It really amazed me... you really do not notice that you do all the things you blame me to do?

    1. Everybody can use tactic. Survivor and killer. But survivor have an ADDITONAL game mechanic that help them to prevent a 4K.
    2. Why is me asking for a 1K (in case 3 already escaped) or the 4th kill "entitlement" , but your defending of the safety net mechanic is ok?

    Your doublestandards are really annoying.

What is amazing is how you keep twisting my words with your Straw Mans and then changing what you want.

    1. You're not entitled to a 4k, if you want it earn it by either killing all 4 or preventing that extra gen from being done. It's amazing so many of the rest of us have no issues with it but you entitled few just can't get over the fact 1 escaped.

    2. Oh so now it's you asking for a 1k this time around and doing exactly what I said before you'd do which was change the move the goalposts. If you want that 1k earn it, if you let all 4 escape by powering all 5 gens that's your own fault.

You're asking for a free 4th kill that you didn't earn which is entitlement again, and you even came out and said it this time so you can't say you didn't anymore.

I'm defending the hatch because it's a lore based mechanic and you as the killer can prevent it from ever happening. But because you're either bad, played poorly, gout outplayed etc you want to be given a free kill you haven't earned.

If the survivors have done enough to have the hatch spawn, they earned THE CHANCE at getting out through the the hatch. If the survivors powered all 5 gens and opened the exit gates and got out they earned their escape.

If you you didn't manage to stop that and didn't kill anyone then you didn't deserve to kill anyone, you're not entitled to a free kill. You keep asking for a free kill and then at the same time say the survivors aren't entitled to a free escape.

You want a kill handed to for doing nothing other than letting them power all 5 gens and open both exit gates, you want to be rewarded for letting that happen.

The person that gets the hatch did so because 2 generators were done and they managed to avoid you and escape which is their objective.

You're objective is to sacrifice survivors and PREVENT THEM FROM DOING GENS, if they get to 5 gens done you've failed if they get out. If 2 gens get done and 3 die those 3 failed but the one that makes it out didn't.

IF the hatch spawns but the last person doesn't make it out then the killer earned that kill by making sure no one got out. They didn't come here whining about someone escaping and asking for a free entitlement kill because they didn't do good enough.

The only double standards exposed here are once again yours, you're now clearly asking for a free kill you don't deserve and trying to use the Red Herring.

You want that kill EARN IT, don't complain about it but go out and earn it like everyone else does without complaint.

You just repeat yourself over and over.
Nothing you say is new and maybe half of it is basically made up and the rest is out of context or simply oneside blind.
I don't even want to waste my time going in detail, but this is so terribly biased and stubborn it's beyond any chance of a serious debate.
You are promoting a narrative of failure that fits your agenda.
    Gens done = killer failed.
This is wrong at it's core idea.
There are tons of "endgame perks" and if the killer kills all 4 after 5 gens are done, he still failed by your standard.
The main objective is the escape/kill.
Next point is your desire to call people out for things you do. I NEVER asked for a "free kill" anywhere. Go out and try to quote me on this.
It is really annoying and borderline insulting that you keep up lying about people that do not agree with your points.

  • To all those that see it as a valid argument that the Devs said "SWF was intended from the beginning": this true, but it's also true that the Devs did NOT implemented it into the game from the beginning, because they KNEW it was unbalanced and they had no clue how to balance it.
Than the (survivor) player FORCED it into the game, by reviewbombing the game and the Devs caved in.

Talking about false narratives; this is one.
You just focus on one side of the story.

Don’t hate on it, these are in my opinion.

    S RANK: Nurse.

    A RANK: Hillbilly, Spirit, Hag

B RANK: Clown, Shape, Trapper, Cannibal

    C RANK: Huntress, Wraith.

    D RANK: Doctor, Pig

    F RANK: Poor, poor Nightmare

And again… to many killer put in high tier slots.
And Trapper and Cannibal on B? Come on.

    S: Nurse and Nurse alone
    A: Billy and Billy alone
    B: Huntress, Clown
    C: Hag, Doc, Shape, Wraith
    D: Pig, Cannibal, Trapper
    F: Freddy
(I do not rate Spirit, because of lack of experience with her)

  • Are they frickin kidding me??

"I am playing as a killer. What changes will I notice with the new matchmaking system?
As a killer, the noticeable difference is that you will see all four survivors appear almost simultaneously in the online lobby."

So the Devs now cover up all SWF groups to avoid dodging?
No way to prepre myself and equip some Moris?
Just another step to shove SWF down our throat?

Where is the nerf to SWF to balance that out?
Every time killer get something, the survivor get something to balance that out, but not the other way round.
    Crap doublestandards.

My guess… they intentionally screwed up the killer queues for the last couple of weeks, so that we are now glad to get faster lobbies.

  • Big NONO.
Well make it is made to trigger after an unhook.
Slugging is a legal way to counter that perk.
And slugging is actually made LESS viable, not more. The survivor can now recover up to 95% and could basically picked up in a run by, so no need to further increase the time to heal.
The perk is already pretty strong.

No matter how you try and deflect, use Straw Mans, Red Herrings or other logical fallacies you're still not correct.

The safety net for teh killer is to use their skills and kill 1 person thu preventing a 4 man escape.

There is no way for all 4 to escape unless the killer fails the entire game to sacrifice even a single person.

If you as a killer fail to kill a single person either via a mori, Rancor mori, or 3rd stage hook, 2nd stage hook that ends in a sacrifice then you're to blame.

Don't go blaming the survivors for all doing their objective and not standing there to give you a free kill instead of escaping once all 5 gens are done.

You're logical fallacies are getting more and more ludicrous as you run out of excuses and now you're just arguing to argue knowing you're wrong.

If 2 gens get done and 1 person escapes via the hatch they got out fair and square by doing their objective. You failed in preventing those gens from being powered and have no one to blame but yourself.

Once again, YOU'RE NOT ENTITLED TO A FREE KILL OR A 4TH KILL, no matter how you reword it, YOU FAILED. If you want that 4th kill then do like the rest of us do when we want, GO EARN IT.

Someday it'll get through you that the only person you have to blame is you for not getting that 4th kill since all you had to do is keep the needed gens from being powered and sacrifice everyone 1st.

  • @powerbats said:

    @Wolf74 said:

2.Why does the killer not have any free game mechanic that is made to avoid that 4 survivor escape?

I've already given logical and factual reasons for why the others and this one are illogical but this is a great one to show your twisted logic.

The killer does have a free game mechanic to prevent survivors from getting a 4 man escape and in actuality there's 2 free game mechanics the killer can use.

There's the tried and true method which is not letting them do 5 gens thereby making the hatch never spawn for all 4 survivors to use with a key.

While the other and often most direct one that is guaranteed to never let 4 escape is called.

    SACRIFICING 1 PERSON.

Now you can't try and twist or argue over semantics, troll, defect, use logical fallacies or anything else you normally try. If you as the killer don't do one of those 2 things that're free and in your power to do then you can't complain if 4 get out either via the gate or the hatch.

No matter how often you repeat that, it does not become true.
There is no safety net for killer to prevent a 4 escape, but there is a safety net for survivor to prevent a 4 kill
You can't claim that good tactics are the same than an ingame mechanic to support you.

Sometimes an echochamber needs a call to arms.

  • The stats are not useful, because survivor do not need to survive.
If they would need to survive to… rank up … or keep their points, the stats would look very different.
To many matches I play turn from a sure 1k into a 3k (or even 4k) just because the survivor refuse to leave anyone behind (or overconfident/cocky).
Also the Devs did not say if they included DCs as kills. And we all know how bad DCs leave the rest of the team. So one DCs and the rest of the team dies also, just because they ve been left with 3 player and 5 gens to go.
This is messing up the stats and is ruining their value.

Are you serious? I've seen you in several threads, all you do is pull out your memes and calling people survivor mains, even if they state they are killer mains -it doesn't matter to you, you'll call anyone a survivor main as long as they don't share your views. When someone calls you out, like here, you play the victim card. I hope the mods can see you for what you are.

If someone is constantly asking for killer nerfs, but at the same time is claiming to be a killer main… sorry, but that is way to obvious.
I know, people don't like getting caught lying, but it is what it is.

    1. It already is that way
    2. it often extend to a longer timeperiod, robbing killer of legal hits seconds after the unhooked already started running
    3. Overall this is a garbage mechanic, because the killer gets punished for survivor making bad plays. They make bad unhooks, but get extra protection despite them playing bad. Exhaustion relief, invu frames.

Yes, we have obviously different opinion son the game. for me it is still survivorsided by far.
Good survivor can still literally bully a killer.
Only very few, real good killer can stand a chance versus GOOD survivor.
That's what I constantly repeat: Killer have to be way better than the survivor to "win" (2+k).

The point we can agree on: weaker killer need buffs, maps need adjustments.

But before that happend, ANY nerfs to the few viable killer are downright wroooooong.

PS: I do admit that the latest changes had been a step in the right direction, because now when I play solo survivor I actually have a harder time to survive.
Before the survivor nerfs, I could survive most games and I am playing solo survivor and I am mediocre at best.

The lower-tier killers are garbage and in need of buffs/reworks.
Nurse needs nerfs and Billy is fine WITHOUT instasaw.
Care to disagree? Then have a real debate without disregarding ######### as "survior/killer-memes".

    Pretty simple answer:
As long as the low tier killer haven't been buffed, any debate about nerfing the few viable killer is pointless.
The game is still terribly survivor sided.
If both sides are on the same skilllevel, killer will lose (1k max).
The game needs to be balanced top down instead of bottom up.
Survivor use this doublestandard that anything survivor related should get balanced around "bad teammates", but anything killerrelated should be balanced around the most top notch killer player available.
That needs to end to get a reasonable debate about balance.

This thread isn't asking for a nerf to Billy, just his instasaw. You're either unable to read, or are being intentionally dishonest.

You also just said "the game should be balanced from the top down but not when it comes to killers" (according to survivors). What!?

    Just stop dude, it's embarrassing.

    lol
    Just stop?^^

So another nerf to "instasaw" is NOT a nerf to Billy?
    Who is dishonest now?

Btw... "instasaw" basically isn't existent anymore, because it already got nerfed (last patch or the one before).

Instasaw is not a SIGNIFICANT nerf to Billy, because good Billies do not need it, Billy is top-tier with or without add-ons, this specific combo just makes it too much.
The entire delusion that Billy takes no skill comes FROM instasaw removing the need to time chainsaws and reducing the cooldown to an extent where you dont even need to hit them consistently.
There is objectively no reason to keep instasaw in the game, or they at least should bump up Carburator to purple to make them at least somewhat less common in the future. But really outright nerfing only those add-on combinations without touching his base-power would be enough.

So an "insignificant" nerf (which is still debatable to call it that) is "NO" nerf at all?
So... hurting someone just a little, is "not hurting at all"? Just cheating a little is "not cheating at all"?
That way of arguing is just objectively WRONG.
And you completely ignored that instasaw was already nerfed not so long ago.

and again, why does a killer ability needs to get nerfed for the top notch killer player, but survivor stuff is always balanced around low skill player?

Instasaw takes literally 0 skill to use. There is 0 argument to be had for keeping it as is. You are arguing that "Billy shouldn't be nerfed" not "instasaw shouldn't be nerfed". A nerf to a killer is either nerfing their add-ons when they NEED them, like the blocks or class photo for freddy, or leatherfaces add-ons, but Billy himself will not fall in viability at all, he would just be way healthier for the game, almost ALL complaints about Billy come from facing instasaw.
Instasaw is broken, brainless and stupid.
Hillbilly is strong, but not OP and you need to actually be good to use him effectively.
there is a DIFFERENCE between a Billy with and without those add-ons. Nerfing those add-ons will not impact Billy himself, it will just make that combination more tolerable.

As soon as someone is dropping the "0 skill" speech, we are in meme land again.
Sorry, but I was about to take you serious, but now you lose it again.
"skillless, broken, brainless, stupid"... do you wanna talk about some survivorstuff?
Like calculating chases versus time to do gens?
That's what I said, IF survivor have half a functioning braincell, they can roflstomp any killer.
That seems to be totally ok with you, but any ability you deem "brainless" on a kilelr needs to get nerfed (multiple times).

When you talk about balance you talk objectively.

PS: Lets be honest, anybody coming to the forum with the "DS is fine, I just down them again and if you can't do that in 10 seconds your a garbage killer" is just using bad memes.
Survivor complain about 4 seconds extra on healing, but chasing for 10 more seconds is fine?
Any decent survivor is NOT downed in 10 seconds and mediocre runner extend a chase to ~30 seconds per hit. (That's how gen rush works and 3 gens pop when the first victim gets hooked)
So this is meme is not a real argument, because it isn't real calculation of a chase.

That's this dude's argument against anything "darn survivor meme", I feel like he has nothing real to say.

    lol
Yea, sure. I am just tired of debating with certain survivor mains.
They don't want to talk about arguments, logic or science/mathematics.
They have their agenda and try to push it through.
You can't win an internet debate with arguments if the other side is simply more stubborn and keeps repeating their agenda until they think it became true.

I'm trying to get bp for the next killer and wondered what killer and effective perks get the most bp. So far been using The Shape with Distressing, Thrill of the Hunt, BBQ and Chili, and Ruin to get 50-60k every round.

If you want to run Distressing anyway, better go with a killer that benefits from a bigger TR; like Doctor.

  • Maybe I just do not know how to play Pig, but for me she is pretty weak.
    Enlighten me, what's her strength?
-Crouching makes her slower and her FoV is terrible
-Ambush attacks are out speed boosted easy, especially since the telegraphs it with her roar
-RBTs are removed mostly to fast and she has to few
She slows down gen rush, IF she can get people down and they do not remove the RBTs to fast.
She can prevent people from running out the gates, IF she has still RBTs available in the late game AND the timing for that is right.
I admit that I am not good with her and do not really like playing her.
From my personal experience, she is overrated as heck.

Let's just remove all the good addons and let killers keep only those that barely affect their power!

    On the contrary.
No they're not. I count to 10 whenever I get Decisive Striked and they're down.
If you don't get them down in 10 seconds or less, I'm sorry but you're a terrible killer.

I'm not bashing on anyone, but I've never had a problem with DS, it gives them at most 7 seconds of extra life and that's it.

Now as for Billy, I wouldn't want a Nerf but I've been saying, stop allowing 1 Shot Killers to carry NOED.

    Nice meme bait.

HAHAHAHAHA That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. Let's ask BEHavior to provide some statistics on how many games contain at least one DS and/or one insta heal. Do you REALLY think the numbers will favor your ridiculous point of view?

Last stats are a bit old unfortunatly, but back than it was the 3rd most used perk, so I think you should try a new argument.

So I've finally become fed up with this enough to register and make a thing about it.

The fact that killers can hit survivors while they're in the middle of pulling a pallet down and even hit them when they're on the other side is ridiculous and extremely frustrating. I've seen it happen and had it happen to me so many times that it really seems to be a problem.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Yea, totally crap… pallets are supposed to be magical forcefields. After they get dropped they should be totally save. Killer should totally get stunned by them every time. Survivor need them to survive.
And we need more pallets on every map.
    Plz give back the vacuum!

Question, if someone is unhooked would you rather they heal for 32 seconds or 16 seconds?

    :thonk:

I have no issue with selfcare, every survivor I play against can run selfcare and it won't bother me, if self care is the reason you're losing you're just a bad killer, stop losing injured survivors it's not that hard lmfao.

If we run in different directions… it doesn't matter... but again… it would need basic math skills to understand that.

    Are you serious?
With a self healing that is the same speed as getting healed by another survivor, the "drawback" is non existent.
You just took the most used perk and made it BETTER.

Do you actually understand what means the word EXAMPLE?

Yes, you suggested it, I commented on it.
I am telling you, your "example" is terribly unbalanced.
I actually can't imagine anyone calling that a good idea.

There's no "hatch issue" as far as I know. It's those who make up this issue who have a problem with it.

1.Why do survivor have a free game mechanic that is made to rob the killer of a deserved 4K?

2.Why does the killer not have any free game mechanic that is made to avoid that 4 survivor escape?

3.Why does the hatch open if anybody else already escaped?

4.Why has the survivor the upper hand in a hatch stand off?

1: you don't deserve it as much as you think if you do nothing to prepare for it.

2: Killers do. Slug the last 2. Or even 3. Or stand on the hatch. Or near it and grab the survivor as they jump in. Or know where it is, and try to intercept the survivor. Especially with a one hit down killer, or perk like Rancor, or some such.

3: you got me here. It's kinda annoying when they go out of their way to hatch play. Especially when the gate is way more viable.

4: I don't believe they do. Just mind game them. Bait them into trying for the hatch, then grab them. Or stand on it, and do something else.

1.How does a killer not deserve it? Did the other 3 die from old age? Actually I am fine with a 3k IF I could get a similar mechanic for killer to avoid 4 escape.

    1. Actually nothing you said answered the question. Please reread the question, because I don't think you actually thought that through.

    2. Thanks we can agree at least on one point.

    3. The hatch stand off is a game of stubbornness. If the killer swings, he lost. His only chance is to grab. Perks can't be the answer to this question, since the survivor doesn't need any perks for this either.

While the new procedural rules for pallets makes them less and more distant, to tte extent of disappearing, the same cannot be said for the hooks.

    Are you kidding me?
There are already double pallets reappearing and hooks are spread out like survivor asked it for.
The amount of pallet has not changed at all, but hooks became less.
    Some survivor have never enough.

-Trapper: reset traps without picking them up before - a big YES

-Freddy: being able to pick dying survivor up, even when they recieve healing - an even bigger YES

-Huntress: gimme a crosshair^^ - only through my cold, dead body. She's good enough where she is.

-Leatherface: remove the slowdown while revving his saw. - Wouldn't it be too much?

-Myers: Bring back EW1 bloodlust (it was a mistake to remove that) - no idea.

    That's my take on this.

ok, so we agree on Trapper and Freddy.^^

For Huntress, it is just me sucking at throwing hatchets.^^

Leatherface is really in need of some decent buff and right now you basically have to piggyback ride any survivor you want to hit with the chainsaw and all his add ons that should increase his odds are garbage.

And Myers was really a bad move to remove bloodlust, good looper can deny stalking for to long now and add ons that keep Myers in EW1 for the whole game are now basically trashed without bloodlust.

  • @Ryuhi said:
Before we start, no, I'm not talking about OH YOU HIT ME MORE THAN ONCE IN A ROW THATS TUNNELLING or other juvenile bullshit. I'm talking about taking a single player and expressly forbidding them from being able to do anything in the game outside of a chase and eventual hook. I feel like this is most often brought on by survivors who play like #########, in SWFs teabagging, flashlighting, and spewing every ounce of disrespect they can muster. fine. But what about when its that player who literally spawns right next to you, and does nothing to show an ounce of disrespect? Do they not deserve a chance to play the game?
    ...

TL;DR Be the change in the community you want to see. survivors who act like shitheels deserve everything coming to them, but fishing for salty survivor tears out of solo queue survivors is the exact reason why so many of them become game breakingly cancerous SWFs. All we have to do is not play like asshats and be excellent to one another. It will be impossible to correctly balance the game until this human condition is treated.

First off: In the past the term "tunneling" was used to describe a bad style of play, where some killer just entered tunnelvision and ignored everything around them, including survivors doing gens right beside them.
They did not protect the gens or applied pressure on the map, they just chased one target no matter what happend around them.
    That was "bad play".
Now survivor call literally ANYTHING "tunneling", even if it is not a "bad play", but instead it is smart en efficient.
It has become a combatterm to apply social peer pressure on player to make them not play like that.
Chasing someone till he is down and on a hook is called "tunneling".
Hooking the same guy twice in a row is called tunneling.
Avoiding bait or people that want to tank a hit is called tunneling.

The problem in the debate about "tunneling" is that people talk about 2 separate things and call it the same.

1 is a bad style of play, that hurts the killer.
2 is a smart and efficient way to play for killer.

The problem is that survivor player do not acknowledge that it is a valid tactic and call it all "bad" playstyle.

And second: "tunneling" has little to do with "punishing" anyone, since it is smart to remove one player from the game ASAP, no matter how he played before.

My suggestion would be to talk about "tunnelvision" if it is the kind of play that actually hurts the killer and "tunneling" only if it really is an intended focusing on one player to eliminate him asap.
    Anything else is just "chasing".
But I don't expect this words to get along with the community.
