  • Restart your modem then as EAC problems usually are related to connection issues to their servers. Still as it says save data problem it might mean that your settings files would be somehow corrupted but don't know how you would be able to delete those on switch as on computer those don't get deleted by uninstalling you have to manually delete them.

  • Did you vote at work or are you guys using a VPN as it might keep track on it by ip's so if you voted at work it will not match the ip at your home and if your brother lives with you might see his votes when checking on them from that ip.

We had archives before. Those would give a lot of BP aswell.

Yeah but they were like quest lite version. Time to time no long term archive mission and with current system they seem to be adding way more quests with all releases. Not to mention the four dailies you get now when earlier it was one daily per day and most of the time were more annoying to gain as even in some cases they demanded you to play unoptionally to get them. They might have dialed down some BP gains but as I said I don't think they are that major. Not to mention any time there is problems they usually give quite a big compensation like the recent downtime that they gave everyone 750k BP. There is also the illusion of them changing the BP bonuses to show themselves with x1.25 instead of the old +25%. Apparently smaller number can make it seem the gain is smaller when in reality both are the same.

The pull seems weaker than it should be and dog never pulls over or to catch point which I dont think it was issue before ( only issue before with dog what was changed was where he pulls once it was to killers position and other was to point where he caught the survivor which I belive is still working now).

Yeah and that was because of the FPS difference as some players were effected more by the dog than others. Its also depends how you react to the dog if you fumble and start resisting late it will pull you back but if you know to keep moving opposite way its should not pull you further from the spot otherwise what there would be for survivors to do? That would in most cases always guaranteed that she would get the hit as survivor could not even try to get away. There is several videos to show the FPS bug and even with it you always can move away from the killer only thing is that with higher fps you got pulled back way harder.

Not sure if intended but the killer aura changes the aura of Doctor's Hallucinations.

I would imagine that to be intended as they did not set different color option to killer power auras so it uses the default for the object set. Freddy for example can't tell his fake pallets from the real ones while using Zanshin Tactics. They need to add an option for killer power aura too so you can separate those from normal.

Edit: saw the words "meat plant" when describing the amount of pallets and assumed you were also talking about their strength too, so I apologise in that regard

To me most of his pallet picks are not strong but each of their own.

  • My map variety on normal queue latest 27 matches. (Would be 30 if not the last three playing the new map in its queue.)

    Nostromo Wreckage = 2
    Eyrie of Crows = 2
    Toba Landing = 2
    The Pale Rose = 2

I got 1 bloody party streamer on my Kwon from making it to prestige 3, you might be onto something. Maybe just me being unlucky tho!

I do feel like the BP incetives/bonuses/event rewards etc got decreased.

I don't remember when the last blood feast etc were out - maybe last bloodmoon? I wish they've been here often.
I wish incentives were better, always 100% for example.
Quests could be more profitable aswell.

Maybe their idea is for us to spend more time in the game, because who doesnt want the "100" on their favourite characters.

Offerings are bad example the reason why you get less blue offerings or it seems so is the fact there is 39 offerings in that category so you are way more unlikely to get specific offering of that rarity than you would be getting specific offering on any of the other rarity levels. It has nothing do with anything else than specific blue offerings are rarer because there is more of them than others.

I personally don't think they BP rewards got worse or at least not that much. They changed how we get them and give quite a lot in the quest system that was not there before so they don't need to give that high BP bonuses when you already get them from the quests.

  • This video is literal nothing burger he has nothing there that shows any bug. That is normal pull and always been like that. Houndmaster should not be able to stop survivor from moving but slow them down.

First on 2:30 totally normal nothing odd in that and the creator makes a huge deal of it like it was somehow abnormal. This guy has some odd idea that survivor should not get away from the spot he gets grabbed by the dog that has never been a thing they are always meant to be able to move so they can use pallets to get rid of the dog. This happens on 3:03 he even goes that he grabbed them on the spot he goes to stand and no he did not the dog grabbed them about two meters forward of where he claims and look how far the survivor got basically no where they are still there. 5:00 Sable has enough distance to get to the pallet before the pull happens nothing odd in that and as said you should not use her power to do that as it usually ends up them using the pallet to get rid of the dog. His question why its useless on grabs before pallets is because the pallets are the counter to your power you should know that if you play enough of her. 5:51 Dusting is pulling the dog towards the loop and as he moves closer the dogs animation turns on the right side as its now pulling towards the killer. Still the dog is never meant to keep the survivor on the spot they grabbed but move towards the killer in that case the path finding most likely was little bit confused of what direction it should pull because of the long wall but still that is still totally normal behavior from the dog. 6:08 totally normal nothing to mention in that one. 6:28 Nea gets about the same distance as Dustin did with the one he made a huge deal out of so nothing odd in this one either but this time he does not find it odd.

This guy seems to not know how Houndmaster works if his thinking is that survivor should not be able to move from the spot they got grabbed by the dog they can totally move with the dog and has always been like this. This is just an example of somebody making a video about something and not really having any facts to back up his claim. Its usually btw good way to get views to claim something is buggy and some content creators use blatantly and make videos like this that does not even back up the claim. Also he does not get that the bug they fixed finally fixed the problem where the odd faster movements from survivors while grabbed by the dog were possible because it was tied to fps of the survivor player now they are consistent and so worked every time the same in his video and as it also includes the inputs of the survivor player how well the dog manages to hold them back as survivor has control of the movements not the dog.

  • Its most likely in the plans but its quite a big change and they most likely want decent amount of different mori's for all killers before they would implement it.

  • They usually do two licensed chapters in the year so they most likely want to go with IP's they think will sell well. Shining is iconic but in the end its not the most well known IP to them to go after. Still they could have it in the pipeline but as there is usually only two licensed chapters a year it can take a while before they get to that one. Still your work around also might not work as we have no clue how the movies usage of the license was agreed on so there could be a problem that King can have a clause there that gives him right to veto any license deals with it.

  • Not to mention don't go to the door just let them stand there and go collect points with your power or breaking objects. Like most of the time they get bored half way the end collapse and if they don't well they still wasted their own time for no benefit while you were at least doing something.

I rarely even bother to go to the door if I know there is no chance of me getting any of them. Why give some people the satisfaction and the point they might get of you starting the chase. Still have had very few of these lately people usually leave when they realize you are not coming there.

  • Nah not needed we need 10 seconds grace period on the abandon option to come available though.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465263/custom-aura-colors

Is it possible to implement a feature that priorities an aura-read? Currently (for example) if you have survivor-aura blue and gen-aura read, the survivor-aura can still be hidden the gen-aura which is often annoying despite the different colors. It would be cool if we could priorities specific auras - for example, if that blue-survivor is behind the gen, their aura is "infront" of the generator.

Otherwise, the aura-colors are a bit too pale and need to be darker. Yesterday, I've had a match with Hex: Hive Mind and it was very difficult to tell the gen-progress due to the pale colors. Before this update, I've never that this problem to tell the amount of progress based on the color intensity.

On my own opinion the you should be able to hide behind other auras to hide yourself from aura read. So I would not really like that they would remove basically one of the only four possible counters to aura read. Its just going to make the game more simple and simple is not always the best option.

  • Yeah its a good change they just need to add some more options to it and it will be even better.

  • Need separate color options for totems and killer power objects so you can easily see those as currently Nightmare has hard time to know what pallet is real and what fake by aura if they run Zanshin Tactics at the same time.

  • You should make customer support ticket about the missing things. They will help you and unlock them for your account.

  • Killer power objects also need to be added to it as separate option as now there is problems of telling those apart from other objects. For example if you run Zanshin Tactics with Nightmare you can't tell what pallet is fake or not.

Funny how they completely reworked the Hatch achievement once 4 players couldn't escape at once anymore, but "Open Exit Gates on Police Station 20 TIMES" is still in there

That one they can change because it became impossible to do. There is limitations on platforms on when you can change achievements. Seems the most common change reason they accept is that the achievement is not possible to get anymore and that was the case with the all escaping through the hatch. Another is licensing issues like when Behavior loses license making them lawfully not able to use those achievements that prefer to license they don't have rights to. The standard deal seems to be on most platforms that achievements have rules when they can be changed and its not done for small things as its a bother for the platforms that handle them. The game companies are not the ones handling if you get them or not its the platforms you play on.

The RPD achievement is not broken and is working fine. Its time consuming achievement but totally doable.

About the main topic don't really know as usually when survivor gets released with new map there is fix the main generator achievement with other two achievements for the survivor but some reason this time there is only three survivor achievements.

Just had this one a few days ago. I tried to M2, it didn't work, and I got stuck at slow speed. Was scared for a moment I'd be that way the whole rest of the match. It was kind of a relief when it disconnected instead.

    https://youtu.be/J4eCUVymmD4

It often seems to happen when some sort of action is performed. Last time it happened I was kicking a gen, this one it was the M2. Or maybe it's because I'm performing the action when I'm in the process of being booted. I've had others where a survivor I'm chasing just starts running into a wall. Every single time it's when I'm winning too.

I've yet to ever get a DC penalty from these, even when they're in short proximity to one another, which makes me think the problem isn't on my end.

If you don't get a penalty its a server crashing not your connection failing some point in the way.

  • Read the patch notes there is separate section for Mastermind so yes he got changes in the bug fixing section that is so those might effect some techs.

  • Remove the picture you are sharing your ID to everyone. That message comes up when you some reason can't connect to the servers. So either there is problem somewhere between you and the servers or the servers are down.

You need to open a ticket to Behavior's customer support as they would most likely be more helpful than people on this forum.

  • It gives another way to play Wraith it might be common perk to see on Wraith's but in the end quite many killers have perks that are used with them most of the time because their synergy with the killer power.

  • Because they most likely want to get some data how it would work in the game with bigger testing. PTB data most likely did not show anything that they would feel need to revert it or their testing feedback did not show reason to either.

What is the problem with that abandoning option? Is this some power trip fantasy that you want to make survivors watch the mori sequence every single time as some kind of additional punishment? If you (the killer) want to see it, you can still see it, there is no difference for you if it's a bot or a survivor. The less time i have to spend watching animations i've seen a thousand times already, the better.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4063551#Comment_4063551

Honestly i would say you don't play this game very often, because at some point you develop a feeling for how games usually go and i've also seen the animations a thousand times by this point. Dbd-Survivor is a rather slow game mode where you naturally spend time watching your character hanging on hooks or sitting on gens for a great amount of time. There is no need for us to waste even more time. I have over 4k hours, i know pretty well when a game is lost, when it's won and when it's still close to 50/50. If the killer tunnels out someone at 5 gens left, then his friend DC's and then i'm left with another surv and a bot, we still have to do 5 gens against a killer who has a total advantge at this point, there is no need to play the match anymore. I'd rather take the lose and less BP instead of pro forma doing 1 gen and unhook 2 or 3 times and pretend that we still have a chance of winning this game. It's like a show match at this point. And yeah, i could still get hatch, but imo that's a mechanic that usually makes things worse because at some point survivors start to hide to get hatch.
As i said, it's a bit different for killers, depending on if you have endgame perks. I've turned games around where i had 1-2 hook stages when all gens were done, just by using NOED and No way Out.

No its not power trip the fact is that its pointless. Only thing it does is annoy part of the player base. Its main reason to be added was to let people leave so they can't be kept hostage by the killer but currently because you can do it in the first second is now more of a last fu to the killer. 10 seconds would make it fair killer could get the mori and the survivor can abandon if the killer does not do it inside that 10 seconds. Its being fair for both players why now killer has to tolerate the people insta abandoning. So in short the feature is now just doing the opposite and annoying the other side even those killer players who aren't toxic or slugging anyone but for your statements it sounds you are leaning on the side of the survivors not caring of the killers playing experience at all.

  • Well good thing I have shards saved up but would have bought it as a DLC too but hope this is not something that is going to be a norm as I still prefer buying new content in the DLC's through Steam.

To people that can do what you are saying, awesome! Super human even, but I can't do that. I doubt a dev can do that. I siply can't buy this.

But thats alright! I dont need to. Props to whoever can do this.

Yeah experience helps. Shack is a good way to estimate if someone is suspicious as running around it in most maps is about the same so as you play more you basically can tell when something is off as you know how fast survivor can run around shack and if they keep rounding the corner every time you get to the other to see they most likely are using some hack as that should not be possible. Still its always not that cut and dry in the end as there is perks to gain speed and as I have said always you only get your viewpoint and don't really know what is going on in any of the other four.

I think the wording on the perk description might be bugging me, then. For example - survivor perk Rookie Spirit similarly states "The auras of any regressing Generators are revealed to you until they stop regressing by any means." Like Trail of Torment, this perk is disabled when a generator is blocked, but then reactivates once the generator is unblocked. For consistency sake, since this gen "stopped regressing by any means", it should not reactivate for this generator.

Combing other perks with similar behaviors, Surveillance has wording I agree with more - "The aura of regressing generators are highlighted in white - If the Regression progress is interrupted on a Generator, its Aura will be highlighted in yellow for 16 seconds." In this example, the word "interrupted" is used, which seems more appropriate for Trails of Torment's case.

If it is confirmed intended, then I can gladly post a write-up in its own thread as to why Trail of Torment should not be designed this way and my suggestions for alternative balance. As this is a very unique killer perk that relies on a generator to be regressing to remain active, it's unfortunate that this is pretty much the only killer perk you can actually self-sabotage by playing a gen-block/slowdown perk (which at least one is pretty much necessary in a good build). It's a huge nerf to a fun non-meta perk, and one of the very few perks that enabled the stealth playstyle (which is already weak).

Your example of Rookie Spirit is not comparable with Trail of Torment as Rookie Spirits effect showing the auras work when the gens are regressing when Trail of Torment turns off when the gen stops regressing. Rookie Spirit has no requirement of why the gen starts regressing to show the aura. So when it starts it shows. Trail of Torment by its description should not start on the gen again as it turns off totally when the regression stops. Killer needs to kick a gen again to get the effect.

I don't know why we are talking about wording preferences when it clearly makes sense why Trailer of Torment should turn off when gen is blocked by the perks description.

Also your last point is wrong as there is other killer perks that you can combine to cause other perks to be useless at least part of the match. For example using Hex: Ruin and having any of the many gen kick perks that can't be used as you can't kick gens when Ruin is active. Take undetectable perks with any perk that gives you effects on terror radius. etc.

You may not like it but that guy has some point, killers (some) are super bugged that it isnt even enjoyable to play them such as bugmaster i watched vid where one her main explains that some bug that effected you pull speed and distance of you dog by your fps, that isnt a thing now but the dog never pulls survivor to the point where he caughtch him or beyoned that point so its looks they fixed bug but made shadow nerf insted aka leaving the weaker pull.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YZxPCynGJE

His point is nothing when his post has nothing in it. You bringing some youtube video seems to me also quite pointless when he was not stating anything of value really or specifying anything. He should go report the bugs and not post topics that have no point to me this is literal spam.

So in your opinion someone coming in saying the game has a bug has point. Its about the same as me saying the game has a feature and its the same level of point. They could do something constructive like go and report the bugs but no they just make vague post on a forum that is pointless.

The funny thing is that my last 30 survivors matches the most common killer was Mastermind and saw him three times. All others are either once or twice and not even one twice in a row. The variety of killers is been really nice recently for some reason. Still also had no Krasue at all either.

Is it not a bug that Trail of Torment doesn't resume once the generator resumes regressing after being blocked?

I can't imagine this would be intentional as it completely breaks the functionality of this perk, especially when synergizing with gen-blocking perks is crucial. The description states it "grants the Undetectable Status Effect until that Generator stops regressing", which I would argue that a gen being blocked doesn't stop the regression, it temporarily pauses it, so why punish the killer for synergizing with a perk that isn't even meta? Not only does this apply the 30 second cooldown, but with the gen usually still regressing, the killer usually cannot reapply Trail to the gen after the cooldown is over, and has to wait until it actually stops regressing (repaired).

Trail of Torment wasn't even near overpowered when it was active during a blocked gen (which actually required setup to even make sure the tormented gen was blocked), but if it can't be active for consistency sake, it at least needs to resume after the gen is unblocked, otherwise it becomes useless. Stealth is universally seen as a very weak killer playstyle in comparison to rushdown, map control, etc - and nerfing one of the few decent stealth perks will just give more incentive to play rushdown killers and builds that are already insanely strong.

Appreciate you all looking into it!

Technically the gen does stop regressing as when the gen is blocked it does not regress or be effected by anything. So if we go by that logic the perk should stop working when the gen is blocked as the gen is not regressing at that time. Then it also should not reactivate when the gen becomes unblocked as the gen did stop regressing while it was blocked so causing the perk to disable.

  • Ranked mode is pointless in this game and the event modes has shown what having several queues in this game do and that is that they make queue times longer.

I don’t think anyone knows how abandons affect a player’s MMR on either the killer or survivor side. Apparently this is a tightly-guarded secret that BHVR can never reveal to us mortal players.

Numbers no most likely nobody knows other that Behavior but if you lose MMR on specific abandon option is known. Only one where survivor does not lose MMR when they abandon is when all other survivors in the match are bots and for killer its the same when all survivor are bots.

  • Well they maybe could get Jason Voorhees as he has been wanted to be in the game from the start and might be finally on the table but don't know. He also is one of the only OG slasher killers that have not been in the game.

Yeah, the betahub report was totally by me. However, the original bug was reported in the forums about 1yr ago by someone. Then months after that i reported it again in the forums because i did hear that Singularity had the same bug on same patch than Dracula but he got it fixed already. And then as you said like a week ago i did report in the new betahub.

Its honestly frustating because my forums report was flagged by "Under review" but you know… there are hundreds of bugs that they end lost with that flag and never heard again, so you dont know if they saw it and just didnt care, or they think it is not actually a bug, or it is not high priority, or it is a difficult bug to fix…

I also strongly think that if you do not notice that stutter is just because you have probably been "used to it" already. Before the 8.7.0 patch, every dracula action was done instantly. However after that patch there are tons of times that if you shapeshift or use the bat teleportation, there is a high chance that it gets "delayed" by a tiny bit, like 0.5 seconds. In fact it is very noticeable while transforming into bat form while walking because you will see Dracula running at the bat speed for those 0.5 seconds and then transforming.

It also doesnt seem to be a "me" thing because the original bug was not even reported by me, and when i did report it on the forums i got a comment of someone saying that it was also happening to him and was still not fixed.

I am not saying "you" thing I was just stating that I have not noticed it. Like bugs can happen to some and not all users. It can depend on many things why they happen. Like same bug can happen for several different reason and even if one killer has similar issue does not mean the other killer has the same issue even if its similar. There for example has been several times where they have fixed a bug but then its revealed there is another version of the bug that causes the same kind of thing so that needs to be fixed. In these situations people are always going "they said they fixed it" when the Behavior's statement is not even wrong but they did not fix all the variations that caused the same or same kind of bug.

Something is extremely fishy then because I'm watching killers quit my survivors matches left and right and as a killer main I know exactly why they're quitting and it's because 4 gens pop in 3 minutes after 1-2 chases resulting in either one or no downs, at that point you've already lost the game so why would you stay? I stay to avoid matchmaking lock then I stare at my long list of killers trying to decide which one I want to lose with next, how many posts can you go through right now where people have taken a break from the game just to come back and find that their killer experience has severely degraded at the hands of complaining survivors? Cause looking through the forms I've seen quite a few just recently.

I played yesterday 28 matches as survivor I had one killer DC and that was a Wraith who over committed on chasing wrong survivor and DC after the fourth gen was done and he had like two hooks. So at least my recent playing history does not correlate on your claim of them quitting left and right.

Are you seriously expecting game to freeze its development because you stop playing it? Thats not how things work man.

I'm telling you it doesn't matter if I pressure gens because the second I hit it the guy disappears into the void so I run to the next gen and if I get into a chase 3 other gens pop, how am I suppose to apply pressure and get downs then? I didn't have this issue before all the nerfs but since they've nerfed killers into the ground it's becoming an increasingly obvious issue and I'm seeing it on the survivor side also as killers are quitting my game en mass. It's not us tunneling a survivor, if we injure a survivor and let them run they reset and in the process 3 gens pop. The generator speed is too fast and I'm not saying that as a killer I'm saying that as both a killer and a survivor I see it on both sides.

Avg player numbers of the all the months this year has been about 20k higher than last year just on Steam so don't really see where the exodus some people like to claim is happening is?

What nerfs has Oni had that caused this? You're saying yourself it doesn't get done that fast when you play survivor with a gen build, so you don't think the problem might be on your end as killer? When I have gens popping around me fast. I know I blew it. I didn't choose the right gens to patrol or apply pressure properly. I didn't manage my time well. You said you chose the fastest killer in the game but it still wasn't enough. That sounds like they just outdid you.

And using one match where you didn't get a kill is a pretty small sample. I lose plenty of matches too. You're not supposed to win them all, nor are you automatically entitled to a kill every match.

His argument is also flawed to state Oni being the fastest when Oni without power is just normal M1 killer and some survivors can loop the killer a long time before you get the hit.

I had a match yesterday where the match was over in little bit under 7 minutes killer got one kill. Guy was tunneling and the survivor he chose to tunnel looped him for five gens in his whole three hook cycle. He was the only one who died. This is a good example of a match where killer was not doing any pressure on gens. Nobody of other three including me had any gen perks or toolboxes.

Dracula has a bug reported since 1 year i think that makes him literally stutter basically most of the time he transforms or uses bat teleport, which makes the action take like 0.5 seconds more than it should.

It sounds like its nothing but its annoying as hell.

The best part is… there is literally no need to explain how to even reproduce it. Just start the game and transform. You will probably stutter already. It does happen most of the time so there is no need to do some obscure sh*t to reproduce it or being in like 1 of every 10 matches. It happens on every game, a hundred of times, basically almost every time you transform.

And the bug is still there. They do not even care at all. The best thing is that Singularity had the same bug reported at the same time as Dracula's and it seems it got fixed fast. But for Dracula? Nah f**k it.

Im amazed of how a bug that affects you every time and you can reproduce it in, literally, the first second the match starts is still there.

That bug was reported like week ago in the betahub reports seems like by you. So if it was reported in the old forum bug reports I have to admit I am not holding my breath of them fixing those anymore so should really report them to the betahub site so they come into the attention to the devs again. So at least on there its not year old report as its your report you reported last week. Still its interesting that nobody else noticed this bug to make a report and I have played Dracula quite often and not noticed this stutter.

Hope in play? Team mate perks in play? There are so many reasons why a survivor would run faster than usual in endgame. I am curious to see the video! Hope you are able to :)

Yeah the end game screen with all perks visible would be really useful.

  • Houndmaster slow movement and Ghouls animation bugs are listed as "Fix Incoming" so they should be fixed most likely on tuesday when the new chapter releases. If you know more Houndmaster bugs you might want to report them to the betahub bug reports if they are already not reported there so devs get to be aware of the bugs.

There were no haste perks, yeah I've had a few matches of flashlight cheaters including ones with infinite charges on their flashlights, so I just leave and get penalized for it with a temporary ban but I guess that's ok? I'd rather deal with an hour ban than have to play against cheaters. Yeah idk I'm just going off the base movement speed of survivors, if it's 4.0 m/s and my speed is 4.4 m/s I should definitely be faster than survivors it isn't really a question but they were always staying ahead of me in that particular match, in another match I had the same perk setup but with the haste perk that gives 5%+ haste each time you let the obsession run away and was getting outran with 10% haste at 4.4 m/s by this one survivor I was like ok sure, got 15% haste and was actually able to catch up.

As other said only video would show us if there was inkling of cheats as we only have your word of stating that they were faster than you on straight line. I have had people state here stuff and then when they provide a video of what they claim to have seen the video disapproves their own statement. My normal reaction to any of these claims is that most of the time the poster is painting the picture to be what they think it was and I am not saying this as them doing it intentionally but frame of mind does effect persons viewpoints.

Still your main description of flashlight saves are still totally possible without cheats as when you pick up the survivor if the saving survivor just starts to use the flashlight on your face at the right time its always going to be you dropping the survivor as its about timing and angles. You need to adapt to play against people and in the end relying on Lightborn is not going to teach you how to counter them. Simplest counters are just pick up towards walls or directions where survivor would have hard time to get an angle to save. Another good one is to fake the pick up so the saver gives themselves up and drive them off and pick up when they are too far to effect it.

  • They are not going to add spider killer mainly because of arachnophobia.
