I never get confirmations or messages as a console player.
I just want a way to turn off cross play, the chances of someone jail breaking a PS5 is slim to none and not being lumped in with PC players will remove the bulk of the cheaters for console players.
Its in the settings. Just be ready to wait way longer to get matches as you will be only queued with others who have it off on your platform

The game is K-18 game its your responsibility as an adult to make sure its not shown to underage person or one plays it. So why would the game try to cater to player base that should not be playing it in the first place.

So I missread it, well the explaining is kinda poor Im shocked they dont show it in some picture like they had for chaos shuffle where was which addons will be aviliable for killers.
I didnt even found the explenation in event info, so thanks for info
Just hover over one of the perks and you will see extra text saying with the arrow mark next to it "This perk has limited compatibility with this game mode" so they are clearly stating that part of it will not work on bloodgens. If the perk would not work at all they would disable it in the mode but all the perks involved partly do work even with the mark.

But these dont effect bloodgens I belive, only the ones with that orange mark?
No the orange arrow down means they have something that does not effect bloodgens. All perks that are without the mark means they work normally and if they are gen perk they work on all gens. Its mainly there to mark the part of the perk that happens when survivor is fixing the gen itself. So for example their aura showing or getting skill checks as blood gens don't have skill checks. Call of Brine has the arrow because of the skill check part not the regression being faster. The regression still will be stronger you just don't get the secondary ability because they don't get skill checks.
-
There is other ways you might have accidentally revealed yourself for example the crows flying or landing back. Killers do also check around gens if they don't find someone so they can still find you if they just happen to check the right place sometimes its totally about luck. Still there could be the obvious explanation that they saw you when you were already moving to the hiding spot.
and as cogsturning said for me the perk has been working totally fine in the matches I have used it.

It depends what the deal was and if Netflix wants to do more deals.

I am not sure what went wrong but yeah, this is a really big oversight. Its quite annoying to deal with as a survivor. Getting to the pump and having to walk at a snails pace across the map is painful because the spawns for the pump are so bad.
I still rather take that than sitting on the gen at least you are doing something than just holding a button. Also its better to walk about half way the distance and run the rest you will not lose that much blood and can finish the gen about four cans.
-
You lost connection to the server and yes its intentional that you get disconnect penalty for it. There is no way of Behavior to tell when the disconnect is not intentional so all of them are treated the same and penalized. Only time you don't get the penalty is when the server itself crashes.

Map offerings now only give a 20% (I think) chance to go to that realm, instead of 100%.
They're basically useless.
Well technically they never were 100% there was always very small chance to get random map. There was like 1/10000 chance to get a random map. I even experienced that few times before the change of the offerings.

Gone against him too. Also a killer that faked farming and then just kept slugging and eventually body locked me in a corner until I was forced to abandon. Just sad that BHVR can't take poor sportsmanship and cheating seriously.
This event has kind of sucked playing survivor. Killer has been fun, but I don't want to be stuck playing killer just to farm some BP. And the end game screen being bugged is atrocious too.
Definitely not one of my most fun gaming experiences today.
You can walk through the killer when you get the first afk crow so he should not be able to block you permanently.
Still cheaters last one I saw was in last 2v8.
-
In my opinion perks should have always effect the blood gens and thats why the matches are way more interesting this year than they were last. Last year it was blood gens getting popped always as killer rarely could stop survivors from popping them fast.
-
Its quite recent addition there. They added that this month and I would think its meant for issues that they have got feedback from different community channels. So I think its just there to show that its verified by a community member or there is several people stating the same issue in different channels. I don't think its anyway there to indicate when they are going to be fixed just that they are issues that community members have been running into.
Still would be nice to get Behavior dev or mod to clarify what it means.

The blood loss is negligible when running - you will fill way faster by disregarding that entire mechanic and just run back and forth between pump and gen.
Depends on the distance if its really long way from the pump to gen walking part of the way is still better than running the whole way. TicTac crunched the numbers and in that case doing part walking wins over running the whole way. If you can get the gen with three cans run if it takes more than that walking part of the way can be helpful if you have the time to do so.

I did use it, that's why I was able to say that I got badham with 4 games between it and rpd with 5 xD
Yeah to me thats quite reasonable. Still I am not saying there is no weighted maps so you most likely still will get those more but that 3-4 maps seems to be quite constant between repeats if there is no offering.

Yeah I’m not asking. You Introduced a bug that prevents character rotation now ######### fix it. It’s absolutely ridiculous that after EVERY SINGLE UPDATE no matter how large or small there’s some stupid problem you’ve created because you won’t test the side effects of updating code. Here’s a tip: Fix the problems you create in a timely manner. Here’s another one: Deathslinger is STILL bugged to all hell. Get your ######### in order Clowns 🤡 or your player base is gonna quit showing up. The fact that I had to create an account to leave a comment to tell you something that’s ######### obvious is insane.
Testing does not always show all the bugs or are you seriously expecting them try all possible things you can do in the game after every change they make? Like this is so minor bug that prevents you from rotating a character in a lobby its not game breaking and its not even anything serious. Minor bug that some reason annoys some people.

Thank you for the advice! The same thing is happening when I load into a custom lobby as a killer. However I think I found the issue. I’m working on getting this fixed now. Thank you again for your help!

Oh okay, I just know that there should be a system that is supposed to keep them from repeating, but I don't know the details. So I would believe you that it's every 4 maps, espeacially because it sounds like a reasonable number xD
Yeah so far I have not seen repeats after about 3-4 matches today it was four. I did edit the earlier post to give you the link to Behavior's own stat tracker you can check there your match history and other stats if you are interested of that.

Well I didn't know that you only get the same map every 4 games at maximum, but at least it feels like too much. I actually had badham after exactly 4 matches in my recent matches, rpd after 5.
Maybe it feels worse because I despice those maps with a passion xD
(I will look into you post :D)
I am not saying that its not possible to get the same map more but I don't think recently I have got the same map than having at least three maps between if there was not offering used. Like don't take what I said as a fact its just what I have observed while gathering those match details.
Bad memories and experiences usually stick better than good. You can see your match history here if you are curious to see yourself its Behavior itself hosting it
https://stats.deadbydaylight.com/
-
In my recent matches have not even got RPD or Eyrie. Badham got once and repeats happened only after there was four matches in between in different maps. There is a topic few post under this about Map RNG and you can check the full variation of my maps there if interested. There is currently 80 of my recent match maps listed there.

Well, everyone experience is quite singular. But i've been playing even SoloQ and unless we were throwing - like when i tried to save in the endgame against Bubba LOL - the matches were very easy.
Yeah have had no real problems of killers being too oppressive. The matches are about the same as in normal queue. You win some you lose some.
-
I have played this game from 2016 little bit after Halloween DLC was released and I have no P100 characters and most likely will never have one as I have no reason to do that. There is nothing to gain from it that I would want even after they added the new prestige rewards. I also do use all my bloodpoints on the character I played the match with and as I play all characters its very unlikely that one of them ever gets to P100. P100 is just indicator that someone used a lot of bloodpoints on one character nothing more. Still as others said everyone has a off day or match where nothing goes right. They also could be someone who comes back in the game from long break or someone else is playing the game than the person who owns it as that is nothing new with computer games.
-
This has been reported several times and is currently marked as "Under Investigation" in the bug reports.
-
It depends on the situation if the gen is further away it might be beneficial to walk as having half can lost before you get to the gen is in my opinion way too much loss. Still you can run part of the way so you don't lose that much of it. If the gen is quite close there is no reason to walk unless you know that you might be too close to not finish the gen because of the amount you lost while running as it takes three trips if its close even while running the distance. I had few of those where the gen was touch and go but as I ran the whole way there was not enough blood in the can so its again situational.
Like I would say its better to get the gen done in four trips than run the whole way and get it done in six or more. Of course people should have Fixated so walking is not wasting that much time.

I tried to invite my friend to play the Event with us and he was tunneled out before the first 1 to 2 gens 7 times of our 9 games.
He says, this is why he does not want to play this game. Its interesting to read the claims of the tunneling when I played 20 matches in the event queue and got like one hard tunneler and maybe one or two tactical ones. Its one reason why I take these kind of claims of tunneling numbers as pinch of salt as they don't fit the experience I have been seeing. Also just to point out how in the world he manages to be the first to get chased in those seven games to be the one getting tunneled that is statically very unlikely if he is not intentionally trying to avoid the killer.

I see, and what about showing them to us in-game ? Like the offers that we can see them with tab ? Just to know If anyone have perks like unbreakable or smth ^^
I have to admit I would prefer them not to be shown at all but if Behavior decides that you could see them when in the match then I would be fine with that. I personally play with random builds so my perks most of the time does not make any sense and I do get No Mither time to time. I would imagine I would see people dodging my lobbies because of that randomness of the builds. Still seeing other peoples perks can also cause problems because some people might think just because you have unhook perks that you are going to be saving all the time when they would be closer so might cause someone to not be saved because people think the other will do it because of the build.
-
No dodging would be way more this has been suggested several times and it would make some perks not be able to be used as people would just dodge the lobby and not play. It should never be a thing in the lobby.
-
Well 20 more matches on my originals most of these were played in the Blood Moon event queue but that does not effect the map RNG so they are included. Some maps this time were more common but the distribution is still quite even. Also there was at least four matches between any repeating maps.

There is more to connection than just ping. It is likely that you had a hiccup in your internet traffic which caused you to disconnect from the server for a long enough time that it completely disconnected you.
Yeah people don't seem to get that internet connection to a server is not the same as you having direct line of wires from point a to point b. Internet is more of a web of connections and if one of those strands of the web have problems can cause you lose connection that much that it can cause disconnections of games and apps to their servers. In most it does not do anything as most apps or games don't demand active connection that needs to be certain speed every millisecond but with certain online games if the server is not going to get answer from your end for set amount of time it will consider your connection been failed and terminate. Like you having internet does not mean you have good connection to the server hosting the game.

This is my take as well. I'm technically still a Survivor main because that's what I've historically preferred, but these days (unless an event is live) I play Killer pretty much exclusively. So I wouldn't be going anywhere in this scenario.
There must be very few "Killer only" mains out there, though I can see there being more players that only play Survivor. Some people only want to play with their friends or don't want to acclimatise themselves to the stress of playing Killer (as we all know, it's definitely a very stressful role when you first start playing it).
I myself quite often chose the side by what side is getting the bloodpoint bonus. Sometimes I play the side I want but I like bloodpoints so that quite often decides what side I play.
-
Yeah this forgets the people who play both sides that are in reality the majority of players so if those that main killers would leave then queue times might get higher but it would not remove all killer players. I myself for example would not really get why you play a game but only half of it anyway.
-
This was interesting reading but you do you man. We play this game to have fun if you have fun with playing Wraith don't let things make it complicated.

ruin never regresses blocked generators . If that is actually happening then it is 100% a bug . In fact gen block and ruin have negative synergy.
Correct nothing can effect blocked gens and they also does not regress while they are blocked either. That is one reason why Trail of Torment also now turns off when the gen its on gets blocked by the entity.
-
Haven't seen real DC's much at all lately. It was way worse before the changes to make people get timeouts matchmaking of DC'ng and that is about the two years he says he was around before. The reasons he lists were literally the reasons why people DC'd back then and noway its worse currently as it was back then.
-
Welcome hopefully you enjoy your time here.
-
Anytime someone states that something needs to be removed from the game just tells me the topic is not worth the time to read. Removing something from the game does not improve its health it just makes the game less.
Still have to state that swamp maps are not really even that bad but tweaks on them might be good to do. Fallen Refuge is something I do agree on it needs way more work and main reason why its like that was because Behavior did not meant to it to be a map at all. They several times stated that it was meant to be a new tile that spawns on maps in Withered Isle realm but most likely they did not get it to work or they realized that there can be license issues as there is licensed map in that realm Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and mixing another licenses asset to it might have been problematic. Still there has never been a statement of why they originally claimed it to be a new tile for the maps and there was originally no map even marked to be released with the Walking Dead Chapter.
-
I use it time to time when I get it in the random builds I do. Sometimes you just don't get to use it as you might get chased first and hooked first or other get to unhook before you get to do it.
-
Its part of Elusive's special rule and causes it to turn off if killer hits you with any attack or you go to dying state by any means. I have reported it not being stated in the extra info in bug reports including the special rule of when Enduring turns off too as another bug report as that is not listed either.
-
Known issues are there to indicate something that they will fix next patch that comes out so people don't report it for nothing when its getting fixed anyway. Its usually also something that people will notice while playing so they give indication that its on the way to be fixed and quite often they are issues that appeared when they fixed something else and was not bugged until the bug fix patch was released.
-
These kind of suggestions just make it quite clear you don't really even want to play the game.

What players see when it comes to actual cheaters vary by time of day/week, MMR, and in particular region. Apparently it's most prevalent in the EU and Asian regions.
I play in europe and I see cheater maybe every 50/100 games as other poster here said. People claim cheats all the time been in matches where I have been accused of cheating because the other persons own failings of knowing game mechanics. One reason why I take cheating claims in this game as just that claims. If the person can provide a video that shows that there is something odd going thats good but if not they are just claims and the amount of times people have been shown to be wrong even on this forum when they try to claim someone cheated just makes it seem there is more claims than real cheaters really. Yes sometimes there is more of them when a wave happens as thats when cheat makers target the game to get more people to buy their cheats but in the end they are not that common as most people claim them to be.

well yes it definitely is fixed, the reason you may not see any auras is bc the aura revealing mechanic being a bit tricky. If the player isnt behind any solid object you just dont see the aura bc the game thinks you have clear line of sight to that player so maybe you were in that direction where you didnt see auras or you were afflicted with blind status effect
Or killer was undetectable as you don't see auras of them if they have that status effect.
-
There has been some reports of it. Currently at least the one for the Liches map is "Under investigation" on the bug reports and there is comments there of people stating other generator fix achievements are not working so its known and its under investigation.
-
No would increase lobby dodging/shopping as if people would know what others have they will dodge for not liking perk they chose or them not having build the agree on. Its better they don't know and there is the before match chat you can share your info there if you want.
-
@Crowman said:
It's always funny how a survivor perk with one of the highest use rates is treated as a perk that only helps new players. Also ignores how the perk is on a dlc character that most new players likely do not have.
Considering we've nerfed perks in the past for being widely use, WoO has been long due to a nerf. But it also doesn't matter because BHVR already released a power crept version of the perk.
Its also interesting when you can find tons of videos of content creators running the perk and so showing how good it is for even higher levels. Its not just perk for new players its the best information perk in the game that never turns off and tells you where the resources for a survivors are for you to use to make chase last longer.
-
My opinion of the perk is that just made it work only when you are injured as then you really need the info where the windows and pallets are and this way its not on 100% of the match as its information value is way too high it to be on all the time. Still you can have it on the whole match but you need to be injured the whole match.
-
Do some testing you can do custom lobby load into it as a killer with some bots and see if you can move there. If you can't check that you don't have any other controller plugged in that might some reason take over and not let you move with the keyboard. Check your key bindings and change them to see if that will let you move. I would say it sounds more of a technical problem than a game bug.
-
So I had matches with people with those perks and they did not manage to do almost anything with them.
-
I don't know how much you know about how she works but use the crows to deny pallets and windows from survivors. You can cause damage with the crows over those as long as the survivor is on the visible flight path that is shown when the crow is spawned. You will just swarm them with hitting further distance than the visual indication. You can also cause damage if the survivor is swarmed again shooting them with the crow of any distance and through objects. When match starts its quite a good idea to shoot the crows towards gens on the other side. You usually hit someone or get killer instinct from close miss. Then you go towards them. If you try to get long range hits for damage never shoot more than one crow and then when you again can shoot quickly try to spread all three towards the swarmed survivor and shoot them. The survivor has not time to remove the swarm if you do this correctly and it works on close range too. If you use all of them all the time survivors will get the swarms of them before you get your power back. Lockers can remove the swarms so that is good idea to keep in mind.
I like to use her birds a lot when in chase. Just shoot them on the survivors one at the time through things to get them swarmed then do it again to get a hit if you can't cause them to run into windows or pallets you have used to aim them through too. Usually its always better to only use one crow at the time as the recovery is faster then than survivors getting the swarms off so you can usually do the second shot even using all three crows to cause the damage. Builds I am not the best to list but aura is good for getting longer distance damage. She is one of those killers where you have to think where the survivor is running to get the hits through things easier.
