny you say this, I played a match on haddonfield where two survivors had no mither, soul guard, breakdown, and something else let me tell you there are ways to not be a slug. Just so you know no mither procs soul guards endurance every single time. The third survivor would run head on and flashbang and also carry a bnp, they would all congregate in the basement across the street for Mikey's and proceed to bs. All while the fourth rushed gens with yet another bnp and gen build. Needless to say unlimited unbreakable (no mither I this case) was not fun at all and never will be.

Pro tip: The matchmaking completely falls apart when there is any kind of big disparity between the amount of killers and survivors queueing. But the real pro tip?
The time of day you play determines how hard your games are as well as how much BM are in them. At least for killer, here's how it goes:
If you play in the morning, around 7 AM to 12 PM, the games are pretty solid. Decent survivors, but not overly difficult, and overall matches are pretty balanced. From 12 PM to about 6 PM, the games are extremely easy. For some reason, super casuals that are having a day off play during these times. Between 6 PM to 12 AM, the games are slightly harder, but overall fine. Probably the most "balanced" time to play.
But if you play after 12 AM, aka at midnight… The games are hell. Absolute hell. BM. The worst post game chats you've ever seen. People showing up to your house after, trying to break in because they hacked the server to find your IP and tracked you down in real life after you killed them. Threats on your family, with them sending real pictures and addresses, as well as purchased travel tickets to find you.
Unless you're ready to experience hell on earth, don't ever play after 12 AM if you value your sanity, safety, and autonomy. Because they will find you. They will catch you. And they will destroy you. Both in game, and out of game.
This made me laugh because of how accurate it is! I started playing this game for the first year or year and a half only being able to play really late like 11pm - 3am. So I kinda started in the trenches most of my matches I didn't get a single kill while getting all the BM and ggez and a load of other things. It wasn't until last year I was able to play during the day light hours and oh boy was I surprised literally night and day lol.
Now to answer op question so I have a p100 huntress (my main) and p100 (retired nurse). I've found that huntress provides my hardest matches, while nurse it takes around five or six wins in a row to get to my huntress matches.
When I play Drac or Freddy (p6 and p13) my matches never dip below those nurse level matches. So I would assume that mmr decays to a particular cap when you don't use them often but never drops below that. So your survivors will typically be near the middle of your skill level at the lowest unless matchmaking is crazy off (I've had matches with people less than 100 hours and that's even with playing my main).

I don't think it's a good idea to ever not penalize dc's considering the amount of people that DC on first down or for all sorts of things even with the penalty is crazy. I feel like the amount of games that are held hostage are far too less to warrant no DC penalty. Now they could make the sever end after 30 minutes and give everyone how ever many blood points they've earned since all windconditions are subjective outside of everyone escaping and everyone being killed.
