  • I use her kit as a weird mind-game. She has two add-ons I completely forgot the names of that +5% hinder the survivors but gives her like +2% movement speed or something. I use her as a form of area denial.

Here is how she can curbstomp Most super annoying tile sets, (I’ll use the house in Haddonfield as my explanation) don’t put her drones over gens, use them in awkward places that can fundamentally force survivors into the open. My strategy is Myers House, Basement House, and far left Corner past the Myers house. Just by putting your drones in those locations you can either force survivors away from those gyms or force them to be exposed. The add-ons help with the chase and the undetectable effect she gets will causes survivors to usually go for the closest vault to you. Always having one to deny pallet loops is also useful, it’s a faster version of how you scare people away as trapper.

They should rework hatch challenges ever since the way they changed the hatch people throw the game more for them

I Remember when hatch only opened if one gen was left.

  • Tool boxes are an issue because killers got their gen regression perks nerfed and now gotta deal with at least two people a match bringing either a very long and speedy toolbox or BNP.

I Know Blights add-ons Are an issue but he has a learning curve of a right angle. If they touch his add-ons too harshly (like they do with most killers nerfs) he will be useless. Making something useless isn’t the goal when nerfing, it’s creating balance with most other things.

If they were to touch toolbox’s I’d like it to be BNP nerfs or changes and perhaps a look at how many charges some of them have.

  • Doctor has a good set-up for add-ons. His actual shock ones are bad.

    But Wrath is Good

  • I know they changed it like a few years ago with her add-on pass. What exactly is happening? In your own words how does it feel?

  • I Remember someone called me a few names after a match a year ago. Saying I was terrible and how I was the worst killer ever.

I messaged “yo I was the Nea”

I got a lot of sorrys and invited to a four man.

Curious how some people seem to have match after match of harassment. Think I've had maybe 5-6 in my entire DBD experience since 2016. Not saying it doesn't happen, just weird to see posts make it seem like it's every match.

I get it weekly. Today must be special because it was constant.

I’ll probably just buy him. Somehow I have 2.7 mil BP for him. So I’ll leave him then probably take a month off.

  • Probably dealing with SWFs who can tell you the pixel count of the generators exact layout.

I always feel like each game needs 20 to 24 gen spots to spread the 8 gens. Do survivors can’t just instantly know where half of them are. Same with pallets.

  • Is it a forever buff or an exhaustion perk?

  • I Hope this means they’ll look at his add-ons instead. Since most of them are top tier garbage including his Iridescents.

Why is it always that if Killers behave like ######### that someone comes up with an explanation that it must have been the fault of the Survivors before?

Like, Killers are the pure souls of this game, it is not possible that one of them is acting like this on their own. Meanwhile, Survivors are evil.

I Never Said it was the survivors fault. Bad matches could be Because of multiple factors. Bad maps, God Tier SWF (not blaming them), regular game frustration. I know the moment I get sent to any Preschool map I’m instantly in a bad mood.

I was more pointing out Most killers don’t do this right out, usually they start to turn to these things after “Failing” their objectives the past few games.

I also had bad matches though. The only game I cracked was owhen I had two Jakes doing nothing all game but crouching and doing flashlight saves, that I tried to kill myself on hook and they wouldn't let me so I DC'd cause they would unhook spam me.

Should I also start tea-bagging at killers for the ones who have behaved in the same manner and do it to baby killers?

Truly? No, but as long as you try your best and do the most you can then you’re better than most bming killers and survivors. Usually if I had some bad matches I switch to PH to cool off

  • @JustAnotherNewbie said:

I played way too many games today, but I was surprised at how much bming I had to witness today.

From Huntress hitting me on hook for some weird reason, to getting hit on hook and facecamped by Demogorgon at 4 gens (go figure) to Ghostface bleeding me out with another survivor.

What is wrong with you today killers(you know who)? It's only Wednesday.

Just needed to vent. I don't find it common for killers to hit me continuously on hook, but what do you know, it happened at least twice today. Send help, I'm losing my mind (survivors have been questionable too).

To be honest? Probably just bad matches before they met you. I know when I get hit with three or more bad matches I will turn into the biggest ######### sometimes.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/377607/i-know-we-talked-about-gate-regression-before-but-it-should-be-brought-up-again

So, you're premise is incomplete. Survivors don't 99 gates to solely get a save. A large part of the reason that gates are 99ed is to combat the possibility of Blood Warden being in play.

In general, I don't think every mechanic in DBD needs to have a regression mechanic. (Could you just imagine a hook regression where by perk or regular game play, a Survivor can recover a hook state? Yikes.) The time after the gens are powered is supposed to be somewhat 'high adrenaline' for Killers and Survivors. Adding regression to it only tilts things more in Killer's favor than they already are. As a result, if such a thing were to be added, it would need far more justification than "survivors can sometimes secure a save without it".

Killers can also chase a surv away from the switch and there's a sizeable number of Killer's that force survs to stay off the gate switch. A mechanic like this would only increase the already significant ability of Killers to apply pressure after the gens are done.

My idea is specifically made to be against SWFs and to add more danger to the End Game before the collapse, but I’ll respond to each point you made.

Hook State Regression is Bad like you Said, but there are ways to slow or stop the hook states. Reinsurance being a popular one. Alongside Breakdown that stops the hook from being used for a time.

Tilting it in the Killers favor is slightly the point, it’s to add more danger to the survivors so they are forced to open it as soon as possible. No more waiting for saves for a whole minute or trying to gain a few extra points. This is the end game.

There are 2 switches and for the full regression all 4 must be alive. This isn’t a harsh punishment for doing good, this is a warning to open the door before it’s too late.

Pressure should always be there, just because you finished the gens doesn’t mean you won. You need to get out and hope you don’t get caught before the door is open.

I happen to play with a lot of lower tier killers (because many of the strong ones are abhorrently boring to play imo) and usually play in a way that I would want a killer to play. Game after game for the past few days has felt so awful. But as of late, it feels like no matter what killer I play, no matter what style of play I do, it doesn't matter. I've been averaging less than 1 kill a game within the last week. I usually don't camp, tunnel, NOED, use strong addons, or "hit and run" style builds. Every time I get the first down, there's already 3+ generators complete, and I feel like I can't keep up in the slightest.

I have a lot of gametime under my belt but every situation just fails and I end up either giving up or just disconnecting because the survivors outplayed me tenfold, and I did everything I could.

I'm afraid to even touch some killers now because their MMR has been raised to the point where I can't play them without having my ######### pushed in.

What the hell do I do?

I know the feeling, I can’t run fun builds anymore because gens fly like kites in a hurricane, but I found a way to make it fun. Pick your favorite killer and just put on everything that sounds like it could be fun. Then try to communicate with a survivor. They can become your friend while you do things like chase through weird areas or if you want to explore and find things like chests or Totems.

    @HugTheHag said:

Do a string of friendly games. Be active enough to not be reported as plain afk-ing, but don't kill anyone.

That should bring you back to an mmr you can have fun at.

Whenever there's a recent nerf to one side or the other (in this case, nerf to regression + HUD I would guess), mmr has to reevaluate where you belong under those new circonstances. It's normal that you would have a time needed to adapt.

If your objective is just to have fun and not to win, you will for sure eventually find a spot in mmr where you can.

I've been playing very relaxed for a while, giving hatch and sometimes having full on friendly games (which I happen to enjoy), and my mmr is staying at a level where games are very manageable for me if I give a little effort, generally as Legion, Hag, Ghostface and sometimes Nemesis.

    I love your name.

....there's no shot you're getting 4-mans in every other game.

I did say 3’s and 4’s. In the last ten games I’ve had about 2 4-mans, 5 3-mans, and a mix of 2-mans and SoloQ for the final 3. The majority of the time it is a team bigger than two that can communicate. I’d love to get more 2 teams of 2. Divide and conquer.

  • Oof, personally as a killer I don’t fully like that map too. A lot of annoying areas and corners. They could make the mines from Downpour or something however

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

If you want the pressure of EGC, open the Gate yourself. The topic of 99ing gates came up so often and the discussion is always the same. On top of that the Devs already confirmed that they thought about it, but decided against it.

They think about a lot and say no but then change their minds. Also their original plan was just straight regression, my idea was more situational regression so it’s not hard on smaller groups.

Opening it doesn’t change the fact that it can be 99’d without any sort of counter play. Even with Remember Me and No Way Out you can’t stop a 99. It also doesn’t let another good End Game perk Blood Warden activate Because you can just 99 the door and wander off. My idea forced someone to either open it over constantly be on it.

I go against a lot of SWFs of 3 and 4. So I see it every other game. It drives me a little batty when you tried your best against a sweat squad.

pop is getting a massive buff, and if you want a reason to kick gens nowhere to hide is right there.

I actually like NWH but I’m more focusing on the fact that slowdown perks don’t have to be like old old Ruin or Pop. When’s the last time you used Dragons Grip or any other perk of that ilk? We could have more variety of perks that help slowdown the game. Hinder perks, exposed, screaming, and even damaging perks. Not everything should be gen regression.

  • @Pulsar said:

You started off talking about QoL for players that may be hard of hearing or have motion sickness and then devolved into a rant about gen speeds.

I do think there should be an FoV slider and probably a limit to how many loud noise notifications can occur. I'd also add proper controller settings.

And for the love of everything holy, get rid of the stupid hook bubbles. Nobody likes them.

I’m very passionate about how dumb I can be. But it’s been on my mind for a bit and needed to rant. I’m just trying to figure out why killers never get huge QOL changes while survivors seem to get them every few months.

BHVR does something like nerfing gen kicking builds, fair enough pure gen kicking was annoying with some killers. But they don’t buff some of their lesser used chase or defense perks. Making it a Harder nerf than is needed. A simple QOL would be a Killer Perk update to the lesser 50% used perks.

Killers have been asking for a rework for hexes for years now. Considering how easy it is to destroy one or boon one, but they don’t talk about it.

It just feels like they do things for survivors without thinking about the next step a lot of the time. Kinda like the Basekit unbreaking they talked about last year. It sounds good on paper but in practice would’ve ruined the games central core. (I know slugging is an issue but could you effectively down three people and chase the forth and still have enough time to hook one of them before 45 seconds?) I agree slugging needs to be looked at but that was just not going to help. It would just make killers not want to play.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/377492/after-the-camping-meter-is-added-sprint-burst-will-be-an-undeniable-top-1-3-survivor-perk

Only until people quickly realize that this won’t change a thing against killers who want to face camp. The hook timer isn’t going slower. They can still wait right there and if you unhook, down you again.

They did say you get full enjoyment of the off hook boosts though. So that’s speed and Endurance. Not counting the off hook smack speed and body phasing. Perhaps a very good camping bubba or Oni could catch them but it’s just highly dependent on the hook location. I’m just worried this will be a abused one way or another

  • I think they need to do a huge rework of slowdown perks so they are effective but fair. A lot of them now are completely useless due to how little they regress nowadays and the constant use of speed up perks. I personally think they need to invest more into the forgotten slowdown perks so there is more variety. Like Dragons Grip

  • This is the Torment buff right? I think it’s fine and people should stop complaining about it. PH is just really good at dealing with Survivors base instincts of running to pallets and dancing around them. They just gotta learn to be more mobile and indirect with their movement.

  • I’m liking the ideas. Seems most people agree that the best perks shouldn’t be grouped together

  • Could be a super odd collision bug. Hitting the corner shot her up through the building. Kinda like the swing sets in GTA 4 that sent cars into space.

  • I’m liking all the suggestions

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/377283/buffing-the-old-killer-guard

Trapper: He needs a complete rework, maybe adding some different type of trap. For example, maybe give him the ability to put barbed wire on windows to slow down survivors when vaulting windows. Maybe, since if I remember correctly the Trapper is a miner in his lore, he could use dynamite to break walls and pallets "from a distance", also damaging nearby survivors.

Wraith: he's not bad as a killer, also considering the very strong add-ons he has. I would only add the ability to ambush, quickly ringing the bell and dashing forward like the Demogorgon and, if he hits a surv, deep wound.

Billy: Bring back original Billy. That's enough, no need to invent complicated or strange stuff.

Hag: She needs a complete rework. Her power isn't efficient anymore. I haven't seen a hag since they put the unique chase and tr music on her.

Myers: He's not that bad at the moment, I would improve his stealth skills in general a bit, so he can surprise survivors more easily.

Huntress: I think she's already perfect the way she is. She is one of the strongest killers when used well, there are people who are scary when using the Huntress. If I really had to add something, I would give you the possibility to throw two hatchets together and, if she hits a surv, she sends him into dying state

Doctor (I think you forgot him): He has a cool design, but his power is very limited. First, I'd make the Doctor's illusions more believable by having them chase after the survivors and if they hit them, they'll scream, increasing the madness by one stage. Also, I would put more types of illusions. For example, even fake lockers, which if a surv tries to hide inside he/she remains visible and is signaled to the killer with instinct

Freddy: I will add both dream snare and fake pallets, so he can switch between them like Clown does with the yellow and pink bottles. Also, add something that allows him to move more easily within the dream, maybe use your idea of the Wraith on Freddy.

I left Doctor out Because I Personally don’t think he needs a big buff or rework. I do agree his illusions could be better however.

  • It comes with the territory I’m afraid. It’s why pc survivors are more annoying than console. They can break their ankles every turn with esse while console survivors need to master geometry and learn about the curvature of the human thumb.

Personally I was given amazing advice on YouTube about those killers. “If the survivor is dodging and weaving just wait for them to weave in front of you. It becomes a 50/50 hit instead of a 10/50 hit”

  • Doc is one of my favorites and I don’t fully think he needs a buff or rework. Bubba currently is in a weird spot due to how his player base is split so I didn’t want to bring him up.

  • When she has no hatchets? Yes.

  • I agree with you. I feel like pallets should be reduced but like 15 - 20 percent and need to be highly randomized. Make it so you gotta guess where the best loop is. I also truly think shack should have a small area around it where pallets don’t spawn. Having shack with pallets on either side makes shack a perfect god sized loop.

Impossible to say without any information about the game.

Ideally a video, so we can see an actual match timer, play style, perks, and strategy. Even an end game screenshot would be more information than what we have now.

I was very angry at the end of it so I exited the game on the screen. I remember one of them was a twitch streamer though. BlavkForrestRunner or something? I tried to find them for a accurate timeline

  • @ieatswf said:

Billy just needs his addons and the overheat mechanic reverted. It was a dumb idea then and it's still a dumb idea now.

Myers should tier up in the same way Nemesis does in my opinion. That being he stays at tier 3 the entire game. However instead of instadown survivors, it should just give him base enduring, base brutal strength or spirit fury, not both but the spirit fury idea comes from what we've seen with the Singularity. He should also gain his instadown in a similar way to ghostface through stalking survivors. However, when he gets his instadown, all survivors are exposed for a duration. He should also have unlimited stalk.

Trapper literally needs whatever he can get literally. However I don't believe his power is mainly the problem, it is instead the maps. The new thinner grass is terrible for trapper.

Freddy should have both dream snares and pallets at base kit and should be able to switch between them like clowns bottles. I also think freddy should have to manually make survivors fall asleep again but not the insane 7 second duration like before but 1.5 seconds. This makes freddy feel more unique and not just a basic boring killer. His addons were slaughtered and need reworked. Survivors should only be able to wake up by clocks but the interaction should be a lot longer to make it a threat and not an inconvenience.

Maps just need to be more friendly to Huntress but the iri addon being base helps.

Hag would greatly benefit from a haste affect after teleporting.

I don't think Wraith needs a buff. He's perfectly fine in my opinion or at least, other killers have a priority.

One killer I believe should have priority over Wraith is Twins. Mainly I think the cooldowns they suffer from are far too long.

Don’t get me started on the Twins. I think they need a top to bottom rework

They took it out because of the climbing glitch right? They need to fix that already so you can get your perk back.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

I mean if you are not at low mmr, survivors won't miss skill check anyway. So what's different?

We don't know about anti-face camp system yet. But devs said if another survivor in range, progress will be so slow and they won't get value. Let's wait and see first how system will work.

Last year killers got a lot buffs and QoL changes tho. It's understandable they are focusing on weak side more right now (solo-q). But they did not announce all of upcoming changes in anniversary stream. So there will be more changes for killers as well.

I’m just worried because they seem to always leave in op survivor buffs or bugs for months or years. Yet killers get the hammer within days or just a few weeks. So if the survivor bots or antiface hooks do come out to be very strong or worse broken, how long will they take to fix of balance them? I’ve been playing since 2017, my trust in timely action from the devs got destroyed in 2020.

  • How long would the broken effect last?

  • I hate what they did. Useless information is bad information.

For the survivors who seem to not understand how redundant the information is let me put it in a scenario you can understand.

This is the equivalent of finishing a gen, and getting the auras of crows. It’s not helping you. You have more pressing issues at that moment. Like finding a gen, finding someone to heal, even getting to the gates.

That’s how it feels to be given auras when you cant act on them without abandoning your objective. Which you just spent time to do. This isn’t like FOR or BBQ, where you are free to act on the information. This is forced information at a inopportune time. Like seeing the killers aura as the Mori you.

  • @Viciusaurus said:

I would love it if it were unrestricted. It encourages chase and synergies well with existing chase builds.

Hypothetically that would work but I'm not sure it would be worth the time investment as they'd probably just leave the loop immediately after you activate the drone. If shack had basement and a gen then yeah I could see it being worth it.

I personally love using them on Gens that are hard to patrol. Like DDS’s balcony or the Top floor of Pren.
