That doesn't sound like a killer counterpart to ds, pop is the closest to a killer counterpart of ds considering the requirements of both perks. Sounds more like someone's just been hit by a ds and has come to the forums to complain about it.

IDK why ppl are getting so upty and saying "oh you should not tell people what to do or play" I'm just giving a head up to all new nurse players.
No, She's not satisfying to play at all. I call BS to anyone saying that blinking perfectly to a survivor just for the game say "haha f. no you won't" and then going into fatigue is fun.
That knowing how long you should hold m2 to blink, then getting ######### 'cause the map decided that NO, this really slim object actually is waaaaay larger so you should've hold longer is fun.
That wiffing through the survivor just 'cause the game can't register a post-blink lunge (no, it isn't wiffing the air, it's the weapon literally going through the model of the survivor - who's not injured, so no "E" counterplay) is waaaay too fun.
And that's just the most "common issues".
So yeah, you can totally go ahead and try to learn her and be welcome to the club, but be warned that it's frustrating as hell and every game that you play her (if you wan't to play her optimally and try to go for total domination) will be a sweat fest.
IDK why ppl are suddenly getting on this nurse hate bandwagon. Do people forget that she's still the best killer in the game by far? Sure spirit is easier but she's also braindead, and learning nurse, although a challenge, is very fun and rewarding. Not everyone wants to flick on the easy mode switch and i think more ppl in this game need to be opening themselves up to challenges rather than just running the strongest and easiest builds/killers available. Beating a team with stridor ruin undying spirit is not impressive, anyone who's played the game for more than 50 hours can. But beating a team with nurse definitely is much more.
-
Not everyone wants to play a killer who you can instantly stomp people with. Some ppl in this game actually enjoy a challenge rather than being handed wins by playing freddy/spirit etc.

Tell that to Autohavens cars. Blight literally can't hit the broad side of a car or truck without slipping off in some way.
Theres only one autohaven type of car which you cant bounce off of, and its actually more useful than a nuescense because you can slide around the cars rather than getting stuck on them.
Swap is where the bs collision is at. It's pretty much random as to whether you'll slide off a tree or not and theres some rocks and debree you cant bounce on at all.
-
@chieften333 said:
Blight is underrated when he works.
Sadly the reworked maps are detrimental to him because these devs can't make accurate hitboxes for whatever reason.
Don't even get me started on new ormond, which has worse hitboxes than before.
Apart from ormond, I would say the new maps are actually mostly better. It's the older ones like swamp i find bs.

He is not harder than Nurse. You can easily use Blight just for mobility and never use his Power at Loops, this is not possible with Nurse.
He has a higher skill cap than nurse, which means you can get better and better even more than you can with nurse. Nurse has a higher skill floor though because of the fact that you can't play her without using her power.
-
@JayjayJetplane said:
No. Even though her power is lame and she's basically a reskinned ghost face, "she keel lots". They don't care about quality of the power, only data. Maybe in a few mid chapters they will give her a miniscule addon rework (so in about a year and a half🤡)
You're calling pig a reskinned ghostface even though she came out almost 2 years before he did?
-
Crotus prem changed were honestly amazing. Not only does it look really good, but it honestly looks like they've balanced the map now as main isn't torture anymore.

No killer makes me eye roll more than deathsligner, hearing his gun sound or his terror radius is the most demotivating thing in the game.

Makes argument for why DS is okay, backtracks immediately when called out lmao ok
You being an entitled survivor main is all we can agree on because everything else you've said so far is just dumb. Also your death hook is not 50% of DS, it's 33% and if you are tunneling it's almost always used before death hook anyways so, moris are just an animation, not a counter to anything expect 10 seconds of gameplay. Basic math and English obviously aren't your strong points so it's okay, but stop pretending like they are.
Ur telling me maths and basic English aren't my strong points yet you're saying that half of 100 percent is 33 percent. Morris negate half of DS because DS only activates 2 times and Morris counter the second time. And ur also saying that being able to bypass ds, sabo plays, flashlight plays, wiggle off plays, antipickuo and slug plays and save time is completely useless?
Don't start making up stuff because I NEVER said DS was fine, I simply asked why you complained that Morris were useless when they counter half of DS, something which you clearly don't realise yet.
Of course I could yell you that I have probably 3k hours almost on killer nut you wouflnt believe ofcourse so yes I am an entitled survivor main you must be right.

Are you trying to say that DS is fine because moris got nerfed? Are you saying the 5 seconds it takes to get a death hook makes moris worth it?
AHAHAHAHAHAH, you're 100% a survivor main
I never said Ds was fine but for your advice 50% of ds can be countered using a mori, allowing you to freely tunnel ppl off of second hook.
Oh and sorry I forgot saying anything against the grain or positive about DS is sinful and automatically means I'm an entitled survivor main.

1. Killers can already do this if they really want, DS just delays them 20-30 seconds (or longer with BT)
2. No one's asking for removal, just lowering of the timer and maybe also a few tweaks around deactivating the perk if the tunnel-ee performs offensive actions such as fixing a gen
You make the timer shorter and by the time the killer downs and picks up the survivor again it would have ran out, current ds is very effective at punishing tunnlers and if it is nerfed significantly, i would imagine there would be plenty of loopholes found to bypass it.

Soo,i didn't watch many tournaments so far but from what i can tell is that camping only really works if you get a down very early in the game and follow it up with hard tunneling if they come for the rescue
If you get a basement there's pretty much nothing they can do.
Farming against a nurse and spirit will only buy you so much time.
Also if you get a hook in the middle of a three gen or near a gen it's very easy to camp that and pressure the survivors, especially considering that high mobility killers are mostly played.
And it's not straightup facecamping every hook. It's doing things such as forcing struggle, forcing death and staying near hooks in strategic ways so that you are able to snowball off of it. So many killers try just facecamping every single hook and then expect to dominate a game off of that.
-
At least haddonfield doesn't gave thousands of god and boring pallets to play on both sides, unlike the game. Glad they are addressing that map first. They will get to haddonfield although I'm imagining that they are gonna have to do a bigger rework with that map so they are taking more time with that, where as the previous maps were far easier to rework.

I admit she messed up her anti-looping attempts with the chainsaw a couple times (especially when she tried to backwards anti-loop and crashed into the rock resulting in a tantrum) but if a few mistakes justify a 4 man escape / 0k even when you're a streamer that lives and breathes DBD since... Basically ever - then it just goes to show how unforgiving killer gameplay is especially if you play any killer other than your main.
She even ran Corrupt Intervention which feels huge to me as I usually don't run any slowdown stuff.
Also don't people usually say Bubba is brainless easy to play? How did she then lose as Bubba with slowdown on Shelter Woods? That's an amazing map for Bubba.
Who's saying bubba is brainless to play? I quite enjoy vsing and playing as him because he's a very fair killer, provided there's no facecamping involved.
Regardless, missing and failing to get multiple downs is a few big mistakes which you should be punished for. Of you can't down someone, why should you be rewarded? Especially if you're vsing a good 4man. People don't seem to understand that you are and as should be penalised for making mistakes against a good opponent. Same goes for a good killer, who will definitely punish you if you make a mistake in a chase or give a free down/hook.
-
Just a reminder that without ds, survivor experience would be miserable as it would mean free rein over the ability to tunnel and force survivors out of the game.
-
Nurse Insta easy mode? I'm sorry what? Swap the title for spirit and I would agree with you but nurse?
She's one of the hardest killers to learn and although she is very strong, she does not get free wins unlike a lot of other killers in this game. Only time a nurse gets free wins is when they run slowdown perks, which is definitely over the top considering ur playing nurse, but often ruin undying nurses and such are actually garbage at her and rely on the perks to win.

Yikes. Watched the Bubba match. Saw a completely different match than you did, I'm afraid. Regardless of a player's reputation of being a good killer, if they don't actually play a good round, then yes they will probably lose.
Her add-ons were not good, her perks were not good. She lost every chase. She had no pressure even on a small map. Didn't look like she was concentrating, either. Was lucky to even have two people on the ground at the end, and a chance at a 2k.
I like Umbra's huntress. Haven't seen her play other killers, but objectively that Bubba game was a purple/green rank killer performance, with every survivor outplaying her. In that case, yes, the survivors should win.
Exactly, just because you might be a good killer in general does not mean you are entitled to win every game, especially when the survivors are good and are outpacing you.

Quote: "I cannot even fathom the mind set of people who main strong killers and still lose."
I'm not trying to sound rude here but if you faced decent survivors you would understand why some killers are acting like the game was heavily survivor sided.
Even 1 million hour streamers like Umbra get destroyed every now and then using strong killers like Bubba or Hillbilly.
Last time I watched her she literally got a 0k as Bubba on Shelter Woods (even though that map is still a one huge deadzone for the most part), then a 1k as Hillbilly one match afterwards.
http://www.twitch.tv/umbra/v/860647600?sr=a&t=17271s
Those are strong killers and Umbra is an elite level killer main. Also Hillbilly is her second main just behind Huntress and she's played a TON of Bubba since and before his rework so lack of experience isn't a factor here.
If survivors play well you WILL lose even when playing strong killers. Also if you check the lobby she had to wait for a while for 1 or 2 survivors to join so it wasn't even a 4man-SWF team or something. These were just good survivors.
But was she playing well? Just because you're a good killer doesn't mean you will play well every game and deserve to win every game, lets also not forget that at the end of the days she's a huntress main.

In a stream the devs said they nerfed Pop to 45 seconds because 60 seconds is too long and allows the killer do too much while still having Pop active
There is ONE killer and FOUR survivors and DS is still 60 seconds. Let that sink in.
They nuked moris to the point that it's literally just an animation, that's the only incentive to waste your offering slot. An animation. Meanwhile keys still haven't been touched. The list could go on but I'll spare you
And before someone replies telling me about how much more complicated a key nerf is, that's not even the issue here. This game is becoming survivor sided and that's why killer is becoming unfun, hence this post and many like it.
I just wish a dev would give some really good news to killers, something they want
So you complain about ds yet state that movie are useless now even though they negate half of ds's power and allow you to bypass so much time and sabo plays, wiggle off plays and many over factors.

It's not that killer is under powered or that survivor perks are too good compared to killer perks. And killer perks that were " shafted " ended up being really good when paired with other perks. The real issue isn't the killer being unfairly under equipped to deal with survivors. It's other issues such as certain maps being more survivor sided and gens being hard to defend under certain circumstances. Optimal survivors make it very hard for even veteran killers to win. The real problem is this toxic community and all of the advantages they have because of the way they play. And honestly I'm no better. I had a friend point it out to me when i jumped in a locker while my DS was still active to avoid being downed. The killer obviously can't afford to sit around and wait for my 60 seconds to go by before hooking me and moving onto another target. Camping spells doom for killers. It's very much a community related problem as to why killer is so over challenging and it will take some major outside of the box thinking for developers to address this issue properly. I definitely wouldn't jump on the buff killer and nerf survivor band wagon without addressing the real issue if I were them.

Depends on the quality of the survivor than it is being in a SWF or not. There were plenty of survivors I couldn't get back when. I'm sure with today's player base I would just be giving BHVR more statistics to nerf her more.
Best way to run a Nurse is thinking like one. At least it used to be. A friend of mine who still plays says all the Nurses she sees have that 4.2 m/s addon with 1 blink and play with Enduring and Spirit Fury. So the quality of Nurse mains seems to gone into a downward spiral.
That's a meme build, they don't do it intentially or to try and get wins.
-
I agree she needs her bugs fixed because sometimes they can be frustrating, but she's still a very fun and powerful killer to play. Ur trying to tell me that being able to literally ignore physics and map design which no other killer can do nearly as well is not fun?
-
Nah I mean this is one of the things that makes the game exciting when you first start, working out what things are and experiencing different things. We don't need to be holding new player's hands every step of the way.
-
I agree it doesn't really fit with the current game considering how strong it is in comparison to the other exhaustion perks, which were designed for old exhaustion. However i would still like it to maintain it's funcionality in being used to dodge swings, I just think the dead hard for distance part needs to be looked at cause it's pretty mindless.

You face my SWF group, you can pick ANY killer and any addons, any perks. Random map. We can do this maybe on monday? I'm curious to see the results
Oh you're actually challenging me to a 4v1? Don't think I won't accept that cause I will. Although I'm guessing ur EU or NA tho right?
Regardless i'd be down.

Like @Negi said, the fact that undying makes late game hexes more reliable and means that survivors HAVE to cleanse two totems still makes it a better choice over another hex in most circumstances. Good point though.

I'm just wondering why you keep arguing with me if killer was harder 2-3 years ago when it seems like you didn't even play back then? you don't remember old patches like changing recovering from 85 to 95% which happened like 1,5 or 2 years ago or so.
I've played since early 2018 so no. Why are you so bogged up over this one small 3 second recovery change thing and completely ignoring every over killer sided change that's every happened. It's like that 10% change makes the difference between you winning and loosing?

Like i said previously kill rates doesn't mean much as there are multiple factors. If you remove ability to quit on hook the statistics could be more accurate, but right now most survivors quit if match is not going in their favor.
I asked you previously why rank 1 survivor once had 80% escape ratio and you left the conversation?
Also back in 2016 kill ratios were still above 50% lol so it's hardly indicator of balance 😂😂
I'm interested in this 80% escape ratio because A) how long ago was it and B) the fact that you then said in the next line that kill rates were over 50% in 2016 makes no sense if escape rates were then also 80%.
And are you saying more people kill themselves on hook now than a year ago? I would beg to differ considering 5 blink omega nurse existed, moris were around and prayer beads was around.

Near enough the same, all the chases were way too short to get gens done and I was juggling too much they couldn't handle it
I havn't seen or experienced the game so I wouldn't know, maybe you were dominating them that much that you still would've won. However evne the fact that you talk about jugglign all game suggest that you are getting a tremendous amount of value off of ruin undying.
Also if you would have had the same result, why do you use ruin undying? I'm confident that I will have pretty similar results without the perk combo so i don't use it.
-

You have asked this same question over and over again. I've also answered it. Killer was easier 1 year ago yes, maybe not 2-3 years ago. Ruin nerf was major factor for it. Any small compensations buffs don't really cover it.
Because it's utter nonsense to suggest killer was easier a year ago, if it truly was why have kill rates continuously been going up?
Just because one perk, ruin, was nerf but then technically buffed again and made even stronger with undying does not suddenly make killer 10 times harder unless you were relying on crutch things such as those.
-
Because ruin undying slows the game FAR more than you think, it's because you don't have to actively use it which leads to misconceptions that it doesn't have great effects on game. So no the outcome would not have been the same.
However, I agree in that if ur a 4man and ur loosing to a killer that's not a 1trick nurse or spirit or an insanely sweaty killer there is definitely room for you to improve in, and complaining about the game is very hypocritical.

You can't deny that OoO is overall a crazy strong perk (even stronger in a SWF),that hurts a lot of killers in the game.
It is also very annoying and frustrating to go against. It definetely needs to be changed rather sooner than later.
Also,we had perks like dying light that were changed due to the unhealthy and frustrating gameplay this perk encouraged.
That's a good point with dying light.
Look i do think it needs to be changed it just annoys me that people will jump to all sorts of "ahhh games survivor sided" conclusions just because they didnt get the exact changes they wanted. It's like how people try to compare ds with undying and say they are on the "same level" when quite clearly undying has a much greater effect on ur average game than ds.
-

Mediocre killers? I didn't even think about using those perks as rank 1 killer... Sounds like the only ones with this problem are "mediocre" survivors to use your own words, like lmao totems take 14seconds to be cleansed....
Of course a green rank survivor complains cause he doesn't bother learning where totems are(real easy to find even without det hunch perk that was in store last week) and another killer nerf, I can't wait till day game dies cause killers ability to interact is removed from them and survivors get an ability to kill killers xD

the devs have specifically stated it is NOT an Anti-Tunneling perk... they have not classified it in ANY WAY! this classification was added by the players and no one seems to even want to acknowledge that the perk is being talked about in two ways, one way by the devs internally and omitted externally and the other is the players who will put words in the devs' mouth in order to try to make a point. it can be changed in any way the devs see fit but not the way the players see fit.
HOWEVER given that: it has been left in it's combo and broken state far longer than undying's combo. here is the key to look at undying NEEDS another perk in order to fully work, DS does not. so if you were to put DS and compare it to undying in it's utility DS wins hands down. Pair it with a perk say ruin then undying becomes an annoying thing that only affects killers that can keep heavy gen pressure (since ruin does not affect while working on a gen. DS how ever when paired with UB/Soul Guard/No Mither (yes even this) means that it is fully 1 minute of invincibility! period end of statement. Undying can not be weaponized, how ever DS can. I do not believe hell refuse to believe that the devs INTENDED (and they say that it was only indended to let the survivor get away) to let a survivor get unhooked, then run body blocking for their other friend and then get into a locker to FORCE the DS stun. this is why it is showing the dev's survivor sided view point. and why I will not be anytime soon purchasing anyoutfits, aurec cells or even using iri shards till I see this change. I am a 50/50 survivor-killer player and I am not happy with the bias here. I will buy the rift's battle pass because i don't do that till i hit 70 as I will get the same cells back and did not spend anything new. but i'm not going to spend my iri shards for outfits, because my time is valuable and thus is currency. i probably won't buy any with the current cells i have because i did spend good money to get those that I have. just really don't care I won't be telling anyone else to get the game or if i do i will tell them my point of view and let them decide as i can't stop them from buying how ever I will do my best to minimize what people I know pay out to get the game. I'm so over this.
Whatever the devs have said, it is the only perk stopping killers from tunneling with free reign whenever they decide they want easy games or when they are loosing to secure the win.
As much as people will say ds unbreakable is broken, it's not. There's a difference between a perk combo being "broken" and a perk combo having unwanted side effects, which is the case with ds. At the end of the day majority of ds's use is stopping tunneling, the unwanted side effect however is that sometimes killers will be hit by a ds even when they've hooked someone else and then gone and chased the ds survivor and downed them within 60 seconds.
That doesn't make the perk broken however because the amount of times it even comes into play in this inwanted scenario is very little. That is incredibly different to that of ruin undying ALWAYS coming into play whenever it is used, regardless of whether it is taken out early or not. Don't you remember old DS? THAT was an example of a broken perk because it is something which would practically stop you from getting hooks you deserved and force you to play incredibly differently. At the end of the day yes i agree i think ds needs to be looked at but does it need to be looked at as urgently as some other things in the game like undying? No. Why? Because the amount of times it's unwanted effects actually become a game changer are quite limited and there are always ways to play around it.

Like I said, nobody is making the point to remove tbagging. We're just appalled that a developer treats tbagging so casually. I've asked for them to denounce the practice. Instead, they've just encouraged it with that statement. That's the point we're trying to explain.
A) They never said tbagging the killer was casual, tbagging has far more purposes than just "bming the killer"
B) What does it matter? I mean seriously if a dev said hitting surivors on hook is casual would you go out and complain about that?

It has nothing to do with egos. It has to do with not wanting someone to be a piece of ######### to us for no good reason.
Ur trying to say though that something which has NO impact on the game and ONLY changes the way somethign looks should be removed? Meanwhile there are genuine issues with people affecting gameplay through toxic behaviour such as bleeding people out and forcing people out of games, hiding forever and holding games hostages, but the real issue is someone peforming a crouch animation repeatedly, which does nothing but stir up moody killers?
-
I'm interested to see as to whether if someone goes second stage if they will have a 2 hook counter or a 1 still
-
DS is going to need a very thorough change that still allows it to perform it's job as an antitunneling perk, taking away it's anti-tunneling effect even for a week or two would lead to chaos in the amount of killers tunneling survivors off hook like there's no tomorrow.
Undying on the other hand affected far more games and was actualyl a huge gamechanger for killers who didnt deserve to win and was a far more easy perk to change.
-
I can't believe people are going to this extreme lengths to find things to criticise about this midchapter. OH NO survivors can press a crouch button still and do an animation which upsets me! games unplayable.
-
SAME, I think clown change is very very interesting, perk changes are all good but the hud and new survivor animations look awful, they look like mobile quality.
-
I actually love this idea for a clown change, will allow for more skill and strategic placement with bottles for a better reward and make playing against him really interesting actually.

I just don't see how people enjoy maining the twins. Sure they are cool themewise and the concept of playing two characters is definitely cool but after a couple of games i found them incredibly boring because the only way to do well with them is either hit and run like theres no tomorrow or camp and slug the hell out of ppl, which is boring for both sides.

Tbh I would swap thrill of the hunt's extra effect and undying's extra effect; in regards to the aura and notification noise.
This gives survivors the ability to fake it out; and more time if they decide to cleanse thus nerfing the one most oppressive part of undying while leaving it's core function in tact- and simultaneously buffing thrill of the hunt which sorely needs it.
Undying serves a purpose the game really did need; letting you make a perk like ruin actually reliable instead of often gone in the first 30 seconds of the match. I don't believe that aspect should be meddled with.
The whole point of hexes though is that you're meant to be taking a gamble with them. Ur not taking a game with ruin undying if its guaranteed to apply insane pressure everygame.

A) Happens just as much with killers bleeding people out and slugging/camping at 5gens etc so its not a survivor culture problem, its a problem with the playerbase in general
B) Sometimes killers will fake giving up and open the doors with NOED & Bloodwarden, so if i can help it i'd rather not go out the gate where the killer is at.

It can have some minimal benefits at best but no I don't think it's cheating because many people are forced to play in it due to their monitors and it doesn't change how good a player is.
