  • If you guys know there is this kind of bug then maybe someone should report it to the Betahub bug reports so devs get to fix it. They can't fix something they don't know about and if you can provide reliable way to reproduce it and the logs of match where you did would make it way easier to get fixed. Talking about it on the forum will not really provide the info and it can take way longer to get to the devs ear this way.

  • By my data you might get the same map every four matches you play. Still latest matches I have not got same map until there has been four other maps between and even then its been really rare to get one even then. Still I do agree that Toba and Nostromo have currently clearly higher chance of appearing.

Still people will think they are even more frequent because if you don't like something you will remember it more easily.

  • If you cheat there is no point to use money on the game as you risk losing it and if you try to say they have to buy the game again none of that money goes to Behavior as they buy one of those free accounts with free copy of the game that are made every time game is given out for free in any platform. Epic is very common place for this.

I'm not surprised. Cheaters also spend money on the game just like non-cheaters, and banning people means less revenue for BHVR. They're making a business decision here - they're better that they lose fewer players (and less revenue) by allowing cheaters to run rampant than they would by more strictly banning cheaters. This won't change until more people leave the game due to the cheating issue.

Cheaters don't have to waste any money they can get everything unlocked with the cheats. So your theory falls flat right away.

  • Why do we need all survivors to have voice lines? They don't bring anything to the game and have to admit I have never got a survivor or skin because there is voice lines. They are just a bonus and quite often there as a background noise that you don't most of the time pay any attention.

  • Its killer instinct that is broken sometimes it just does not give the indication at all.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with posting this here. He's not posting the report, he's posting the issue he has noticed with the program.

Like how did I say that there was something wrong of his post. Using the word wrong in the sentence where it literally means that this is the not the optimal place to post this does not mean there is something wrong of posting it?

You are one person. Your individual view on how abandons should work is not how the majority of killers see them. That's just how it is.

And still you are generalizing to try to make a point. You belittle my statement but same time raise up the statements that you need to defend your viewpoint. You have no proof that is the majority you just pick the claims you want and use those to drive your point forward. You are just making it more clear that you are driving your own agenda here and not really wanting to have a conversation of the matter. You have your viewpoint I have mine but yours don't make mine invalid by you disagreeing or bringing up things that have nothing to do with my statements. Everyone can cherry pick posts to fit their narrative.

I'm just saying that there's an incredible double standard between survivors wanting the game to end versus killers. You have killers making forum posts about being able to abandon when 5 gens are done, but you have people in THIS thread who are wishing for the removal of abandoning when someone has been slugged for 3 minutes or downed at least 6 times and not hooked.

If you read my post on those I am against any more abandoning options as they are not needed. So maybe you should not lump people in to groups as that is not how people play this game only few people play only one side. I have not said anything of removal of any abandoning features. I only want 10 seconds before it becomes available

Well then, why did I previously receive notifications about bans for those I reported, for example, last year?

I have never got a notification of cheating ban and I have reported several ones and I know some of them got banned because I checked later. Only times I get notification is when it was and exploit abuse report.

  • @Royval said:

how do you play against the same killer multiple times a day? He must’ve been sniping your queue. That’s the only answer I say makes sense.

Its possible but rare. I have had times when I got same killer several times. Still could be he is playing with cross-play off so there is not much options as it only queue's you with other cross-play off people

Before sending the report via email, I also made an in-game report.
In any case, a notification should have been sent stating that the player I re-opted had been banned (even if it wasn't my fault).

In-game report does not give notification of bans as I told you. They don't reveal that information for anyone.

  • @Leandralan said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4069974#Comment_4069974

    I sent everything to support.
4 videos for these 4 matches.
Like the fact that all the survivors are magnetically attached to each other at the start, with an animation as if they're being carried on someone's shoulder (creating the appearance of a human centipede) is clearly not cheating...

Behavior does not inform if they ban people so you are never going to get any notification of it. Only thing they inform in game if some action was taken in other categories. I myself get usually notification if I reported someone exploiting something in the game.

Nothing negative can be discussed, I understand you.
Then I'll wait for the ban.

Negative things can be discussed but how you do it is most likely the key even back in the Steam discussions.

  • @LinkToReality said:

I get it's upsetting if what you said is true, but considering I've had one cheater in my past like 50 games I feel like this was a massive outlier.

Haven't seen a cheater since the last 2v8 so yes its a quite a big out liner. Still most of the time when I see any claims of cheaters even if they provide "proof" the proof does not reveal cheating at all just misunderstanding what happened.

That's funny because I've had many a killer player tell me that this game is a 1v1v1v1v1 and not a 1v4. I guess it's only a team game when the killer says so, but it's an every man for themselves when it's convenient for them huh?

and what is your point that some random killer player said so? Ok and why would I need to agree with his point. You also seem to be in that camp that wants to people to play how they want. So why can't I play how I want? If I want to leave someone on the ground I have total right to it by your own opinion.

  • Just stating that on this forum its against the rules to talk about bans so just for your knowledge.

There's no risk of ECAC when it's a built in function of our monitors.

Or just put a dot in the middle of your screen tape or something its not hard thing to do.

  • Why don't you send this info to the customer support that way its not public but it gets forwarded to the right people? Like you know this is the wrong place for it so why post this here.

  • I myself like that there is no crosshair just gives the game more realistic feeling and makes it more immersing.

  • I don't know why they haven't fixed it but most likely want to prioritize more game effecting bugs than one UI bug that might annoy some players. Still it will most likely going to be fixed hopefully on tuesday.

This is exactly what I mean right here. People think they're holier than thou by trying to punish survivors or "teaching them lessons." As long as the killer approves of your fun it's okay!

Yeah selfishness is something you should really garner in a game where you play part of the team. Go play some single player game where you don't ruin fun of the other players. There you can play how selfishly you want. Your own actions cause reactions you should know that by now.

  • Yeah blocking does not do anything else than make it so that you don't see their communications in the pre-game chat or end-game chat. Its not the "I will not have this player in my lobbies every again" there is no such thing and if there was it would be abused by preventing the best players from getting matches easily.

The AFK killers are farming they get small amount of bloodpoints from every match if survivors let them get them. Doc is good for this as you can just make him use his power or swing his weapon and if the survivors give him hits he gets bloodpoints. Best option with AFK killers is to fix the gens and leave and not go near them to give them any points. Another option is that they are deranking but that is less likely reason.

  • Usually if they try to kill themselves on first hook I slug them. Its there to let them think of their actions and how it effects the other three survivors. Usually in those matches I will not kill the other three but I make sure he is not going to get out fast.

If its happening when the match is practically over then I just hook them and let them go as then they did play the match and tried.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QDTKO5GNE26K/lockerdweetgame.jpg

I played a game today as a locker Dweet where this feature might have been pretty helpful (but also, imo, why it won't be as helpful as people think).

This TTV and their friends (I'm assuming they were a 3 man) didn't understand why I quickly jumped into a locker near a gen. As it happens, I was recharging my med-kit to finish off my heal and maybe also make a head-on play if the Gabe happened to lead the Oni past my locker (he didn't).

And if I did lead the Oni to the gen (not sure I did), it was because I was also trying to get the gen refueled like the rest of the team. I think the Oni was patrolling and he found us all but whatever, everyone else was also there. I had no hooks because the Oni couldn't catch me and he didn't want to chase.

It's 50/50 whether or not I play like I just installed the game, but this time I actually played quite well. Kept myself healthy and delayed getting hit by looping OK. Did all the basic stuff you should do against an Oni. Evidently I did something useful because I'm top of the leader board.

Anyway, it's totally understandable for them not to understand my actions in the Trial. But what's their excuse in the end game chat? They can see my perks. They left before I could tell them about Quick & Quiet, but how can it be that none of these reasonably experienced Survivors knew what this perk does? This isn't an obscure perk, it's a perk from a free character that everyone owns and has been in the game for 10 years. It might have helped for them to see my build in Trial and to understand better. But then again, I kinda doubt it.

I suppose a SWF might look to see what the "random" has in their build and play around that, but it's just as likely it will lead to players getting bullied or sandbagged by groups for not using perks that are in the meta. I think knowing your team's perks should be on a need to know basis. Maybe some locker perks are in the need to know category, I dunno. My view is that there are more potential downsides to sharing this info than there are benefits.

I am saying this with my years of experience in this game. Nothing you tell to those people who do this in end game chat it will not register. They will literally invent stuff that they really think happened in the match. These are the people who will leave you bleed on the ground because their warped sense of you not doing your part when you had done the thing they claimed you had not. I sometimes would classify those people to be little bit delusional as they think they know all that happened in the match but in the end they have no real clue of anything. Like even if you sat on a gen next to them fixing it they will claim you did not do gens or they expect you to come to save them when you are on the opposite side of the map fixing the most done gen when his friend are not doing anything or hiding from the killer.

”the extreme displeasure of facing this killer” lmao sounds like a skill issue to me. No one is forcing you to play this game, the devs are not forced to butcher a character because some people who cannot adapt are crying, especially even after a dev clearly told you that the killer is not overperforming in any way which is true especially after the vault nerf.

In my last 30 matches faced him three times. One they got 4k, one they got 2k and one they got no kill. So it seems at least on my three most recent matches against him is literally 1 win, 1 tie and 1 loss.

To be fair it could just be people with a bad connection. I've had some rough goes of it in the past, and I live in a developed area. Literally today had a Huntress whose ping hit 860, but was fluctuating wildly before she eventually DC'd, likely due to losing connection entirely.

Yeah it can spike but if it constantly stays like that it usually hints to something off.

  • You do realize that most people don't have 50 ping even if they have fiber connection as it depends on the distance to the server and if there is people with 460ms they are most likely lag switching as if they had that bad connection it would have cut off already.

Probably makes more sense. Good that I use the addon more for the bounces than for the slightly confusing bonus effects xD

Yeah and I understand what you mean by it looking like the knife goes through as it was doing that for me too while I was testing it. Still I think that is just a bug also its hard to get to see when you get the benefit as I did not really even notice it while testing and did a lot of ricochet hits on bots.

  • Okay I am wrong I think its the eight blade that you have hit with ricochet where you get the benefit.

  • @KatsuhxP said:

Oh really? That would explain a lot, I thought that only counts for bounces xD

I'm not speaking english natively, so I'm sure I don't understand every addon perfectly :D

I even read it wrong the first time I was checking it then went wait and read it again and went oh thats interesting. Have not used it myself so can't confirm it but have to test it out.

  • @KatsuhxP said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4069700#Comment_4069700

I know that, but sometimes it feels like I hit a visually missed knife and give one lecaration qith that and then hit the bouncing knife giving another one. Maybe it's legit a miss and then the effect of the bounce, idk xD

Like how I read the add-on you just need to hit one ricochet hit and then hit them seven times more anyway and it will give you the effect. So the one that gives the effect does not even need to be a ricochet throw.

  • He has two add-ons that can give you two lacerations with hit. Edge of Revival Album if you hit the blade further than 20 meters away or Trick Blades that can give you three possible effects after a ricochet, on every eighth Blade hit. You either get two lacerations with the hit, you see auras of any survivors 12m away or you get additional style point. What effect you get is totally random.

So yes you can get two lacerations with one hit by using Trick Blades.

Killers are the hunters, survivors are the hunted. It's that simple. Sometimes I'm scared of the critical thinking capacities of some of the members of this community.

Not to mention killer is going against four other players alone he deserves to see their items at least.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

It is unreasonable to come to this conclusion. There might be cases where this might happen, but those will be rare. Even nowadays people dont get sandbagged, even if they bring bad builds. I see people who bring a full Boon-Build, they are not helfpul, their Perks dont help at all. Yet they dont get sandbagged. Just as an example.

The positives greatly benefit the negatives. The only question is if players are able to make use of the information. E.g. letting the person with Shoulder the Burden get the Unhook if someone is on Death Hook. Letting the person with Deliverance having the first Unhook. Healing someone immediatly if they have Resurgence. And stuff like that.

But saying that it is likely to get sandbagged for running off-meta… Nah.

I play random builds and have run No Mither with really stupid perks several times and have never got sandbagged for it. Quite often even end up winning those matches somehow.

The survivors won’t know who the killer is until they get into the match. So no, they can’t change their build.

and even then the devs did state that they will be adjusting it when it shows who the killer is so its not going to be press tab and see who it is. Most likely still going to take the same time it takes now to see who it is.

After playing more of the event, I've only found this to be more true. The event is clearly designed around making blood generators harder to complete, to the point that the majority of my trials are ending very early. One or two have let us go, but it's very much not in our control. Too easy to guard a cluster of pumps and have gen regression kill the rest.

My last 30 matches the average time for a trial is 11 minutes. Average normal match lasts between 8-15 minutes. Seems quite normal match length to me. So at least in my matches have not seen anything that makes them faster than normal matches.

  • Just pointing out that your post of four pictures of end screens does not invalidate what I stated. So don't know why you quoted me when you could have posted those just normally. Still none of those pictures prove those are intentional dc's either.

  • See maybe one killer DC every 40 matches so its not that common and usually its even more matches in between. Some cases its clearly connection loss and sometimes its clear intentional DC.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465952/i-woder-why-it-feels-like-dbd-matches-are-declining

I get a little amazed when people get surprised when they interact with toxic people, they get toxicity back, and then come on the forums as if it's a reporter giving the weekly temperature of DBD.

I get toxicity from killer mains, literally had someone complain about me using Shoulder The Burden on a tunneled person - yet I just respond with a "Kk".

I don't really care to engage in toxicity, so I get astonished when people hate toxicity, get involved in it, and then use it as a bragging thing or painting the other side a certain way.

I must be in a different world here because I'll outright one word you or promptly ignore the toxicity, but I do believe people in the DBD community definitely gets off on it, for sure.

Then come on the forums for validation, feeding the tribalism cycle, and stuff. Just strange.

I see someone being toxic as them losing in every way. It does not matter what the end result of the match was if you be toxic you lost. Its also interesting of those people that they think most people somehow would get upset of their statement when in reality it more of them watching some random guy go off on chat in a game. Only one who is upset is the guy who is toxic.

Had one recently who got toxic because could not find me or the other survivor while we were doing the gens on the opposite side of the map. Then when I managed to finish my gen he finally by luck found me as I chose the wrong direction and was really in a bad spot managed to still run about half a map and the guy humps me and hooks me. I let myself die so the other can try hatch that they got. Then he goes off on me on the end game chat calling me a snake and claiming my chase lasted only few seconds. Telling me to 1v1 him. Like you don't need to tell me more that you got annoyed the humping was enough. He really thought that it upset me when in reality it just makes him just look like a fool. I decided after the first two survivors died in the match that my win is the gen being finished and I did that anything else after that is just bonus.

Survivors get the abandon option when they literally can't do anything to progress the game, nor to even earn points.
Killers want it so they can give up and quit without the DC penalty. That's not a mentality that should be catered to.

I would still add 10 second wait time before abandoning option is used as its unhealthy for the game when last survivor goes down and pop its a bot.
