My post count doesn't matter. And anyways, I made a new account because I couldn't remember the old ones name.
I'm right and you know it.
I feel like trickster is a special case. I'd say that with Huntress's hitboxes and deathslinger's quick ads means that you can just hold your aim still and wait till they cross, then fire.
Trickster's need for consecutive hits and recoil make that a bit harder than the other two ranged killers and may even end up just wasting more time than just whacking them over the head to begin with.
but I've been surprised before, so wouldn't doubt there is at least 1 person that has god like tracking on controller.

Yeah that's true NOED doesn't need a whole slot but what if the killer has a couple hex perks it also helps with getting rid of them if they are hiding in sneaky spots
I mean, it does have moments where it shines like a killer patrolling a stacked devour totem. I just had less than stellar experiences with it. In a swf, it's pretty good because you can just throw out roles for everyone. But more often then not in my solo games, someone else would run into the hex before I did, or were going around charging inner strength.
It's definitely not trash, but I just find it situational.
-
I'd say because in solo queue, it doesn't matter if you break all the totems if your team won't do gens. It feels like in a majority of my games, I'm sitting here doing a minimum of 2-3 gens. Otherwise 2 people on deathhook and 1 gen has popped. So naturally I'm going to ignore totem perks. Also, I don't even think NoED is that good that I need to dedicate a slot for it.

Doesn't Identity V already have a "Photographer" as a Hunter?
They do but he's really different in power. I guess the closes I could describe it is that taking a photo opens a dream world where the survivors are paused in what ever they were doing at the moment they were photographed. The killer can damage these dream versions but only half is transferred to the 'real' version once the dream closes.... well as far as i remember it.
He's... kind if weird, but I do compliment IDV out there killer designs.
-
Does it deactivate when the survivor get hit? Is the perk available through out the whole trial? 35 seconds could be a free down on most maps and a potential ggez when dealing with basement saves.
-
Just let the girl have her glow up, she's come a long way.

All those "just open the gates"-people are quite the hypocrites.
Survivors dont need the hatch or that the gates activate when the hatch is manually closed, "Just walk to the killer and give up"
Backlash to this post will prove my point.
Also, yes 99'ing the gates is intentionally done by survivors to just not care about the EGC or Bloodwarden. You dont have to care about time limit on getting out if you open the door in a second and can leave immediatly.
I'm not sure I follow the hypocrisy part in an asymmetrical game where each side has different objectives.
It's like if i said:
Killers are so hypocritical about wanting exhaustion to pause when running yet they are always faster than survivors. Some of them even have powers that make them go even faster when ever they want.
-
lets go all out abstract.
The more cursed, the better.
-
spawn victor, jump on someone, look for someone else, spread damage, then 4 man slug with viktor. gg.

We didn't you bring up that killers can just open the exit gate, thus starting EGC?
Must of slipped the op's mind.

Idk. Green rank feels like pub stomper's paradise to me.

I don't really see many killer players being able to find someone based on footsteps though
It mostly comes out on maps with multiple levels, or when you're blinded. but uh.... some terrain seemingly don't play footstep noises randomly.
-
The devs just seem to hate stealth in general. This, whispers, and all aura reading perks.
-
doesn't it only give you the tip the first three times you go against them? and it's only you and after that, nothing.

No, probably a comma between live and could help separate the two related ideas. But it does make sense.
nvm, I missed something.

For a second, I thought they actually went through with rank rewards.

Sure. Just as soon as I can randomly (not predictably) down a Killer for a long period of time with well place knitting needles. Or the inability to look around a corner.
Yes! let pallets knock the killer completely unconscious. If it happens too much, the killer gets a concussion and the game is canceled.
-
Hopefully the up coming hit detection makes so when you try to play around this perk, you don't get phantom hit over the pallet anyway.

Playing any horror game it loses all is fear factor after playing it enough. My first several DBD games I remember playing it was really scary then after a month just wasn't scary at all any more.
Not just DBD many other horror franchise have the same problem Dead Space probably best example first game was terrifying cause it was new. Second game also great, but a little predictable. Third game really notice it being more action than horror since since everyone knows what to expect so can't get that same fear factor first 2 had.
God Dead Space really takes me back. I remember I was doing impossible mode, being super careful about everything. Then you notice that the necromorphs ONLY travel through vents... and uh.. you just run in and out of the room and shoot them in the back.
-
The only time I've really felt it's weight was the one time I had a teammate running it while I was running wake up. Some guy was looping a palletless jungle gym and we were able to open a 0 progress door lightning quick.
other than that, It's like a budget we'll make it that you force on your teammates.
-
How are you fellow survivor mains
-
are there even any games that make you close discord or any other background program that don't interact with the game before playing?
A genuine question because I thought people would just go around it.
-
I want to say that's compound thirty-three add on. when it applies hindered, you glow up all gooey.
-
they don't even need to do much, just add a scroll wheel with phrases like "do gens", " killer on me", " I'll save", "leave"

Right I understand, I guess that other option is to add bots when people dc
They could, or even add a 'surrender' option under special cases (like those insta-dcs in early game) + priority queues so the people left behind can get into a game fast.

That's fair, I main nurse and don't care about tunneling/slugging if the situation calls for it. I rarely camp though because it's counterintuitive.
It kind of depends, but yeah sitting there when you know they are on crucial gens usually isn't the best thing to do, but there are those fringe cases when you begin to walk away and see a bit of their heads sticking out the multiple bushes.
I will say, my brief season as nurse was refreshing. It was nice being able to run what ever I wanted no matter how much of a meme they looked... well, when the game isn't having a mental breakdown and just forgets how your power is supposed to work.

Oh yeah, not every game is against a sweaty 4 man swf. Ill give you that.
Maybe that's because (and this is an assumption) either you don't play too much killer and are low ranked, or killers who are usually stuck on killer due to queue times are now playing survivor so they are new ish.
Not an insult, just some genuine thoughts of why a 3k every match.
I also have been double pipping a lot as survivor, but it's because I play both and got rank reset on a break from dbd 2 times back to r20, and since I have only played tonnes of survivor recently I'm stomping through green ranks, hopefully purple soon.
It's only until this event that I've played survivor.
I usually 3k because I play killers that ignore pallets like huntress/deathslinger/PH, I don't avoid things that will help me win like camping/slugging/etc and the pipping system throwing in survivors that shouldn't be there in red rank.
Am I saying that killer is op? No, a good 4 man will always triumph a good killer in theory, but in practice, i have rarely fallen below a 3k because you will rarely run into them.

Or maybe they'll realise how easy survivor is in comparison
Either way, I hope it dispels the myth I read people telling newbie killers.
That every game is against an Oracle tier group, when matchmaking has made it so I have rarely fallen below a 3k.
-
I wonder if this extended playtime as killer will make them realize killer really isn't as hard as some claim it to be.
-
I don't think the stats have changed from that old one everyone quotes. Its was 56% kill rate for all ranks, but 68% at red rank.
Besides, we all know the drill with these stats. They are more for fun than anything.
-
Isn't ddosing an actual crime?
-
I'd probably either leave or play normally. I used to farm and give people points back when it was common for us to load into a 3 v 1 game, but it happened so often that I just got bored of it. I get it's the nice thing to do, but after a while, all I want to do is just play the game.

Of Course not. Why would I even modify when I've been playing this game since August 2016. I grind for 6K hours in 5 years without any using hax or cheats(Because in the first place, I don't know how to use it and that I even report Cheaters on my Stream). So How did I get the Ban so suddenly? Devs please review my Report. And Please give me an explanation how I got banned, When all I did was Stream and Grind to get all my characters to Prestige 3.
I'm just trying to guess what "errors in design" could mean.
I've been seeing people playing with custom character models and animations, so it was just the first thing to pop into my head.
-
Did you modify your game files in anyway?
-
Just spirit tingz
-
I dont know how to make DH more fair without reworking it. It's too inconsistent and easily counterable without the distance part.
If they did change it, I'd hope they scrap the entire thing.
-
I think it was only for the first week
-
With the current matchmaking we could also say that a lot of killers are also just bad.
Honestly. Everyone is pretty boosted until proven otherwise.
-
Apparently, they might be bugged.
It could be regional. I just got on and my survivor queues are 1 min-ish. Killer queues haven't changed for me... unfortunately.
I'm East US.
-
So instead of reworking parts of spirit, they gave up and said just never take off iron will.
welp, I don't even know how this is going to play out considering how buggy sounds are in general.

A lot of games have some sort of penalty for disconnecting. Usually the first 1 or 2 are freebies but after that there's a time penalty.
completive games do, but they barely or don't have one for the casual mode of said game.
Either way, DC is pretty lame for everyone involved, but at the same time, I do get it.

My solo experience is I do the gens while the swf cluster and fail at bullying the killer.
My god, please dont trigger my PTSD. I had one earlier where I was being interrogated about my rank and they fed killer easy downs roaching for flashlight saves.
Naturally, we all died
-
Let's also hope they learn that if you are going to sell a linked set, at least make all 3 pieces different from the base version.
-
I'm not sure there is a way to do it. They're good in low ranks, and near useless in high ranks.
What I really want is a BP buff to maps. I miss the old point burrito.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if that and Zanshin Tactics used the same coding.
