I know lot about jit deddication like bubba hitting survivor with saw when getting stun, you get hit sound and blood on your creen but nothing happens, I get it its when you get stun ok sucks but like direct hit with hatchet just disapearing into survivor thats different level.
Yep I literally have a short of it happening 7 times in one match. All direct hits not even threading the needle or trick shots
-
I also think that people being able to show their KR stats is also contributing to it. Some creators like to put a lot of emphasis on those KR as if they show good you are. I think average hooks at different gens stages would be a better stats or win percentages. Either way this and the DC penalty which is absolutely absurd are my picks.
-
My friend I'd like to welcome you to the world of hit dedication. It happens a lot more than it did pre ghoul I'm talking at least 2-3 times a game for me. My worst match had 7.
-
So nurse was my first main. I still dabble with her from time to time. I have never used perks or aura in my 1k+ hours with her. In her current state she is far less powerful than she was with double range or double recharge, or any of her previous iterations.
That being said, making matchbox basekit would be a start, reducing turn rate during blinks, making some aura perks not work, making her not being able to blink through walls (this would probably just make her a dash killer of some sort), making her have to charge her ability similar to Oni by collecting breaths, etc. Just nerfing aura isnt it, a good nurse player doesn't need any aura what so ever to dominate.
Honestly taking away a blink (4.4 ofc) and the lunge add-on might be the best start, it would require more skill and better preparation for setting up hits without making her feel straight up bad to play. For those saying she doesn't need nerfs, due to skill ceiling blah blah, nurse skill ceiling is crazy finite and gets boring after a while (which is why I switched to maining huntress) and not terribly hard to reach especially if you already have good game sense and map knowledge. It takes about 30-50 matches to really get her blinks down without any custom practice.

Bruh Fred is always stuck on some rock, bush, blade of grass or in a corner 😭. Martha consistently stays eating though lol

but huntress is easier to hit she has more of the axes instead of waiting and can hit map wide.
This right here exactly! I keep seeing he's a better huntress and if your meh with huntress then sure but a dang good sniping huntress he's not. She can have map wide pressure at more times than she can't. The only true one up he has on her is movement which depending on the map doesn't matter.
Don't get me wrong his anti loop potential will be nice but I see his axe being used more for speed than actual Snipes and the doors are awesome due to the insta down potential. He'll definitely be a super fun killer and I'll probably main him.
We'll have to wait and see if how survivors will adapt to him over time though. Let's take a moment to be happy that he's in a really good place right now overall not too op(kaneki) and not too weak(ghostface) which is rare in these releases.

You're saying 1v4 Nurse without perks or addons, feel better to play than all the above stuff that 2v8 Nurse gets? For reals? I just can't with this conversation.
I literally stated for me my guy, I'm well aware of her "buffs" in 2v8 as well as how strong she is in general I've spent a tiny bit of time with her. There's a reason that on paper she sounds outstanding but you rarely see them in 2v8. How you feel about playing nurse is your opinion and it's valid. I just simply disagreed with you based on my time playing her.
-
While they are working as intended ( that wasn't the question at all), I think they are actually there to show you where an event took place. If you remove the bubble then all you would get would be getting is a directional sound. As it stands the bubble is more beneficial for the negative aspects of killer at least. If you're thinking that it is there to prevent camping or even proxy camping it isn't unfortunately.

A major part of the issue is that many of the killers are way more fun to play as in 2v8, regardless of whether or not there is a teammate. BHVR should just remove all the 2v8 killer buffs, and see what happens to the queue times. (Maybe the underperforming killers can keep the 2v8 buffs since they need the extra help).
I gotta disagree with you on the nurse statement. Just me personally though. Nurse in 2v8 requires really good blinks and a far less mistakes than in 1v4 for me at least. I can play nurse in 1v4 without perks or add-ons and just vibe out where as 2v8 I gotta lock in every match.

Yeah let me guess, with Legion so you have endless free injures making every hatchet an Iri Head?
That also seems to be the go to combo if it isn't the outright broken duo of Legion and Oni ruining nearly every match.
At least you're not exploiting with that skin, as many clearly are doing.
No to be honest my most liked team mate is nemmy followed by wesker and Oni
As far as the skin I have but never touch it due to the bug it had when it first dropped I know they fixed it but it kinda ruined the whole vibe for me
-
Hey I'm a baba yaga atm, if you run into me I'm probably letting my team mate down trying to snipe all the fish in the barrel lol
-
As huntress I love rpd, swamp, the game, lerys and to a lesser extent Hawkins all these maps have crazy places to hit trick hatchets. I hate absolutely hate toba too much unnecessary filler and everything crazy collision boxes, and nostromo idk what it is about it but I hate it lol
-
Guys just want to drop in and say first thanks for all the awesome responses my intention was to see if there was a general consensus to tunneling with as many people that play both sides as possible (not exactly equally though). Secondly I've seen some down votes not that they do anything but I'd like to keep this post positive for the most part. These answers are each person's own perception of tunneling meaning no answer is wrong. If you disagree agree with an opinion leave it at that, you can disagree without having it be known you disagree.

It's the best term I could think of to describe what I did.
Get someone Dead on Hook ASAP, maybe two people, then play normally. If I feel that the game could go against me, kill someone off and win. If I feel in control, play it out normally.
Eventually though, I just couldn't be bothered, I just ended up feeling bad because most of the people I played against had a ######### time and should NOT have been matched with me.
I feel that, I tend to play around at first and try and get serious later sometimes it works others it doesn't either way as long as I get some sick snipes I could careless
-
@Pulsar said:
Targeting one player with the intent of eliminating them from the game as fast as possible.
You can also soft-tunnel, which is what I did a lot.
I like the term "soft" tunnel lol.
-
Awesome answers so far! I was truly interested in each individual person perspective of tunneling for the simple reason it varies so drastically.
-
Since the killer main pool is low here I'll insert my 2 unneeded cents. To preface I'm a 95% killer main (I don't use perks either) I only hit recently 5% survivor due to having a streaming challenge to play perkless survivor all month.
That out the way, I'm not discounting my fellow brethrens complaints because we all share different perceptions and all possess different skill levels. To discount how one feels isnt constructive at all, we aren't watching his games he may very well go up against 4 man swf tatorhead looping gods we'll never know.
I can tell you from my personal experience across the span of 3.5k in almost 3 years that saying you must tunnel and camp incessantly to win is crap. I run no perks on any killer and do just fine, sometimes I get robbed due to janky bugs and sometimes it's because of my own misplays but for the most part. I don't need slow down or any perks for that matter. I main huntress but play most killers all perkless and still win or draw most, maybe 1k a few and almost never get 4k'd out unless I'm doing something stupid like 1v1 the best looper at shack. You don't need anything outside of really good game sense and good decision making to win most of your games. Now in matches were you're chilling and the survivors are sweating on comms then yeah your gonna lose probably but that's because they wanted it more or were simply better. ( seems no one here ever wants to admit that people can be better than them).
Tunneling and camping don't bother me at all but anything that makes a large amount of the community have a melt down over is a crutch wether you want to admit it or not. Too many of us have crutched on camping and hard tunneling to win that the threat of taking them away is a personal attack, when you should just be adjusting to it, they aren't taking out strategic tunneling or camping just blatant unskillful tunneling and camping, yes tunneling a single survivor at 5 gens directly off hook isn't skillful in anyway. This isn't some survivor paradise guys we are still the power role just get anyway from cheap mechanics and start winning with skillful plays and you'll start to laugh at the rest.
-
Bro it was a joke, surely you guys aren't taking that serious. Jokes do exist I know they're real rare in this community but not everyone is seeking the demise and dehumanization of others. I thought the "....." Would imply that I was joking. I own multiple consoles and there are plenty of games that I would rather play on console vs PC. I'm also not a child and can apologize for any misunderstanding.

Please note this is NOT 3D audio which is awful for dbd. This is the new audio focus. I could type an essay but I want to go play it with Survivor now.
Enjoy 😉

Also be sure your in-game dbd settings are set to Headphones ON

problem with playing Nurse in pubs is that you will rarely bump to a team that actually has macro experience to play against her, meaning your skill with her basically stagnates unless you start going for scrims and tournaments.
It's really sad when you see thst huge part of pub playerbase has no idea what macro game knowledge is and thus how to play against such a killer that is countered in macro sphere as Nurse.
This is very true I spent all my 1k hours solely playing her in pubs and I found very few teams that could hang. I think maybe 3 or 4 maybe. I got to the point where if there was a survivor that knew how to loop her I'd just spend the whole match pretty much just 1v1 them and killing their team mates if they interfered.

I gotta say folks, The Nurse really lives up to her reputation. Ive been playing D tier killers for most of my 1200 hours but the last 200 hours i dedicated to Nurse and what i find most amusing is that it doesnt matter who you are , how many hours you have played and how good you are at looping. If i get a hit on you , and i will, You are going downtown in the next blink.
However while my timing and sense of human behaviour might not be what ya folks are used to , ive faced many bad Nurses but god damn, If you are a man of precision and timing as myself, I dont like to gloat too much but well well, You are up for a rude awakening. SWF and Noobs Are all the same.
Also i love choking in general, ask my wife/girlfriends.As a former main she gets quite boring after about 1000 hours with her though her skill ceiling caps out and then there's nothing new to learn or do just the same slaughter over and over again enjoy these wee early hours my friend

@UknownShredder said:
Okay but lets move on from you guys saying the same thing.
New question. If someone has prestige their character to P100 playing them only. Would you say you are likely to go up against a strong opponent ?This is a very interesting question. So for me I solely played nurse until I p100 her no one else and then did the same with huntress. When I play nurse now my first 2-3 matches will be bad survivors or meh survivors after that the matches pick up a bit. When I play huntress whose been my main for the last year or so it's completely random some days I load up and out the gate get good survivors and some times I get bad ones there's no rhyme or reason outside of just bad match making I guess. I will say after my recent streak I played 20 games only 1 team was able to out me and that's with me just playing bad while perkless and RNG. I'll do some more testing this weekend and report back though.

Oh I don't use perks or add-ons I've never used aura, aside from my community request every once in a blue moon, but your build is definitely solid for sure.
As far as shiny pin, it was basekit in 2v8 and didn't make bad huntresses good or good huntresses even better tbf, at long loops your still gonna get cooked and at short loops you would've gotten the hit anyway. It nice because in very niche scenarios it makes some loops counterable without having to drop hatchet and bloodlust due to the dread 110%.

I should’ve specified but I am Top 1% Huntress mains world wide and top .05% in 24 meter hatchet downs. Asking for tips was me being jaded. Because I know I can’t just get better on indoor maps and loops where I can’t use my power.
I do appreciate you actually trying to help tho lol.
Ooo what number are you in 24+ meter downs I'm sitting at like 150ish trying to get to the top 100
-
while ping may have an impact on huntress' hatchets it's actually more of a lingering hitbox problem especially around corners. I have recorded games where I have had high ping no fault if my own. (Good Internet here 1100Mb/s or like 80-95 MB/sec.) When my ping is high the game is almost unplayable as it should be, the lag is insane. Now the hitboxes those are an issue, don't need to see any part of the survivor to hit them off you know precisely where they are at some check spots, behind rocks, or cover. I can't speak for other killers but I definitely can for huntress.
Now regarding the ping issue I definitely think something should be done as well. If you have crappy ping you should be punished proof no matter what side your on.
The servers suck period and that's the main problem this isn't a survivorsy vs killers problem at all.
-
Killer main here in loving the game but I also don't have to go through solo q hell
-
I love egc a lot of times it's the most interactive terrifying part of the match. You never know how it's gonna play out and it's always high energy. If they're teabagging then get the bloodpoints by hitting them out of the exit gates. I mean sometimes it's a little much especially when's it's undeserved, but those aren't the norm me. I'm a sole killer main not that it matters.

since 2022 you’ve basically played 166.66 days straight.
Holy hell when you put it like that.... Lol na that's steams estimate I highly doubt that many in actual game hours, the first year or so I played no stop everyday but that's because I had torn my right Achilles and was house bound forever. Shortly after the Freddy PTB I have noticed, that Huntress Hatchets do no longer collide with survivors on the hook.
They pass right through them.
As a Huntress main I welcome the stealth buff but I am not sure if this is intentional, and if so, why?
This makes every unhook unsafe because no matter the angle from which the survivor unhooks, I can get them by just aiming at the hooked survivor and I will get a guaranteed hit every single time.
I've noticed that hatchets in 2v8 once the unhooker start bit the unhook animation don't have collision, they pass straight through the unhooker and the hooked without either taking damage. So they might be implementing that but in 1v4 it's kind of bugged out

Worse. I throw orbitals and crossmaps.
This right here! As a cross map huntress not so much an orbital huntress this will make any unhook crazy easy as long as it's not an indoor map. Hatchets hitting the survivor made unhooking against fair because you could position yourself correctly and the hook or the hooked would eat the hatchet. Hopefully it's a bug the last thing she needs is to be easier at hook camping. In the right hands shes dang near unstoppable already when you actually want to play to win from start to finish by any means.
-
I'm having a dang blast! I know most of the vets ( I'm no vet but I do have almost 4k hours started back in the fall of 2022) aren't very fond of it at the moment, but I'm excited to see what's in-store with these fixes and the quality health updates ( I know crazy take as a killer main). You keep deflecting. Idc that SWF was added when the structure wasn't set up for it, that's not at all even remotely close to what I've posted about. SWF should be balanced, not balancing the rest of the game around SWF when the majority of Survs are SoloQ and the majority of Killers don't even want to play against a SWF because of how unbalanced it is.
Don't even talk about forced nerfs, the entire Survivor gameplay experience has been gutted to allow for Killers to compete with SWF. Just more selfish misinformation from the same people.
What misinformation did I state? I don't need to deflect, the real issue is lord forbid 4 comptent survivors end up together and you have to face split pressure where tunneling and camping fall apart when not used as an actual strat instead of a Braindead tech. The balance you're crying for doesn't exist in this game bro sorry to break it to you. When survivors are lost is when killer is at its most powerful when Cooperating together and competent the killers power creep slows significantly and requires actual skill and mental thought. If you want to balance solo q up to swf levels then advocate for that but to lower swf to solo q standards is just moronic. Peak survivor gameplay and skill expression happens when survivors work together, why would you want less competitive matches? Lastly did you ever think that they aren't balancing the game for the weaker players.
