What improvements? Only improvements i see atm is the maps.
2018 dbd is literalyl in a better spot than the game is now, unless you only play killer. Survivor has been absolutely gutted with this update and be prepared for incredibly long killer que times.
-
Autohaven bus is awful now but tbh can u rlly hate a survivor for abusing it when the game is almost unplayable for survivor now?

I like the new animations
The new HUD has grown on me
The mangled change is nice
I haven't personally experienced any hitbox issues I haven't seen before
Devs have said it's not so easy to make changes in the time between PTB and pushing to live. Maybe they'll change what so many people are crying about
But if not, it's not the end of the world. Truly, go play something else if these changes bother you so much
If you like the new animations are you going to play survivor more? Or are you just one of those people who will say the animations are awesome and then never touch survivor again and stick to killer? So far everyone i've seen support the animations hardly plays survivor or will not be playing survivor much after this change.
-
+1
-
They had a whole MONTH btw to get things right from the ptb. Then you look at the changes they made from ptb to live and its 3 of the smallest things. What on earth is happening.
-
It's a literal downgrade from the old animations. I don't understand.
-
Because doctor's balanced, not opressive and you need to actually be good with him to get results.
-
Why are you letting everygame go to endgame saves and such? To me it sounds more like ur accepting ur defeat everymatch if your that paranoid about a potential ds in endgame (the point of game which you get to AFTER you've been loosing btw)
-
I've always been of the belief that camping and tunneling should be allowed BUT there should be some sort of tradeoff for it, something which makes you think as killer is this the right thing to do in this situation rather than just instinctively switching to camping/tunneling mode whenever you start loosing.
-
@Verconissp said:
Until other stuff get changed about survivor. camping and tunneling won't Ever be changed my guy,
Other stuff? What else is there lef to change that's problematic on survivor side apart from keys?

I think it's because Undying is a perk that you could take away in the first place just by doing totems, which leaves a void perk slot. Now they made it a lot less useful.
I also think it's because survivors wanted a second objective & when they finally got one, they didn't like it and it was nerfed.
But now that they did the same for DS & OoO, people are happier because both sides got a nerf on their strong perks, which makes it a lot more balanced.
That's fair, although they wanted an actual secondary objective not a perk which addes a partial secondary objective based on rng and luck.
However i think that at this point in the games development, a second objective really isnt nescasery for killer unless it makes gens shorter for compensation, giving the killer even more time now is not the way to go.
And undying is still going to be really strong with ruin, just less rng based and annoying to deal with as survivor, at the same time buffing it's potential with devour and other hexes. Imagine thrill+undying+devour.
-
Agree, it's going to be incredibly frustrating when you start healing someone for a split second and the killer instantly comes back and tunnels you.
-
It is true there are some good changes, but why wasn't the same thing said when the undying changes were announced? To me this seems very one sided that only survivor nerds are seen ad "good changes". Hopefully now that pretty much everything on the survivor side has been addressed that we'll see some Freddy/spirit and deadzone changes.
-
Idk it doesn't make sense. Always bothered me how blight and demos attacks don't count as m1s but nurses and spirits do.

You say that like she isn't one of the strongest killers in the entire game; behind only like Freddy, Spirit and Nurse maybe.
I would not say one of the major tournament picks is "Only good for camping"
What hag used to do well in tournament games, twins now does a lot better.
-
Yes 100%, he's pretty much at spirit's level, which puts him 3rd/2nd best in the game.
By far best flexible mobility in the game and can end chase very fast. Only thing that keeps him from being nurse level is his power recharge.
-
Blendettes who once two ppl were left all hid for about half an hour waiting for the other to get found.
-
Because like freddy, she stomps solo q players but gets stomped by swf.
-
legion, pig and clown are probably the funnest. If you classify billy and bubba as then i'd also reccomend those.
-
Because you can already save stacks by doing a short lunge and getting closer up to the survivor. There's no need to make it activation and it would take the counterplay out of it, as you would never be able to tell when a killer is about to use it.
-
Iri stone should not be base, infact i'd rather it be removed and then addons such as bag be base. Iri stone takes alot of the skill out of trapper as all you do as an iri stone trapper is trap pallet and windows and permanently block those loops off.

Then why should consolers support Crossplay at all? What happened to a level playing field, with everyone all playing the same game?
And any on console wanting to go over to PC would have to rebuy everything and grind again from scratch, because there's no Cross Progression and it is unlikely to happen.
You make it sound like we were totally screwed the moment we got this game on a console, instead of all of us in this together.
Sure i think console should be supported as much as possible but at the end of the day theres only so much you can do, and you shouldnt be stopping and bannign things on pc just becaues consoler's cant do it. You can't actively remove features from one platform cause another one doesnt have it, its better to aim to add or improve those features on the other platform.

Because it gives a large advantage against players on consoles who cannot do that and makes it unbalanced against oc plyers
Every game you play there will be disadvantages when playing on a console. I mean just look at any shooter. If you don't want disadvantages then don't get a console.

Survivors use it to see the stain though walls and to spot things that normally get hidden by the dark or grass while killers can make any attempt at stealth by a survivor impossible as they can see them clearly even though the fog at long ranges
It goes both ways as killers can do exactly the same thing. And in reality how big of a difference does it make? Survivors who don't use lighting filtering would just adapt and still be able to do just as well.
-
What's the point in sharing something that ultimately never gets released? That would just cause anger and annoyance amongst the killer. Sure I think they should share things that are close to completion or ready for testing and ptb and such but they aren't obliged to share anything in reality, and telling them what they must and mustn't share sounds very controlling.
-
I've never seen any other game where ppl have considered bans for increasing ur lighting or changing it up. Just why?
-
Freddy was one of their first big rework of an older killer so understandably they didn't know what to win for and ended up over buffing him. However I agree they definitely got bubba and doctor right, they are now solid mid tier killers.
-
Deathslinger- Hate everything about this mans. He's just a disgusting human being with no skill.
Freddy- Another killer who just feels cheap when you loose two considering they take little skill.
Spirit- Feels like you're hopelessly guessing what she did with no cues or indicators. I'd be fine to she had indicators as to what she's doing but she tells you nothing.
Honourable mention to twins, who is the scummiest campiest sluggiest killer released, idk how she was able to be released in her state 5 years into the games life.
I woulda put old PH up there but I don't think he's that bad now, you actually have to be somewhat good with him to win.

Well I kinda know how to not get mindgamed tho... it's open window which let's you see each direction. Anyway woulda should could. I've done this same loop against an oni who could make me drop pallets by having good pathing and he still didnt get me because instead of chaining like an idiot I used pallets when I had to and saved them when I didnt. So even if this is a bad example ik it works.
But you've never had a killer mindgamr the vault? You know sometimes all it takes is a little look the other way and then vault or a quick vault fake and you get a free hit. I've seen countless killers not try anything special at jungldgyms or mindgameable loops like those and then complain the loops too strong, when in reality they judt need to learn how to mindgamr it.

Maybe if they greed pallets or the survivor is dumb. If you cant chain a tile vs a m1 killer because they cut you off you either A lost sight or B greeded until bloodlust or C bad survivor
The only reason you were allowed to chain thoes tiles in that game however was because the legion was literally letting you. She had no idea where you were half the time and she didnt try to moonwalk or mindgame or anything, she was literally just holding w. Ofcourse you can chain tiles against a killer like that. She could have however easily mindgamed you at that jungle gymn window from the start and either forced a pallet or gotten a hit. Instead she took awful pathing and went who knows where giving you free rein to run to other tiles. Judging by her playstyle she coulda been looped at a t and l for just as long.

Eh idk that loop chain is dirty that's the point. Not necessarily the map
It's honestly not that bad compared to other maps. Sure it's got some decent loops but maze tiles are all mindgameable and so are a decent amount of the farm loops. Plus the fact that it's one of the smallest maps in the game means you can easily drop chase and go find someone else without being heavily punished.
Loop chains are not what they used to be, most killers can counter them these days and often they are not so hard to deal with.
-
Rancid is actualyl quite a fair and balanced map because it is very small and easy for the killer to pressure, and in reality the loops are nowhere near as bad as they might be on the game or badham.
-
Very hard to do so in solo q, but in swf you can co-ordinate popping traps and overwhelming her with large amounts of pressure.
-
This is what i'd say, with the killers furthest to the left borderline pushing the next tier.

No sane person would want a spirit or nurse buff. Nurse needs bug fixes, not new mechanics.
It wouldn't buff them it would probably actualyl nerf them a bit because it would prevent the ability to use perks like surge and devour.
-
@ukenicky said:
It really isn't that big of a plus tbh. If they couldn't basic attack then they'd have no ways of using all those perks that apply on basic M1 hits.
And if they somehow had their basic attack and a secondary special attack that would be actually way too good for them as then they'd have a way of retaining STBFL stacks.
It's all good the way it is rn, Spirit and Nurse are fine. Well, actually people seem pretty unhappy with Nurse in terms of fun and Spirit could do with some add-on nerfs (Seriously, broken add-ons on an S tier killer?).
I don't have a problem with nurse and spirit strength wise i just find that it's ridiculous that the strongest killers get an extra buff through this condition yet weaker killers aren't allowed this. Makes no sense balance wise to me.

Spirit and nurse both can instantly face any direction right after using their power. Spirit technically has the same lunge, she gets movement speed increase after using her power. Same as wraith
Spirit I could maybe get along with that, but then nurse's attacks are literalyl classified as blink attacks not normal attacks, which is shown when you get the score for those hits. Her lunge is also significantly reduced than normal lunges.
-
@Greatamygdala said:
Blight's lunge has no collision and slides through object and can't control it as freely as other basic m1s so its kinda different if you look at it that way.
That's true, but under those rules wouldn't nurse and spirits hits be different two because they have different mechanics.
-
@HellDescent said:
Because Blight's not using basic attack when using his power. You can tell that just by the fact that he can barely turn
But neither is nurse, and spirit has an extremely extended lunge after phase.

Yes I know that but my biggest problem comes from 360's, probably also because I play on ps4
Playing on ps4 definitely doesn't help but patience would. Also if they are runnign along a wall, you can rush slightly to the left or right of them and the wall so that they cant dodge out the way because you've got the ground covered.
-
When you first start off with him i would reccomend mostly using his power for mobility and then gradually learning game by game the ways you can use it at different loops. It's takes more practise than nurse, there's not one true and easy way to play him.

(Omg thank you for actually reading the original post, most people are only reading the title and thinking they know what I'm talking about)
Yeah I think, assuming he was balanced appropriately, it would be interesting and actually require a bit more intelligence. Right now he is balanced, just boring (to me anyway).
Yea agree there's only so much you can do as and against when it comes to throwing the pink bottles which is why clown often isn't regarded as one of the funner killers.
-
Wait there are actually ppl saying bbq is op? Think i need a word with them.
-
I like them because of the way that there's different ones and different spawns which are better kicked in than others and trying out kicking and leaving different walls as killer is definitely interesting. Adds more thought process and fun into " Is this walk worth kicking or should I leave it" and stuff. There's actually a large majority which you don't need to break. Only some of the Macmillan ones do you actually have to.
-
I can't believe the nonsense I'm hearing about huntress being unbalanced. Do people want every killer to be like deathsligner and spirit or what.
-
Pretty much any killer exept for wraith, trapper and maybe hag. They are definitely getting better at making newer killers and reworked killers less addon dependent.
-
Dead hard is far more broken than DS is. Why? It can basically give you an extra healthstate at the price of nothing, not even instaheals can do it to its effectiveness.
Every other exhaustion perk has requirements and provides decent benefits if you meet those requirements, making them balanced and fair. Dead hard is literally just press e to win if ur injured. There's hardly any skill involved with the perk. A nurse or blight catchets up to you? Just press e. Not going to make a pallet or window? Press e. Get mindgamed/outplayed? Press e. Perks don't get more basic than this. There is no skill in a perk that allows you to recover from ur mistakes and misplays. I get that often it won't work or won't help you or you'll end up exhausted on the ground but when it does, it's benefits are far to great considering there's nothing you actually need to do to activate it.
-
Idk ppl are saying that it would make him unplayable but woudl it? If clowns yellow bottles origionally didnt affect survivors but then they were changed to affect survivors, there would be a huge amount of backlash. Obvsiously it would require tons of changing and game balance accordingly but i think it could be interesting.
-
Ppl will tell you not to play her because of bugs and such but lets be honest what killer doesn't have bugs. She's still one of the funnest killers in the game to play and very rewarding once you learn her. If i had to give you some tips, i would reccomend using i'm all ears/bbq at least when you first start out and be patient with your blinks. Often it is wiser to hold ur second blink and save it rather than hastily using it.
-
I do agree that dead hard for distance is kind of stupid. I woudl rather see a rework which gives it more dodging lunges capabilities without being exhausted on the ground but also reduce the whole distance gained thing.
