I don't play Nurse, because I can't stand playing her. All those fatigues and looking down and being stunned makes me sick IRL. So I don't practice her and for that reason suck with he.
-
So you just want to complain about pallets working as originally intended?
-
You already answered yourself:
"I loop them for a good portion of the gens, and then once they get ahold of me,"
You looped him for so long (which is basically exploiting) that he got mad and at least want to kill that guy, that delayed him.
What else should he do? Let you escape and chase you again for an eternity and wave good bye when you run out the open gate?
Like @tt_ivi_99 said: "Camping is just a strategy,". You do not like that strategy, but guess what? The killer didn't like your "strategy" (looping) either.
And @Acromio is also right: "Pallet looping is definitely an exploit, as it shares several features with other exploits." The Devs basically sanctioned that exploit, because they do not know what they should do about it. They admitted once that their game is a Spagetti code and they can not "just change the size of the hitboxes" without creating tons of new issues.
If you don't want to get camped try @Masters advice: "Your goal is to LOSE the killer, not to loop and annoy him."
The skill in a chase is to lose the killer, not wasting his time. Survivor live with the delusion of grandeur that extending the chase is "skill".
-
I expect the whole DS rework to end up as a buff.
No counterplay to it and all other obsession perks get trashed.
-
-
"Firstly, Pallets are getting a buff in the next patch, number of pallets is going to be increased."
Seriously? Any source?
-
Hillbilly is best balanced.
-
Oh one of the few add ons that make a really weak killer good… let's nerf that, right?
-
"Flashlight is the counter to Hag though. It's not exactly a counter to Wraith,"
Erm… where do you get your "wisdom" from, buddy?
This is totally wrong. Flashlights had been the original counter to Wraith, but at some point the Devs noticed that it was way to easy and to strong and BALANCED it.
That's what needs to happen to the Hags traps now.
-
Why is it allowed to create a trollaccount to open one baitthread after another?
-
All shadownerfs or bugs that become features.
Like the beartraps reduced effective size.
Like any "temporary solutions" they just left in the game, killer reduced FoV for example.
-
Funny, huh?
For over 2 years survivor dominated the forum and trashed down any killer saying something, but that was perfectly fine, huh?
Than the killer learned from it, because the survivor punched through nerf after nerf and now survivor complain, because they can't "win" any debate, because they have no real arguments.
-
-
Btw... double window loops in buildings have sneaked back into the game again.
-
"With all the nerf to the number of pallet in each map, this combo is sick. Nerf the first or the second perk"
Beside the fact that the killer picked TWO perks -half his perk selection- got get an edge every 3rd pallet… please tell me again what "nerf to the number of pallets" you are talking about?
It is really annoying that survivor mains keep this urban legend up.
The pallet distribution change removed like 1 or 2 pallets from the most pallet filled maps, but gave more pallets to other maps and by now all those "rules" about "no more double pallets" or "no pallets near loops" are already soften up and we see those crap ingame again.
Don't forget to mention that those "pallet nerf" you are talking about, was the reason that bloodlust was nerfed.
-
"The constructed genorator aura is hidden from the killer,
…
Open to suggestions."
No, never. How should a killer "pressure the map" and "protect the gens" that he can't see? Playing killer is already stressful enough without the need to knwo every map and remember the place of that special gen.
-
They already destroyed Freddy, because of the "high DC rate against him" and nerfed an already weak killer.
And now survivor mains go on after they realized that they can force reactions that way.
Any killer deemed "unfun" by the survivor (because he is strong or need them to adapt) they DC. Nurse, Hag, Freddy, Legion, Doc.
-
We won't get Ghostface, because we already have "Ghostface".
It's called "Legion".
-
- Trading a hit for a stun on a pallet is completely intended. Throw the pallet earlier. (Maybe it's also lag)
- Windows are openings in a wall that you can reach through, so hitting someone on the side is completely legit and "a few feet" are not that much, considering a tall guy with a machete is reaching for you (or it is lag!)
- Iron Grasp already got nerfed very hard. It is the perk that lost the most efficiency in ONE nerf. It lost 66% effectiveness and is hardly useful anymore. There is no more room for any further nerfs to IG.
- If you get downed the usual result is meant to be getting hooked. Getting off the killers shoulder without any intervention from other survivor or using a perk like DS should be very rare by design of the game. Your not supposed to get of the killers shoulder on a regular basis.
-
Yea… because 84% of all survivor player are just dumb to use SC, right? :P
-
My experience is completely the opposite way round.
Especially that there seem to be way more true survivor mains that never touch killer as the other way round. Even true killer mains sometimes play survivor.
And honestly to me you sound like exactly that kind of spoon fed survivor main complaining about hitboxes and Noed.
Most complains about hitboxes are just lag/latency and anybody that plays killer for a while knows that there are also many swings that should have been hits and did not get detected correctly. And only lazy gen rush survivor complain about a perk that easy to counter than Noed. You want to "earn" a fix to Noed? Cleanse totems. So you really contradict your own point in the very same post.
-
I don't know if they ever checked for a true solution to locker peek, or if they just considered it "fixed" with that nerf to the killers FOV.
I never understood why they could not just turn the whole model of the survivor itself invisible while in a locker. They obviously can do that with auras, right? :P
And killer never got anything in return to compensate for that nerf of the FOV.
-
Nice we can agree on most of these things.^^
For 7. right now the locker aura cover not only ruins BBQ, which was the whole intend of this buff, but also ruins Wraith, Pigs, and Myers top add ons, that let them see auras.
If a survivor jumps into a locker the aura should only be hidden for a short amount of time.
For 8. the original FoV was much wider and killer could actually see survivor crouching in front of them without the need to turn the view down. The original FOV got screwed as a band aid fix to a survivor issue called "locker peek" (killer glitching into lockers to see if someoone is inside without opening it). To avoid locker peeks, the Devs moved the killers camera. They said it would be a temporary solution until they found a better way… but they just sticked with it and the original FOV never came back. That made it much harder to spot and aim.
-
Obviously you need it, because you said:
"To me, I just don't see why Survivors can be seen as the advantageous side.
…
Survivors have always felt considerably more difficult for me to play."
And that shows that you do not understand the basic gameplay of DBD.
Maybe that's why you think it is difficult to play survivor.
Learn the simple rules I posted above, play with them and if all 4 do, the game is pretty easy for survivor.
Survivor only start getting hard, if 1 or 2 survivor play like potatoes and don't do their part.
-
"@Orion @Wolf74 what are your ideas to balance the game?"
Just for balance?
- Start with the obvious: Self Care. Make it limited. 3 token, you lose a token when you finish self healing. So you can safe them by finding other or using a medkit to finish the healing. For obvious reasons, stopping healing for any reason will make you lose part of your progressionbar.
- Gen regression can only be stopped by working on the gen for 3 seconds to avoid run by clicks to stop regression.
- Bring the buffed Thana live.
- Remove invu frames and exhaustion relief from unhooking.
- Hatch does not open if someone else already escaped.
- Hexes only light up after their first effect got triggered.
- Locker aura hiding only works for 6 seconds.
- Bring back the original killer FOV
- Fix all the individual killer issues. Freddy should be able to pick up dying survivor while they get healed. Beartraps needs their original effective size back. etc.
- Remove the exposed notification.
The list could go on, but I only picked those things that jumped my mind asap.
-
You. Simple as that. you want to be lazy. If you like that... ok. That's your choice, but don't ask for more training wheels.
So I am out. You won't change your mind even if reason is biting you in the rear.
I won't drag that out any further… people can read this and make their own decision.
-
"Billy/nurse/noed need nerfs."
Dude, what happend to you?
You had been on a good way to understand the game... and now you do a full 180° on this.
Why?
-
There is no "insult" in this. It's just stating the obvious. If you feel offended by that, that's on you.
Survivor call anything "free" or "insta". This is really getting … "pathetic" :P
-
You stated that thesis, so it is on YOU to give reasons for it.
-
I know what you said. I just don't see a valid argument for that point.
-
@Orion is just right. It is really pathetic how survivor mains try to argue around it.
Killer is skilled and gets a 4K => "he did not deserve it"
Tons of Noed is op threads everyday => "Totems are no secondary objectives"
Do survivor mains notice their own flawed logic or did they just choose to ignore it?
-
"Nurse and billy players would have 4k’s handed to them if they knew how to play, I never said rework billy/nurse I said nerf."
Sorry, but I disagree. No killer gets anything "handed" to them in this game.
-
If both player are on the same skilllevel, the survivor will win.
A mediocre survivor can still loop a good killer. That's the issue.
Survivor like to think that they are superior and "deserve" to win, but in fact the whole game is rigged in their favor, but they do not want to admit it, because that would question their own skill.
-
Totally "related". Totems are an objective. If not, stop complaining about Noed.
Choose one.
-
Why should a secondary objective should be tied to a rework of Noed,Nurse or Billy???
That does not make any sense.
-
Here we go… "he deserved"... frickin NO!
If he looped him for so long and the killer got pissed off, he deserves to DIE.
Maybe the other 3 escape and he dies a heroes death, but he deserves jack crap for looping the killer for so long.
-
Oh the op is complaining about something that survivor mains did for years.
Survivor mains ganged up on one thing at a time to get it nerfed and if they got their way, they moved on to the next thing.
This happend for TWO years, before the killer mains learned it and started to make theirselves vocal and now survivor mains are mad at it, because they have opposition in the forum now.
-
I do play survivor and I just KNOW that I am in the superior role when I do.
I play 96% solo survivor and I KNOW that we will win IF the team is halfway decent.
Survivor only lose if one ore more people fool around and do not drag their weight.
Killer have to be waaaaay better than the survivor to win.
-
Calling legit complains "whining" doesn't bring you anywhere.
Defending broken mechanics just shows that you are not interested in true balance.
-
Devs try to balance around below average survivor player, but in a nutshell any non SWF can do the same by following some simple rules.
- Use Self Care
- Spread out
- If not in a chase and healthy, do gens
- If in a chase, waste as much time as possible
- If not in a chase and injured, use Self Care
- Do not make stupid/unsafe unhooks
- Everybody cleanse at least one dull totem
- Break up gens cluster whenever possible
-
Play a little longer and you will stop "respecting the 4%".
Survivor don't respect killer. So no need to respect them being lucky. It's not skill. Just whack 'em down. Unhooking themselves in your face is disrespectful by them, so strike them down.
-
It's simple mathematics.
The killer can only chase ONE survivor and keep him off the objectives.
Decent survivor ...like really, just decent, not top player, just average survivor that understood the game... can finish 3 gens when the killer gets his first hook.
From there it only goes down for the killer, because if he camps, he loses the other 2 gens and most likely the gates.
If he does not camp and instead chases, he gives free unhook and heal and restarts the scenario. The survivors lost a little time for the rescue and heal, but hey, they only have 2 more gens to go.
Do you see the problem now @Goldengeartwo ?
-
Looks like the thread opener isn't knowing what an asymetrical game is about and tries to tell everyone about his misconception. *rolleyes*
-
Lazy survivor won't stop attacking Noed and try to use social stigmatisation , peer pressure and shaming to make killer player not use it, until they manage to make the Devs cave in and change it.
-
Erm...maybe it is my lack of english skills, because I am not a native speaker… but can you rephrase your post so I can make sense of it?
I am not sure if you try to defend the thana nerf or speak up against it...
Right now, I do not buy the whole "no heal meta" idea.
And I doubt seeing multiple injured survivor to stach up Thana, but still all survivor always use the numbers from "4 injured" to calculate their "prove" that than as "to stronk". And ofc for them Sloppy is always a given, just wo make the numbers look better.
If you ask me, let them not heal and show me the gen rush.
If Thana needs to get nerfed just because it could be strong along TWO other perks (Sloppy+NC), why don't we get SC nerfed for it could be really fast along TWO perks (Botany+Resilience)?
-
Sorry, but I have nothing more to say. Your point of view is just pathetic.
Any talk about an end game perk being a perk to prepare to fail is just ridiculous.
And you don't admit that it is the survivors fault if Noed triggers.
You just want to keep survivor safe.
An evil, demonic possessed, psycho serial killer is using a "cheap shot"? Who would have guessed that!
-
I can't stand that survivor meme anymore: "Noed rewards you for failing".
That is such a crap idea. It's called "preparing". And just because the requirements are reversed in nature, still make them requirements.
If Noed triggers at all, it was the survivors fault. They failed. They did not do totems.
Stop turning the fault upside down.
DBD is a horror survival game based on slasher movies, so you better like getting a nasty jump scare surprise. But most survivor mains don't want that, they want the killer to be predictable so they can feel safe all the time.
-
The main issue is GEN TAPPING.
Run by clicks should not stop regression.
At least 2 seconds repair so that they can't do it mid chase would already help a lot.
3-4 seconds would be better. Maybe 5 would be already to much.
-
The real goal of the new MM was to hide SWF. So they don't get dodged.
-
Stop trying to fix what ain't broken.
Noed is fine how it is atm.
Your idea in general sounds interesting as a complete NEW perk, although I think it only sounds good on paper, but would be terribly weak in reality.
