Like Nurse he only needed an add-on pass. And know Nurse and Hillbilly are harder for newer players. As well some pretty bad add-ons Nurse has two add-ons that make her power worse. And Hillbilly has some unecessary stealth add-ons.

I actually I always felt very annoying that he could keep that chainsaw 99 for forever if he wanted to. So I'm very ok this was put in check.
And I don't know... I know you guys wanted things to be balanced considering good survivors, but I don't know how many are good (?). I consider myself very mediocre as both killer and survivor. So if the average isn't that good, I think this should be put into account too.
I think Billy is harder to play now. When I played him before the changes I didn't think he was that hard to use and even managed to get some chainsaws (no, nothing close to those 7 in a single match they wanted after the changes hahaha). I always use the turn add ons, but... While in some maps it may be hard to navigate him, I think way too many was quite easy... even to bait the loop in order to get the chainsaw hit.
I never been to red ranks as killer (got to purple as max) and try not to be red as survivor, but I always thought that the no cooldown was just too much on open maps or with poor loops, that is getting more and more common.
And before anyone tell me to get good (hahaha yeah, maybe one day I'll get there, who knows), the game is supposed to be fun too while you're at it. So... yeah, I like the overheat in favor of us mediocre players.
On the other hand they're balancing maps to favor other killers too, so let's see.
Not gonna lie I think they made his hitbox smaller.
-
Behavior failed with Billy. It was the add-ons not Billy's base which needs to be changed. The devs failed to realize the best way to get more killers played was to make them better. Not make good ones worse. And they won't revert Billy because they don't want to seem pushed around. He's still good however. Same with Nurse. But they made them much harder for newer players.
-
Survivor mains don't want to lose the 60 seconds of immunity and never play killer. Although the first change you said above sounds great
-
Freddy's base is fine the problem is how perks take him from fine to devastating. Such Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer or BBQ and PGTW.
-
This map sucks. They could've at least put a hill in it. And while every killer can win on it. It can be a drag for the ones with a lack of mobility. Feel like they need to do something with the tree in the middle.

Nah, I prefer “always on” style aura perks. For all intents and purposes Visionary is almost always on. On a map like Gideon, Lery’s, Hawkins, Midwich, I want to see where gens are right from the very start, and be planning the very next gen I’m going to while I’m repairing that first generator.
Sorry I just have a terrible illness of NOEDophobia.
-
I'd put Detectives in for Visionary but that's just me.
-
Can you give us hints of what's coming next chapter?
-
Don't want to find the totem. Because they can't find totems easily. This was made by a Detectives Hunch gamer. Cleansing Ruin+Undying and every other Hex since day 1.
-
Just wait for the next chapter.

Franklins makes the survivor drop their item. After some time the item disappears.
Hope this helps! 🤗
I know that but she's a killer with an active M2

At least disturbed ward is better.

I would be frustrated with this add-on. But he's Wraith.

A killer sweating profusely to finish the objective as quickly as possible.
If a killer is able to down someone, return and tunnel the previous person all within a minute, that killer can be slowed down without remorse. No different than killers loaded down to the gills with PGTW, Tinkerer, Ruin, Undying, and completely stalling the game.
Well PGTW and Undying didn't last long.
-
@Sluzzy said:
It's already been heavily nerfed five times. A decisive strike should not be on a timer and it should not be decided by the killer. It was already overnerfed.
Do you play killer much? And do you run DS+UB?
-
Old Hillbilly. Although Billy is still good the nerf was unecessary and the devs overreacted. Would like to see old balanced once all maps especially Haddonfield are redone.

Im unfamiliar with spirit. So I take back what I said. If she is slower without her power then she is an M2 killer.
Spirit, Hag, Huntress, and Deathslinger are 4.4 meters per second.

You are using a different definition of m1 killer.
M1 attack is not what makes them an m1 killer.
"You think that because they need their secondary ability that warrants them an M2. Stop twisting definitions."
It is not twisting definitions. It is the definition the community uses at large. You are coming into the game and applying it in a literal sense which is not how people use it in reference.
They are M1S who come with a secondary ability. M2 is if they have an M2 attack.

Surge procs off m1 attacks. I never said they didn't do m1 attacks, I said they weren't m1 killers. Those are not the same thing.
You keep referencing the same point that they literally hit with an m1 attack. That is not what I'm saying. The fact that they hit with an m1 attack is not what determines if they are an m1 killer.
The m1 spectrum of killers is a category that shows how they go about downing players (IE the process), not whether or not they literally hit someone with an m1 attack.
Yes and every down they do is with an M1 attack. And that is what makes them M1s. And they come with a secondary ability that doesn't do damage. M1 is literally if they can only attack with an M1. You think that because they need their secondary ability that warrants them an M2. Stop twisting definitions And accept the facts.
-
@EvilJoshy said:
Id say Nurse and Hag are M2 because they are slow. They need to use their power to be able to catch people. Spirit on the other hand is M1 because she can down people without her power. Her power just makes it easier. Nurse+Hags power is required.
But a Spirit without her power is the same as a Hag without her power. 24 meter terror radius. 4.4 meters per second. And every down they get will trigger Surge. Every hit they do will lose or gain stacks of STBFL. Only M1s will do that.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884490#Comment_1884490
You are misunderstanding the entire point.
I already told you above that Wraith was an m1 killer because he is still 115% movespeed and does not require stealth to get a hit. Nurse is not 115% movespeed, IE she does need her blinks to get the hit. You are comparing apples and oranges.
Whatever they're are M1s cause they only have a basic attack. How come when ever they down someone Surge will proc they're M1S. How come everytime they hit some they'll gain or loose stacks STBFL. That's the facts that prove they're M1s.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884466#Comment_1884466
That is not how the community at large is using the term when referencing m1 killers.
M1 is still killer with only M1S besides you I've never heard someone say Nurse is an M2. Should we say Wraith is M2 because he needs stealth to get around and move. No and the same with Nurse.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884445#Comment_1884445
You're using M1 in a literally sense, the community uses it in a figurative sense.
M2 killer is not a killer that literally damages with their m2.
I've already repeated myself on this multiple times here.
M1 killer is a killer that can down a survivor without needing to use their secondary power. M2 killers require use of their power to get the down. That does not mean their power is literally what is doing the damage (IE Nurse blink).
IE Nurse has to use her blink for a hit. She is not just running you down to hit you without ever using her power.
No a M1 killer is a killer that can only do damage with a basic attack. It is in the literal sense.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884360#Comment_1884360
That's not how most people use the term m1.
There's a difference between doing an m1 hit and being an m1 killer. Those are 2 very different things.
An M2 killer is a killer with a secondary option to cause damage. What is Nurse's secondary option to cause damage. What is Spirit's? What is Hag's? They are M1s with abilities to help get around.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884339#Comment_1884339
M1 isn't determined by if you can damage them from a source other than M1. IE whether he can damage with his traps or not is irrelevant by the definition we're using of M1.
No it based off if the killer has a secondary damage option Otzdarva shows this Trapper is M2 but Nurse, Spirit, and Hag are M1s.
-
@Blueberry said:
M1 is meaning they don't need to use their power in the process of downing.
IE those are not m1 because they are not running you down at slower than normal killer speed to hit you unless you're playing really badly. They are required to use their ability to get a hit.
M1 killers are those such as Clown, Trapper, Wraith, Legion etc.
Their powers can aide them in hits but it is not required to down. They are all full move speed and can just run you down for a hit.
This is to say that typically movespeed is dictating what is and isn't an m1 killer in the long run.
Trapper isn't M1 he can use his Traps to cause damage.

I really don't want to get into an ego contest of comparing our experience and time in the game as that isn't going to go anywhere but I'm probably in the 1% of population in play time and forum time and what your saying just isn't true. That is not what the community thinks.
Fine say what you want I still believe they're M1s.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884269#Comment_1884269
That isn't how 99% of this community uses the phrase m1 killer. This is just common jargon of this community that has been around for years and how it is understood when people say m1 killer.
M1 killer doesn't imply that they don't have a secondary attack. That's not how people are using it.
Ask anyone they're M1 killers ask anyone and they'll say that. They don't have a secondary attack option which means yes they have an M2 ability. But the community describes M1 as a killer without an M2 attack.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884258#Comment_1884258
You're using those powers for more than just moving around. That isn't what we're referencing.
They are still M1S on the basis they don't have a secondary attack option. Even Otzdarva explains this.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884243#Comment_1884243
Freddy is the only good m1 killer.
M1 killer in this community is described as not needing their powers to down.
Nurse, Hag and Spirit are all slower than normal killer movespeed. IE they are designed to require their power to get a hit.
M1 is not meant by the fact that you literal click your m1 button to hit.
You could make an argument for Billy if you want but Billy is a little more nuanced.
Using your power to move or get places doesn't warrant an M2. M2 is if you have a secondary attack option Nurse, Spirit, and Hag can only have one way to attack.
-
@Blueberry said:
People I don't know how knew y'all are but Nurse, Spirit and Hag aren't considered m1 killers.
"Weakest killers according to you, Nurse, Hag, Spirit."
And that is not what I said, at all.
According to the description they're M1 killers. And you said Freddy was the only good M1.
-

The weakest killers in the game are the M1 killers. Freddy is the only exception to this.
Nurse, Spirit, and Hag? Weakest killers?

Why is it such a killer crutch? Just take it away for a patch cycle. See what happens. Sure there will be grief campers who will get gen down. Sorry but seems like a very viable perk. Hook one, know where others are. The bonus points claim is flimsy. It’s discussed a lot and it sure as heck shows up a LOT....
And by the way Get Good.

wouldn't you prefer a system that didn't force you to waste BP on those kinds of things
Yes but I'd be fine with them if they were useful.
-
I myself am cool with the blood web. The biggest problem is the worthless amount of things most perks being underwhelming, luck offerings ,and mist offerings.
-
With new Undying Devour Hope will be good. Take out Enduring since people will pre drop pallets when facing clown so you won't get much out of it. But Brutal is good to burn through the pallets so put PGTW or Surge in place of Enduring.
-
@Trashmaster said:
Making surge work on special attacks is just a direct buff for A tier killers while the perk is just as bad for most m1 killers.
So yea the basic attack requirement better stay though the effect could be buffed or the cooldown cut a bit
Nurse, Hag, Spirit, and Freddy?
-
Surge should lose the basic attack requirement. This perk would definitely be better if it loss the unecessary basic attack requirement. Which is very odd considering it came from a killer with an M2. This is sad cause I think Surge is a good perk but I usually play Billy so it's basically worthless for me. It wouldn't be hard to say except on deep wound or Honing stone.
-
They just haven't felt like changing it. Likely because it isn't a game breaking issue.

I swear you are absolutely oblivious to the grind which is why killers even ones that can't use it efficiently like Trapper or Plague run BBQ for the Blood points. You haven't responded to my evidence showing BBQ isn't OP. Must've realized you're wrong. And sorry you aren't good enough to somehow do the 4 counters to BBQ. By your logic we need to take away Decisive Strike because it's used so much.
-
Yeah it sounds good.
-
You should just bring green keys to have them waste a perk slot.
-
@scottymo said:
If it’s “not op” (PFT!) Why is it used so much?!?!?! The advantage is assume it’s in use. When someone gets picked up, scurry for a locker or try to position behind a gen.
Sorry but if you can't somehow do one of the 4 counters you're not good. Generators are your primary objective can't be hard to be near one. Lockers are around loops and the main building. Often where gens are. Walk one way for 4 seconds then guess what turn around. Or get within 40 meters which is a large portion of the map.

That’s 4 seconds x 11 (max number of hooks before 4K). You can take the risk and not hide, but it still gives information to the killer. The point of it being OP is most killers use it, it is used for aura reading either to point out the next target or give at minimum good info and gives double bp. I play trapper a lot with bbq and I find it quite useful to find my next target. Killers should at least be honest that it’s used for more than the bp. That’s all. I don’t think anything you say will convince me it’s not so let’s leave it at that.
You're playing Trapper wrong if you're going after people with BBQ. It being a popular perk doesn't mean it's OP. Then according to you we need to nerf Iron Will because it's popular. And you can't tell me you can't do one of the four counters. And stop acting like every killer is a nightmare with BBQ.
-
That title actually had me for a moment considering I made a whole post on how it's not OP.
-
Personally I have no clue. Probably has to do with the weird power description
-
They should It's just when. They aren't looking into any huge changes for those characters so it might be a while. Ghostface maybe licensing. But I feel like Plague and Legion don't need a huge rework so they might wait for a tweak or something.

BBQ is a crutch, Keys are fine.
That guy definitely doesn't play killer.
-
If you're gonna play Legion you'll need one of these two perks or both if you want. Thanatophobia and Blood Echo both good for Legion and Plague they're good since they can injure people easily. You need them because if you don't survivors won't heal not wasting their time healing instead just rush gens. These perks will make them by two things. Thanatophobia for each injured survivor gens will slow by 5 percent all survivors injured. This will make them heal so gens don't go slow. Blood Echo when any survivor is injured and you hook someone they'll be exhausted for 45 seconds. With SB and DH being common for survivors they'll heal so they don't lose them.
