  • I would agree he is strong, however a lot of this is due to the fact that many survivors are still oblivious to how to counter him. As soon as survivors figure out how to break away from loops and cut down distance by hugging corners tightly etc, he will loose a fair bit of his strength which comes from his antiloop. Despite this I would still say he’s in a good spot at the moment just like demogorgon and oni, but not strong enough to be with spirit, nurse and Freddy

  • The problem is that survivors don’t need to run good perks and play super optimally to win, where as killers do.

Obviously in the current state of the game a total NO but if the majority of the issues are fixed then is it a maybe? I personally hope because Dbd has alot of interesting mechanics that can make games really nice and fun to watch. The devs always consider making the game more fun but I wonder if the devs ever thought about making the game compatative and srsly. Your thoughts?

I agree. It’s got good ground work to be a competitive game but it would need a lot of tweaks and balancing for both survivors, killers and maps to make matches a more even playing field.

Mine was just an idea, because in various situations of chase the Huntress is heavily unbalanced, peace!

This cooldown could be added by increasing the base speed of the killer?

It is not to nerfy, but to be slightly reworked (and a killer main tells you)

Huntress, like nurse and spirit, can’t be looped normally and so therefore you need to develop different strategies. The biggest thing against huntress is making sure you are not out positioned. Finding a safe loop which huntress can’t throw over is a good way to start countering a huntress if you struggle against them. It is also a good idea to break away from loops and loose line of sight to gain distance on her and to prevent being stuck in an unwanted situation.

  • Top three survivors to buy (not including the ones that come with the original game): Laurie, feng and Jane or Yui.

  • Nurse lmao. I’m only good at her because I enjoy mastering blinks and the challenges that come with them.

    I'd say Wraith for underrated.

Being able to cloak and overtake survivors to block off windows and vaults, and with a surprising amount of mobility to get around maps.

Yea I would agree wraith is very strong. I just feel like a lot of people are realising his potential now especially with all the sloppy thana builds on him.

Although I will admit Freddy has some low skilled mechanics, his portal placement are very similar to trappers traps. You need to think logical, and sometimes that can take skill.

I agree snares do require a certain degree of skill, however many killers use them in pretty basic ways such as placing them on the side of a loop when the survivor reaches one. Trappers traps can’t just be placed anywhere tho they need shelter under grass and such.

To both killer and survivors, and those of us that play both. (Everyone should play both at some point though.)

I would say this more from a killers perspective, and at all ranks (although with MM as it is, rank is kind of meaningless rn)

But how often do you 4k, or escape, and feel that you earned it? I would probably say I 3 or 4k 80% of games. However I rarely feel like they are close games, or that were "fun for both sides"

At red ranks, there is normally at least 1 survivor that dosnt know how to loop and use pallets properly, don't know how to run gyms and have no clue what pallets are safe or unsafe and most will make some sort of mistakes. This dosnt feel rewarding to win.

(Ranging from slip ups getting me a hit, to just being complete potatoes) If I was to go back over every kill I have (And ngl, its in the thousands.) most are directly down to the survivors doing the wrong thing.

In a game where survivors don't make mistakes, I lose, almost 100% of the time.

If a game ends in a 2k (the stated aim) it feels like a loss, gens get done, little pressure is applied, and the game is in the survivors hand. The games I win, often feel like im just steamrolling.

Close games do happen, but t least in my experience, things are such feast or famine, that the overall global stats must be skewed so heavily by the majority of bad survivor players.

    Anyone else feel this way?

When I play nurse, spirit or huntress I feel like I can beat any survivors. Pig and Freddy to a degree. As for survivor I’ve been in so many games where the killer downs us pretty fast yet still looses the game because of one slightly long chase they have had with someone.

  • Disagree. Devour, Thrill of the hunt and haunted should all stay hexes. Devour is a perfect example of what hex’s should be like because it provides an extremely beneficial reward at the cost of running the risk it will be destroyed. Haunted and thrill just have to stay hex’s because of their design. Huntress’s lullaby and third seal could maybe be changed to a non hex however a small buff to them each would make them a better hex. For huntress’s lullaby don’t show the indicator that the hex exists until a certain amount of stacks have been reached like devour. Third seal is probably a harder one to buff. Only perk that truly shouldn’t be a hex is new ruin.

I love how all strong killers are brain dead to play. Freddy has more tool than most other killers but if the survivors play it right he is definitely not auto win.

First survivors have to understand that he can't be looped like normal, unless you are awake. That's why prioritzing staying awake is important. Even his ability to teleport is hindered by players being awake as his cool down is shortened when people are asleep.

Im not saying hes easy to play against, but most of the problems lie in playing as if he's just an m1 killer.

I hate to say this, as it affects my killer games, but spine chill is such a good perk. Even though freddy isnt really stealth, his power makes it hard to see when he's coming for you.

Also, and i know this is a no no, but knowing when to drop pallets early can render his snares almost useless depending on the tile.

I definitely disagree that all strong killers are brain dead. I would say nurse, spirit and huntress actually require the most skill out of any killers in this game. Yes you can counter his anti loop by pulling pallets early but it doesn’t take long before all the pallets on the map are gone, and because of his slowdown whether it be choosing to wake up or taking the penalties, all the Freddy has to do at this point is keep rotating to gens with his teleportation, get free downs as all the pallets are gone and use pop to prevent the survivors from getting anywhere. It is possible to beat him but you need to have an incredibly optimal and reliable team and a Freddy who doesn’t know how to rotate between survivors.

These replies just prove that the devs dont understand their own game and I dont want to be mean. @Almo @Peanits I would really like to see the numbers you are using to make your claims but I am positive that those numbers have nothing to do with the balance or with the strength of the Pig. Do you even realize, as developers, that you dont have CASUAL mode in game so everyone who plays casualy (solo or with friends), everyone who plays for memes, everyone who doesnt play competitively for any reason (which is a lot of people even at red ranks) is included in those numbers?? How can you then use those numbers and talk about the strength or balance? Mabye some specific killers are played more casualy than others? I dont know and you dont know also. No numbers would show you that unless there is a RANKED mode and you have numbers just from people who actually try.

This is why there is such a difference between the community and the devs...the community actually know the game and the devs have some numbers and cant properly read it. Everyone knows the Pig needs a slight buff..as well as another 5 killers or so..

This is exactly why I have lost all the hope considering this game..the philosophy behind it si just wrong and the devs have never decided if they want to make causal or competitive game. They have been trying to please everyone but this is not how to do it. And by providing the link for the autumn statistics which are so irrelevant when you talk about one specific killer, they just proved that they think about it all wrong.

Pig isn’t the strongest killer but she’s a lot stronger than people give her credit for. She has an inbuilt game slower way stronger than ruin ever was, a stealth ability and a semi mind game anti loop. There are many other killers which more urgently need love shown to them such as bubba, legion and clown.

  • @Almo said:

I am confident given the data we have that Pig does not need a buff. As stated before, there are a few weird things to fix, but not specifically to make her more powerful.

We can't go into huge detail about the information we have on this because it becomes too large a discussion.

Recall I am a Pig main... I promise I am not trying to keep her down just for the hell of it. :D

I have to agree as someone who plays pig as well. One of the few killers who I’ve been able to defeat some of the best OCE swf’s with. However it often comes done to rng with the helmets More often than not so it would be nice to see if the rng was made more consistent such as removing the ability for the trap to be removed in the first box.

  • I’ve noticed it as well. Can’t play nurse at the moment as the frame drops whilst she’s blinking just make me completely loose my sense of direction.

  • I’ve gotta say from large amounts of Freddy games I’ve seen and played from both sides, Freddy needs a change or something tweaked. Not because he’s strong but because he’s brain dead and requires almost no skill. Not only does he basically make clown, billy and stealth killers look bad by basically stealing their abilities but Freddy is basically rewarded for wasting too much time on a single survivor because of his ridiculous slow down and ability to just teleport to any gen. Not saying he’s OP but rather he’s brain dead.

  • Smaller loops are easier to loop because it’s easier to loop back around when the killer continuously lunges through. Also means you can get more loops in.

The game became much smoother since yesterday for ps4.

My second day on nurse is a blast, before I was struggling a lot with her.

For me it's better than before.

For some reason I’ve struggled with her more since the update, idk if it’s just me but I feel like there are larger frame drops when she blinks and it becomes harder to focus on the target
