I just got this game a week ago because it looked fun. I figured being the killer was just hard at first due to having to level up. But the more I play I can definitely tell the survivors have a huge advantage. Gens done in 10 sec or less (4 complete within the first 2 minutes of the game), instant sabotage on hooks, the Scooby Doo chases you can't win, 5 sec full healing...it's ridiculous. Plus being ranked 17 or 18 and matched up against 6's and 10's with all purple perks when my killer is at level 10. Makes for a seriously aggravating time. This game is broken and definitely not fun as the killer which should be the best part imo. I'll stick to COD unless this POS makes it out of the trash it's currently in.
At this point the game has become a caricature of bad game design. Like if you wanted to describe a joke asymmetric game where you had a 1v4 game but gave the 4 every advantage, you couldn't do better than dbd.

If every wall in the map is breakable, that would be awesome, since you, as killer, can use your brain and break the wall in a specific place. New strats will come out, etc etc... but why breakable walls only in specific locations? and why don't they come pre-broken? Why make the killer waste time? Is it ever a good idea not to break that wall? I don't think it's the worst idea ever, it could be the beginning of something cool, but now it's just... meh.
Yeah I mean the answer is obvious, the devs cater to survivors. They identified broken loops and rather than fixing them, they gave the killer sometimes the option to remove them after already running them and giving the survivor a chance to escape. There is no reason that any identified breakable wall shouldn't just be removed, except that devs enjoy wasting killers' time.

I like scary stuff as much as the next guy, but just adding blood and gore isn't going to make it scary again. At some point, you just get hardened to the horror aspect of the game.
Nothing will make this game scary until you balance the killer into the power role. What's scary about a killer you can loop through 5 safe loops into the first hit into 5 more loops into the DH into 5 more loops into all the gens being done? The game will never be scary as long as the survivors are the power role.

That isn't at all what it is there for.
It is there to give them some hope.
Its 50/50. Plus a 3K (should be) a win.
"Survivor Hope" = second chance. Failed to do the gens? Well we'll give you another escape option. Now with EGC, failed to get to the second chance escape too? Well we'll enable two more chances for you.

Looks like all of my games tonight. Really ruins the fun for killers, but we know BHVR isn't really concerned about that.
-
Devs prefer survivors and will give them as many second chances as they can. Welcome to BHVR.
-
lol. BHVR can only hope to be on Blizzard's level some day. Bad maps, bad balance, bad matchmaking, bad graphics, full of bugs that don't get addressed, but AT LEAST they aren't disabling heroes for a week to keep the meta from getting stale.

I would recommend looking up Huntress tutorials on YouTube. It is literally more effective to just hatchet in terms of attack cooldown. If it was a good survivor, you just gave them extra free distance to a new loop.
There's a lot you still have to learn I think, so I can't really blame the game for going so quickly.
This is the saddest, truest statement. "You did m1 hatchet, instead of hatchet m1, that's why you lost 3 gens" the game turned on a 1s cooldown difference? Sad that this is the balance.
-
It feels that way because devs don't know how to do matchmaking. Or balance killers so they are fun. Nurse isn't worth the effort, just let her die like the devs wanted.

Wow that is TRULY pathetic. Way to bust her kneecaps and just ignore her. Another Legion :(

Well I completely agree with you. Stuns in PVP games are G A R B A G E, but I've made many posts about that in other games (Overwatch, Smite, etc...) and the general consensus seems to be players either don't mind or actually like stuns. I can't figure out why making your opponent literally unable to play the game while you kill them and win is in any way fun but that's the evidence I've seen.
I guess having to actually outskill them is just too much for stun players ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In other games they are not frequent, and can be potentially played around. You can avoid McCree's flash bang maybe, and it only happens if you are in melee range of McCree. Imagine if you were McCree and every time you fired a shot you had a mechanic called "muzzle recoil" that self-stunned you for 5 seconds. Who would want to play McCree then?
Obviously you can spend many hours working on blinks and git gud with nurse, but why do I want to waste my time? I'm not a dbd streamer, I get 2 hours of fun a night, why would I want to spend those two hours getting ######### on by survivors while i figure out blinks and get self-stunned every time I make a move? I'd rather play a different killer that doesn't have that mechanic (or more generally, another game because killer becomes less fun over time).

@Brucecastro81 does have a point, though. Why would they bother making a survey if they weren't going to read the responses?
Mostly to keep the killers believing they are still listening so they keep playing in hopes for game balance.
-
The overall is because she is not fun. Stuns are not fun for killers. I don't know why the devs can't figure this out, but stuns are not fun. Nobody has fun getting stunned. Nurse gets stunned every time she uses her power. She is not fun to play, so she is not played.

I'd like to know where you got the stats that no survivors have ever been banned ever.
Content creators (not an anecdote, actual proof) have been banned for using exploits too.
They don't consider the hook tech as an exploit, but it's something they want to patch eventually. That is very different from say infinite mending literally not letting survivors play the game.
If it is something they didn't intent to be there and plan to remove, then it is an exploit. They just don't consider exploits that hurt the killer's experience as a priority.

Legion main here. Is killer really that bad? I mean, sure, Ruin nerf and all, but it isn't the end of the world. Gens can go by fast in certain situations, but most survivors won't touch them if you can keep pressure on the gens, and not the tea bagging Dwight that chases you for an eternity. Not that I'm calling anyone bad at the game, but this is a bit out of hand. People are uninstalling because of one perk.
All I can really say is: don't give up on the game. Just understand that a few chases might need to be dropped for the sake of gens, and keep in mind that there will always be that one match of no kills. That won't be every game. Sometimes you'll get a game done before you know it.
Anyone against what I'm saying? I'll be happy to debate.
As has been mentioned in every other thread, killers aren't leaving over ruin by itself. Ruin was just the last straw. They "ruined" a perk most people used to address a more fundamental problem (map design) without addressing the problem. Their entire announcement was all about the the survivor's experience, nothing about fixing the crap killers have to put up with.
Is killer still playable? Yes, obviously. You can play trapper and camp a 3 gen to death and slowly ping pong around until maybe you get kills. Is it viable? Yes. Is it fun? more and more killers are saying no. They see the path the game is on and don't want to deal with it.
They say they're going to look at reworking maps. They just dropped a "reworked" map and it sure does look nice, but it's still full of safe pallets and loops. I spawn in as Pallet Freddy and can't place fake pallets because every pallet spot already has a real pallet. Doesn't inspire confidence for the future map reworks.
Overall they keep making the game less fun for killers, and the only response is git gud. Just apply more pressure. Just learn to mind game better. Just end chases faster. I don't want to sweat every game. Some killers are still having fun with it, and I still occasionally have fun with it (if I've had enough to drink), but I'm not at all surprised many killers are leaving with they way things are going.
-
I was previously, but no way i would now. Boring AF. Killer requires you to sweat like no other, survivor you just coast through.

When a killer is nearby and the music gets louder I actually start to feel nervous and frightened.
Someone even said he's bored by the game and I'm just here feeling like i'm watching a horror film that is actually scary. Is anyone else like that or am I a clown for that? I mean I even start stretching my legs under my desk to relieve the stress
I'm relatively new, I mean I don't know if it's even been a week but still.
Yeah you get over that once you learn there is always a pallet loop within 2m of your location, or if you do get hit, a god loop you can run to. Then the game stops being a horror movie and becomes a Benny Hill sketch.
