BL is apparently a stealth perk now lol
-
If slowdown perks are harder to stack then devs will have room to increase their power.
-
I don't remember them saying that.
-
There are more than enough killers playing.
-
Maybe just one polaroid. Other than that the perks look fine in theory.

I'm going to side on the NO THANKS, we do not need more emotes.
It would bring solo closer to swf, I'm all for it.

Oh, well it's actually not a bad idea I like how that sounds. That would balance hex perks a lot I think and wouldn't make them as unfair and useless as they currently are. So basically what you're saying is make it so that hex totems just kinda like boost the perk instead of being the perk.
I agree. That sounds cool but it would take too much work from the balance team who are already hard pressed.

Devour Hope could be reduced to it's 2 token state which is near useless anyway. NoED is an outlier where you need to cleanse all 5 totems on the map in order to kill it. It's reduced effect could simply be the movement speed buff.
I'm not saying to keep the effect at 100% if it's cleansed, but just not reduced to 0.
I think this entire thread is really unnecessary. Devs are giving maps good totem spawns and hexes will be plenty strong once that is implemented.

Spirit and Freddy are some of the easiest Killers to play. You cannot compare Doc to that. Not even close.
100% agree. Doc takes lots of timing.

BHVR are putting fluoride in the tap water to weaken our minds and make us more willing to accept killer nerfs. I will be documenting my findings in a 13hr youtube video shortly, stay tuned.
Damn I better subscribe with notifications on so I don't miss it!

Not exactly fragile perks Survivors just tend to use strong perks that are one time uses as common place. If you intend to nerf one side it's only reasonable to ask the same be done to the other. I find it ridiculous that after Ruin was nerfed and people are struggling that some entitled survivor Mains want more.
There's a guy on a thread right now arguing for BBQ&C to be a Hex perk. Seems more like people are boosted or ignorant of counters.
Okay, educate them. It's better than entertaining them.

Jesus killer conspirators are crazier than area 51 nuts here

Fine. I will allow this.
However, as a trade, every time I hit you, you lose one perk.
Does that sound fair to you? No? Neither is what you suggested.
Well don't forget to give survivors a fifth perk slot.

So if your allowed to destroy a killers perks does this means that a killer is allowed to break survivor perks too? Seems only fair.
I don't think that's the problem with this idea, especially given the fragility of survivor perks atm.
-
Haunted Grounds though? Hex perks though?
-
Everyone stop dcing, not just killers
-
Maybe they could tell you were running a strong add on?
-
Most people don't play enough killer to know about the bug. Until then, bring franklin's I guess?

It's essential at higher levels, and great with Freddy/PGTW. But a sign of the time problems with slower killers - you just cant make to to a yellow gen before it pops.
Seriously falling out of love with this game when the killers' only purpose is to be trolled by SWF survivors who can now hide under hooks unhittable.
Just don't swing at the survivor. Use the hit cone to your advantage.
-
Myers and oni are about the same...trapper is A, maybe gf or hag too
Other than that I unironically agree with this list.
-
I personally hate solo survivor and would rather play killer if my friends aren't on. Sad to see you're struggling but ain't much advice I can give you you haven't heard 3 times already. I will say clench gens together, works for me mostly.

There is already a visual notification.

What part of finding a survivor, winning a chase (usually vs exhaustion perks), picking up the survivor (and avoiding Flash saves / body blocking), and making it to a hook do you think is the least skillful part of activating BBQ for a specific range 4s aura reading on anyone that cannot counter it?
Please elaborate.
Hooking is the killer's objective. It can't be that hard.

Just had a match that perfectly explains whats wrong with the rank system lol. I know its bugged. But that kinda stuff happend allready before "it was bugged".
Devs: nerf ruin so noobs and beginners have more fun.........
Also devs: lets match a rank 18 survivor with a rank 1.
Like.......i know some survivors exploited the old system with smurf accs to bully new players but to be honest. this isnt a solution either. because there are acctualy still player that try to enjoy the game. I know right? sounds kinda stupid.
PS: Match was over in 4 minutes. 3 dead. gave the rank 14 hatch. They somehow still managed to do 3 gens which is kinda stupid. but it also showes how much bs the gen time.
I mean i completly demolished them with a chase going a max of 30 seconds and they still managed to pull 3 gens away under my ass. Like how much pressure should i aply lol.
Im seriously feeling sorry for beginners getting destroyed because i am not allowed to play fair or show mercy or otherwise i lose the entire match.
@Peanits do you know if the devs plan on reworking the rank system any time soon? Because in my opinion the emblem system doesnt even closly represent skill. e.g. cant get altruism points if no one gets hooked. Which means a derank for destroying a (maybe) new killer.
3 gens usually takes about 2-3 minutes. You performed very well imo.

To be honest, I would consider it B tier at most in solo because every time I try to use it the person I want to heal always runs away like a total cuck. :(
Yeah that's why I'm currently trying out swapping it for kindred in solo. The results are mixed and inconclusive but I do like using kindred :)

But isn't that a point... if players want to run those kind of perks then they gotta deal with the risk
Also it would be something that both killers and survivors can play around
I guess these would be fun ideas

3 ebony mori kills while insidious-camping resulting in emblem penalty and 1 DC = you obviously "won" BUT those were cheesy kills which is why the ranking system won't let you pip that way for your own safety as good survivors will destroy "cheesy strategies" any day of the week.
As for some survivors/their perks that you listed as sweaty:
- the person with Object of Obsession was obviously meme-ing. His first perk was No Mither. Might as well call it the "kill me - I'm over here - and injured" meme build.
- self care helps the killer more than it helps survivors. Many killer wins are the result of people self caring in a corner instead of working on gens while injured.
- and spine chill is just a beginner perk that's only useful against stealth killers and maybe Spirit to a small degree.
Would upvote but you dissed my favorite perk: Cat's Fancy

You're talking like those perks are an absolute requirement to be ran or else you will lose as a survivor.
That is not the case. I've survived plenty of games even with camping/tunneling killers without the need of second chance perks. So have plenty of other survivors, who continue to do so on a daily basis, even now. You can too.
It's actually surprising how much better you become when you take off the training wheel perks and learn to not rely on them. This is how I learned to not rely on balanced landing and circling the same loops over and over before it got nerfed. The nerf when it happen didn't even impact my play style while many others call it dead, because they never learned to use it more than repeating the same broken loops ad-infinitum.
Failing that, stealth is always an option, of course.
I don't personally use second chance perks, unless you think I'm not allowed to run BT even though I pretty much only use it for we'll make it synergy. My point is, if you don't want to get camped, tunneled, slugged, or downed quickly there are perks there to alleviate your pain. I also use exhaustion perks, not because I rely on them to cover up my mistakes, but to learn how to make best use of them to be of the most benefit to my team.
Also side question: is we'll make it a or s tier? In solo it is probably only a but in swf I can consistently half heal speed, buying my mates a lot of time in chase.
-
Broken buff would definitely hurt weaker survivor perks like Second Wind and Deliverance and No Mither.

As has been mentioned in every other thread, killers aren't leaving over ruin by it self. Ruin was just the last straw. They "ruined" a perk most people used to address a more fundamental problem (map design) without addressing the problem. Their entire announcement was all about the the survivor's experience, nothing about fixing the crap killers have to put up with.
Is killer still playable? Yes, obviously. You can play trapper and camp a 3 gen to death and slowly ping pong around until maybe you get kills. Is it viable? Yes. Is it fun? more and more killers say no. They see the path the game is on and don't want to dealing with it.
They say they're going to look at reworking maps. They just dropped a "reworked" map and it sure does look nice, but it's still full of safe pallets and loops. I spawn in as pallet freddy and can't place fake pallets because every pallet spot already has a real pallet. Doesn't inspire confidence for the future map reworks.
Overall they keep making the game less fun for killers, and the only response is git gud. Just apply more pressure. Just learn to mind game better. Just end chases faster. I don't want to sweat every game. Some killers are still having fun with it, and I still occasionally have fun with it (if I've had enough to drink), but I'm not at all surprised many killers are leaving with they way things are going.
I have fun as trapper. Something about survivors being helpless entertains me (hence I play instadown and fast approach killers like GF and Billy)

Any perk that makes the mistake you made go away.
If you wanna use crutches, go ahead. But it's stupid to insult killers for using crutch perks (not that I even consider BBQ a crutch perk) when many survivors are using them.
It's like insulting someone for bringing a knife in a fight while the person who's doing the insulting is dual wielding pistols and has a bazooka strapped to their back to boot.
Sorry, my mistake the killer tunneled me, downed me, camped me, or chased me. I should get better at the game to avoid these easily preventable situations.
-
People get salty when they lose. A lot of people come to the forums for no reason other than persistent loss. I wouldn't take anything in afterchat personally but I would also report anyone who gets out of hand.
-
Still don't have ruin on my killers but I hear it's good on pig, doc, and legion.

I don't run BBQ for the tracking. I run it for the blood points.
Almost every other tracking perk in the game is better than BBQ. Whisperers for example is an absolute god send. Infinitely better at tracking than BBQ imo, because it tells you where survivors aren't which drastically help make your time more efficient.
Most of the time I use BBQ I don't even see anyone because again, it has seven counters to it.
It's also hypocritical to insult killer skills when many survivors are running 2~4 second chance crutch perks each. Just saying.
Excuse me for using the best perks to play competitively. Should I put on lightweight, vigil, lithe, and resilience? Seriously, what do you consider a crutch?
-
I'm pretty sure if you're desperate you can try to hide your aura behind that of a gen
-
The ranking system is working. Failing to entertain the survivors will be punished 😠
-
The killer can't see you with bbq while you're in a locker.

Same to you. Also nice to see a fellow xbox perspective.

That's an interesting idea. So just to clarify:
If the Killer checks a locker you're in, the camera swaps to a first person perspective throughout the duration of the animation, then returns back to a third person field of view?
I have one question:
How does this affect the Decisive Strike skill check? Will the Skill Check appear after, during, or before the first person view?
It will stay the same. What you're asking may be about when the perspective changes happen.
-
Yes more perspective changes. Sadly it would probably cause bugs like basement bug :(

Hitting greats felt more satisfying with ruin up ngl.

Wait a moment... Today I said in a post that survivors abuse DS by repairing generators while it is active and you said to me:
"Oh no, survivors are giving me free pressure!! What next, complaining about survivors grouping on gens?"
And now you agree with ZoneDymo's idea?
Dude I can't understand anything.
I think DS should be less annoying, but I don't think giving the killer a free hit is abusing it.

You're welcome
